Convenient comfortable
Wonderful and unique.
Great location, the room has a good amount of space, only the bathroom and shower are a bit tight, but all the spaces are very well utilized. I would definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit to the city.
The hotel need a renovation. The bathroom is getting old with some cracks in the wall.
Quick weekend
We’ve stayed at park lane many times but not since the latest renovations were complete. We really enjoyed the rooftop bar Darling. My only complaint is that the fitness center is hot and there is only 1 elliptical machine. Our room was spacious and we had a view of Central Park.
Great location! Close to everything!
Great place to stay!
Had a wonderful time in NY! Park Lane is a fabulous hotel! Very clean!
Great location, friendly staff, close walking distance to just about everything
Superb location and great staff
Park Lane is centrally located and is minutes away many high end retailers. For majority of my first night the heat in the room did not work, which led to the room feeling like a meat locker. Staff had to visit twice for it to work correctly. Overall, aside from the hiccup above, it’s a good hotel.
Great location with wonderful views of Central Park. Easy parking, welcoming staff and pleasant room.
Unique interior decor and friendly staff.
I never got a receipt. They said printer was out of ink and would email it to me. I never got it. The windows were dirty, very poor lighting in bath, light in headboard difficult to figure out how to turn off, sparce furnishings and poor decorating.

Great stay and perfect location
Park Lane is one of my favorite hotels to stay at. It is decorated nicely and is in the perfect location. I find the staff helpful and courteous. The rooms are spacious and the view of Central Park is picture perfect.
So old and dirty
The hotel location is excellent. However, I highly believe in service. We had several situation where we called guest services and no one picked up the phone. We even spoke directly to the front desk requesting turn down service only to come back to the room and find it was not done. There were a few other situations such as clogged sink, and Ac not working. Overall, I don’t think it’s being managed as a 5 star hotel.
Great location. Large rooms. Really nice and friendly staff
Beautiful hotel, great location and amazing staff
I love the location. The staff was outstanding. We enjoyed breakfast at Calverts. The only problem that we had with the hotel is that it is very loud. We were woken several times by people who were shutting their doors. We were also woken by children running the hallways at 12 midnight.
Park Lane is my new favorite hotel in NY! Spacious room in a prime location. On site amenities are fantastic and staff is exceptional. Highly recommend!
Asked room service for two champagne flutes and a bucket of ice and was met with an extremely rude response; I understand it is Valentine's Day and we accepted the 45 minute wait, but those items never even came. The elevator situation was horrendous - 6 elevator banks and only 3 worked.
There is no plus of Expedia vip member
Beautiful hotel! Excellent staff at the restraints
Ready to come back....
Great location, great hospitality and food! I visit New York 5-6 times a year for business, while this was my first stay it won't be my last!
Wonderful hotel in NYC
This one of our favorite hotels in NYC. My only issue is they do not have enough staff working the phones for reservations.
I went upstairs to the Darling Happy Hour and was not given a table top available for two because “it was going to be used with a reservation in 15 minutes” that did not occur and I felt being alone was not being respected - I did not get the discount on my breakfast meal that was supposed to be given as VIP access
My reservation was for three rooms for ourselves and our daughters and for a higher level hotel, there was no coffee maker in the rooms. That is a minor compared to the shower floor in the bathroom. The floor was very slippery and had no mat to prevent falls. The design of the shower enclosure was very strange with the almost unreachable hole in the glass to turn the shower on and off and the half glass which caused water to spray out onto the floor. In one of the rooms we had, when the water in the bathtub was turned on, it came out of the faucet brown, as if the water had not been used in months. This particular room had two queen beds, priced at $400.00 per day, so you would expect clean water.
Yes
Not convenient
This hotel has a great reputation although I have not faced that kind of hospitality. The A/C was very noisy not convenient, not even cooling woke me up couple of times at night. The furniture was used a lot and a bit damaged and I wonder why the amount i paid was for what!? I tried to explain the situation with the front desk manager, he was tight enough with the rules and the restrictions, and when it came to my complain he was only sorry about it and wished me a great day!! Is that how you please your guests?
