We enjoyed our stay! Great place - wish it had an elevator Clean room - good service by staff.
Wonderful staff!
Rooms do not have a bathroom inside, it’s a share bathroom/ shower with others on the floor. I was caught off guard re: sharing bathroom. Perhaps I should read more carefully next time.
Good people
Enjoyed my time here and the people at the front desk are beyond friendly and helpful
Castle
Very nice modern and clean room. Very kind and helpful staff
Easy to get there by foot or bus.Easy to get city bus. Extremely helpful front desk. Great fruhstuck!
Good staff. Cleanliness. Self serve tea and coffee and microwave.
We stayed 2 nights here while visiting Salzburg. It was a nice stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to English. We even lost one the keys for our rooms and they did not charge for it. Exceptional service. The only complaint was the shower in the room. It wasn’t the shower itself. The heat and pressure were fantastic. It was the fact that the doors to the shower leaked water out into the room. But I would definitely recommend it as a place to lay low near Salzburg.
The property is in a quiet location, but walkable distance to the main parts of town and is also beside a bus stop. It is very clean, the staff are very helpful, and our room also had an amazing Mountain View!
Not the cleanest property. But good location with a funky layout
Good value for money. A short walk from the city centre of Salzburg. Would book again when visiting the city.
Spacious room for three of us, we had everything needed, very friendly staff - helped us with transport tickets and Salzburg card, walking distance from the station and a bus stop outside, 10 min to old town. Everything was great. Thank you
Cute property. I’m not a fan of shared bathrooms and showers, but I knew what I was getting when I booked. They were clean, very modern and convenient. The location was great as well. Everything was walkable, and there was a bus practically right across the street. The street was busy a little noisy, though.
Excellent location and friendly staff!
Fantastic Stay
We loved our stay here. It was clean and functional and the hostess at check in was super helpful. Would stay here again in Salzburg. Highly recommend.
Really great stay here. It was very clean and comfortable.
The staff was so sweet and answered all questions we had and gave us advice on things to see. We enjoyed the daily breakfast for 10 Euros. I also loved the chance to enjoy a cup of coffee during the day. Our room had its own sink and shower and we shared a toilet down the hall. We had no issues with this. As a suggestion, our shower in the room had no light, so it was a bit dark. I understand due to infrastructure issues, a light maybe can't be installed, but perhaps a battery operated one could work? It didn't deture us, it's just a suggestion.
The staff were friendly and very helpful both at checkin and helping us in booking our tours around Salzburg. We were fortunate to have access to the delightful private garden and outside seating area which was a bonus during the summer heatwave whilst we were there. On our next visit to Salzburg we will be booking at Pension Elizabeth again.
The staff were extremely helpful and gave us ideas and tips of what to do around Salzburg. The room and facilities were very clean and comfortable. Was a wonderful place to stay.
We were graciously welcomed in English, given amazing restaurant recommendations, and patiently explained the Salzburg bus system. The location was walkable, but after days of sightseeing, it was a blessing to be so well connected to the bus lines. The room was clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again!
Excellent, five stars!
Everything was amazing! The best part was our host Frank. He was very kind, giving us a lot of information about the city. We would be back any time!
Great stay!
This was a great hotel! Check in was easy and they allowed to hold our luggage at check out. The water was hot, clean room, comfortable stay. Shared bathrooms were clean. A great place and close and fun walk to sites!
Nice stay! Affordable and clean.
Great place with nice staff
We stayed in one of the apartment units. Everything was very clean and there were no surprises. The breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. I think they have eight free parking spaces on site and within a block or so of the hotel. Between those and street parking, we didn’t have any issues. The location was very convenient. It’s very easy to get to by car, right next to a bus stop, and is a pleasant 15 minute walk to the old city.
I'll probably visit again
The room was very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location. However there was a lot of banging going on above my room. No idea if it was other guests or work going on.
Lisa from Seoul
Close to main train station. The bus stop of bus going to Belvedere is right across the street. The room is little small to keep the luggages though.
Friendly place
Friendly staff, clean place, but the room is a bit small for three adults. If there is a electric boiler in the room would be great.
Melina our desk clerk was extremely helpful. Nice breakfast. Great patio to sit outside in the evening to relax after a hard day of touring.
Reasonable economical accommodations
This pension provided the basics. Nothing fancy but a reasonable place to stay during peak tourist time when other places were too pricey.
Communication from hotel was fabulous! easily walkable from the train station. No elevator. We arrived after hours however, access to the apartment was easy!
