Incredible: no hot water, noisy air conditioning (had to turn off at night)
Very pleasant experience, the people of the Pierre make up for the shortcomings.
Noise from party at night was terrible, could not sleep
Made feel safe, appreciated very nice customer service
it is so so,,beautiful beach,,
The staff was very helpful and professional The food was delicious The beach was convenient and clean
All is great
NADA Vey expensive $280 for a glass of cheap Chilian wine gimme a break
Food is bad and bathrooms very old, not working properly, I had to call maintenance several time to unclog my WC and shower… poor quality food not much alternative of choice
We have been to the Princess before so I did not know what to expect from Pierre. It was actually very nice! The hotel is old but well maintained. Our room was simple but clean. The bathroom is very small, however it was not an issue. Very easy to walk to the pool or the lobby. There’s a 220 pesos valet/resort fee. We had the breakfast buffet included in our package, it was worth it. The food was good and there a lot of option. The access to the beach is very easy. Drinks and beers are expensive at the hotel, better go on the beach, it’s 1/3 of the price of the hotel. We liked that we can also go to the Princess. Their pool as a water slide, rocks and cenote. There’s more ambiance, more people and music. It’s about 10 minutes walk from the Hotel Pierre by the beach. W had a very good time at both places.
Place needs major updates. Pool was dirty.
There was and extra charge of 220.00 pesos ? Why?
I liked the dining service. Great options and great taste. The check in service was not great. They tried to give us another room instead of the one we reserved.
This is a good place, particularly if you have kids. There are a few restaurants with good food. The inside store is nice and has most of the things you might need. The hotel is a little bit dated and you can tell but it is ok. I had a small refrigerator in my room that did not really work well. If you decide to go there, beware that the food is good but it is also expensive. There are no restaurants around, so you are pretty much stuck with the restaurants in the resort. Just make sure you budget for that. Staff is super nice, they are all very helpful and are willing to accommodate you as much as possible. This place is quieter than the Princess. There are free shuttles that can take you from the Pierre to the Princess 24 hours. The shuttle is at the lobby and you just ask them to take you. Overall it was a great stay and I recommend it.
We enjoyed our stay at Pierre Mundo Imperial. The room was great. We were looking for a place to relax, walk the beach, and play. In that it was a success! My only criticism is the the WiFi was never very good in our. room. Otherwise, our stay was very nice and I would recommend this hotel to others.
Thumbs up!
Everyone was very helpful and nice. We really enjoyed our stay without any challenges.
its a nice place, small but its ok
I will not return, dirty bathroom, abandoned hotel and rooms, zero maintenance, very high rates, do not correspond to what they offer, I would never return!
It’s a nice option if you’re going to Acapulco but the rooms are dated. The air-conditioning didnt work then suddenly it did, and water leaking out of the ac flooded the room. The sink was blocked, the cable tv connection had problems too. The breakfast was great, checkin/out good, service was outstanding. Nice pools and loungers, very clean too. Finally, with my orbitz reservation, I was supposed to receive $500mxn a day in food beverage credit. When I checked out, noone knew of the existence of this benefit.
We liked the property and the location, but definitely the hotel need a renewal now; noisy air conditioning, water pipes and clogged drain.
Quiet getaway
The resort is quiet and low-key, which is why we keep going back. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Good hotel. I recommend it.
It’s a oldest property it’s necessary the renovation very quickly
The location right on the ocean and the natural beauty around the property is lovely. The bungalow style layout of the hotel provides a low key, relaxing place to stay. Unfortunately, the years have taken their toll on the hotel itself and little, if anything, has been done to renovate and maintain what was once a very nice hotel. The rooms are old and rundown and lack small things like a clock radio, soft towels and enough plugs to accommodate all of the modern tech that requires charging. The pool needs repairs and the pool furniture is broken down.
I liked its views and how close it was to the beach. Several of the amenities were closed and had to shuttle to sister property Princess which was very nice. I liked the very small crowds at Pierre. I felt very safe. If I knew more spanish the wait staff may have been more attentive. Everyone tried to be very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable but could use a fresh paint job. Pool was very nice with fanastic ocean view. Taxi was readily available with friendly drivers.
