Everything was perfect but i forgotbto l’épave you thé car dans thé key if you News we will sent you sorry
Just had a lovely week at the Peninsula Spa Resort with my adult daughters. The hotel is substantial but on different levels on a headland with the most spectacular views. Our room for the week was spacious, including 2 bathrooms and bedrooms, comfy beds meant we slept like logs. Pool facilities are great, two to choose from as well as the terrace with direct access to the sea (deep water). Lots of lovely corners to explore with great views and a lovely sea breeze. The staff were exceptional, unfortunately my disabled daughter was ill for most of the week and the staff team dealt with us with great kindness. The entertainment team focus was very much focussed on the French majority of guests, but there was an exceptional live band one evening together with a great Greek night and a fun Karaoke night. I would happily return to this lovely hotel.
One night stay
We stayed just one night as we were catching the ferry to Santorini the next morning. Sea salt pool and beach area next to hotel were excellent. Our room wasn’t too far away from these areas and room and balcony were excellent. 2 adults and 2 teenagers all thought food was good.
Great holiday!
Fantastic place to spend 8 day holiday. Great vibe and efficient service. We loved the tennis courts and swimming in the sea from the platform. We also enjoyed the themed evenings in the restaurant though we also enjoyed taking a break and eating out a few times
An excellent resort from top to bottom; reception staff, canteen/bar staff, housekeeping and grounds folks are fantastic. The entertainment in the evening and our walk-about in the evening within and outside the resort was priceless. This is a faultless resort - if I could score it more than 10/10, then I would have.
Nice resort. Front desk very helpful BUT most staff not Greek speaking. Weird since I was in Greece. Also only one day out of 8 Greek entertainment. Did not go to Crete for French and German entertainment.
The facility is clean and well kept. However, there is a lack of staff service, there was no drink service to tables or at the pools, and little to no staff clearing tables in the dining rooms. The few staff we encountered were rude and unhelpful and groups of more than 4 couldn’t dine together. There is no evening entertainment and the pools close at 6:00 pm.
Fabulous
Great
It was a wonderful staying. From the start to the end of the vacation. The staff was kind and helpful. The food was great.
Great experience
Since our arrival, Maria was very accommodating, because we had to wait for our room, she upgraded us to a water view and bigger room, also let us do a late check out, the hotel is beautiful, highly recommend it
I would not rate this property as 4 star. First day, not enough towels, locked safe, broken kettle, no water bottles provided in the room, no box of kelinex in the room. Food was okay.
Loved how the staff was friendly. Husband and I came for our 1 year anniversary and they made it very special. Especially for the lovers bliss package. Definitely would recommend staying here. We had the private pool room which was beautiful. The only thing I will say is eventually the resort should offer a disco or something where people can dance throughout the night. They do have nightly shows/activities but not a every night disco. Overall 10/10 would recommend staying here! ☺️
I had a great time
This is a beautiful resort. The all inclusive dining was exceptional. Staff was friendly and very helpful with securing taxis, giving walking directions, and providing early breakfast when needed. Would love to go back!
Great location, professional staff
Food was ok and seemed to be catered to the French. Rooms were nice and fairly clean. Staff was not very friendly at times. Just seemed unhappy except for our housekeeper. She was always friendly and nice.
The location and property is amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food was hit and miss though. Some of it was great, other not so much. Breakfast was actually my favorite. Great value for the price overall though. Oh, and please add more signage in the lobby to help first time guests navigate the property. Especially to the 200’s. There’s a sign missing right by the elevator that would be very helpful.
there were no toiletries. I checked in to celebrate my birthday there, but to my disappointment, nobody even wished me when I did mention that it is my birthday.
I stayed here a couple of days with my family. we had nice relaxing time, the sea was lovely, buffet had large selection and food was nice.
The most beautiful resort with breathtaking views! Have never experienced an all inclusive that offers so much variety and the most fresh tasting dishes ever. The staff make you feel so welcome, just the most perfect place.
