Radisson Blu Muscat
The hotel keeps the Radisson Blu standard. Thus, I knew what to expect and was not disappointed.
I ordered an airport transfer through the hotel wanting to make life easy. It was close to an hour late. It would have been cheaper and easier to get a taxi.
Old facility Lack of cleaning
Good hotel with pool and easy parking
Lovely hotel in a lovely country
Great breakfast. Calm and quiet hotel. House keeping fully respects the do not disturb sign. The hotel is located in a vibrant area with endless food options in easy walking distance.
The room was great and hotel was excellent.
Excellent short stay for a conference. Great staff and facilities. Lounge room was awesome.
Helpful staff
The hotel price was a key factor. You get a clean and balanced stay at good hotel for an even better price. Property is in a decent location, and staff were very nice. Very polite, always responsive, and helpful. Accommodating at all times of the day or night.
Nice and decent hotel
Good
Nice, kind, friendly staffs
Room is spacy
service deteriorated
service was pathetic . Bathroom cleanliness !!
Very pleasant stay. Beautiful pool area and nice breakfast. But what made for such a pleasant stay was the staff! In a word! Exceptional. Helpful, kind, nothing seemed to be a hassle!
It is very friendly and helpful staff in the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay
Staff at this hotel are amazing. Pool area great. Breakfast great. Made to order eggs. Lucky Lizard staff are beautiful people. It’s an interesting people watching bar at night. Lots of restaurants around make sure to read reviews first. Seven fishes is a good one. Crossing the road is a bit awkward but you get used to it
Friendly staff and well maintained property
Wonderful staff. Clean facility.
It is close to the airport and the pool is nice. They can arrange pick up service from the airport
Nice hotel, friendly staff just don’t leave anythi
I left some swim shorts in my room (502). I reported to hotel and they promised me a call back but I’ve heard nothing which is disappointing to be honest
Need to maintain the same old standard
Things changed in last 2 years ..in terms of cleanliness , service , breakfast (especially)
Wonderful staff, accommodating, all pleasant. Great room and breakfast. Staying there again upon my return.
Bars
Friendly and helpful. Very fast Wi-Fi excellent for Teams meetings
Average hotel for the price
Average hotel and ok for the price. Food by the pool is the same menu (and possibly kitchen) as Lazy Lizard and the Irish bar and it was below average and over priced. The hotel seems to be in the middle of a roundabout with no easy way to walk to the shops/cafes as the roads are 3 lanes wide and no crossings etc.
Do yourself a favor and stay here!
We travel to Muscat often and have stayed at some of the more expensive hotels in the area, but we always compare them to Radisson Blu! This hotel really is the best recommendation in the city for anyone (local or tourists). The staff and services are impeccable, and we will again be back at our next opportunity.
The hotel was pratically empty and they tried to sell a room upgrade and when i refused they give me a room with less requirement of my reservation.
Muscat's Best
The number of times we've stayed here over the years speaks for itself! We couldn't be happier with safety and health precautions taken, while still keeping a welcoming and relaxing hotel atmosphere. We tried the dinner buffet and would definitely recommend it. Everyone working at the pool and Lazy Lizard is the best and so considerate!
Outdated
I dont think the hotel room is worth the price I paid for. The hotel room is outdated. Very common. Dont think we will be back. Service of employees are good though.
The hotel has a lovely breakfast area and a good breakfast buffet. It is convenient to the stadium. Staff are thoughtful and attentive, but could do a better job of separating some of their guests form others. Why? Sometimes high school sports teams are there. During our stay we were loudly won by team coaches at 6:15am and the noise got worse until the teams finally left for breakfast 45 minutes later. I felt particularly bad for the woman with kids across the hall from us who came out into the hall, told the students that she had young kids and asked the students to mind their language and quieten down as the hotel had other guests than student sports teams. The students were up late into the night shouting and playing music. Management was good about quieting them down and posted a security guard on our floor to keep them quiet. ~My question is: why not put all the teams on one floor and all the regular guests on different floors?
Look no further, this is the best!
We've stayed here dozens of times and we're always happy, but this weekend was especially nice as the wonderful staff helped to prepare a surprise cake and room upgrade for my husband's birthday. The staff is always great and the hotel is the best value in Muscat (we've stayed at many hotels throughout Muscat so we have concluded this from much experience). It is our home away from home (Nizwa).
Average. Not met to its standard. Room is small, Echo inside the room, lot of noise disturbance. In front of hotel is nice, spacious parking, located at good place, pool is good for kids and women. Overall experience, given more price for less quality..
