Upon arriving, we found that our first room did not lock properly. The door was opened as we arrived as well. We had difficulty with the key, and even the night manager struggled to operate it. He suggested we leave our belongings in the lobby if we wanted to go out, which immediately made us feel unsafe. We expressed our concerns to him and requested to cancel, but he informed us that he could not assist and that we would need to contact Expedia directly. After reaching out to Expedia, we were moved to another room. Unfortunately, the refrigerator and the TV in the second room were both not working. The door lock was also not working properly. We attempted to cancel again, but had difficulty getting in touch with the main manager. We are still waiting for approval on our cancellation. Our neighbors next to us also struggled with their key and were told that several people were struggling with the key.

The shower had ZERO slip protection. It was perilous every second. A deserved lawsuit waiting to happen. How can guests be considered a priority when a simple safety fix is so obvious and soooo ignored??? The room was great, breakfast was better than most "budget" motels. It would cost next to nothing to rectify the shower danger that I assume exists in every room.

Didnt like that there was no microwave in my room. Breakfast was the worst..more like snacks there wasnt anything hot served. Handicapped room was way at the back of the property...and had to go upstairs to second level for ice.
The breakfast was poor. Very bad. You had to arrive at 6:00 am because otherwise there was nothing. The bathroom sink was broken, hair dryer with a burnt plug. It's a big bummer.

Horrible stay and needs to be assisted
The stay was rough, the customer service was horrible and did not care for the simple needs. Came into a room with stained sheets and floors, missing do not disturb sign and I had to fix the plug on the tub along with carpet patches on the side of the washing area falling off. Along with the towel hook being on the ground upon arriving. The service clerk refused to assist with holding our bags temporarily and the breakfast was non existent. Clearly they do not stand for their key goals as a hotel as shown in the photo I provided. It hurts spending money on a place that just did not care about simple needs or cares for their visitors.
Stained furniture in the room, cigarette burns on the bed, defective or non functional lighting, bathroom ceiling leaked, water was all over the toilet and floor, hair dryer was broken, as was microwave door handle. Minifridge was frozen over. Staff indifferent to room issues and unresponsive/unwilling to offer solutions. Will never stay here again and recommend anyone else considering think twice. Let my mistake prevent you from making the same one.
1 light and 1 outlet worked in our room, the ac was off when we arrived making the room over 80, the toliet was not even mounted to the floor and there were bugs in the bath tub.
Door was not secured right it had play when locked top lock handle was broken looks like door was kicked open also restroom door didn’t closed stays open or have to force shut which still won’t closed all the way
Find another place to stay
Rooms are outdated. The gap in the door are too wide. The noise was too loud. Pool was nasty green. Doors seemed to be fixed way to many times than normal. Overall a outdated property with excessive noise. We would not stay here ever again.
-Check in process took a long time. The system was down so i stood there for at least 20 min. -the room was out dated. Didnt seem very clean with stains on carpet. Saw a roach in bathroom. And there was no rubber under the entry door. Was a good inch gap. Thankfully I had something in my trunk to close the gap.
We were able to do an early check-in since we had arrived early. The attendant was super nice about it and allowed us to come in and leave our things .
Poor experience. Did not feel safe and ended up not staying and finished our drive home. I could add a lot of details, but they don’t add to my recommendation of not recommending this hotel.
Amazing
Well let’s start from the beginning, I had called earlier in the day to see about possibly getting an early check in, was flat out told NO. I was surprised because most places offer that at a certain price, honestly just wanted to rest after driving to San Antonio. I arrived at the set checkin time and stated the name of the reservation and presented my identification. Was asked my form of payment of cash or card, I said card and was told to use the card reader and inserted my card. It was charged right away. Then was told (afterwards) if I going to use the same card for a $50 deposit. I was surprised because that’s something one is informed before having the reservation charged. I was upset because I was not informed beforehand because then they said it would “go back” to my card in 5-7 business days. I said well what if I had wanted to pay cash? the person at the front desk said “on you would get it when you would check out.” I also said that wasn’t priced at the time of when I made the reservation I had only agreed to the price I had made initially. The front desk manager or whatever he was kept trying to interrupt me while I was speaking to him. It got to the point I had to tell him to stop cutting me off when I was speaking about my concerns. Sad part was that he was training someone at the same time and speaking a foreign language that I didn’t understand so who knows what he was telling his staff. At checkout noticed a baby crib being setup behind counter.
This is close to the Frost center but not within walking distance. Our first room the toilet would not flush because the flapper was broken and unrepairable. we had to move to another room that the entry door stuck and had to be jimmied with to get it to open. Not super fun.
Try harder Quality
This was the worst hotel I have ever been to. We got are first room and the door had been kicked and the door would not lock they switched are room and that door was also kicked in at one point. The room was dirty with dry blood in the safe and on the hair drier. The bathroom doors looked they were also kicked at one point and would not latch. The staff lack customer service skills refused to amends for anything saying it was not thier problem. For a veteran and someone who works in customer servise was the worst hotel experience in my life.
This place is ok if you really need a place to sleep but i wouldn't ring my woman here. Also you may want to carry your firearm. This place is not worth the price.
Clean and comfortable
The room was clean and bed comfortable. The breakfast was less than most hotels of this caliber. Close to Frost Bank Event Center and 10 minutes to downtown and the Riverwalk. Pool is in the parking lot and is very small.