The resort is fantastic. The staff is amazing. They are very caring and attentive to your needs. There iare two beaches within walking distance and the hotel does have its own private cement platform deck by the deep end of the water on their premises. Food: The spread of food is amazing even for a vegetarian. I had no problems finding food that i enjoyed. The hotel does a great job of making sure all guest needs are met. Entertainment: The hotel does have entertainment every night and they do a pretty good job of getting you involved. Warning: Baggage appears to be delayed on a daily basis. We had our baggage delayed and had to wait two full days before they arrived. Carry-on was taken from us at Athens due to low space inside the plane. Advice: Walk with a personal bag they will let you board with it on the plane. So pack clothes and other necessary for two days because the odds of you getting your baggage are very low. Some rooms don't have phones. But after reaching out to the management. We where able to get a phone. This might come in handy if you have to be making local calls to the airport about your baggage. Must do: There's a diving center called stay wet by the public beach. This is a must do on your bucket list. Weather your first time swimmer or and advance swimmer take advantage of this experience. The staff is amazing and take their time with you. In the water they go at your pace and take away all fears of diving. Highly recommend.
Beautiful hotel and views, nice beaches, lovely food and staff. Some maintenance work being carried out could hear drilling etc outside quite a lot.
The area is beautiful, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the whole place is amazingly clean. We had such an amazing time and I would definitely recommend it to anyone for a beautiful relaxing holiday
Gorgeous location in Agio Pelagia. It’s got breathtaking views, secluded, but not isolated, and a white and stone design. The staff are genuinely kind, responsive, and gave us a true 5 star experience.
We had a great stay.
Very clean resort with stunning views!! Employees are extremely friendly and their for anything you need.. especially Sophia and Jennifer..and their food is absolutely amazing!!! We will definitely be back and highly recommend you stay here..
Good overall but room was basic
Amazing facilities but room was very basic.
The location and many pool options were great. Also the private sea access with bar facilities were a nice option. The all-inclusive is not really all inclusive as it is restricted to local spirits only, but the value for money overall is very good.
Stunning resort, built right on the side of the rocky hill with access to the deep blue sea. Everything is new and sparkling clean. The view from the room was breathtaking and the amenities provided were superb. We were greeted by a very friendly lady at the front desk who upgraded us from half board to all inclusive and sorted everything out for us (Thank you Anna!) All the staff have been amazing and always keen to help and treat us to something to drink or eat. Highly recommended if you want a peaceful retreat by the sea with your family.
We were given a standard double room even though we had booked a soperior double sea view room. After 3 days of our 12 day stay, we complained quite sternly and Sophia the manager upgraded us to a Junior Suite. This seems like a huge upgrade but in effect it was simply a bigger room. This "resort" is very spread out and is not easily accessible . There is no beach. The main pool is quite small and situated right outside the dining area. The salt water pool is accessed via a lift down 3 floors and then 56 steps down to the pool. There are no snack bars or even any type of drinks available at this pool. You have to go back to the main pool area if you want something to drink. The "deck" which is simply a big concrete area, is another 82 steps down - no lift. Becuase it is all concrete it is extremely hot down there. It has a small snack bar but the all inclusive does not apply here , so if you want a drink it is all the way back to the hotel - 130 steps and 3 floors in the lift. The Entertainment at night is simply rubbish!!! The animation team could not even keep a 3 year old entertained. The hotel is about 45 minutes away from Heraklion, so if you have children or teenagers there is simply nothing for them to do after 6pm. A simply dissappointing experience and definitely not a 4 star resort.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets were fantastic for all inclusive deal. We loved our room with a sea view and balcony
Nice quiet location. Really clean. Friendly staff. Good selection of food.
Friendly staff, excellent rooms, great food, Swimming in the warm sea, snorkelling, whats not to like?
Beautiful resort and surroundings
Beautiful and clean resort, but getting here from the airport or ferry port is quite difficult if you don't have GPS. The beach is very small, but clean. All inclusive (breaking, lunch, and dinner) had many selections. Rooms are kinda small but very clean. I will be coming back again.
The hotel was very comfortable and staff were very flexible and helpful. We were upgraded as soon as we arrived. Loved the food and the pools but would have liked more musical and possibly other events rather than participative experiences because of language barriers.
A very mixed bag .