Everything
Great hotel for sure will only stay there from Now on
Well located hotel with a very friendly staff.
Very friendly and courteous staff.
The room had a curtain that didn't close fully; the fridge door was also broken. The staff are arrogant to the point they don't help and they try always to refer you to someone else who's not helpful too
The property is woefully dated and worn. At the peak Christmas season 2 elevators were out of order. The remaining elevators could take in excess of 20-25 minutes to make it to your floor. I walked down 24 flights each time rather than wait. The furniture was worn, the towels were worn, the carpet was stained and had cigarette burns. there was no clock in the room, no robe or slippers as promised, no bottled water as promised, no flowers or pictures as advertised. The bright spot was the view of the park. The breakfast buffet was nice, and complimentary champagne during happy hour was a nice touch. I would definitely not rate this a 4 star hotel, or even a 3 star due to the run down condition
The Park Lane is truly a gem! We upgraded to a Park View room and seeing the sun rise over the park each morning was a treat. Proximity to several trains and the iconic Central Park made getting around a breeze. And PL’s rooftop bar, Darling, is so beautiful! We had the best trip!!
All things were excellent
Lovely accommodations, views were amazing. Staff was excellent. Location was perfect.
I went for my 30th birthday. I would have to say for the price our room was not nice. Location was lovely but the hotel room was not nicely decorated. It was unfortunate as it was a good size for nyc but I’d rather stay in a smaller, nicer room than my room here.
Strongly recommended. Very good service!
Very good and great location
location was great. felt safe in and around the hotel style of hotel was very artsy and unique which my family loved. staff was all very helpful and friendly
Our room had a spectacular park view from the 37th floor. It was clean, spacious enough, the bed was comfortable with lots of pillows, and the bathroom was nice and clean as well. I've stayed in more expensive places in Manhattan that had none of those positives. Yeah, the elevator situation can be annoying at times. We just figured out when the peak elevator use times were and avoided them, simple enough. The room service we ordered from the hotel restaurant was truly amazing. We were not expecting such a fairly priced and high quality menu for room service and we were pleasantly surprised! All of the staff with whom we interacted were great folks, and the morning coffee/espresso at the lobby bar was very convenient and superb. Will gladly make this my go-to Midtown hotel.
Great staff and excellent customer service.
A surprisingly affordable semi-luxury hotel on central park south. Great location. Very friendly staff, rooms were simple but clean and modern. Very crowded on a holiday weekend with the lobby packed with people and stored luggage. But no one goes to NYC to sit in a hotel room. Great value and great location. I would definitely return.
Good service
The only reason I would stay here again is because of the location being across from Central Park, otherwise wouldn’t stay here again especially for the $$$$ - “It’s all about location” The bed was comfortable though and considering it was only for a night, it did the job.
Love staying here. This time was a little off. Room wasn’t stacked with usual amenities, had to call while rushed to leave, took 3 phone calls, room service food was well below this hotel’s standards. Hopefully just a blip on the radar.
Park Lane Xmas stay
Great location, excellent service. Highly recommend
The PL staff (from the doorman to the housekeeping) was AMAZING. I have stayed with you over the years and it is still outstanding. We snacked and drank alot in downstairs bar. Service and food was amazing!! We should have stayed there for NYE. The only (-) was The Darling NYE Party. Not worth the money, terrible communication of what it offered. Manager and FOH Staff were clueless and the few bites of food were not good. Bartenders were serving good drinks but we paid for more.... Well Done Park Lane but get the future party tickets in order!
The hotel is beautiful, in a great area right on the park. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The room are well decorated, super comfortable and have lovely bathroom products.
