Perfect spot for our honeymoon. We loved the place, so beautiful, an incredible view from the room, a very nice jacuzzi also with the view. Staff was super friendly and helpful for getting everything sorted out, from renting bikes to transportation to the airport. Will definitely recommend to any couple that wants to enjoy a romantic stay. The restaurant was really good as well, we only had a light lunch and a breakfast, but they were very good.
They have spectacular views! Tanny, our transportation driver to & from port is excellent! Such a nice and kind man. He went above and beyond what was expected of him. Thank you, Tanny! You are the best!
Rooms with amazing views. Located 30 mins walk to Fira. Rooms are good and look out on to the volcano and the famous cliff rock. Staff is a bit hard to deal with. So I chose to talk less. Basic continental breakfast. Had some hot food options as well.
Lovely spot and great restaurant. Couldn't ask for more!
It smelled of sewage throughout our stay, the front desk never replied to my emails nor ever answered my phone calls (even through WhatsApp as they ask you to use while there). The electric box tripped several times, the food was ok. The view was amazing. Our room was spacious and bathroom tiny…water in shower didn’t drain well. As beautiful as the view was, I don’t feel I would stay here again.
The views were unbelievable. As is the case in most of Santorini, it required walking up and down numerous steps, many of which are uneven, so it would be difficult for someone with mobility issues. That said, it was beautiful, and I can't wait to go back. We had a lovely balcony with a breathtaking view of the sea. The room was simple but clean and comfortable. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was not as good as some of the surrounding restaurants, but there are many others to choose from. I would definitely stay there again.
Incredible Room and Views
We stayed in the honeymoon suite with the indoor/outdoor pool and it was incredible. Everything about the room was just amazing. The views from the room were spectacular, perfect views of Skaros rock, Oia and the surrounding areas. The room itself was fantastic. From the pool to the spacious living area and bedroom. It was a room you just didn’t want to leave. The only negative I had about our stay was staff experiences in the restaurant. One was, they took our order incorrectly and then tried to convince us we’d ordered that dish. No apology was given for the inconvenience nor any acknowledgement of the error on their behalf. Instead they made it seem like it was our fault. There was also another instance where I had asked for a glass for my beer but the staff didn’t want to give me one as they didn’t have many even though the restaurant/bar was empty. Eventually after a few minutes of discussing I was reluctantly given one. Two bizarre situations but didn’t take from our stay nor was it a reflection on the hotel staff who were very friendly and helpful.
This place is absolutely magical! My husband and I stayed at the honeymoon indoor cave pool room and it was amazing! The staff service was outstanding and extremely helpful! We’ll definitely be back
Staff rude
Stunning location and views
Location and views were stunning. Our room was very squashed and dark with no storage or places to sit other than on the bed. Bathroom definitely needed a complete refit. Staff were courteous but largely invisible and gave little information on arrival, for example where breakfast would be served. But overall we enjoyed our stay in Imerovigli.
This hotel is very welcoming. Particularly the staff is very happy of receiving you. The only downside- which is the cultural norm because of how structures well built- is the amount of stairs you have to climb to go anywhere within the premises. In addition, all touristic sites have stairs too. So get ready for building up those legs. It’s quite a challenge especially for those who don’t have a strict workout regime- like my wife. Lol
Best View Ever
This hotel is alright. We got the best room though. Isolated and right in from of Skaros Rock. Spacious and with a little balcony. We loved it. The bathroom is outdated and has no curtain, so basically you take a shower and leave a pond on the floor. Breakfast was pretty decent. The pool is 4 stories up and the phone wasn't working so to get something from the bar you had to go all the way down. Service at the bar needs improvement. My husband got food poison from another restaurant so we spent the whole day in the room which to go up to the bar we had to go up many stairs. I was taking care of him and called the bar to bring us a soda and plain and simple, this girl told me that they couldn't because they were short in staff and didn't offer an alternative or even to bring it later or something. But oh well! We lived. Christos is super nice and friendly. We had good talks! Nice guy!
Friendly hotel with fantastic view
Staff was helpful, very friendly with great service. Room was simple and clean, with windows that opened up to the most fantastic, beautiful 180 degree view overlooking the Caldera. I really enjoyed my stay.