Its too long to write about, I will be as objective as possible, everyone wants different things. Room cleaning, whilst the room was cleaned well, there were things missed and not replenished most days. The food was average, some good things but on the whole nothing to shout about. Most of the entertainment was in French which is fine if you are French. Not withstanding that, the entertainment was awful, we went twice, the first everning was "humour", well, it would have insulted a 5 year old, we stayed 15 minutes. The second evening, Cabaret, the music and singing were from a CD and the acting to the scores was, I cant quite think of the word, we stayed 20 mins. After that we just didnt bother. There is a club there which caters for the guests, when these activities start the whole of the main swimming pool, snack bar and pool ares are blasted with clubbing music, so you have to vacate the area to find the salt water pool or go down the sea. This noise took over the whole area and at best for 10 people, while the rest of us went away or put up with it. Beaches are tiny and crammed. If sitting by the salt water pool, very nice, if you want the loo or a drink, then you have to go up ordown 2 floors. We had a sea view room, but also faced another huge hotel. Whilst on the balcony we were ofter blasted with music from this hotel and the opposite. Most staff were not interactive. $45 euros stolen from room, no one in reception was at all interested, almost called us liars.
Would go back!
We were spoilt with a new sea view room which was very spacious. All inclusive meals were not mind blowing but the food was very good with a huge variety for every pallet, this was however only available during meal times so if you have kids do not expect snacks and ice cream all day. The staff, cleanliness and facilities in this hotel cannot be faulted. There are a lot of steps as this is built into a cliff not a problem for us but wouldn’t recommend to those with walking difficulties. Choice of pools were great and the beach although you have to pay for beds and umbrellas (which in my eyes should be included for those staying at the resort) was lovely especially with the bar and superb staff. We had a fantastic visit to Peninsula and would definitely go back.
Overall happy with the stay.
This Resort is very family friendly and the food is great. I came to this resort to relax after much island hopping and I end up relaxing the way I planned. The all inclusive food was great. the pools were nice and clean. I wish the free wifi was stronger and the room wifi was included in the all inclusive deal.
We were upgraded from a superior room with a sea view to a room with a private pool and a sea view. The room was very nice and clean. We did have an issue with the A.C. in the room , initially the remote wasn't working and that was never fixed. The room telephone was also out of order, but it was replaced the following evening by a working one. I didn't like that at the hotel restaurant , the different dishes weren't marked properly with a fool description of what the dish included. Also, we booked an excursion and the bus that was suppose to pick us up didn't wait for us when we were misinformed regrading the pickup location and so we missed it , the staff didn't offer us a solution , they just provided a full refund. The entertainment was entirely in French and we didn't know this before booking, we might have reconsidered our stay. However, we enjoyed the room and private pool very much!
Not the Best Experience at a BEAUTIFUL Hotel
When we first arrived we were pleasantly surprised - our room was beautiful with the most stunning view from a massive balcony. The food was great, although lacking a little in variety for breakfast (the same 2 fruits every single day). Beds were rock hard. 5 days into our time at Peninsula, there was a slow leak of water through the ceiling in our room. We notified 2 staff members (guest services and the front desk staff) and the maid also notified the front desk. We went on an excursion for the day and came back to a flood in part of our room and an even worse leak from the ceiling and part of the ceiling falling down. When we notified the front desk again they sent up a person from maintenance to clean up the mess, who told us we had to remain in our room for the rest of our stay and that he’d place a bucket on the floor for the leak overnight. It wasn’t until we forcefully demanded someone from management come up to see the leak that someone actually suggested we change rooms - about 18 hours after we originally notified them about the leak. Nobody from management ever came to our room. The moved us to a different room, gave us a spa voucher and a few other small incentives. We’re not angry, however it became clear to us that this organization lacks communication - no one took responsibility and to us this was just very bad customer service. Someone from management should have come to our room immediately to assess the situation and make a decision about next steps.
fabulous views from every terrace. quality of surroundings firstt class and ambiance within hotel serene.
Lovely hotel with two stunning beaches
Excellent friendly staff, two secluded beaches each side of the hotel and a superb all inclusive range of food and drinks made for a memorable time in Crete.
Nice hotel with amazing views
I stay at this hotel every time I come to Crete to relax for few days after / before the flight before exploring the rest of the island. I absolutely love it. Views are amazing. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Food is good. Sometimes it gets way too windy, but this is true about the whole island. Highly recommend.