The staff was very friendly
Check in was easy, people were friendly but nothing worked (ice machine, vending machine). Area was okay definitely suited our stay for convenience. Swimming pool was fun, great people but pool towels would be nice. Rooms definitely need an update in regards to AC . Overall area was not noisy but would have been nice to have ice for our drinks and not over pay for a soda can. Took hours to cool our room down.

Bathroom door didn’t lock. Main door security lock was missing. Ice machine didn’t work. Ran out of eggs and coffee. They weren’t refilled while we were at breakfast. The table was sticky both mornings, indicating it hadn’t been cleaned. Lights in the main room didn’t work. Only the bathroom area. The bed was comfortable, and the room seemed clean. The shower was hot, and decent, if one isn’t too tall.
Enjoyed the easy access from freeway. Cost appreciated
Above the shower part of the ceiling paint was hanging off, the rooms are very worn and need to be renovated bad, the room was very musty. Made an uncomfortable stay. Upon check out I asked if I could grab a yogurt for the road and was told no because it was after 9am. It was 11.. other hotels i've stayed at wouldn't have mind for grabbing a snack to go. Isn't that we pay the dam hotel for if? Anyway. Won't ever stay here again.

I need to stop staying at Quality Inn's. The only benefit was the location as it was very convenient to Frost Bank Center. Otherwise I would've not stayed, cancelled my reservation on the spot and found somewhere else to stay.

Affordable but lacking
It was an ok place to stay, super affordable and great convenient location. I was really disappointed in the breakfast, pancake machine wasn’t working, very little food available and apparently they do not replenish anything that runs out during the breakfast time. It’s more upsetting because they use that as an advertisement point.

Bad place to sleep
It was not so good. I found two bugs, and they refused to fill up the hot food breakfast even when there was an hour left before close time. Workers there have an attitude and don't care about any of your complaints. They refused to refund it.

Room stinks. They unplugged the AC cable and had to connect the cable to start the AC on a super sunny day during check in. Breakfast time is 6:30-9:30 but most of the items are over around 8:30 AM. Property is very old as feels like you are living in 1970s. Bathroom shower nub doesn’t work. Main door locking nub doesn’t work either. Such poor experience.

