Very friendly, clean.

Very pleasant stay. Very good breakfast, appreciated all hot foods were hot! Even saw the attendant checking the food temps on the line. Helpful staff. Evening happy hour was nice although we weren't there to use it but once.

The whole staff was very Accommodating. Clean rooms . Quiet Surroundings.

It is usually fine occasion but the temp in the room could not be set back to warm up the room the next day. We set the temp down in the evening to 70 from 74 to cool the room for sleeping. Then around 4am we raised it to 73 cause it was freezing outside. The room never warmed up. The front desk was asked and her response was that the system would have to be turned off and reset to start up again and that would have been too much problem

Pretty good

Staff was amazing, super friendly and very accommodating. The hot breakfast was really good including biscuits and gravy, sausage patties and eggs, fried potatoes, fresh fruit, yogurt and waffle makers. Something for everybody at this one and the coffee was actually pretty okay too but strong! We really enjoyed the evening happy hour with a complimentary drink and snacks, which included chips, salsa, queso, popcorn, pretzels, etc. Only complaints were the room thermostat which seemed to be set on a program and not controllable by the room user, and the bathroom vent fan was inoperable so showering fogged the room up.

Very Affordable despite how close to the Airport it is. Comfortable.

The hotel was near all the main activities that I was looking forward to and the area around felt safe.

Staff was nice, facility was pretty dated, but breakfast was nice! Pretty noisy location by the interstate, but the room was peaceful. Good rate for the quality of room. Would return.

Great place to stay before a flight

From the greeting and easy check-in to the happy hour they offer, we enjoyed our interaction with the staff. The shuttle was terrific & the driver super! Our rooms were comfortable, and overall a good place to stay before leaving San Antonio!

Really clean. Looks like an older refurbished hotel with low ceilings and small spaces, but it was really clean and the staff was very nice. Everything that you need is here and it’s so close to the airport. Definitely would stay here again.

Room had other occupations, we noticed mice in the room.

Location is great, noisy at times, due to being off the highway, but my biggest dislike is how SMALL the bathrooms are. I’ve hurt my elbows many of times due to how close the tp holder is to the door and toilet. May have to stay elsewhere on my next trip.

The hotel was nice. The room was a little musty from a very old carpet and the AC didn’t work all that well, but it was clean and we felt safe which is what I mainly looked for while searching. I haven’t stayed at a hotel in a while… paying over $100 a night I feel like it should’ve been more updated but, that could be the norm and I’m unaware.

Last minute trip

The staff was wonderful. This was a super last minute quick trip for us and we didn’t want to waste too much money. The bathroom was small! And the room was dark because of the furniture and color palette. But it is an older hotel.

I stayed at Pear Tree Inn for a couple of nights for business and it was okay. PROS: Food options at breakfast and their social hours were great. I liked the coffee too. Bed was comfy, use of space in the room was good. Staff were friendly. Plenty of parking. Many luggage carts. Easy check in and check out. SUGGESTIONS: The lights in the room were dim and couple that with the dark carpet and floor, the room kind of felt like a cave. Thw hotel should not limit a/c temp for guests. Couldn't get the room to cool enough, which wasn't great for my medical condition. If I was staying longer than a couple days, I'd have needed a remedy for that. Despite my having mobility challenges I was placed pretty far from things being convenient. That was a bummer, considering I'd called ahead to notify them. At night, you can hear the traffic outside, even over a white noise machine. There was a man sleeping on a couch downstairs, which was a little strange. These are suggestions, not dealbreakers. I'd stay there again if I am in the area.

Great Happy Hour Stay

Clean and comfy, plus happy hour with compliments drink (wine or beer 2 pp.) Chips and hot sauce, chips and cheese for nacho, pretzels...and and good breakfast.. Very friendly staff.

Not happy

Since I ‘ve been there couple of times , I requested king bed pool view . I called day before to confirm but when a came the pool view was 2 beds. What will I do with the beds? Making the room smaller.

Welcomed with a smile at the front desk. Spacious & clean room. Great breakfast assortment. Quick and easy check out. We picked Pear Tree for its closeness to the airport & thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Worth it

Staff was very friendly from check In to late night to checking out! The breakfast was also fantastic and fulfilling !!!

Close to airport

Rooms needs to be thoroughly vacuumed to include lifting up drapes and getting up the dead bugs. Room was clean but kind of dreary looking. Toilet too close to bathroom door. Toilets needs to be replaced with energy efficient toilets that are quiet and use less water. Sounded like a freight train. Staff was friendly. Dining area was nice and there were a lot of breakfast options.

Amazing staff!

I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Pear Tree Inn. We had a situation where we needed an early check in and luggage storage and the staff was happy to accommodate both requests, and even called me when our room was ready. Great airport shuttle service. Room was comfortable although bathroom was a little small. It was perfect for an overnight stay before an early flight!