Nice hotel
I stayed in this hotel 4 times and plan to stay more. Like it very much. It's close to the airport, which make it convinient for after flight get- before flight few days to relax. Beautiful views, wonderful staff, good food. Live it.
Very nice hotel! good value for this money
We really love our vacation in this hotel, as it is situated in stunning area. All across the hotel you can see the sea. Rooms are clean and fresh. I would like to have bathtub in the room as well, but it is not a big deal. There are 4 pools, 3 accesses to the sea, big lobby area, very nice view from main restaurant. Very fair price=value.
Beautiful Hotel
Beautiful hotel, staff was amazing, always there to please you, very clean hotel, buffet was amazing, the only thing that we wish they had more chairs for the pool area. The all inclusive is the best.
Nice beach hotel.
The hotel has beautiful views, well maintained, clean, rooms depend on the sector the views you get. Food is excellent, variated salads, mostly French food (10 out of 10). All inclusive has many restrictions just a small list of drinks and snacks only at the main pool bar. Tsimento bar (you need to pay to use sunbeds here) all inclusive is more limited, just a few none alcoholics drinks and beer, there is no even cookies as snacks ( not reasonable at all). Rooms, restaurants are clean, nice views. Entertainment team has many activities, looks like they have a nice time but as most of the guest/entertainment team were French speakers, for my children was difficult to feel integrated since was hard for some of them to translate to English. At night they have disco and entertainment really fun, we enjoyed a lot (10/10), good sense of humor. Cons: You have to pay for towels, for sunbeds and the internet at room. We booked a sea view bungalow. Once we arrived a young, with a lack of experience lady informed us they have no sea view bungalow available so we have to be relocated to the simple room (not comfortable beds at all) in a rude manner. We asked for the manager and she solved upgrading us the room and compensations. We had a bad time but we felt was ok what they offered. The junior bungalow has not the same "sea view" than the bungalow we booked ( the view was to the hotel in front). All inclusive is limited to a few hours (drinks and snacks).
Great hotel, awful shuttle service!
Everything was great, except the airport shuttle! It only runs once an hour and only carries 7 people. We waited 50 minutes for the shuttle and then they weren't going to let all 4 of us on! He finally allowed our 4th person to squeeze in, a lady with 2 babies was not able to get on and was sobbing hysterically when we left. When we left the next morning back to airport, they used a much bigger bus, that should have been used all the time if they are only running hourly.
Rooms don't look like pictures at all
The hotel itself is nice-beautiful location, ample dinner buffet with different daily options (breakfast is the same every day). The have nightly entertainment. The staff is kind of rude but I guess that's just them being Greek?:) If you need beach towels, get them at the front desk, not available at the beach/pool. They nickel and dime you-tiny safe is 2.5 euro a day-you will fit wallet in it only. They charge for beach chairs and umbrellas. The rooms are bad-sorry, Expedia but the pictures you have are the premium rooms. Regular rooms are pretty bad-see photos. No lotion or conditioner in the rooms so bring yours. If you don't mind the outdated rooms, then I'd recommend the property. Oh-Go to Vasilis restaurant next to the hotel-great experience, staff is amazing!
Excellent staff and a pleasant enjoyable stay
We stayed for a week in May and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately the mini club was closed, but I would still rate the resort facilities as a really good. Food was excellent, staff were very polite and helpful.
Beautiful location, but issues ruined experience
Amazing location Food was ok, bit repetitive. Noise from pool bar was excessive Noise from works on grounds in morning was excessive Bed seriously uncomfortable Unable to leave air con on so room roasting on our return Wifi chargeable in room Had a massive issue with our electronic key system not working, reported to reception numerous times, keys reset, didn't work, batteries replaced on unit, didn't work. Finally on LAST day they removed the electronic key system and gave us a key. This wouldn't have been too much of an issue but our room was 4 floors down and a long walk, wasting hours of our holiday time!
Beautiful views and wonderful people
This resort was a perfect stop for our honeymoon. The sea view we had was exceptional to watch the sunrise. The buffet food was delicious and there was something different every day. The hotel staff always had the biggest smiles on their faces. We would definitely come here again.