Beware of a an exrtra $100 deposit fee upon arriving to check in. I wish this was mentioned before hand prior to booking through expedia. The room was not clean, the room's door took forever to accept the room key. The door itself looked warped and damaged. Some the light switches did not work. It basically was a motel stay. I will never book there again.
Walked into the lobby it was like walking into the 1970s. Manager tried 5-6 times to activate my key in a machine that he clearly knew had issues. Went around to back to get in and there was a stray cat waiting outside our door, and some shady characters hanging around the parking lot. Key didn’t work, went back around, manager “fixed” it. Still didn’t work. Third time he came around to open door with his key. We had a concert at Frost Bank Center and I immediately knew it would be unsafe being stuck outside this room. When we got it room was hot and had a bad smell. Yellow stains on bathroom ceiling. Pillows on bed (2) were square (the tiny ones). When I said I couldn’t justify keeping my son here for two nights he huffed and refused to cancel the reservation, said I had to do it through Expedia. This place is not safe, not walkable and dirty. After we switched hotels, local Uber drivers all said the hotel was a known drug/prostitution den. SHOCKED Quality Inn would allow its name on this, and that Expedia listed it.
Everything was fine and I had no complaints
Our room cards constantly had to be fixed but the staff worked with us very well. Decent spot if you have an event at the Frost Bank Center.
Anyone reading this review, I strongly advise you to not stay in this UNPROFESSIONAL HOTEL WITH MOLD, AND PEST WHOM MANGER/OWNER IS NEVER AVAILABLE. As soon as we arrived they asked for a $100 deposit, they put us in room 114, the restroom has MOLD ( this is very threading to humans health), water dripping from the ceiling. BREAKFAST IS VERY LIMITED, PEST IN BEDS AND AROUND THE ROOM AND TO MAKE OUR STAY EVEN WORSE THEIR DOOR DOSEN'T WORK. We stayed outside our room for 2 hours during the night time and morning time, yet they denied any discount or refund.

The hotel will take a $50 deposit cash or card and will check the room before you check out. All being well you will get your $50 back. Also take note this hotel doesn't do breakfast.

this place was the worst part of mine and my fiancés trip. To start off when we first examine our room there was throw up on the corner of one of the walls that was not cleaned up prior to us, found a bug on my bed, all furniture was powdered up with dirt. The biggest issue about it all is that we wanted to stay another night than what was planned originally and thought it would be the most convienent and easiest thing to just extend at the same place we were already at since we are not from SA and so we called from our room and they informed us it was done, the next day we proceed like normal and after a few errands we go back and the card to enter was deactivated. We then went to the front to see what was wrong they said the room was not bought for, I attempted to talk about the miscommunication since all my items were of course still there( since we were under the impression the transaction was good) and they forced us to pay 300 or no keys would be given ( for 2 nights it was less than 200) and keep in mind that we DID call and it was confirmed by the general manger over the phone. They took advantage of the situation. It’s located at a sketchy spot. NEVER EVER WILL I STAY IN ANY QUALITY IN.

I loved the service just one thing the complimentary Breakfast was not kept up we arrived to have our breakfast but there was not much of a choice, and they didn't refill the eggs and sausage trays so just ate toast and pancakes :(. But other than that, it was great I would recommend to friends
Never again even though it was close to Coliseum
I had 4 people to queen beds in our room. I asked for an additional towels set and the desk clerk originally told me no. So I asked 4 people in a room and 3 people have to share? My remote wasn’t working and again the desk clerk told me I had to walk up to the tv to function it. I began to walk away and he finally exchanged the tv remote. There was a hole in the restroom ceiling. The toilet almost overflowed. I started praying I made it through the night but I promised myself never again. It was noisy because it was near the freeway.
The main issue I have is the location and how unappealing the building looks with what’s around it. There is no Water vending machine and I think the carpets should be shampooed more
Better service at a soup kitchen
Young man at front desk and breakfast service was extremely rude. He threw my cards at me and wasn’t helpful in telling me where to park or the exact location of my room. Breakfast was missing items that he didn’t want to have to replace even though there was still a hour left on service time. The young lady at checkout was delightful and informative. She saved the review from being all negative.
The hotel is in south San Antonio and does not have a grand view. However the staff was friendly and checking in/out was effortless. The room was clean and comfortable. It was also very close to downtown and the Frost Center.
My room didn’t have a door safety latch plus there were a few holes in the bathroom door. The breakfast sucked! We got there right when breakfast began and the eggs were cold plus the sausage wasn’t cooked at all and cold. I had to pay $100 deposit when I got there after I already paid for the room in full months earlier.
My husband and i were comfortable, did notice the pool wasnt entirely clean but overrall we did like it.
There were stains on the carpet and curtains. Main mirror light didn't work. Bathroom door frame looked like it had been broken into. Otherwise, clean sheet and comfortable bed.
This property is OBVIOUSLY "dated", but at the same time, it appeared clean and served it's intended purpose. I didn't see or feel any "safety" concerns and the staff was nice. Parking was abundant and it was close to the highway and not too far from the airport. I gave it 3-stars, I have stayed at other similar hotels and they were an absolute wreck, this place only needs updating and they would be fine.