Playa casi privada
Very clean maintained property with numerous swimming pools. Staff was very friendly. Food was excellent. Rooms were a bit outdated. Had a hard time adjusting AC in the rooms. It was either on or off. No temperature controls. It was noisy. People closing/slamming their room doors echoed through the concrete hallways. You coupd hear everything going on in adjacent rooms. We could only go to sleep once the neighbors decided to quit laughing/talking. The food prices at Pierre bar were good but the only thing open for breakfast was the buffett which was way overpriced.
Beautiful Pool Areas!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The property grounds and pool areas are beautiful! It is one of the iconic hotels in Acapulco. While the Princess is still the Wow! hotel, given our age bracket (over fifty), we prefer the Pierre Marquez. One suggestion, however, please replace the umbrellas in the pool areas.... they´re falling apart.
Pierre continues to be a good option in Diamante if you prefer a hotel vs apartment. Staff is well trained, amicable and looking forward to serving you well. Many of them have been around since the Fairmont era: like Bruno & Adan from the Pool area.
My bathroom towels were dirty
Great location and classic architecture. Very bad conditions of the furniture and decorations. It is old and not nice.
Great location but OLD and below average service
Sorry to say but while the location is good, the building and rooms where we stayed were OLD and needed some serious renovation. I mean for $450 per night is WAY above what it should cost! While I understand the time of the year, being between Xmas and New Year's, justifies an increase it by no means can justify this kind of pricing. Once again, floors, balcony bathroom...All look like they were built in 1970 and never got upgraded. Now for the service, everybody is smily. The buffet was rather good. However, several mediocre experiences in services make it look below average. For instance it took us 1h and 15 min to do the check-in at the reception. We had to call twice and go a 3rd time to the reception to get info about some external event we wanted to go to(The Cliff Divers -La quebrada). We reserved and paid for Tennis courts for 7am the following day only to see that the courts were locked until 7:20 and only
The pool areas of the resort were fantastic. Lots of options, well maintained. Landscaping was average, kind of dry rather than lush. Resort is a bit older and rooms reflected that. Service was average. We had small issues that took a long time to remedy. Food was average too. Nothing horrible. Nothing remarkable. It was an average priced resort and they delivered on that. Overall value was pretty much what we expected
I'd like to start by saying that this is a beautiful property, in El Revolcadero Beach in Rivera Diamante. The beach is amazing, you can walk for hours enjoying the sunniest and warm weather of December in Acapulco. I jump into how disappointing the food is all around, except for the breakfast buffet which is not bad, and the view of the ocean, while you eat, is incredible. I was there from the 20th-24th of December 2021. I had to return a dish at dinner since it was unacceptable, it was raw; I tried talking to the chef but instead, I got the waitress captain. The menu around the Hotel is the same, it's boring, no healthy snacks or snacks at all. The service was good, it's just simply that the staff had no idea of times, menus, entertainment, and it was expensive, not fresh. If you decide to buy the all-inclusive package make sure you are aware that you can visit the other properties, We were never told there was this option. We only had breakfast included, and I a glad. The rooms are very clean, and we had a cleaning service every day. Our safety deposit box didn't work, we reported it. The pools 3 of them are really nice, could use more cleaning at night. Sunscreen was floating... I and my husband maybe will choose another hotel next time we visit. It's a shame since as I mentioned it's a beautiful Hotel. We never saw anyone who seemed like a manager on site, I would have approached him or her and shared my experience directly with them.
Good hotel but make sure there are no parties
We had been going to this hotel for years and then during the pandemic went to Las Brisas. We decided to go back to the Pierre. We went in November and liked it despite slow service at the pool. This time in December, service at the pool was still very slow but we got really annoyed by the fact that there was a party just outside our room that lasted until almost midnight - late for early birds like us... What really annoyed me is that I saw the tables set up when we checked in into the room and was told not to worry as it was only a cocktail. The windows were vibrating from the loud music. To be fair they brought us earplugs when we asked for it but they did not work. We will go back to that hotel but will make sure that if there is a party we will stay on a different part of the hotel. This time we took the package with breakfast included and it was well worth it. What we like most about this hotel is that you are not on top of each other and you can always find sunbeds by the pool and the hotel id right on the beach and views from the sea view rooms are really lovely.
Price was little high!
The Pierre Mundo Imperial has great facilities for a vacation, including 3 pools at the hotel and another 5 at the next door, sister, resort, the Princess Mundo Imperial. The staff are super friendly and treat you like honored guests. We can't recommend the Pierre Mundo Imperial highly enough!