The room was very small. The 2 single beds were put in a room in such a way, that we could not even close the adjoining door. There was hardly any place to walk or to put our luggage. The snacks at the snack bar were boring and same on all days. The cocktails and the drinks were diluted and not very good. Some of the staff were rude.
No parking - the hotel have to do something.
Nice people, polite, professional, excellent meals, good programs, life music. Negative - no mosquito screens on the doors - is it so difficult to be installed?
Great customer service
Room was spotless, staff nice and very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.
amazing hotel
it was great overall. however there was a cockcroach in zhe bathtoom.
Modern Hotel near Heraklion
A modern hotel with all you would expect. But in the rooms close to the disco area you will suffer dire noise and vibration problems up to midnight every night. Do not believe reception staff if they tell you it "will only be for this one night" as they did us. It was every night of the stay. The buffet was adequate most evenings, except for the night when the seafood option was boiled rice + a small number of tiny shrimps which they called "seafood risotto". Send the cook to Italy ! Breakfasts were unexciting with an extra €2 for real orange juice. Staff were pleasant mostly, with Maria in reception particularly helpful but the staff shooing punters out of the dining room after breakfast at 9.45am, charmless. Their "beach" is an old concrete platform over the rocks, with steep steps to get into the sea. Not a grain of sand in sight.
Never again
We asked to have the smell in the bathroom looked at but nothing done. Asked if they could do something about the hot water as there was none. Nothing done. The dinning room reminded me of when I was in the military, line up in the line. The quality was no better.
Terrible. Only one reception person was friendly others bordered on being rude. No detailed information on resort given. Charged for beach towels per day and a deposit of $20. e. Also made you walk to lobby to get them. All inclusive with terrible food and their beach is NOT a beAch it is cement. Would not stay here agsin
Beautiful hotel built into the cliffs
Our family of four stayed at this hotel for just one night. We were looking for something close to the airport. It was a bit farther than we had expected given it is a bit of a drive down a long, winding and very narrow road that hugs the coast. Once we arrived, we were thrilled with the facilities and the views. We had booked a family room and they gave us two bedrooms and a balcony with a stunning view. We loved the pools, the food was good for all inclusive and we loved exploring the property. There is lots of walking, but so much to see. We walked down to the beach and found an amazing taverna run by the friendliest family, who cook with locally grown food- often from their own gardens. We would definitely recommend this hotel as a great base for exploring Heraklion.
Beautiful location for a value for money break
This hotel is a strange mixture of a fabulous cliff top location, comfortable rooms, slightly dated bathrooms, large pools and well appointed bars with wonderful sea views....and then there are the 'animateurs' a group of enthusiastic, relentlessly cheerful young people whose sole purpose is to entertain you with dancing, singing, games and evening shows. I have every admiration for people who can do this without flagging, always wearing a cheery smile and clearly lots of the guests, mostly French, Spanish and Russians loved them but it was, for us, an acquired taste! Good fun in small doses and you could always escape them by walking for a few minutes to one of a couple of pretty little coves to the left and right of the hotel. The catering (we went half board) was ok and seemed to improve as the week went on and the number of guests declined. The Tavernas at one of the coves were great and Yamas bar and restaurant above Psoulamasos (?) beach was calm and my idea of taverna chic. This is the only hotel where I've stayed which has its' own on site chapel with wall paintings, possibly used for wedding blessings? As it is very tiny only room for the happy couple and their very close friends! The steep nature of the location may make getting around difficult for those with mobility problems. Overall we had a lovely relaxing time and although it was early October the weather was great plus we saw a school of dolphins swimming pass the hotel early on morning. Fab!
Nice hotel welcoming friendly staff
Hotel was clean and welcoming. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Two beaches within easy distance and a larger beach and village about a mile away with plenty of bars and restaurants. Local service buses into Heraklion depart from the hotel door - cheap and run on time. We were half board and ate at the hotel in the evenings. The food was good, served buffet style with plenty of choice. Our room was a good size with a nice size balcony.