Beautiful view
The view is really great. The room is smallish. The staff are wonderful, they try to help whenever they can. The location of the room is very good with the central location very nice. Being a central location means that parking is rather restricted. Plenty of food stores in the area along with plenty of places to eat
Loved the view, right on the edge of the cliff. The staff was really quite lovely, carried our bags up and down the stairs for us, sweet breakfast service outside every day was included. Desk manager super helpful very friendly and kind.
Overpriced, tired disappointment!
Our room was basic, no shower hook at all, had to hold and wash hair, not easy. flaking paint in shower and dirt - no tiles at all. Noisy fridge in room it kept me awake! Old paintwork and also a shared balcony which I didn't want. room right near laundry room with noisy machines all day and staff playing Al jezerra tv. Pipes poking out in the room. Same breakfast every day. No choices. We only flew home at 11pm - had to check out at 12 and had no where to go. No room to rest or freshen up. We were tired, hungry, cold and had no money left! Had to just hang around for 8 hours. Its not good enough. There were empty plant pots outside our room with just soil. no lush colourful plants like the other hotels. When walking past other hotels, ours certainly looked like a poor relation, I was embarrassed to say its where we were staying.
Amazing views
We had a nice little flat with balcony and amazing view. It’s perfect for 1-3 nights but not for longer. Host was very friends and location is excellent. No tea or coffee making facilities.
0 star accomodation at 5 star pricing..dont bother
i almost cried when i saw our room and the thought of having to spend 5 nights in what should have been the highlight of our honeymoon. the room itself and fittings were so poorly kept and unusable, the toilet was yoir worst nightmare everytime i went in i felt i could catch something and it wasnt only our room our neighbours shared the same sentiments. dont get me wrong the staff were all great the management/owners worked them to the bone, the guy serving you breakfast is the same guy carrying your luggage up and down the stairs, cleaning your room and jetted tub as well as packing everything up at midnight. the old man ib the office as nice as he was doesnt give two hoots about you or your stay and i suspect he is going senile he is forgetful dont trust him with your transfers he sent us to the airport instead if the ferry dock narrowly missing our ferry. funnily enough i overheard the owner another old man in the restaurant bragging and telling anyone who would listen about all the property and shops he owned in santorini and living it big in NYC most of thr year and it made sense that this place was so out of touch with the servicr level and expectations of customers nowdays he is still probably offering the same bare minimum he did 20 years ago today and thinking he can charge ridiculous prices. i dont often write a review but i believe it is my duty to others and hope by doing so eventually their 6/10 accomodation should be correctly reflected in their pricing.
great view
Best view Friendly staff. Helpful manager and owner. Both very accommodating to make stay perfect. Good breakfast. Lots of steps. If steps are a problem, contact hotel directly. They may have a few rooms that will work. Not sure, but don't give up. Their bar, cafe is good. The Blue Note Restaurant was also good. Rooms were simple, but good enough. Like the area, because it's in between Fira and Oia. You can walk to Fira. Very good value.
Beautiful hotel with incredible views
Lovely, friendly hotel with delicious breakfast overlooking the sea. The most incredible views on a lovely part of the island which many people came over for and which we had on our doorstep! I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel!
Million dollar view but hotel is dated and bathroom is very primitive
The best wiew in santorini!!!!!
I recommend them with eyes closed, the best view, forget about oia sunset, from my balcony I could see the best sunset of my life!!!
Standard Room LowCalibre, needs updating
The room was clean but the finish very tired. The ensuite needs to be updated desperately,View fabulous.Basic breakfast
Great views and great stay
The views from the room we had were spectacular. It is in a great location within Imerovigli. The pool and breakfast were great. Lots of stairs to get in and out of the hotel but the hotel staff was helpful with our luggage and also arranged us a taxi for our next hotel stay.
Fabulous views over the caldera
This is the best area to stay in Santorini, Imerovigli, on the cliff, as it is the highest spot in the island. The views are fabulous, and this is what you pay for. You can see all round the caldera. The light is ever changing, and sunsets are fabulous. The hotel is built along the cliff over 5-6 levels, so, as with everywhere on the cliff, there are lots of steps. We had help with our bags without asking, and Christos also arranged taxis for us from the hotel. There is a small pool at the top of hotel with amazing views, a café and restaurant also with amazing views. Breakfast was included, continental. We had room 11, shared balcony next to the walkway to Skaros rock, so a little noisy at times, and room 14 above. Lovely rooms with AC and fridge. No plugs in bath, a common feature in Greece. Bring a universal sink plug. There is a slight waft of sulphur from time to time, this is from the volcano opposite and nothing to do with the hotel plumbing! I would come here again. Recommend Kapari restaurant for special meal out.
