Great location. Room service was a disappointment though. The pictures on Expedia showed and described a room with a bath tub in the price point but I was told for the price I paid no tub came with the room?? The desk person was not accommodating to that at all. Patching and paint spots on the ceiling.
We were supposed to get buffet breakfast at the rooftop Darling bar as part of our reservation. We were informed breakfast hours ended at 11:30am and when we arrived at 10:55am ,the waiters said:” we ran out of food and coffee so there is nothing to eat here “. Very chaotic. Lots of guests grumbling and unhappy.
I requested an extra blanket, and it was there instantly. No waiting. Great service. The whole staff was happy and helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.
Well located next to a MTA station and Central Park, near great restaurants, museums, and theatres, you'll be well served to take advantage of this lovely venue. Rooms are relatively sizeable and if you can afford it the panoramic central park view rooms above the 36th floor give you fantastic scenery from Park Ave to Central Park West. The restaurants in the lobby floor and rooftop are high priced and there are much better menus at better prices within a few blocks. Great service as well as personable accomodating staff and if you have the gift of gab and some luck you might get a room upgrade.
I love everything
Wonderful!
You can’t beat the location- right on Central Park! It was easy to access the subway too. Great room and food for breakfast too.
The hotel staff are amazing. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Great location
Paid for a view but NO view
We came to stay from NCand wanted to see the park so paid for a park view. 2 of the 4 days you couldn’t even see outside due to frosting of the windows. This unfortunately made out room worth only as much as a non park view. They need to update to newer windows or refi d when they can’t deliver on what they are selling.
The property location was good but the property itself is subpar. 1. trust all the reviews about the elevator wait time. No matter what time of day, there was a min 10-15 min wait for the elevators. If you’re lucky enough to get one, prepare to be smushed with people also trying to get down to the lobby. It stops on every floor and everyone was so frustrated with the wait time they would just stuff in the elevator even with absolutely no space to move. 2. Two of the mornings we were woken up at 7am with the foul smell of rotten garlic from the vents in the room. 3. The rooms were fine but for the price point, it was average at best. While the hotel location is nice, you can get a much better experience and comfortable stay elsewhere. We will not be returning.
Great stay as always!
Great location. Few in room amenities.
Spacious room size. Great location. Friendly and accommodating staff. Family friendly! Great stay
I stayed here for the location and they dis not disappoint. The Central Park view every morning was amazing. I ordered in a lot and the food was great and timely and the staff or servers were darlings. Housekeeping was sweet and pleasant and helpful The ease of this location was around everything and I loved it !!
Stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon, had a lovely room overlooking central park. Perfect location
The hotel is well situated for walks through Central Park and easy access to MTA. Several good restaurants are nearby and only a short walk to shopping. It can be noisy with traffic sounds from 59th Street penetrating the non-soundproof windows even on upper floors. Staff is courteous but the upgrades promised are often not available.
First class. Fantastic view of Central Park. I’ll be back!
We always liked the convenience of the hotel and always loved the view from the restaurant at breakfast on the second floor but they changed the location of that restaurant and now it doesn’t have a view which was very disappointing.
Great location, excellent in-hotel dining/drink options; clean rooms!
Worst hotel ever!
This was incredibly disappointing. I expected a high end hotel and found it was a crowded, low end hotel. The room was tired and the windows so d I thought every honk was inside our room. The bedding was horrible- no proper comforter and no additional blanket in the room. They provided no waters and no amenities in the bathroom. I got room service for breakfast and the “poached eggs” were hard boiled. I want my money back!!
Great hotel
Beautiful property and great location. Very comfortable and rooms are larger than expected.
For $1000 a night I was expecting more - overall it was nice but there were fixtures in my room (framing around the headboard and wall) that was detached and kind of janky looking. There also was no desk or table, only a swivel chair even though there was plenty of space, which made eating my late night meal difficult. The noise from the other rooms was also very loud and the wait for elevators was 15-20 mins during busy times of the day.
We have stayed at the park Lane hotel in the past but this was my first time to stay there in quite a while. This staff was very friendly; the Bellman was helpful and patient, and we had a courteous housekeeper. The negatives were that elevators were very slow and at times only one or two were seeming to operate. With over 30 floors I understand that elevators take a long time, but more than two should be working. The bathroom was clean, but not immaculate. I had a little mold in the bathtub. Also the bathtub and shower were very awkward to operate. The robes were a nice amenity and I enjoyed wearing them because the room was very cold and it took a while to heat up. :) overall I would recommend this hotel but just know that there are a few little quirks here and there. For the price you pay for the room so, it would’ve been nice to have a few more amenities like a larger fridge for leftovers and individual shampoo, etc. If you’re taking a bath, you cannot reach any of the shower amenities because they are shoulder height
Best value on the park by far, love it, amazing views, even the east side city view rooms you can see the whole east side of the park
Excelent
Stay Here!!