New Years Eve trip
Absolutely lovely stay. Able to check in early, I think as VIP. Room so lovely and comfy. Great views of the park. Gym moved into bigger area and all worked great. Environmentally friendly hotel, refillable bottles for water. No plastic in sight. My second time at this hotel. Highly recommend
We loved our stay at this lovely hotel in a great location. The staff was welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend it.
Very friendly staff, convenient location , great roof top!
Lovely Hotel.
Lovely hotel. Great service checking in. Perfect location for walking.
Love the location! Walkable around 5th Ave shops. Felt safe in the area and plenty of restaurants in walking distance
Rooms were clean, comfortable beds, and quiet for sleeping at night. Rooftop bar was wonderful. Staff were very accommodating and helpful! Great location!
Excellent
It was perfect stay at Park Lane Hotel. Great located, amazing view on Central Park and very kind and helpfull staff:) Especially I appreciate that they make our anniversary stay unique and welcomed us with nice gift:) We can fully recommend Park Lane Hotel during stay in NY!
Room was average and a little aged. View was incredible. Room would not cool below 74 degrees. When brought to the attention of the hotel manager, they said they have the AC turned off in the wintertime. It was 49-55 degrees outside, and we could NOT get our room cooler than 74 degrees. We were told they would give us a fan or to open out windows to cool it down. We had to open the windows and prop a fan in front of it to cooli it down only 2 degrees, and at the same time deal with the loud noises from outside. Very hard to sleep in this environment. For a $700/night room, I expected much more. Also, while at the hotel bar, my wife and I were waited on, given water and then completely ignored as the bartender spent her time socializing with the other hotel staff. This hotel is well overpriced to not have any AC available. Highly suggest not staying here as there are better choices at this price point.
Room Order breakfast not good
Rooms run down. Paint peeling off walls, carpets dirty. No amenities is room. No coffee maker or kettle for tea. No amenities in bathrooms ( no cotton pads, qtips, shower cap etc) Very disappointing for such an expensive hotel.
Needs a refresh of the remodel. Scuffs and scratches everywhere.
Loved this hotel and can’t wait to be back! Our Central Park view from our room was breathtakingly beautiful!!
Everything is good except no coffee maker in the room.
Fantastic location. Services were uneven, some staffs were excellent, others not so much. At over 900$ a night, the hotel has no complimentary tea nor Coffee anywhere ( in room or in the lobby). Complimentary bottles of water missing more than half of the days we were there.
The room I reserved was unavailable and I found this out upon check in. I was unable to share a room with my sister and her daughters as planned.
Great location. Room service was a disappointment though. The pictures on Expedia showed and described a room with a bath tub in the price point but I was told for the price I paid no tub came with the room?? The desk person was not accommodating to that at all. Patching and paint spots on the ceiling.
We were supposed to get buffet breakfast at the rooftop Darling bar as part of our reservation. We were informed breakfast hours ended at 11:30am and when we arrived at 10:55am ,the waiters said:” we ran out of food and coffee so there is nothing to eat here “. Very chaotic. Lots of guests grumbling and unhappy.
I requested an extra blanket, and it was there instantly. No waiting. Great service. The whole staff was happy and helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.
Well located next to a MTA station and Central Park, near great restaurants, museums, and theatres, you'll be well served to take advantage of this lovely venue. Rooms are relatively sizeable and if you can afford it the panoramic central park view rooms above the 36th floor give you fantastic scenery from Park Ave to Central Park West. The restaurants in the lobby floor and rooftop are high priced and there are much better menus at better prices within a few blocks. Great service as well as personable accomodating staff and if you have the gift of gab and some luck you might get a room upgrade.
I love everything
Wonderful!
You can’t beat the location- right on Central Park! It was easy to access the subway too. Great room and food for breakfast too.
The hotel staff are amazing. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Great location
Paid for a view but NO view
We came to stay from NCand wanted to see the park so paid for a park view. 2 of the 4 days you couldn’t even see outside due to frosting of the windows. This unfortunately made out room worth only as much as a non park view. They need to update to newer windows or refi d when they can’t deliver on what they are selling.