It's just an Ok hotel
Staff were friendly and nice. The first night the entire room smelt like raw sewage and was very difficult to sleep. Bathroom had incomplete parts to it such as a light fitting not attached over bath and a weird cable/ fixture coming out of the ground near the toilet and bath. No private balcony and pictures online are deceiving in what will get. For the money paid to stay here ( which was a crazy amount for three nights), I expected more from the room and bathroom. It's a lovely area out of town but if you want a large bedroom with a complete bathroom, private balcony and no smell I would stay somewhere else nearby.
All staff where amazing ! I was traveling alone so it was good to have such friendly and helpful people around to make you feel welcome. Couldn't have picked a better hotel or location.
nice hotel with a bomb view
This hotel was better than what I expected! The room was nice, staff was nice, always willing to help! The men were at your beckon call with luggage because throughout the hotel it's a million steps lol! They provide breakfast which was good but it's the same thing everyday,I didn't mind. They also have discounts on surrounding restaurants like Blue Note which was to DIE for! They have a pool,it's a tad small but it does the job! I would stay again
Amazing cave room with an incredible view!
Great location, great staff. Super cool cave room with private pool on the balcony.
Very disappointed in hotel.
Another couple and my husband and I booked rooms for 9 days. We were both shown rooms that were awful but had beautiful views. My husband and my room was 9 feet by 15 feet long. The bathroom had chipped paint and looked very outdated. Our friend's room had a bedroom upstairs that you had to use stairs that were like a ladder to get up to the bedroom. We did complain to the manager who did move us to other rooms the next day so it was better but still not great for what we were paying. The new rooms had a great balcony but bathrooms had broken exposed spouts in bathtub with mold. We were each paying $300 a night. We have stayed in Santorini before so we know what to expect. And this was not up to standards for the price. There was no sense of hospitality from manager or owner. We had stayed at The Altana years ago so we know what hospitality is. There was no effort to make sure we were happy. A beautiful view does not make up for simple amenities that guests should expect. No extra decor , just the basics. The breakfast we had paid for consisted of canned peaches, yogurt, bread and hard boiled eggs. The wait staff and others were friendly and kind and very hard working. Bottom line is a great view does not make up for a very basic outdated room. Look for hotels in Santorini that have both!
Perfect spot in Santorini
We really liked the area that it was in Imerovigli, high on the cliff with fantastic views. Way too many steps for us, we are not very fit lol! Breakfast was nice served to us every morning.
Avoid this Dirty Hotel
Don't book this hotel. A "staff" room was sold to us as economy room, not cheap. Take a look at the photos. The hotel is grossly misrepresented on all trace sites. Total fraud! The room is located right next to hotel's laundry and garbage room. Room is also located on the heavy tourist walkway, so all day long people walk over your window. The window doesn't have a glass, just a net, and when you close it you will realize how depressing and dark it is inside. It is so dark in the bathroom that you will never know how clean or dirty it is there, but when you look around the room you will come to conclusion it's dirty in the barthroom as well. Stained bedding, ancient furniture belongs to garbage - long time overdue. There is no safe box in the room and you have to carry all your valuables around. Hotel doesn't provide drinkin water, not even a small bottle not even glass of water at the arrival. For comparison all hotels I stayed in in Greece offer you water and welcome bottle of wine (all 6 hotels I stayed in Greece did it!) When you ask for restaurant recommendation receiptionist will only suggest hotel's sister restaurant and will say there are many more you are free to try. We moved to another hotel the same day and didn't receive money back. Not sure how they even can advertise this "staff quarters" and sell it on Expedia. It's a fraud! No way this hotel has three stars. Very inappropriate and disappointed with Expedia!
Beautiful view, room not so much.
The view from Spiliotica is undeniably pretty. We had a room with a great view as well. The team is very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay special, including decorating our room with flower petals, etc. for our anniversary. I wish I could say we were impressed with the room itself. The bathroom was not very clean and had an odor that lingered. We kept the door closed and purchased air freshener at the local store to try to combat this. The sheets also felt "sticky" and unclean. We put down beach towels to sleep peacefully. Finally, some of our towels had small stains (some that looked like blood) on them. For the amount of money we spent, I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a clean, odor-free bathroom, clean sheets and clean towels. The hotel is older, but older can be well-kept and clean.