Amazing! Shout out to the staff and Claudette who was amazing and took care of us while we were there, much love from Texas!
This is centrally located property to the park Did not like the demonstration by Palestine protesters at the door this AM. Shower wand did not work it was broke at the plastic connection
Just location
Front desk personnel not friendly, as usual Room had debris from prior guest There was no hand soap, Kleenex nor hangers!!! The mini fridge was not cooling Already looking for another hotel for my next stay in NY
Sk
Great location!
Breakfast on the Terrace was extraordinarily expensive.
Disappointed
Just so disappointing. The wait for an elevator was beyond ridiculous…the line wrapped around the lobby. I felt like I was in a can of sardines the whole trip. Used to be one of my favorite hotels…will never stay there again. The restaurant was a joke…poorly managed. Just can’t say anything good except it is a good location.
disappointed at the property and the service. The room was dirty and smelled like sewage. sink was cloaged.service delayed timing. requested to change the room but never happened.
Fantastic view of Central Park!
great spot - amazing location and good value
Excellent hotel
Check in was fast and easy. We forgot toothpaste, they gave us a small tube for free. Staff was very friendly.. You must go to roof top bar.. unique drinks. But the view of the city is amazing. We stayed in room 3116. For some reason the bed was missing the bed spacer, so the mattress was very low to the floor. The coffee bar staff on the first floor in the morning made coffee drinking fun..
Park Lane NYC - good location
This hotel is in a good location for theater or shopping. While it’s on older property, it has been refreshed nicely. The biggest challenge is the elevators. On high traffic time you might wait 5 cycles, as there is no room on stopping cars and you stop on every floor on the way down. Definitely get a park view room, that’s the best feature of this hotel.
The hotel was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the restaurants, and the view of central park was beautiful.
Lovely hotel with a modern take on classic decor. It was so quiet inside the room! I have to give a special shout out to the Bellman/Porter Mr. John, who made us feel so welcome and shared great info and recommendations around the area. The rooftop bar is nice as well.
Always a pleasure! 5 Star Staff & Service
Love this hotel
The hotel is very lovely, and the public spaces are wonderful since the upgrade. There are a few things that would make a huge difference to the guest's experience. The bathroom looks lovely, but these suggestions would make it truly 5 star; brighter light, a shelf and a hook, a non-slip pad in the shower (the marble floor is terrorizing), a lighted magnifying mirror all other hotels have these. Why a fridge that doesn't work, take it away or fill it up. The sofa and side chair although cute to look at weren't very comfortable to sit in. Furniture with a higher back would be better. I wonder if the manager ever stays for a few days in the hotel rooms, with clothes and makeup for a trip? All the staff were amazing everyone was willing to help us they were accommodating, polite and lovely which is not the way the Park Lane use to be. We were guest on a very busy weekend no one seemed overwhelmed. One place that was overwhelmed was the elevator!!! OMG everyone was moaning about the card not taking the number. You know it is a problem that has to be fixed. I will be shocked if there is any response from the powers that be not AI to this email. Thank you for letting me vent, Michelle Sandler 5 nights at the hotel
Great
Wonderful hotel. Great location
Great location, great hotel, great staff. We will be back!!!!!!
Loved our stay at Park Lane New York! Room was beautiful, super clean with an amazing view overlooking Central Park.
It is my best in manhattan. Rooms perfect clean and comfortable. The view amazing. Contemplation and meditation in the room imparable. Love to come back
Love it
Was very excited to stay here. When you first walk in the lobby was very nice we checked in with easy got to our room. But the first thing we noticed was dirty carpets an stained furniture. For the cost of this hotel I expect much better cleanliness was definitely not a priority here.
Only complaint is the cleaning staff knocked on our door 2 times trying to clean our room before 10:00 the morning of our checkout at 11:00 even though the hotel asked me to text them when we are out of the room.
You only pay for the view, nothing else. Can’t believe I paid $1,300 to stay at a motel-quality hotel for one night. The price is outrageous for what you get. They don’t have the basics– coffee pot, tea bags, wine opener, wine glasses.. the fridge barely kept the liquid cold.. the interior is very outdated and the suade couches smelled. I will not be staying here again but the view was beautiful. That’s it.
Unfriendly staff
We loved our fantastic view of Central Park from our room on an upper floor. We watched the leaves change color every day we were there. Also, we found the Rose a great alternative for breakfast allowing us to grab a quick bite from the counter. The staff was very nice.