Great position, walking distance to the station and to the Festung. Would have liked an en-suite bathroom rather than having to share the toilet. There is no exhaust in the room, which means the condensation from the shower can’t be removed effectively. The bed is positioned against a wall, which makes it hard for the second person to get in and out of bed. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall, a good place to stay.
fair stay
the room is quite small, got an upgrade in rooms and have a private bathroom. Toilets are generally clean. Reception is helpful. However the wifi connection is poor in the room even though we reconnect again. Also, there is no kitchen but only microwave here so better reconsider if you would like to prepare you meals. Location is 15min walk from the train station. But still a bit pricey for this quality of stay
don,t miss this wonderfull pension Elizabeth
toured Germany and Austria by train and booked hotels ranging from a palace in Klagenfurt to 4 star i Frankfurt , but the 1 star Pension Elizabeth was without doubt the best, only small down side was we shared a shower room with 4 other rooms, of which 3 were occupied by my family so no big deal .all staff were great , breakfast good and everywhere was spotless. will stay again 100% .
Quick check in, n friendly staff. The breakfast no varian menu, it just ok. The hotel is clean. Good location 10minutes walk from station. You just can feels like home, but you cannot expect quiteness here.
Our reservation was cancelled as our room was sold
Had a good experience staying here for our visit to Salzburg. Easy to walk to the center of the city and easily accessible any time of day.
I only chose this cause it’s the cheapest near Salzburg town that has free parking. Will never pick this if there are other options in the mid price range. While the staff are friendly and helpful, the location is far from the attractions (25 minutes walk into old town), with dusty bedroom floor and bedsheets don’t feel and look clean.
Very good service but need new towels
Get another if you can
Positives: Accommodated 4 guests. Nice quiet location, nice breakfast choices. Near the center of Salzburg. Negatives: Not enough parking spaces for guests. Unsafe surroundings, not well lit at night.
Good central accommodation
Accessible to CBD, clean, very good breakfast, homy environment.,good wifi service
Yes - great stay
Loved this place - simple, clean, great host and good value
Clean, convenient for train station
Clean and friendly, comfortable rooms. No staff presence at night means that when a disturbance happens as when we stayed there is no one to sort things out unless a guest calls the police. I'm sure this is very rare and was the result of one idiot, the staff were very apologetic in the morning but some other female guests said they were afraid.
Good place!
We arrived a bit late after they closed the reception, but we found out how to get in, so it was good!
Not bad
Not bad, You get what you paid for. Recommended for 1 night stay to catch the train for your next trip.
Pension Elizabeth
We found the pension easily. It is within easy walking distance to the main attractions. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. The staff was both friendly and helpful.
Ok hotel that could be better
It is a nice hotel, but it would need some improvments. We had the chmabee with a shower and the shower was really disgusting. They should completely remove it. Also, because we are close to a main street, there is a lot of noise at night. Walls are also very thin. The hotel is kind enough to give you free earplugs to help you sleep.
would not return
Despite their reply to my initial thoughts on checking in, my evaluation persists. Pension Elizabeth is a lesser quality hotel and is located away from Salzburg proper. Sounds from others in rooms, the hallways and the communal toilets were unwelcome and unexpected. There were no black out curtains, so sunrise at six lent to early starts or eyemasks. While the mattress was comfortable, the pillows were lumpy and square.
It was not a good experience
I wish I didn't book this hotel. For one, the lady who checked me in was cold. She was polite, but cold. The way she stated:"Check-out time is 11, the latest, please!" just made me feel so unwelcome. For two, in my room there was no Internet. I was put in a room that is in a small building away from the main building where I checked in. I spent over 20 minutes to try to connect to its WiFi with different devices, all failed. So I went back to the main building, that lady told me that she knew WiFi in my room was not working, but I could stay in the waiting area by the reception to use Internet. She didn't say anything to express any sorry about such an inconvenience. After coming back from dinner, the reception area was closed. I had to stay outside of that building to use Internet. Of course, it was very uncomfortable. Next day at check-out, it was a different lady working there. I told her it was a major bother not to have Internet in my own room. She said she would talk to the manager to give me some discount. Now a week past, I have not heard anything from them. My staying at this place was not a good experience. I certainly would not stay there again.
Comfortable Budget Hotel
The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but very clean. There are also bikes on the premises to rent for 20 euros a day. A nice perk. It is close to the train station too
Nice stay
Small room with comfy bed and great location. The breakfast is well with the price.
Nice affordable place to stay
Overall, we thought it was a nice affordable place to stay. The neighborhood itself is very boring, but there is a bus that comes regularly that takes you quickly into town. We purchased a Salzburg card that included public transportation, so we didn't have to pay every time. The bathrooms and showers are shared per floor, but it was rarely an issue. Most of the staff were friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable.