A hidden Cretan gem
We stayed four nights, Sep 14-18. The location is amazing, built on a cliff overlooking beautiful waters all around. Two amazing beaches in walking distance, clean and pristine waters. The food was incredible even by Greek standards, much better than all Caribean and Mexican all-inclusives combined. Staff was really nice, always smiling and ready to help. The facilities are kept sparkling clean and the room was spacious with a beautiful view. Only thing that could be improved was the bed mattress which was dated and uneven. Most probably will return as soon as we can to enjoy Cretan hospitality at its best.
A lot of stairs on the way to the beach
Below of my expectations and definitely not what they advert everywhere. No WiFi in the rooms, nobody bother to come and fix the TV for 5 days and after i've called them 4 times, everywhere you hear only french and the staff doesn't speak English at all.
Worth a visit
Excellent holiday. Food buffets terrific choices. Plenty of bars but service slow. Great views.
Big positives outweigh the small niggles
Lovely place to stay, worth the upgrade to all inclusive and sea view room. Beaches at the hotel are poor but a 15 minute walk into the town and the one there is great. Pool bar area great for sunbathing and dipping in the sea to cool down!
All Hail the Peninsula!
Lovely Hotel with a lovely view. The animation crew was super cool and friendly, we certainly enjoyed their company. Reception was great, easy check in, and they also brought us a tray of fruits and a bottle of wine in celebration of our honeymoon. Most of the kitchen staff were awesome, however a few women in the restaurant we felt were not as friendly or nice. The pool view is amazing and the Hotel is situated close to a few beaches and there was easy access. Rooms were clean and tidy. A little further than expected, but once you are here you forget about all the worries and troubles you went through to get there. The food was pretty good, nothing to complain about. We wished we could have stayed longer to explore Crete a little more, but it was so hard to leave this Hotel. Highly Recommended :)
OK Hotel, but not 4*
First impressions were good - we got lost on the way and phoned for assistance after midnight and were very helpfully given clear directions. But when we got to the room, we were disappointed. Very basic built-in beds with uncomfortable matresses and insufficient covers. We managed to get extra blankets (this was late October, so starting to get cooler) but the beds stayed uncomfortable! The cleanliness was good and towels were changed daily. Breakfast was OK - though some pastries were hard and the hot selection was limited (and see later). Dinner was sometimes excellent, sometimes OK but always tepid. maybe it's an October thing - you might not want piping hot food when it's 30 degrees outside, but we would have liked it. Even when the food came straight from the kitchen - it wasn't hot. Hotel facilities were limited. The outdoor pools looked nice enough and the indoor pool was really nice (if a little small). There was a pool table whcih was ripped, crooked and had balls missing. Not very impressive. Car parking was on the narrow road approaching the hotel by the car hire place: again, just a little less than expected. Oh, and the wi-fi packed up half way through our stay.
Nice hotel but think it twice
When we arrived the room's floor had blood stains. On the two nights we stayed there was no internet service: in my opinion the management blocked the access as the hotel was fully booked and they did not want to offer a bad Wi-Fi service (the management had internet service in their office). The blankets were old, with holes on them. The location is not very good, it takes 20 minutes from-to Heraklion by taxi, and it may cost 35-40 euro each way. The hotel offers a cheap bus to the city, but the schedules are not very convenient.
Very good large hotel with excellent views
This is a very good large hotel with excellent views close to a beach and very friendly and attentive staff. The hotel serves reasonable food although quality uneven - good one day and mediocre next. My only complain is a large air conditioning unit near my room which was a bit noisy - hotel staff did offer to change a room and I do not consider this a negative.
Beautiful location, corners cut.
First the bad: Twin beds instead of double. Standard of food was patchy. All-inclusive drinks were in some cases undrinkable - pre-mix cocktails/bad wine. The beach bar wasn't on a beach, but on a slab of concrete with sun loungers you had to pay to use. Crazy rush for the food at meal times. Beds were really hard. ...and the good: The beer was good! The beaches either side of the hotel were lovely.
