I may have picked a bad time to visit but the place was noisy and smelled of pot. Not a great stay.

Rooms are very spacious and clean. This is a great location close to major highways, but very quiet. Beds are comfortable and staff are so friendly. Highly recommend.

We absolutely love the temperature of the pool. It’s the only reason we come to this hotel to get away.

Soaps and lotions were used from previous stays, almost empty bottles in bathrooms. Bathroom wasn’t up to my standard (floor)

The queen size beds felt really small. They were also deflated like the mattresses were well beyond their expiry date. The TV didn't work neither did one of the lamps. the breakfast buffet was definitely below par. The eggs were so dry, not sure what was going on with the potatoes, the bagels felt like it was very stale. I think there are definitely better places to stay.

Nice and affordable hotel close to Hershey Park. The staff were all friendly and the property had a lot of amenities. Not super modern, but still clean and nice.

Nice stay in Harrisburg

Good stay, would come again.

I’ve stayed at this hotel for a few nights every year for the last 5 years with my daughter. This was the first time that I had a bad experience with my room. There was mold on the ceiling, water marks, mold on the tracks by the patio door. The room was quite dusty (even though it was just cleaned as we had to wait). The service is always the best here and hoping next year’s stay we won’t have mold in our room. The beds in our room were also very dipped in the center (we had two king sized beds). I’ll be back as this one bad experience might be a one off. My daughter loves this property for the pool. It’s the best in the Hershey/Harrisburg area.

Very family friendly and for a couple when there’s no kids. Over all great

There was cobwebs in 60%for th corners as well as black mold. Pillows were stained and oddly sized.

The family loved the indoor pool, playground, and video game areas. There was a clow convention staying at the time we did. That made it extra fun for the kiddos.

Family overnight

Stay was nice. We were celebrating my daughters 10th birthday. She wanted a heated pool which u offered and she was happy. Room was clean...sofa bed was uncomfortable but everything else was great. Staff has been very nice and getting stuff to our room when asked at a timely setting. We would stay out here again if we were in the area.

Check-in was super easy and convenient

This was our first time staying at this hotel. Everyone was very nice and we were able to check in early. The kids had the pool to themselves and it was nice and warm. The overall hotel is a little bit dated and needs some updating. I walked into the hotel room and thought a sponge was on the floor but it was a piece of a chicken finger from the previous guests. I quickly threw it out bc I didn’t want to hear my husband complain. lol. The bathroom was dated and shower didn’t seem as clean and it could be. Sink had no center thing. Beds were comfortable.

The bar/restaurant area by the lobby was nice to have. The room wasn't great or horrible. It was nice having a patio. I'd stay again if in the area

We only stayed one night but the room was very comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was our noisy neighbors at 7:30 am.

There was a party in the room next door to ours and they were annoyingly loud. The staff did not do a thing about it, perhaps because the staff were no where to be found. The party went on until around midnight, which is when a fight broke out. The walls are paper thin and you can hear absolutely everything coming from the neighboring rooms- partying, babies crying, talking, the showers, etc. The check-in process was quick and easy. The staff at the front desk were kind and helpful. The hotel itself is very outdated. The carpeting is old and stained. It looks like the hotel has not been updated since 1980.

The hotel did not live up to the reviews. It needs modernization to satisfy powering today's computer devices? Eg. USB ports. Our room was looking tired especially in the bathroom.

The grounds were overall nice, however our room had 1 bed with dirty sheets/comforter and the other bed seemed fine.

We had a great stay!

People were pleasant except one lady who I requested to reset my key card. She ignore me at first than one of the gentleman told her to help me than she become annoyed. We are Two profesional hispanic decent people. The room had a weird smell.

Everyone on staff at the hotel was very friendly from the minutes we walked through the lobby. They helped us with a room upgrade, and asked whether balcony or patio (we went with ground floor). It was easy in and easy out of the room and to the car and back again. The room was spotless, and the bathroom was sparkling. The breakfast buffet the next morning was great too! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

Family friendly with huge indoor and outdoor pools and kids play area, arcade, ping pong and pool tables, but we only saw adults. Outstanding staff from Front desk, Housekeeping, waitresses, and even maintenance (minor). It's only 15 minutes from Hershey, Target and plenty of restaurants next door, seemed safe area. It could be updated in spots and the huge hot tub isn't a bubbly jacuzzi. Hidden value spot

Great staff. Welcoming and helpful. Good location. Hotel is clean but needs updating in the rooms. The continental breakfast for $8.00 not really worth it no protein options. Add some hard boiled eggs or omelets. I stayed one night and would recommend as a waypoint on a journey.

