Good hotel for a quick stop

The apartment we stayed in was great. It was much more spacious than I expected and had everything we needed. We loved having the washer/dryer in unit to catch up on laundry during our trip around the south island. My wife was bothered by the incense or scented oil smell they used here. It was on the excessive side. The parking was also not ideal. They do have 'on-site' parking near the hotel entrance but it's a very small lot. We were given a pass but left to go explore some areas and came back to a full parking lot. We had to park our car on the street overnight and I had to get up and move the car into the parking lot in the morning to avoid paying for a couple of hours of parking on the street after 8 AM. They really could use a bigger lot or better parking options.

Great water pressure in 107. Some maintenance could be done in the bathroom just to tidy it up.

Have stayed in better Quest accommodation. Staff were friendly and helpful. Make sure you book a room with laundry facilities if needed You cannot access washing facilities outside of reception hours. Also room info out of date from 2022. Reception tried to charge twice price for washing and drying but did only charge lower amount once I pointed out the room booklet stated a different amount

A good property centrally located in Invercargill city. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and spacious. Modern and well maintained.

Compared to the other quest properties we have stayed in, this one, and an older building, was just average. There was no cooktop and no washer dryer, things which were present in the others we stayed in. The area around the hotel is somewhat nondescript, although it is not a long walk to restaurants and markets are a short drive. Overall, this facility was OK for one night when passing through but otherwise unremarkable.

Newly refurbished old building in heart of Invercargill. Stylish room which was spacious and light filled and well appointed. Staff forgot to replenish continental breakfast supplies on 2nd day but all round a great experience. No cafe or restaurant on site but good options close by.

We had a really lovely stay and experience at Quest Invercagill. The staff were delightful and the hotel is very well located. The building appears a little “tired” but it proved very comfortable and a little nostalgic. My partner and I will be staying there again.

The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable but you could hear the neighbouring units water going down the drain every time they used it .

Good checkin. Phone in room has wrong information on it. Heat pump not connected. Dirty hand prints on ceiling in bathroom. Possibly heat pump installers. Shower curtain and bathtub had red discolouring a pre curser to mould. One chair had crumbs and gum wrapper behind chair cushion. I have stayed before in a 1 bedroom apartment and could not fault it. I will come again as it is a great location.

The room was large with separate living area and bedroom. The property was easy to access and located close to shops, cafes, etc. The Reception staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Parking was limited, but we always managed to find a space.

Very spacious room presented very nicely. I was in top floor and as my room had been recently insulated it was warm and cosy so really appreciate the great work the new owner is doing to insulate the top rooms. Nice staff. Only issue is the parking which can be tricky - think that the carparks should be numbered and allocated to guests who can pay extra for a carpark - there were not many parks and alot appeared to have non guest cars taking up the spaces which is really annoying especially on cold wet Invercargil days.I would be happy to pay extra for a guaranteed car park space.

The hotel was central and easy to get around from.We walked to dining out at night which was great. The staff were very friendly and answered our questions .

Quite possibly the best Quest Hotel that we have ever stayed at. The staff on reception really made a very positive first impression which was backed up well by the housekeeping at this hotel.

Easy checkin and a good location

Very clean and very large rooms. Reasonably quiet room facing the street. The aircon was on upon arrival and was a nice treat to the 33deg outside, made sleeping very comfortable.

Clean, Comfortable and Convenient

Have stayed at the Quest at various cities in Australia and New Zealand and have never had a complaint. Staff at the Quest Invercargill were friendly and helpful, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. The only issue is that there is renovation presently in progress adjacent to the Quest (in the same block) and this can at times be noisy during the day ---- cannot fault the Quest or the staff for this, but it's something to bear in mind, and if you are looking to rest / sleep during the day, check with the staff if you can get a room away from the renovation area.

Great property with lovely facilities and absolutely spotless.

Invercargill is a bustling city with all the positives and negatives that come with it. The traffic was always making noise. Parking was okay, but again not the best. The elevator, nicknamed "Buddy," seemed to be "on it's last legs." We used the stairs as much as we could. However, the room itself was clean and comfortable though smaller than many others we booked in NZ.