Great view
Stayed for 10 nights half board, at beginning of September. Booked a sea view double room, when we arrived we were offered food in the restaurant (supper) to help ourselves. Were then shown to a villa (which would sleep 6) very spacious with all round views of sea & mountains next to the spa, so plenty of privacy as it sits on its own. Plenty of areas in the hotel for relaxing, which are kept very clean. Two good size pools with plenty of loungers & parasols. Pool side café & bar cater mostly for all inclusive guests, as we had a problem with service having no change when wanted to pay for coffee, snacks or drinks. We found the restaurant very busy although tables were cleared and re-set quickly after use, for new diners. Plenty of food to choose from although heated food could have been warmer and juice at breakfast was watery Staff at reception were very helpful. We found the hotel a bit isolated if you want to visit other places on the island, as you need to go via heraklion if you want to visit Chania. Buses to village/beach ran 3 times a day but last one returning to the hotel was around 5.30 which was disappointing , a taxi costs around €10, or its a 30 min walk uphill (in full sun). There is a small beach on either side of the hotel, however both are down steep hills/steps and one with just a couple of bars/shops. We used the larger beach in the village which was nice, loungers on the beach are €3 per day and there's a few more bars, cafés, restaurants, shops
Great value that exceeded our expectations!
Hotel reviews & pics do not do it justice! Great value for all inclusive. Most friendly hotel staff and beautiful views! Ask for room 1019 or around for best location
Great lication
The Hotel is very nice and quiet in a great location. We didn't enjoy the food very much. The pool is great and the coasts are beautiful.
Great Stay
We stayed at the Peninsula for 3 night and 4 days in mid-August. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was lovely. We used the hotel as a base to visit both Hania and Agios Nikolaos and it was well placed. If you are looking for a quiet holiday this is the place. Beautiful sea views and the pool on the cliff was excellent. Good access to the beaches but unfortunately, they are not sandy and one will require aqua shoes. I would recommend it.
Nice hotel for relaxing holiday
Reserved sea view room, but got mountain view room first. after complaining they tried to explain that the room we got is a sea view room, because it has (hardly) partly view to the sea. (the first room was very noisy due to the road to warehouse under the balcony) After one night the room was changed to a real sea view one. after this everything was OK. The room was comfortable and clean the half board catering was excellent.
Just relax
We just get relaxed. We used pool but it was not clean enough. Animations werent profescional. There is not enough bus services, its limited. Room was very clean and the staf were very helpful , kind and friendly
Hotel with a wonderful setting
The hotel had spectacular views and gardens. The pool was also clean and warm. The continuous music at the beach bar and one of the pools was the only drawback. The food was certainly plentiful and good.
The best staff ever, super friendly.
Excellent vacation! Everyone at the hotel was frendly and helpfull, the chef does a great job, the fresh fish was amazing . The receptionists were as nice as can be, making this hotel a must return! The animation team , the wait staff, and all the bar tenders, should get a standing ovation. Bravo ! George. All the way from Pennsylvania We had a great time at the hotel.
Great if you want to stay put and not get about
The hotel is everything you would want from this type of holiday. Amazing views, nice pools, nice but small local beach but a long way from civilisation. The only thing missing was information. None of those leaflets and information boards. We asked how to get to town and were told about the local bus that leaves at 9.15 and costs 3.50 euros. We were not told that the last bus back was 2.30 pm. Taxi back 35.00 euros!
Clean tidy well looked after, helpfull staff.
Me and my wife have just stayed at the peninsula for a week in late May its a nice hotel the staff on reception were very friendly and helpfull ,its a very short walk down to the beach down a lot of steps (not suitable for disabled or if you have difficulty with mobility) it was quiet due to early season, If I was to be picky I could say that we were not impressed at having to pay for the sun beds and brolly on the hotels own private area (no wonder it was empty) and the pool table is ready for the skip , Its the worst one ive ever seen or tried to play on (lol) there is a greaty little bay to the side of the hotel with two or three very nice little taverners. Breakfast was a very varied selection lots of choice inc an Egg chef , Evenings was also a very varied selection inc a barbeque with something Different every eve ,one small moan the wine was a bit naff but i didnt try the beer so cant comment on that,
Great location near beach
Initially we were very disappointed with the room we were allocated - spartan furnishings and very small. We were eventually given a far better room although not with a sea view. The staff were very willing to help resolve the issue and we ended up having a super holiday.
beautiful hotel, medium location
it was pleasure the all included service was great
Amazing views
The views from the hotel were incredible. The lower pool area was relaxing - again with great views. The decking by the sea was a great bonus and better than a stony beach in my opinion. The food was generally great and varied, catering well for vegetarians. On the downside, the all-inclusive package didn't include beach towels, ice-creams and only the worst quality alcohol and soft drinks. Overall though it was a great experience.