Only small inconvenience was wifi internet was very poor. Apart from that it was great and we thought that the breakfast, service, and room were all good and the beds comfortable.
Happy with our stay
Good accomodations
A nice Pension stay in a large bright apartment. 20 minute walk to the old town. Basic breakfast of nice bread basket, strong coffee, OJ, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt, meat and cheese.
Far from centre, bathroom shared per floor
Overall comfort was not good, but it was clean, and cheap. 20-25 minute walk from city centre. Only 1 male bathroom and 1 female bathroom per floor.
Great guesthouse with nice price
The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. I especially like the shower as it has strong current.
fantastic
great place. out of the way but easily walkable back into the centre. simple but great facilities and great staff. could not ask for more for the money that was paid
Good budget hotel.
The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great, staff were friendly and it's very close to the train station.
Family trip
We were on a family vacation with our three teens. We booked two rooms for two nights. We felt very comfortable at Pension Elisabeth. The rooms were clean and provided all we wanted. Good WiFi and close to grocery stores. Short walk to train station or to start of old city
Nice hotel, cheap- would stay again.
Cosy hotel about 10min walk to train station. A bit out of the way (from tourist spots and restaurants). Hotel issues receipt upon city tax payment (must insist for this). Allows early checkin (which is great). The rules book in room a bit scary to even read it. Hot water is available but no coffee/tea facility. Helpful staff. Hairdryer is available upon request.
Great value
Comfortable, clean pension, good bus transport to Salzburg central, friendly and helpful staff, generous breakfast.
Within 10 minute walk of the train station, and very close to bus stops, about a half an hour walk to old city/ city centre. There wasn't a bathroom in our room, but it was just across. Decent wifi, decent location. It was quite cheap, so over all got what we paid for.
Near the busy heart of Salzburg
Salzburg is a great place to visit and this medium priced pensione made it possible for us to visit.
Not a bad place!
Decent hotel with shower in room, WC in the hall though - we thought we had a private bathroom but we only got a private shower. Around a 25 minute walk into the town for sightseeing and food.
Perfect for a short stay, lovely staff
This hotel was perfect for our 2 night trip to Austria. The room was comfortable and the facilities were basic but clean. The staff were absolutely brilliant and so helpful With any problems or questions we had.
The breakfast was good and the staff was pleasant. The rooms were a bit small but had everything necessary.
3 Amigoes in Salzburg
Good accomodation, shared bathroom, no a/c, no fridge, breakfast included
Convenient location
20 mins walk into town and 15 mins walk to the train station. Directions given to the hotel and for late check in is excellent. Ok budget pension but we wouldn't stay again. I didn't like the share bathroom. We only booked because nothing else was around in our price range.
Clean and comfortable, not the best location
It was fairly far from Altstadt, but with the Salzburg card (Worth it in this city), it was not a problem. Good breakfast, and great location to get to and from the central station.
Great hotel :)
I stayed in a single room for 2 nights. It was about 15 minutes walk from the central station, because the hotel is located in a main road, it's sometimes quite noisy with the cars. But inside is okay. The staff is very friendly and the room is very comfortable as well. The room is cleaned and the bed is tidied up every day. They provide breakfast as well and it's quite nice as well with nicely arranged tables and enough bread and ham and cheese for you.
PESION ELISABETH -Everything provided bar a kettle
A basic hotel with clean comfortable rooms and buffet breakfast, it was very good good value. Everything there you needed except a kettle. continental hotels which attract UK guests should always be encouraged to provide an electric kettle.
Good for single stay
Stayed one night in Salzburg. It is a cheap choice as Salzburg is a very popular tourist city. Shared bathroom and wash room.Breakfast included.
Good budget room
Just a short walk from the railway station- brill. And a good location to explore the old town. Breakfast very good
Winter Wonderland!
Our stay was excellent value for money. The staff were attentive, kind and made us feel very welcome. We have recommended the hotel to our family and friends and would look forward to staying there again. The hotel was in an ideal location to explore both the city and the surrounding mountains.
I will stay there again.
I have a very good stay in Pension Elizabeth. Very clean and very safe location. It is very easy to find the hotel . It is about 8 minute walk from the main train station in Salzburg. If I will be back in Salzburg, I will stay there again.
First time in Salzburg
Clean shared WCs (bathrooms). Near public transport. Rooms comfortable. Front desk helpful
Great for the price.
The hotel room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. However, since it is located on a busy street, was very noisy. I also didn't know that there was a communal toilet and shower until I received the confirmation. But it wasn't too bad. The included breakfast wasn't bad. I'm used to the meats being included though (was extra for just sausage) and the coffee was delicious. All in all, great price for what you get.
