Friendly staff. Good location.
Hotel staff was friendly. Room was a bit dated and old. Aircon operation made a loud noise.
Conveniently located, clean and basic room for the price, basic breakfast, good service
Horrible!!! Dirty bath, old and broken sheets and towels! Dirty again! Old and un maintained rooms! Worts Wifi ever! I had to book another hotel and I did not get any Refund from Expedia because the hotel said: NO, and for Expedia the client issues in their hotels does not matter
Great hotel
Great hotel. Ali was friendly and helpful. Ephesus ruins were amazing.
Fantastic little hotel for the money
Our stay was great with no complaints. Staff at hotel were fantastic...very helpful with info..
Friendly Staff
They are very kind and helpful. John the Baptist Church was a five minute walk away.
Basic but pleasant
Basic but fine. Air conditioning worked well, shower was fine. Had a fridge in the room and was 10 minutes walk from the town centre so quiet at night.
this is a small pension right next to the historical mosque and st John's church and tomb. The archaeological museum is a short walk away as is the centre of town with all the eateries and shops. Although the hotel does not have a private car park you can park right outside in a safe street. Ephesus is a short drive away. We stayed 3 nights in 2 different rooms. The ground floor small double is a little on the small side but is clean and had a private bathroom. Being onthe ground floor it is a little humid. It had a window and a/c. The other room had a four poster bed and being on the second floor and having two windows was breezier. It also had 2 balconies. Unfortunately the balconies were not good to use as each one had the air con unit from the other rooms fixed to the wall there and sitting there to enjoy the breeze rather defeated thr object as there was hot air blowing out noisily above you. The room was bright and clean but you were rather on show as the people in the hotel opposite could see right inside. The staff were all especially welcoming and hospitable and very generous too. Our last night was a bit noisy due to kids making a noise. But all things considered: the lication, the staff, the price and the great breakfast with a view on the terrace made this a good overall stay
Down to Earth Quaint Hotel
Rebetika was a quaint hotel close to all the sites and some within walking distance. This property was the owners family home that he converted into a hotel. The room was quite comfortable and clean. The high point of this hotel was the owner and his willingness to go all out for you. We needed something to eat so he called in sandwiches for us and had them delivered and we ate and talked together. He also arranged taxi service to the major sites (wonderful) and then cooked us dinner on his roof top terrace which is breathtaking. He sat down and talked with us at dinner which was quite enjoyable hearing about growing up in Turkey and about Turkey in general. We enjoyed our short stay here and wished to stay longer. Our room had 2 balconies to watch the happenings on the streets.
Fabulous hotel
Great location, owner was very helpful. Very clean and huge rooms. Definitely will stay again.
Small hotel but a great option.
My wife selected the hotel because of its location and it was right on. She booked a small room because we planned on being out all day and weren't going to be spending much time at the hotel anyway, but the owner would't hear of it, he had a larger room that was not booked for the night and just transfered us at no extra cost. Everyone was very kind. The room was very spacious and modern, very close to the main boulevard and us station. Many restaurants closeby. This is a really good option.
For the price it is worth the stop!
We had a very brief stay - arriving late from our flight to Izmir and getting very lost because we followed the wrong hotel on Google! Make sure it is the right one because it is simple really. The hotel was ok when we finally found someone to get the key from - refreshing that they left all the rooms and doors open without a single person to make sure no one came in and stole the TV or computer - shows how free of crime Turkey is! However we were wandering around the hotel for a long time before we found someone. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Overall a good budget hotel ideal for Ephesus which is almost walking distance if it isn't too hot.
Family visit
We visited during February and it was during a very cold week. After driving around a little - streets aren't named clearly and either was the hotel - we found the place. THE staff were friendly and showed us quickly to our room. It was spacious enough for us but was pretty cold with no heating. Air conditioner helped a bit but was noisy. The beds were comfortable and enough blankets to go around. Breakfast was very tasty and prompt. There was limited internet in the room.
Do not stay here
Room is cold.and dirty with a funny smell. Towel blanket and bed sheet are blackish, seems like.didnt get cleaned properly, sockets.are not working. Breakfast is awful, we only get to eat 1 omelette and 2 saussages.Owner and staff is kinda bias, they only show helpful towards female. Toilet is disgusting and shower.did not have hot water.Overall we hav bad experience here.
The Staff was really great
This little hotel was so nice! Although most of the small staff there spoke very little English, we had no problems. The room had a heater and hot water which was very nice because it was cold, especially at night. The location was very good! We were off of the main street so it was nice, quiet, and no traffic noise. The location was great! It was right down the street from St. John's Basilica, good eating places, shops, and the bus station. Also, Ephesus, the temple of Artemis, and house of Virgin Mary were very close by a quick bus ride. We were provided a good breakfast, not a huge variety, but it was really good! I think what really made our experience great was how the main worker (I don't remember his name) helped us so early in the morning. We booked an airport shuttle to pick us up for 4:15 am, but they never showed. We had to wake him up at 5 am. He told us no problem at all, called us a taxi, and waited for it to show up. 10 seconds later when it showed, he talked to the driver making sure we weren't over charged and we got to the airport in plenty of time. Since we had paid 100 Lira to the tour company(same company we booked the shuttle from), he said that he would talk to the company and get that back for us. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone!