The property location was good but the property itself is subpar. 1. trust all the reviews about the elevator wait time. No matter what time of day, there was a min 10-15 min wait for the elevators. If you’re lucky enough to get one, prepare to be smushed with people also trying to get down to the lobby. It stops on every floor and everyone was so frustrated with the wait time they would just stuff in the elevator even with absolutely no space to move. 2. Two of the mornings we were woken up at 7am with the foul smell of rotten garlic from the vents in the room. 3. The rooms were fine but for the price point, it was average at best. While the hotel location is nice, you can get a much better experience and comfortable stay elsewhere. We will not be returning.
Great stay as always!
Great location. Few in room amenities.
Spacious room size. Great location. Friendly and accommodating staff. Family friendly! Great stay
I stayed here for the location and they dis not disappoint. The Central Park view every morning was amazing. I ordered in a lot and the food was great and timely and the staff or servers were darlings. Housekeeping was sweet and pleasant and helpful The ease of this location was around everything and I loved it !!
Stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon, had a lovely room overlooking central park. Perfect location
The hotel is well situated for walks through Central Park and easy access to MTA. Several good restaurants are nearby and only a short walk to shopping. It can be noisy with traffic sounds from 59th Street penetrating the non-soundproof windows even on upper floors. Staff is courteous but the upgrades promised are often not available.
First class. Fantastic view of Central Park. I’ll be back!
We always liked the convenience of the hotel and always loved the view from the restaurant at breakfast on the second floor but they changed the location of that restaurant and now it doesn’t have a view which was very disappointing.
Great location, excellent in-hotel dining/drink options; clean rooms!
Worst hotel ever!
This was incredibly disappointing. I expected a high end hotel and found it was a crowded, low end hotel. The room was tired and the windows so d I thought every honk was inside our room. The bedding was horrible- no proper comforter and no additional blanket in the room. They provided no waters and no amenities in the bathroom. I got room service for breakfast and the “poached eggs” were hard boiled. I want my money back!!
Great hotel
Beautiful property and great location. Very comfortable and rooms are larger than expected.
For $1000 a night I was expecting more - overall it was nice but there were fixtures in my room (framing around the headboard and wall) that was detached and kind of janky looking. There also was no desk or table, only a swivel chair even though there was plenty of space, which made eating my late night meal difficult. The noise from the other rooms was also very loud and the wait for elevators was 15-20 mins during busy times of the day.
We have stayed at the park Lane hotel in the past but this was my first time to stay there in quite a while. This staff was very friendly; the Bellman was helpful and patient, and we had a courteous housekeeper. The negatives were that elevators were very slow and at times only one or two were seeming to operate. With over 30 floors I understand that elevators take a long time, but more than two should be working. The bathroom was clean, but not immaculate. I had a little mold in the bathtub. Also the bathtub and shower were very awkward to operate. The robes were a nice amenity and I enjoyed wearing them because the room was very cold and it took a while to heat up. :) overall I would recommend this hotel but just know that there are a few little quirks here and there. For the price you pay for the room so, it would’ve been nice to have a few more amenities like a larger fridge for leftovers and individual shampoo, etc. If you’re taking a bath, you cannot reach any of the shower amenities because they are shoulder height
Best value on the park by far, love it, amazing views, even the east side city view rooms you can see the whole east side of the park
Excelent
Stay Here!!
Amazing! Shout out to the staff and Claudette who was amazing and took care of us while we were there, much love from Texas!
This is centrally located property to the park Did not like the demonstration by Palestine protesters at the door this AM. Shower wand did not work it was broke at the plastic connection
Just location
Front desk personnel not friendly, as usual Room had debris from prior guest There was no hand soap, Kleenex nor hangers!!! The mini fridge was not cooling Already looking for another hotel for my next stay in NY