The hotel is great but needs to be remodeled
Location type of hotel low rise buildings
It was a nice and safe area
The staff were super friendly, helpful and attentive to every single detail. From the reception, to the restaurant and last but not least the rooftop. This is a very well managed hotel. All COVID-19 guidelines are followed by staff and ensure that guests do as well I felt safe at all times. Highly recommended, and will definitely stay there again
The staff is very friendly, the iguanas are amazing
The ocean is really close to the swimming pool. Great small intimate hotel on a huge lot. Never crowded.
Very beautiful
This hotel is beautiful. It is located where Revolcadero Beach starts so the view of the ocen shore is amazing. The architecture is beautiful and the rooms are decorated simply but with very good taste. Customer service is really good. We had the breakfast buffet and unfortuntely was not what we expected, based on a previous stay at the hotel. Due to the pandemic, fruit juices were already in cups and wrapped in plastic. The juices I had tasted bad, the coffee was not good and the variety of food was limited.
The service is very good, very kind staff, also good value for money
Nice, smaller hotel than the Princess counterpart. Excellent buffet, excellent pools. The rooms maybe need some renovation but nothing too noticeable.
a very old hotel needs a face lift
Is a very old old hotel and they need face lift urgent
Please i need my invoice, how can i get it? it was really difficult for me to have comunication with the correct person for it.
Excellent Service, cleanness, not to much crowd! Perfect hotel for an escape! Excellent beach facilities, and services! Definitively is a big advantage to be part of mundo imperial group!
Great stay
Great stay with beautiful views and lots of hot water and cold ac.
I loved the view, the atmosphere, the pools, the live singer with a beautiful voice one evening, not too loud or disturbing to other guests. The staff was top notch, the only real issue was the quality of food at the bar. Overpriced (normal in hotels, so that is not my complaint), but so boring and lacking taste or simply not edible (raw, possibly old, smelly tuna on a tostada that I sent back. Otherwise, we had a wonderful relaxing time.
Totally average, a bit expensive.
A lot of details show that the place needs some love. Worn out furniture, broken AC drainage (which spilled all over the floor), the cover of the toilet flew off when I opened it... Reception and housekeeping were wonderful and very keen to help with our troubles. When eating in the restaurants however, it took FOREVER to get people to wait for our table. Food was completely 'meh'. If they got more waiters and trained them to always be looking out for all tables and areas (pool, beach), the experience would have been much better. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad place, but for 150 USD a night, I expected much better. For 150 I expect clean and new accommodations and much better service. And as the weekend drew closer, people paid over 200 for a room, if that had happened to me, I would have been really mad.
Pierre is always an excellent option in Acapulco for families and those who enjoy a calm and not too crowded environment. Please note though that the fees for any extras stated by the hotel in this site may differ at the lobby. For example: In the fine print at Expedia it states that the hotel considers adult 17 and above; however on site the rule is 12+. Similarly some other fees may vary as much as 3X on site.
The should be considered with guests who fly more than 8 hrs and the staff made wait 6hr to give me my room
Why bother?
They put us in another room, we pay for ocean and gave us garden. We got it changed to what it was of course, but the movement isn't what anyone would expect for what you're paying, and the time, and the need for an explanation... For a few dollars to sell that room to anyone, doesn't seem like a serious hotel. Person in charge must reinforce confidence in paying customers.
Loved the uniqueness of the smaller size of this property and the personalized service.
Everything was perfect. Maybe the tv should have more channels.
What needs attention is the Pierres Bar area. Very sad looking establishment, empty waste of space, very unatractive, A/C wasnt even working last weekend
The property has a great location, close to La Isla mall where you can find great restaurants and stores. We had a great time with my daughter enjoying the swimming pools and some time in the beach. Great pictures and memories.
Awesome trip with family & friends! Great service from all the staff. It would be great if they update the rooms.
Great hotel
Great experiences
Not a great service in the past this hotel use to be too much better, too crowded
Very nice property with excellent staff that is more than willing to provide any services you might want. Hector Anica, Chief Concierge, was always ensuring we had everything we needed and helped set up special items for my wife's birthday. Muchas Gracious.
Rooms look dated, old furniture and leaky toilet in one room, but beds are more comfortable than other places and WiFi is strong in the rooms. Pools are nice as is the beach access. Menu was nice but the food was just okay at best, expected better for those prices. Staff was excellent. Everyone was very polite and management responded very proactively to issue with room service.