Good Stay all around
Good central location in the City, reasonable price and comfortable stay. Hotel is a little dated, but overall a good choice
Great hotel for a short business trip.
great stay- Very friendly and professional staff everywhere in the hotel, they train their employees for excellence! great pool area, very relaxing - hotel needs to be updated, it is a bit plain and outdated in decor by 2019 standards! Food is of great quality, half board option worked really well for our family. Would stay here again.
Amazing
Amazing
Good food. Very comfortable. Good Gym. Good pool. Will stay here again if I return to Muscat
First Muscat visit
Really friendly staff, couldn't fault them. Located in nice area with a good selection of cafe & restaurants in short walking distance
Perfect hotel
Perfect service in all departments. Cannot fault the hotel. Have stayed there several times and it is always excellent
Lovely Muscat break
Lovely hotel with helpful and friendly staff. We upgraded to a business room on the business floor with access to the Business lounge, which was well worth paying the extra.
The Run out of water the 2nd morning of my stay... Never seen such a thing before and had to wait 2 hours for them to get the water so I can shower and get ready for my meetings....
It's a good hotel, but the surroundings are not good, with a motorway access overlooking it. The swimming pool is excellent but why are the showers in the women's facilities UNHEATED, while men can have hot showers? are women second class citizens? Dining at the hotel is expensive but good. However there are varied and excellent restaurants nnearby.
Food in the restaurants was excellent. Nice pool & seating area, though very close to flyover. Showed England rugby game on a large outdoor screen. Staff very helpful. Reasonably central though Muscat so spread out have to take expensive taxis. Starbucks round the corner but no obvious, decent restaurants other than hotel.
Thanks for warm welcome
We had a very nice stay. Friendly staff, good food and good location
A good stay
We enjoyed our visit to the Radisson Blu, staying in one of the Executive rooms. The room was fine, without being enormous. It had good Nespresso coffee making facilities but the bathroom was quite small and the air conditioning left a little to be desired, (We had to keep balancing between having it on - it seemed to be set at 19 degrees - and turning it off and opening the window when it got too cold. The Executive Club lounge was good but rather lacking in atmosphere. The breakfasts were excellent as was the Indian buffet night we attended. We found some enjoyable, though not the smartest, local restaurants.
The pool area is fantastic. The breakfast was excellent. The room was excellent and the free Nescafe expresso machine and capsules was tops. The area is good and the Diwan Turkish restaurant a short walk away served the best meal we had in Muscat. The only criticism is the lounge. Poorly decorated, lousy canapes. A small selection of alcohol from 6 to 8 PM and pretty lousy service. Needs work.
Ideal for our family visit to Muscat. Very helpful staff.
Ice hotel, but location away from main tourists areas, such as Al Qurm and Mutrah.
Quick check in, clean and nice facilities, helpful staff and nice area
Good experience. Staff were friendly and room was pleasant
Grateful
It was amazing
Was received very well even that I checked in late. Nice breakfast
Superb but too short stay
The hotel was everything I expected it to be, given I am familiar with the chain. I was most surprised to receive an upgrade to a suite. I very nice gesture. Needless to say the room was very comfortable. I also arranged for a transfer from the airport through the hotel, and also to the port next day. Both were accomplished quite satisfactorily and easily on my hotel account. The staff that I met throughout were also most amenable, pleasant and very helpful. I thoroughly endorse this hotel. Unfortunately due to my very short stay I was unable to test all the amenities especially the outdoor pool and garden.
Nice relaxing hotel
Nice hotel in a reasonably convenient location for visiting places of interest in Muscat. Comfortable rooms, nice restaurants and excellent swimming pool facilities.
Excellent hotel and staff
Stay here every time in Oman on business and can't fault hotel and staff one bit everything excellent and very helpful plasent staff
Good hotel with nice outdoor swimming pool. Good location with plenty of restaurants in the area.
Room need update some towels and items are very old , must do some renovation
Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel with great amenities and very friendly staff. Staff were always on hand to answer any queries.
Friendly staff and cleanliness views not so great
Wonderful stay in Muscat
Upgraded to a business class room and was very pleased with that decision. Room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and had great WiFi. Breakfast was good, and all staff members superb.
Wonderful experience although hotel a little tired they allowed us to keep our room until 5pm without additional charge. Restaurant good and staff friendly
Great stay
Great value for the money. Nice staff and beautiful city to visit
Spring Break 2018
From the time we arrived until we were on our way to the airport we had an amazing time. My son, husband, and I all agreed that our next visit to Muscat we will definitely be staying at The Radisson Blu again. The daily breakfast buffet was delicious as were other offerings during lunch and dinner. The entire staff we helpful and friendly. Even the gentleman in gift shop was great. The only thing we will change is that we will most likely get an adjoining room for our son....he's outgrown being cramped in a room with his parents. Overall we loved our stay. Nothing but a fantastic experience.