We had a lovely stay thanks and the staff were all friendly and obliging. We stayed last year and had a much larger apartment. I didn't realise that this time they would be smaller but it was fine. Only comment would be ac cess to the wardrobe was limited and we had to put our bags in the corners. All good though. Cheers

Nice place to stay in downtown. Checking in afterhours, and especially since I had to make a rapid reservation was a bit clunky.

Amazing apartment - very clean - although on Main Street - room felt quiet / need to close curtains otherwise street lights will annoy you. Room was not tended to thru-out our 4 day visit - also had to go downstairs to ask for top up in milk and tea

Lovely hotel with good facilities.

Very enjoyable stay in beautifully restored building. The apartment was unexpectedly large and every amenity had been thought of with unexpected extras. Room servicing was very efficient and thorough. The one little problem was the locals doing laps in the Main Street which was very noisy until late on Saturday night. Apparently it is a regular event and the hotel has double glazing and provides ear plugs to help negate the problem. Only a minor problem which the hotel acknowledges and apologises for.

This is a very comfortable place to stay right in the CBD. and it is very clean and friendly staff. Very handy to all shops plus Queens Park and local attractions. Handy to the bus stop just a minute walk.

Exactly how the photos are. Good quality room. Lovely fitout. Very modern. Friendly receptionist. Great location next to Starbucks, Hell Pizza, and Speights Ale house. And a very fair price. Definitely coming back here to stay

Great hotel with good amenties. Travellers staying on Friday and Saturday nights can expect a rough night with boy racers cruising with their loud cars until wee hours of the morning.

We were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment. It was very clean, bright and spacious. We enjoyed our stay.

Invercargill Stay

Our stay at the Quest was comfortable. The only downside was that the staff missed servicing our room on the first full day of our stay. The staff were very helpful in getting that rectified. Overall we enjoyed staying at the Quest. It is so conveniently located to the shops.

Great location, well-appointed room

We were very happy with our recent two-night stay at Quest. Our room was quiet, clean and very comfortable and the free off-street parking was easy to access. In addition, every Quest staff member we spoke to was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Gold Members Don’t Get the Upgrades 😞

Booked this hotel due to the complimentary breakfast for Gold members however it turned out to be only for 1 person. The room upgrade was non existent as well despite it not being busy. Aside from that good location and average hotel.

The property is well positioned near to the centre of Invercargill. The rooms re comfortable and reasonably sized. Very friendly and helpful staff.

A hidden gem in the centre of town. The room was modern, clean, tidy and it felt really good. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Very well equipped rooms, comfortable bed, nice decor. Carpets a little tired. And watch out for Friday or Saturday night if your in the road side room... loud cars with exhausts and racing till late. Maybe that’s why they had complementary ear buds in the bedside tables!

A really, excellent place to stay. Large, cozy, well equipped apartment and very friendly staff led by Mark. Perfectly located in the centre of town in the historic old post office. Cannot fault our stay. The boy racers were active in the evening on the streets nearby at times but this wasn't a problem for us. Will definitely return to the Quest apartment thank you.

Comfortable hotel in coverted Post Office. Style and lift of old type. Staff very helpful and friendly. Free parking variable and limited. Well located in town for access to local restaurants.

Central location - easy access; car parking available; all you want when away from home

Spacious room with hand kitchenette for breakfast, good water pressure, wash and dryer machines in room. linen and toweling excellent quality. The only down side to this hotel is that because its a converted building they did not double glaze windows, friday and saturday nights can be noisey with hoon car traffic, during the week currently with construction work across the street which starts at 6.00am.

Location is good, and accessible to the premises I was visiting. A must return.

Location is right in the center of town which was very well located for walking access to just about anything one wanted to arrange or explore in Invercargill. The hotel itself was an older building, but renovated to excellent standards. Traffic was a bit noisy at night, but overall a very nice place to stay.

Excellent choice in Invercargill

We were very pleased with this hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean and great service from the reception. We could leave our suitcases with them while we were away for a hiking trip for couple of days. When we came back our suitcases were ready for us in the room. The hotel also has either laundry services in the room or near the reception. The location is very central as well.

Very nice accommodation that was handy to the Invercargill downtown with only the Transport Museum requiring a drive. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by and shops, banks and cafes a short walk.