If you have a room near the highway a bit noisy! Rather choose a room in the middle of the hotel. Lot a restaurant you could walk Appreciate the 5 to 7 offered (3 drinks)

I booked The Pear Inn for our last night of a five-day trip because it was only five minutes from the airport and offered a free shuttle to the airport, and I wasn’t disappointed! The property was beautiful and inviting, with a cozy lounge area where I enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine in the lounge to watch the Dodgers play. They offer a great breakfast (though we missed it with our early flight),it was listed to serve biscuits and gravy, potatoes, bacon and eggs, plus 24/7 soda machine. They gave voucher for ea guest for free snacks, and drinks in the evening - I think 5pm-7pm. The room was interesting—small, with a cool, edgy style that reminded me of an old dorm room, with unique wood finishes. It was cozy, but the bathroom setup was unusual. It was almost RV-sized, with a super-low ceiling and a tiny shower (I could touch the ceiling, and I'm only 5’2”). The sink was outside the bathroom, and there was not much room between the door and toilet. The shower was fine good hot water and good pressure. but it worked out fine for a quick stay. The pool looked clean and sparkly I wish I had time to take a dip. The shuttle service was on point, it runs from 4am-1am I believe and it’s FREE. It will also take you within a mile radius for FREE. And the driver was fantastic. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Overall, it was a solid stay with great amenities and a cool vibe, perfect for a quick stopover.

Your location is very convenient. The bed was quite comfy. The breakfast was OK, nothing special. It was a bit hard to find our way back to the lobby from our room. We suggest putting signs up to point the way back to the lobby. Thank you!

Everything was excellent but we did find some hairs in the shower.but whatever it was late we were tired and we just rinsed the corner of the shower so they can drain out.

Not what I expected

It had great reviews and I understand why. The desk clerk that checked me was very friendly and helpful. Explained where to park, what to look for , and offered any additional help if needed. And then gave my drink card that offered 3 free beers or wine and a lil snack. They had chips and salsa and cheese dip. And also offered free sodas as well. Unfortunately I missed the breakfast on my own fault. Only complaint I could make was the limited parking and the one way in and out. But nothing worth giving a bad review. Even when it was 11 to check out. They knocked on my door to remind me and even offered an extra hour to check out if needed it. Definitely found my place to stay from now on.

It was okay that one way in one way out is annoying. The staff was very nice though.

An all around enjoyable stay. Clean and conveniently located to shopping and restaurants we wanted to try. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tasty breakfast with plenty of options. Kick back hour is a nice way to unwind after a busy day of shopping. Overall, a good value for your money.

I was able to leave my car for the week I was gone out of town. Shuttle service took my to the airport and dropped me off from the airport upon arrival. Staff was great as were the accommodations and closeness to the airport!!

Fine hotel for the price, no complaints other than the elevator was a little hard to find and the free breakfast is okay, but food quality just fair.

15 year anniversary trip.

Great time, very clean and friendly staff. Rooms were small but had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing. Great options and soda fountain was extra special. Parking lot felt safe and secure.

Would stay again

Enjoyed my stay, the only thing was that room service was always too early for us and the elevated was very dirty. The room was nice and big, very quiet, except for the sofa bed in the room that my son used. That thing was squeaky as hell. He couldn't turn around without it making so much noise

They serve drinks from 5:30-7:00 PM. But I suggest to make the time longer.

A good economic 3 star hotel. It’s an old facility that has gotten some renovation. For one night stay at this price and a decent breakfast, this is a choice. Situated close to the airport and restaurants and shopping with 5 minutes drive.

From the lobby, a small dog could be heard barking. Our room was next door. Why would anyone be assigned to the room next door????? I did request a room change but it came with a slow cooling a/c. The hotel remedy was a use of a fan and some monitoring from the front office.

Nice and comfortable hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the breakfast included and the Kick Back hour. We weren’t in our rooms much but I wish they would have had smart TVs to be able to use our streaming services. Otherwise, great hotel and I’d definitely return.

Great place to stay

The hotel was very clean and safe. The staff was very professional and courteous.The free drinks and snacks was a plus. The free breakfast was better than most other hotels. The only issue was the restroom size in my double bed room, it was very small and I was the only one in the room.

After staying at your sister property a block away, Drury Inn, multiple times, with wonderful experiences, thought we'd have the same experience at Pear Tree. Had read the Pear Tree also offered happy hour drinks and food like Drury Inn; however, not the same. Only nachos, popcorn, pretzels and chips were offered. Only Bud Light and wine for happy hour drinks. Drury Inn offers a much wider variety of both hot food items and mixed drinks. I assume that is perhaps why there is a price difference. Having the happy hour is one of the main reasons we stay at Drury Inn, so we don't have to leave the hotel in the evenings. So next time we will pay just a few dollars more to have better options at the happy hour and covered parking. Pear Tree was okay, but was expecting the same experience as Drury Inn, so a little disappointed.

We have stayed at the pear tree several times. It’s a nice hotel with a friendly staff. The breakfast is very good and the evening reception is a nice addition. The only drawback is getting into the parking lot.

It was another great stay here. It is a super convenient location. The hotel is clean and quiet. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Great evening happy hour for drinks and snacks. Room has all the amenities that are needed, and the breakfast options are great.