Hotel was very good value for the money.
The hotel was clean and well run. The staff were very professional extremely helpful. If I go back to Muscat I would definitely staff there.
Great hotel
Lovely room and friendly staff. Will definitely stay there again.
Very poor WiFi for a hotel of this standard
Wi fi was very poor especially in room. They eventually gave us a router for room.Website says it has 4 restaurants but this is an overstatement.Pool area is lovely and staff are helpful and very pleasant. Its situated on a busy junction so pedestrian access is difficult as there are no traffic lights or pedestrian crossings nearby(not the hotels fault and local motorists are courteous
Weekend in Oman
Booked a Business Class Room with access to the Business Lounge. Very disappointing. Was supposed to open at 6:30 a.m. I tried to get in to have my morning coffee, but there was no access. Finally opened at 9:00 a.m.
Well appointed hotel with great facilities
Great overnight stay
Great place to start a holiday in Oman
We flew in and had two nights here as our base for Muscat. The pool area is small but clean and plenty of sun loungers. It was lovely to get off the night flight, arrive and crash for the first afternoon in Oman. We knew that the pool was next to a main flyover and you could hear traffic noise but it was less obtrusive than I had thought it might be. The bar pool area was shady and good for an evening drink and had a pleasant atmosphere. Taxi's were readily available to drive to the main tourist sites. The food at the hotel was fine, expensive compared to eating over the road at the two restaurants nearby, just tricky crossing the highway to get to them. The staff were all really charming and helpful.
Nice hotel
Nice well run hotel but you need a car or taxi to get around. Pool area is nice. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Worst front office staff.,
Very disappointed with the front office staff who didn't allow me to check in stating that all rooms are booked and offer immediate room on higher price.
Fabulous staff. Extremely helpful
Reception staff sorted out taxis and payment when I had no cash.
Excellent hotel in Muscat
Really enjoyed the stay. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. The facilities were good and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
Great hotel
Really helpful reception staff, the waiters / managers in Olivos went above and beyond to look after us (really our daughter!). Pool area was immaculate. Thank you so much for making our holiday so special.
Nice hotel but problematic check in
On Expedia we'd booked and paid for a room for three adults. When we got to the hotel they informed us we'd have to pay extra for a third bed, which had not been clear at the time of booking. When we questioned what we'd therefore paid for re a room for three people, they just kept repeating that the extra bed was chargeable, until it became objectively laughable that they were expecting three adults to sleep in two twin beds, at which point they gave in. A shame because it was a stressful start to our stay.
Great stay!
Staff was amazing, would recommend people to stay here!
Excellent!
Fantastic!
First Choice in Muscat
Great hotel with all the perks you would expect. Restaurants were perfect and the pool was great. Recommend contacting the hotel before hand to arrange transportation. They have better rates than the airport taxis. Staff was very attentive and helpful.
My husband and I came from England and my son,his wife and their 7 year old son joined us from Kuwait. I chose the hotel because I liked the look of the swimming pool. I was not disappointed and the rest of the hotel was lovely too, especially breakfast
Highly Recommend.
Excellent Hotel. Stayed on the Business floor and it was well worth it. Lovely buffet breakfast with many choices and a very good Happy Hour. Comfortable, clean rooms. Great staff. Super Friendly. Lovely pool area.
Great Italian restaurant!! Good value stay
Good hotel with good value.
centrally located hotel in muscat
Amazing breakfast! Awesome lazy lizard staff! Great outdoor pool! Great travel section!
Close to servixes
Nice hotel situated in an area with a wide variety of shops and services. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Disappointed by facilities
Gym had no air conditioning so too hot and uncomfortable. Only coffee making facility was a kettle and 2 sachets of powdered coffee - I had to ask for more. Building works and noisy jack hammer going until about 1 am, so not peaceful at all. Only positive was good food and friendly staff.
I like it
Great and good , friendly staff Clean, quiet Thanks
Nice Pool area
The staff are all absolutely wonderful. All smiles, very accommodating and eager to please. The property is very relaxing and nice to just hang around the pool. Upgrade to the business class floor, it's a worthwhile investment! The health club is also very well equipped.
Overall the stay was pleasant. The WIFI in the rooms was dismal to be honet, it may have been an iseeue with the local access points on each floor or maybe just where I was. In general I'd stay there anyway, an overall good hotel.