Not recommended
We booked an economy double room and the overall experience was negative. The bathroom was dirty and the toilet bowl hadn't been cleaned for ages. There was no hot water in the night and the following morning and the shower cubicle wouldn't drain. We spoke to other guests and this appeared to be a common occurrence. The mixed grill dinner was overpriced. The owner, who was multi-tasking as the manager and the cook, wasn't bothered. We checked out after one night and moved to another hotel.
Roomy room
Overall stay of 2 nights, just fair, room size very comfortable, clean room but no remote could be found for the television, hair dryer not working, not very organise during breakfast. First impression of the establishment not well kept, reception area dirty including the restaurant. The breakfast area as well not well maintained, surrounded by dead pot plants. Location is in old part of town about ten minutes walk to the bus otogar.
Nice location and good restaurant
Location is great and close to the sites. Walking distance to St' John church.Staff is very nice and the restaurant is good with great shisha.
Good hotel for price
Good location, clean room, friendly staff
Rooms need a re-do
The rooms are below average- hotel 6 it's better quality. Beds sheets had blood stains, bathroom needs a gallon of Clorox -and floors need major vacuuming and mopping. I listened to the other reviews and stayed there really regret it- stay at Bella they provide transportation to and from all attractions
Great service!
We felt that the staff went above and beyond to help us, as we were leaving super early for a flight and they wanted to make sure we had breakfast. Beautiful roof deck, and very good location for seeing Ephesus.
Best place in it's budget-band in Selcuk
The location was superb with beautiful terrace views, room was cleaned daily, get breakfast and the people were absolutely lovely and friendly. Highly recommend.
Perfect location and terrace, friendliest staff
When you arrive at the Rebetika, check the exterior and walk into the lobby, you see a run down-looking hotel. But when you check in and go to your room, you see the hotel exterior appearance was completely deceiving and didn't reflect the overall great quality of the room. Then you walk upstairs and become awestruck by the beauty of the terrace and the 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding monuments, the top tourist sights in town. The staff is also some of the best Turkish people I've met. Very helpful, reliable, trustable, friendly, make you feel at home, go out of their way to make you happy and satisfied.
Simple, and friendly
This place was a great value, simple and yet very friendly staff. We were offered a free ride across town, and were treated very well. It's in a quiet area off the beaten path, but a quick safe walk to the center of town. The owner Sulemon (sp?) was great.
Must stay
This is was our cosiest stay in Turkey. Large cosy rooms and good location next to the Citadel of Ayasoluk, 5 km from Ephesus, 8 km from beach. Super friendly hotel owner also runs a little carpet factory nearbay, so if you want to see how they are being made or you want to buy some for fair price just ask him for excursion. If you plan to stay around here, this is the place.
Good value for money
Pros: Clean, good value, very helpful hotel staff, close to Ephesus & Temple of Artemis Cons: No phone or tv in room Overall very good value for money.
Nice
Otelin konumu sabahın ilk ışıklarını görmesi gerçekten muhteşem. Çalışanların sıcak kanlı olması, yardımsever olması bu güzel iklimli coğrafyaya güzellik katıyorlar
Grand deluxe oda da kaldık, sistemde banyo ve kozmetik ürünleri yazmasına rağmen sabun dışında kozmetik ürünü verilmedi, rica ettiğimizde yasak olduğu söylendi, odamızda terlik yoktu, güvenli kasa dedikleri çalışmıyordu, girişte 8.30 -10.30 arası denen kahvaltı ertesi gün 10 da bitti sorunca da yanlış anlamışsınızdır dediler ( ilk gün 2 resepsiyonist e de sormuştum) , zaten daha girişte koltukta yatıp biz girdiğimiz halde istifini hiç bozmayan çalışandan kötü bir deneyim olacağını anlamıştık ,saolsun Gülay hanım kahvaltı problemimizi çözdü burdan kendisine tekrar teşekkür ederiz.
vasat
Wunderbarer Ausblick
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Das schönste war die Dachterasse. Das Zimmer super.
The staff was friendly at first and we checked in without problems, we were given a free drink, all fine so far, the 2nd drink we ordered was charged 15€ for a single glass of unnamed white wine, I would pay more if this was agreed both sides but not like that ! Breakfast was late by 20minutes no reason given
Idare eder.
Balkonsuz oda
Odamiz temizdi ve buyuklugu gayet iyiydi banyoda ayni sekilde ancak odada balkon olmayisi bizi cok zorladi odadaki televizyonda sökülmüştü monitör alinmis yani yoktu. Balkon olmayisi cok buyuk eksi oldu o yüzden tekrar tercih edebilecegimiz bir otel olmadi. Birde sistemde onaylanan fiyat ile otelde bizden tahsil edilen tutar farkliydi
I likes the excellent staff and the comfort of the hotel.
It is very terrible hotel.
Rebetika Otel tatilimiz

Staff in reception is welcoming and helpful. Location is near St John Basilica which is one in our itinerary.