The staff was great! The stay was great, there were a lot of options; basketball courts, tennis courts, pool, hot tub! This place ideal for families, rooms are huge compared to other hotels

Let me tell you! I travel frequently , stay many places! THIS by far is one of the best hotels i ever stayed at! I can’t begin to list all the things that this hotel has to offer! THE pools are immaculate , the rooms are spotless, MOST comfortable beds ever! Conveniently located within walking distance to anything you need! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable ! WE WILL BE BACK here no doubt! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

This was probably a nice hotel 20 years ago. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel had amenities we needed as a family -- indoor/outdoor pool, suite rooms with a door between rooms, and a restaurant. But everything was old and needed an upgrade or maintenance -- worn out beds, rugs, and furniture, clogged sink, run down pool facilities, worn out linens. Restaurant was closed 1 of 2 days. Overall, not horrible, but we expected more.

The lady we had at the dash was very considerate and happy and thankful. The elevator smelled like a wet dog. It did part of our room we paid for a suite otherwise it was good.

This is my third time here. The hotel has gone down hill badly. It used to be such a nice clean place to stay. The rooms are spacious but that is all positive here. The rooms are dirty and the smell is disgusting. All the sinks were clogged. The sofa bed was horrific with the mattress yellow like someone peed on it. There is no cleanliness at all here. We asked for new bed sheets and towels and they never came. The mold and mildew was everywhere. The majority but not all staff was very unfriendly. When my kids were at pool they just stand there and watch you because of so many rules there. I felt like I was in the military all over again. I should talk about the racial preferences there but it disgusts me racism still is here in our wonderful country. My last stay and so sad but if they are all about RULES but no concern about cleanliness and abundance is rules. Enjoy your time open cause I see this place closing soon.

All staff and management were very friendly and helpful. Loved all their smiles! The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The pools and grounds were also well maintained. The only thing we noticed (and not a complaint) is the age of the property, particularly the room bathrooms. Most other things have been updated appropriately.

Fun family friendly hotel

Fun family friendly hotel. Enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, courts, table tennis, arcade and more. We will be back next time we are in the area. They also have a lounge area, bar and restaurant.

Wonderful staff and amenities.

We loved our stay at Red Lion! All staff were friendly and professional, our room was clean, and the amenities, especially the two pools, were wonderful. We drove 7 hours for a concert that ended up getting cancelled the day after our arrival. The staff and manager understood how disappointed everyone was, and offered concert guests half price to return for the concert. I found that very thoughtful and kind. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, and would gladly stay there again anytime. I definitely recommend Red Lion Harrisburg.

Stayed here for a soccer weekend tournament, hotel and rooms are disgusting and dirty. Very outdated. Upgrade to a suite, hoping it would be better no chance not worth the money.

Hotel is big, not sure if many know about this Hotel name? Its a bit dated but was ok. The rooms / Hallways / washrooms all need a refresh and upgrades.

Indoor and outdoor pool options and playground for kids

We had a wonderful time here. Very well priced. Facility had everything we needed. Great outdoor and indoor pools. The outdoor courtyard was fantastic. Restaurant/ bar were wonderful. The highlight though was the staff..they were the best. They made sure our stay was the best.

We absolutely love this hotel! The staff are so helpful and incredibly friendly! The hotel itself is very clean! Both of the pools are amazing! I could go on and on about how much we love this hotel! After finding Red Lion, this is the only hotel we will stay at now when visiting the area!

The property is dated and in need of updating, but is generally clean and functional. The pillows are hot and uncomfortable. The appear to be $1.99 polyester lumps. The air conditioner kept the room cool, but did not remove much humidity. The room always felt clammy.

Freat place to stay and enjoy with your family.

We stayed at this hotel for an event at Hersheypark stadium. I had thought there was a continental breakfast included but there was one to purchase. I wasn’t feeling well at checkout and the friendly staff was so kind to let me get some toast free of charge and offered my husband breakfast as well. They asked it there was anything else they could get me before we left. I was very thankful for the kindness and compassion they showed me and would stay here again.

The only bad thing they smell like dog!!!!

Enjoyed our stay. The pools were clean and clear. The largest outside pool of any hotel I’ve ever been to. The adult only hot tub was nice. The restaurant on site was excellent. Highly recommend!

Very old fashion in the inside of the hotel. The rooms were out dated. Under the beds were disgusting. The sheets had stains on them. And the cherry on top there was a mouse in my room! I was very disappointed being that the pictures were decent online. Only good thing was the pool outside.