Brilliant hotel close to the city centre
This is a great hotel with lovely staff. I could not fault any of the staff, they were polite and always on board to help. In particular Singh, Akshay and Haitham were really helpful. Singh went out of his way to help me find some reasonably priced excursions and although I had already made plans at the time I was very greatful for this. The hotel itself was clean and had a lovely pool and good food. The scenery was amazing, it looked over a mosque and some mountains. It is stocked with a kettle, iron and fridge. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The location is good for the souk and mosques but not for the beach. Qurum beach is good and only a 10 minute taxi but it's not a tourist style beach more a coastal walk. The beaches are a bit of a drive from this hotel. It's also near the grand mall and the avenues mall. If you don't want to eat at the hotel there are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity, but be careful crossing the road. It's a death trap! They have a gym (not that i used it) which was well stocked with decent equipment.
If anyone is thinking about upgrading to club level it is cheaper to do so with Expedia than doing it at the hotel
Nice hotel close to the city. The room was small.
The room was a little bit small. But the hotel and the people in general were very good. They were very helpful.
Great stay.
We arrived early at the hotel however didn't have to wait until official check in time, just long enough for the room to be made ready. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and ready to offer ideas on where to visit or eat. We had a car and the location was central enough to go in any direction without too much travelling but if you didn't drive there were always taxis ready outside. There was a great pool area which was ideal for relaxing. All in all just perfect.
ideal for business
amzing hotel, warm stuff
Muscat exploring!
We enjoyed a day in Muscat and another in Nizwa! Wonderful place, friendly people and Great place to stay! You can get a taxi driver to take you around for 5 riyals so I would advise not booking through the hotel which would have charged 3 times what we paid!
Look Around Muscat
Hotel is comfortable, pool area is nice, well placed in greater Muscat. All the staff we saw were polite, friendly and helpful. We arrived on an overnight flight getting to the hotel around 8.30 am and were expecting to have to wait until check in time at 2.00 pm to get a room. The young lady on reception said she would try to get a room ready before then and she had a room cleaned and serviced for us by 9.45 am which was great service. Location is ok as I think wherever you stay in Muscat you will need to get around to where you want to see by taxi and it is spread over a large area. The hotel seemed to serve a mainly business clientele.
Good hotel, excellent location in Muscat
We stayed here as a weekend getaway when my husband visited Muscat. It is not on the beach, but it has all of the other amenities, and at a fair price. There is a nice pool and patio with a tiki hut. There is an excellent dining room that serves a top breakfast buffet indoors or outdoors. We upgraded to business class for an additional 33 Ryials per night, and the buffet was included in our upgrade. With the upgrade we had unlimited drinks in the business lounge and free happy hour wine or beer from 6-8. The upgrade was a very good bargain for us, as a soda alone can be expensive at a resort. There was a lot of people staying there and it made for good fun to mix and mingle. It is also within walking distance to other restaurants and shops. There is also a very large gym with sauna on site. You can get other services such as facials and beauty treatments as well. The staff was more than accommodating to our every need. Anything we needed was readily available. As for the room, very clean and pleasing to the eye. The phone to the lobby didn't work and I felt like it should be removed if they are no longer using it. There was also a useless wall phone in the bathroom that kept falling off the hook. I would have been happier with a pillow top mattress and fluffier pillows, but I still slept fairly well. For a city location, I recommend this hotel. It's good fun, lots of people go there and you will have everything you need at a fair price.
Comfortable stay in the heart of Muscat
Stayed two nights in two different rooms. First room, first night had a couple of very minor issues with the bathroom so we were promptly upgraded to a business suite.
Average hotel, excellent staff
Hotel in average condition, room is not modern and very noisy. Hotel food is awful. But the pool area is nice. Staff is very helpful and warm.
Good hotel, but not a great location
This was the first hotel we stayed in when we arrived in Muscat. It is a lovely hotel, 4 star facilities and good sized rooms. It has a very nice pool and a couple of restaurants. The breakfast buffet is exceptional, as is the food in general, but it is a bit pricey. We enjoyed our stay here, the staff are very friendly, but we found it was just a bit hard to get anywhere unless you caught a taxi. We like to walk to explore and found the traffic in this area difficult to negotiate and the beach too far to walk to.

Disappointed Stay
At the check-in there was a delay due to offered a double bed room. My booking for a Twin beds. The overall stay was good, but music was heard every night from a bar or disco until late at night. The room was missing towel and took me several calls but not delivered. The breakfast was good of variety of food for different taste. Overall not to the standard for Radisson chain of hotels which I stayed before.