Close to train station about 15 minute walk , buy salzburg card from hotel , talk bus to town easy close to supermarket .bus the front of hotel. Hotel Nice and clean . And if want big supermarket just walk to train station have everything there . one bus stop from hotel to town have a restaurant .
Simple and clean, good breakfast, good price.
At the time I stayed here, it was the best price on a private room in close-in Salzburg. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and pleasant. The bathroom is down the hall but this is easy to deal with (and seems to be common in hotels in Europe). Also, for many rooms a breakfast is included which was very nice.
Hotel is close to Hbf, its main selling point.
I was there in Oct 2013. The stay was good. Breakfast served was only an assortment of breads. Rest all was chargeable. Rooms were clean and the staff was also courteous. They helped us in locating the places of interest to visit in Salzburg. Wifi was available for free but the speed was not up to mark.
Great location
Good.
Salzburg on the cheap
Salzburg is an expensive location. If saving money is a priority and you don't mind sacrificing some amenities, Pension Elizabeth is a good choice. This place is a cross between a hostel and a hotel. Our small room for two had a shower, but the toilets were common for the whole floor. Room was clean, and decent breakfast was included. English speaking staff was helpful. This place is located outside of the downtown, but a bus line is right around the corner and the main train station is a short walk.
Simple, but clean--you get what you pay for
I spent 4 nights here in August 2013. The room was clean, but quite simple. No English TV stations, spotty internet in the room. Overall, I think for the price I paid for it, what I got was reasonable. It's a 20-30 minute walk into the main part of Salzburg, or you can take a bus into town that takes about 10 minutes. A pleasant stay, and I would recommend it if you're looking for budget accommodations in Salzburg and don't mind being slightly out of the main part of the city.
Good service
Clean place and very helpful staff
FANS PLEASE
Austria has yet to discover global warming....Rooms were great but in desperate need of a ceiling fan for this now warm summer months in Salzburg. Just the movement of air from a nicely placed ceiling fan would go a long ways to provide comfort for the guests.
Within walking distance of downtown Salzburg
Small hotel, small staff, small room and extremely thin walls. Shared bathroom, unless you upgrade your room. The room only contained a bed, a wardrobe and a bathroom sink. The beds consisted of a thin mattress over a slat board base. Our room overlooked the back garden area. The garden area had some tables where you could eat. The hotel itself is a converted old home. Most of the customers in this hotel were budget minded travelers or business people. There was not the camaraderie that is associated with a hostel. The small staff was kind and considerate. They helped us with suggestions of places to eat, buy food, and local things to do. The staff kept a pot of hot water for beverages in the corridor for when the kitchen was closed. Customers were not allowed in the kitchen. A breakfast was included in the price of the room. This was taken in a communal area and consisted of couple rolls each with a selection of spreads and beverages. The main train station was a 25 minute walk from the hotel. A small grocery is about 5 minute walk. A 10 minute walk gets you to a super sized Aldi (supermarket), where they have a great beer selection. It is a 15 minute walk into downtown Salzburg. This hotel is good for the independent budget traveler in Salzburg, but if you plan on doing anything in the hotel room other than sleeping, this hotel is not for you.
Good accomodation at a good price. The only thing I did not like is that the customer service staff changed every day (a different person every day and not all of them knowledgeable about tourist information)
서비스가 좋아서 만족했습니다!
Alle prima!
Sehr nette Pension samt Personal. Kaffee, Tee und Glühwein for free
Saubere Unterkunft unweit vom Hbf.
It is a slightly larger one-room type accommodation. The map that the hotel made itself was very helpful. There was noise even after 10pm because there were many tourists. Nevertheless, I slept comfortably thanks to the somewhat difficult schedule. There is only a sink in the room, and the toilet and shower are shared. Although it is shared, I never had to wait. After checking out, I left my luggage for sightseeing, and thankfully, they were kind enough to handle it. There is a bus that runs to tourist attractions near the hotel, and it is also possible to walk. Thanks to you, I had a good rest. Thank you.
You need to make a reservation for the time of your breakfast. There is a bus that goes to the city center, but when you want to come back late, it would take 20-25 mins. To walk to the station, I think it takes 10-15 mins
Muy bien todo
Nos ayudaron mucho y fueron súper atentos!
近住宅區的住宿
地點方便,附近有超市,前台待人親切和善
Its a good place.
Séjour Salsbourg
Pension très agréable, les sanitaires en commun étaient très propres, l'accueil sympathique, nombreux conseils pratiques !

Nice convenient place to stay in Salzburg. Close to affordable eats and a walkable distance to all sights and attractions. Perfect for young couples and young families.