First, the clerk seemed like he didnt want to be there and was inconvenienced that we showed up. In the room there was a hole in the bathroom door like someone kicked it. The room door did not have any weather stripping, allowing a decent gap we could see the sidewalk through and perfectly hear every car and person that went by. The bathtub faucet dripped constantly, but closing the door dampened the sound enough to sleep. The bed was comfy and clean, though.
First room had not been cleaned. Second room was fairly dirty, freezer was totally full of ice.
Was told this was an excellent hotel to stay at and one of the safest by Expedia. My vehicle was stolen and property was very un clean.
Toilet is cracked and loose, clerk has no ideas on what restaurant are around here, remote control is broken, no rubber mat for bathtub it’s a death trap
The room was not ready for occupants. The room had a strong mildew stench when we first walked in. We did not have a working sink. We had to wash hands and brush our teeth using the tub. The AC cover fell off the AC unit in the middle of the night so we had to set it back on. Our night was a disaster.
We had a dirty towel bed was comfortable but when I told the guy at front he didn’t bother to look at me and all he said was sorry when I left my sweater in room and went back to get key they guy at desk same guy threw the key instead of handing to me it slid on counter so when I went back to give the key I threw it back at him
The room was good to stay for 2 or 3 days, the bad thing is that smells very damp, the staff members were very attentive and helpful, the service was excellent, and the parking lot is very spacious
The bathroom light wouldn’t stay on. The coffee maker didn’t work, and we even had them swap it out. Maybe they needed to be cleaned. The bedding had a cigarette burn on it, and the sheets were cheap. The microwave door was missing the handle so it couldn’t be used, and there is a charge if you take your breakfast to your room. The breakfast was ok. For the price, it was okay. There is a deposit due as well. I took pictures of all the issues because I didn’t want to be charged. All in all, it was okay. Also, I didn’t receive any of the choice points from this trip. That was disappointing.

Not what I was expecting
We found 3 ROACHES in the room and staff did nothing about it. Wanted our refund and staff did nothing about it. We didn’t even stay there one night. Terrible service/experience.
There was wads of long black hair in the "clean" towels, long black hairs in the shower. You could clearly see where someone had left urine on the seat of the toilet and it wasn't cleaned before we checked in. The towel rack wasn't even attached to the wall, definitely felt like a set up for a property damage charge. There were no rooms above us, yet we could hear people walking around "upstairs" which was a little unsettling. There were no wash cloths, the pillows were horrible, flat and small. It was right next door to a Starbucks, that is about all it had going for it.

Everything was great and clean.
Holes in the walls, which made me feel uncomfortable with personal safety and security as a woman traveling alone. Exterior door had light shining in all around which made for a loud stay. Could hear everything happening outside. The fan in the room did not work. Could not use it to drown out the noise.
#1 not a big deal but no towels in the room, just a major inconvenience. #2 the door did not seal all the way, went to flip the lock over the door to feel a little more safe, broke off.
Room was spacious but definitely not real clean. Pillows smelled, no wash cloths, carpet loose. Definitely needs some TLC
Horrible place to stay
This hotel wasn’t w very comfortable place to stay. Parking was very tight for a one ton truck. Nothing looked super clean. Front door on room wasn’t easy to open. Bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way. Last day of our stay at some point in the evening the water was off. We called the front desk and they said it would be back in 15 minutes. The water didn’t come back until maybe in the morning. We were unable to shower or use the restroom until the next morning. I would never go back to this hotel.