Superb Stay
We had an amazing time with friends and family. Very clean and comfortable. Views from hotel are extraordinary.
A Great Location!
Lovely location, fantastic views & attentive staff.... but nightly entertainment team terrible, amateur & lack all form of talent. Good standard of cleanliness throughout. Only 30 mins from the airport!
Great for everyone
The Peninsula hotel was incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality. The rooms were beautiful, the food delicious, and the views stunning. There were a variety of pools and beaches to choose from, and the Ancient Sites were just 25 min away. I would recommend this hotel highly, and I do plan on returning in the near future
Pleasant
Nice mix of couples, families and some people on their own.Mainly French people, good food and service. Not the most modern resort but excellent landscape views, this sold us.Nice local restaurant (stellios) for a change from all-inc and local beach for a swim in the sea occupied manly by local cretans
And a paradise exist...in Peninsula Hotel. Thanks!
It was really unforgettable holidays in a breathtaking scenery. Thanks to the extraordinary hospitality and kindness of people working there that are creating a very positive atmosphere, thanks to great chef that is a real magician preparing the best Greek and Mediterranean specialities , thanks to the perfect position of the hotel with 2 great beaches and crystal clear sea water. Everything was just perfect. Best time to visit - Greek Easter celebration.
Beautiful hotel in scenic setting
This hotel was excellent in many ways. Only 29 kilometers from Heraklion airport, it is very well maintained, with no shabby areas. Everything seems newly painted or refurbished. The gardens are beautiful. The position on the peninsula is stunning, but we hired a car and I would recommend that unless you like to stay around the hotel mostly you would have to rely on public transport or organised tours, because the location is not near a village/town. It is walking distance down steps to the beach and a small shop. We went in mid October and the seawater pool had been emptied for the end of the season but there is a deck area and seaside bar still operational when we were there. We had fantastic hot weather but were told by locals this is not always the case in October. The food was very good, and whilst not fine dining, there was always a massive choice. Most people seemed to be all inclusive,as we were. The only downside (and of course this will not affect some people) was the poor wifi coverage, which these days one expects to be free and as reliable as electricity and water. The reception area was the only strong signal and therefore attracted those wishing to go online, send whatsapps, download stuff. We would certainly stay here again. The staff were very polite and helpful, as all the Greek people seem to be.
Hotel is way too big to attend to all its guests
This hotel is not for travellers prevering a more intimate touch to there stay. The hotel is way to big and everyone had to wear a bracelet? We did not like it, but the food was great and the view!
Central location for visiting the rest of island
Disappointed with quality of breakfast and hotel, being rated 4 star plus is definitely a no-no, it really is a 2/3 star hotel. However, location and outside area is 5*. The hotel is centrally situated for touring Crete, a car is a must for anyone staying here.
French hotel?
We spent one week in Peninsula hotel. The view was amazing, room looked like a white cave, but it was comfortable and clean. The food was good, the drinks could be better (the soft drinks were very sweet). The pools were nice and very clean. There were always available sunbeds beside them. The beach was next to the hotel, but you have to overcome lots of stairs. So all in all it was a nice hotel to stay... except the animation program. It was disapponting, because it was done almost only in French (2-3 minutes French speaking... 1 sentence English. Mostly: Ok. Let's go together! or something similar).
You can check out but you can never truly leave!
the best hotel, the best entertainment, the best food, the best beaches - downfall seclusion - i like that but I wish there were more transportation available through the local bus system, had to spend 35 euros on a cab back to the port because there were no buses running at the time. Might have better luck in the summer. This place is spectacular, do visit the neighboring supermarket at monolith beach and stelios family tavern to get a real greek experience. Don't be suprised by all the free shots. It might be worth it to go all inclusive, the food was really good.
Dejligt sted
Dejligt sted.