The bed wasHORRIBLE, very uncomfortable.After 3 nights I had to get an air mattress to get through 4th night. Bedding was ripped and torn. The black out curtains had holes, and didn’t do much good to block the sun. Hotel was in major disrepair, wall paper pealing all over. Ice aching does not work. And to be clear, no breakfast included, ends at 10, they tell you 11, and it is $16 a person. Just go to the capital diner down the road, great service and food.

This place was great with all six of my children.

The Staff here including the Manager Ralph are super friendly. This place is great for groups as there is a lot of common areas, pools, outdoor space and areas to meet. But they could use an update or a remodel.

Great stay

Stay was great. Room needed some updating other than that, clean. Room was 10/10 clean. Hallways 8/10. Needed to be vacuumed. Breakfast was great the 2nd day. Well worth it. 1st day, meh. Front desk. Check in and it was easy. She was nice, efficient and very friendly. Check out, the gentleman at the front desk was rude, disrespectful, arrogant, witty and just an overall waste of time to speak to. Whole experience would have been perfect if it wasn’t for him. I wish I had the patience to write about it but I’m not gonna waste my time. Overall, I’d stay the again. Great for families.

the building appears a little older on the outside but it is very clean and has a wonderful family atmosphere. Our family enjoyed the pool, hot tub, play ground, Basketball court, and more. The restaurant has limited hours and a limited menu but the staff was always wonderful. The rooms were clean, despite a few stains on bedding and such but you’ll have that. I would stay again.

This property is great for visiting Hershey Park. The staff is the best. It has a huge pool, arcade, ping pong, kids playground, indoor pool. Grounds are beautiful. We had a really nice big double king patio room. The only fault is the room could have been a little cleaner and the bathroom is dated.

Staff was happy and friendly. The hotel was clean and very specious areas to just sit and hang out with family and friends. Very large outdoor pool was great. They also have an indoor pool, volleyball court, tennis court, playground for kids, indoor arcade, ping pong tables etc...plenty to do with a family.

No hot water one nite , very noisy, the wallpapers were ripped and peeling, ppl smoking in the balcony upstairs etc

Nice hotel for the night.

I honestly wasnt in the room for long but the AC worked, both pools were open if i had the time to use them, it wouldve been perfect! I had a check out with Samantha and she was pretty cool! I would definitely make the 3.5 hour drive to stay there again!

Wow! This was the best hotel experience we’ve had! Our stay was a short overnight, but it was worth reviewing. Very clean, so much for the kids to do, and the staff members were too notch! We have traveled a lot, with and without children. This was the best experience we have had yet.

Best employees around

Staff was wonderful. The nicest employees I have experienced in all my hotel stays, was here. Room was very spacious and cool. The bed was comfy as well. Only suggestion is that I wish we were able to have bedding for the pull out couch. Was told there was none. We ended up using some of the sheets from the bed. That worked well enough. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Not the best…

The hotel is very old, outdated and is just dirty. There is no maid service (unless you stay for more than 3 nights) and they will only supply you towels if you get them from the front desk. Dirty towels and trash and left in hallways for employees do pick up when they are available. The front desk staff was very friendly and the outdoor pool/ playground area was great for large groups of kids.

It was a wonderful stay. It was relaxing and comfortable.

The Redlion Hotel is 5 star resort. My experience started with the staff being available and present before I had even stepped foot on the property. They provided timely and uniquely curated information which made my itenerary planning a breeze. Once at the property I was greeted with top notch customer service that rivals the likes of The Mandarin, Four Seasons and Belmond. The staff made us feel at ease, which can be quite challenging at times for my special needs son. At the end of the stay my son hugged, Randal the owner, which he verry rarely does with anyone! What set this hotel apart were the first rate amenities, a beautiful outdoor pool that looks like the blue lagoon. Plus an indoor pool as well and a hot tub. A Club room with ping pong tables and video arcade games. Extra large lobby spaces with nooks and crannies to watch tv, read a book, or just have a private chit chat in a serene setting. The suite we were in was reminescent of Greek design it had a harmonious blend of beautifully ornately decorated wood with rich creme walls and glass paned double doors. Plenty of space for a family to stretch out and relax and included a microwave and refrigarator! Thanks Redlion staff your hotel provided the perfect backdrop for a verry serene and peaceful vacation! Will definitely be back again.

Short Stay

I had a very short stay, my room was comfortable and clean. Customer service was friendly. Breakfast had many selections to choose from.

Everything about this hotel is much more like a resort. Brittny and the front desk staff were so kind and helpful. With the multiple clean pools/ hot tub, game rooms, courts with available equipment, extensive buffet, social environment, and spacious comfy rooms my family didn’t want to leave! We will be back for sure.

We always try to stay at this location as staff is always at the top of their game. EXCELLENCE ALL AROUND.