We have been to the Park Lane several times before their latest renovation. The highlight of our stay was alwsys having breakfast in their beautiful second floor dining room that overlooks Central Park. That no longer exists and breakfast now was extremely disappointing. The choice is to eat at the z”Grab and Go” on the main floor or the second floor dining room or the 46th floor room with a great view of the city biut only a small buffet. To get to the 46th floor room you have to walk up 2 long staircases which will be very difficult for older people. We chose the second floor dining and had the worst breakfast ever at a hotel. The sevice was incredibly bad and the food was worse. We will never stay at this hotel again
Stay away
No way to control room temp. No ice No straight answers from anyone horrible food at all hotel restaurants
Excellent hotel with beautiful views of the park
Great rooms/bathrooms and showers. Very attentive staff.
I loved how beautiful it is and clean and the bar was very nice The staff were very friendly
It is located in a World Elite Location, It lacked an interactive function to view room expenses and checkout from the Video room technology.
Excellent customer service and perfect location across from Central Park.
.
Wonderful staff and amazing location. Walkable to Times Square, broadway, and obviously Central Park!
Happy with our stay.
Compare to price service was poor
Big fan!
Hotel was extremely packed, seemed like everyone in New York was staying there. The rooftop was was not only for guest, like mentioned online. People constantly in the lobby and the elevators took no less than 10 minutes every single use. The views were beautiful and the location was amazing. The staff could have been friendlier. We chose this hotel because of the location and rooftop bar, the location was the best for the price, just seemed very packed and overcrowded.
Dated. No air conditioning.
Solid location, and spacious rooms. Air vents very loud and didn’t sleep well. Rough around the edges, needs refurb for $900pn room charge. Downstairs cafe was excellent and friendly staff.
The view of Central Park sold me
Loved all aspects
I liked the size of the rooms and the cleanliness
Fantastic location and room view overlooking Central Park was just beautiful. Staff are really nice and helpful. Property itself could do with some updating - paint chips all over the room, airconditoner was temperamental, behind the bed was dusty.
Good enough for 2 nights
The room was ready early when we thought we’d be just checking our bags so that was nice. There’s no fan in the bathroom so there were several spots in ceiling affected by moisture. The shower was stopped up so standing in a pool by the end. No matter how low we put the A/C the temp stayed the same. I thought the pillows were very uncomfortable but the kids liked them. Had leftovers from very expensive dinner thought could put in the fridge but it’s only made to hold a couple bottles- not deep enough. Really would’ve liked coffee maker in room too. Who wants to get dressed and put on makeup and go out to get a sip of caffeine? Despite those couple inconveniences very nice to look out window and see trees and staff super friendly. And for the location it’s a value.
Very good hotel
Get a Park View room - you’ll never look back. Pure NY at its elite finest!!
Good location.
No coffee nor tea inside the room for guest convienience. No ice machine anywhere. Have to get from the bar a glass at a time. Expensive room rate but decorate with chipped ceramic basket on the table
Our stay was perfect for what we needed, as we had a show and dinner nearby. Room was comfy, large by NYC standards. Missed having coffee in the room. Found hotel dining to be lacking, either a basic bar area or the rooftop facility, which was difficult to access in the evening and ridiculously expensive for breakfast. Fortunately there are plenty of options nearby.
A space heater was offered so that my room could be warmer than 69 degrees. I believe that statement speaks for itself.
We will never go back there, ever again. The room was small, damaged walls and furniture. No desk for a computer. Staff rude. I can't believe they charge more than a thousand dollars for a room like that. Had to chnge hotel and loose our money.
Location is great. Would have liked extra chair in room, and coffee maker.
great location, pretty room. the bathroom could use a better shower, gets wet all around.
Great experience
I LIKED THAT PLACE VERY MUCH! THE VIEW TO THE CENTRAL PARK! THE SUITE ROOM WAS PERFECT!VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF!
Beautiful!
Amazing
This is my second visit. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The location and view was perfect.
Everything was amazing
Our go to hotel for NYC.
Always a nice room with a park View!
The rooms ending in 07 are near the elevator wall, you can hear the elevator noises all night. This was during US Open and I could not sleep well. We also noticed the rug in the room was worn out not cleaned, there were dry clean pins next to the bed and a hair tie on the bathroom floor. This hotel has potential, but it needs improvements.
Late checkout was awesome!
Rochelle is the best at helping and all staff
Overall an ok hotel. Rooms were clean but small. Our room lacked a desk or sitting chairs. Good location near CP. Bell staff were hard to find.
Beautiful facility with rooftop bar/restaurant & amazing view of Central Park! Excellent service from all of the staff. Definitely will come back!
It was the stay of dreams. The Central Park view was to die for
Incredible views and service… music in the lounge was great
The room I reserved was unavailable and I found this out upon check in. I was unable to share a room with my sister and her daughters as planned.