Not as advertised. Impossible to stay.
I'm not making this up ... this is really what my wife and I experienced. The greeting of tankers pumping sewage from cesspools was an ominous sign. Steep uneven steps, many steps, no railings. Check in reception office is small room with cluttered desk a ceiling height less than 70 inches...I had to crouch. Rooms are caves, literally. Ancient bathroom tub and fixtures. Broken light fixtures. Inadequate lighting in bathroom. Pushed out screen on window. Stained pillows. Poor bedding. No furniture. Incompetent service staff and bartender in small outside eating area. Food was awful. This place was not as advertised or comparable to Expedia pictures and certainly not worth the $255 per night plus tax. It was uncomfortable, dangerous and noisy. After 2 hours of contemplating our dilemma, fatigued from a long day of travel by ferry from Mykonos, my wife and I started calling other properties and found a solution. We checked out by evening and never spent the night. I hope Expedia will refund our 2 night purchase. However, I must say that the property my wife and I found on our own was as close to paradise that I have ever been. Happy travels!
Lovely views and staff BUT in real need of updates
The staff and views at this location were great. However, the hotel rooms were very old and not maintained well. For example, our door opening to the sea would literally fall off. Compared to other hotels right next door we just felt the property was dated and didn't provide the same experience. I hope that management will reinvest so it can be the gem I am sure it once was.
Santorini Dominicano
Regular facilites are no practical. And did not like the servicio.
THE VIEW
Santorini just shot to the top of my already impressive list of most beautiful places on this Earth. Staying in Imerovigli in between Fira and Oia was a very wise decision, as was the decision to stay at Spiliotica on the Cliff. Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms, gracious and helpful staff and then there's the view. Words are useless here...
Great stay
Our stay with friends at Spiliotica on the Cliff was great! The view from our front patio was breathtaking, and the location in Imerovigli was perfectly situated between Fira and Oia. Access to the Caldera path is accessible right from the hotel, and we walked the path all the way Oia. The reception was really friendly and helpful, and helped us book ATVs and other transportation. The breakfast was really good too, and we enjoyed the discounts from the neighboring cafes. I would stay here again in the future, hopefully next time with a room with a hot tub!
Covenient great location and wonderful view
It was the best vacation ever we told them that were honeymooners they upgraded our room and we had a wonderful view. It was in the middle of everything very calm at night. the service was excellent and the people are so friendly there thank u guys for this amazing holiday
Fantastic
Loved everything about this hotel. Fantastic room, great views, helpful staff, superb breakfast. Had a premier room with an outdoor jetted tub & magnificent views. Jets didn't work for a couple of days but this didn't bother us as it was more like a mini pool. Repaired with a new part. Only thing I would say would be to change the whirlpool bath to a nice walk in shower as would be more beneficial.
Unforgettable stay at the Spiliotica on the Cliff
Our stay was perfect thanks to an impeccable staff always attentive to our needs but also to recently renovated rooms with an unforgettable view. One detail to improve is the quality of breakfast which is way inferior compared to the quality of the rest of the establishment
The staff members were just amazing and very very friendly and helpful.. The location is perfect and has the best sunset view in Santoniri.. The only negative thing about it is the condition of the suite which really need to be updated! One more thing is the water issue in the shower. It was cutting because of pumping issues and I don't really know if it was a general issue or only in this particular suite. We didn't really make it a big of an issue because of the staff who were always there to solve any problem!!
Beautiful hotel with a beautiful view
Absoloutley loved staying at spiliotica during our stay in santorini, such an amazing experience and so comfortable, felt like home for us. The staff were great especially Mayra for all her guidance during the stay. It felt like staying over with family. A great big thanks to all the staff there for such great hospitality.
Nice hotel on top of the Cliff
2 nights 3 days. What a beautiful experience on Santorini and the hotel was very warm and hospitable. We formed a bond with the management and they helped us with tips.
Nautimme mahtavista maisemista heti aamulla herättyämme, näkymät ikkunasta ja parvekkeelta Skaros rock ja meri.Auringonlaskut nähtävissä asunnoltamme.Palvelu hyvä.

Hotel was ok , with great view of caldera, we revived a lower level room and it was nicely appointed although very small and , people walk right beside your balcony and can look right into your room , hotel restaraunt seemed to give preference to outsiders looking for a spot to have a sunset drink rather that a sunset meal from a hotel guest, great view ,nice staff .ok room
