Luxury stay close to Shinjuku. Amazing view. Fantastic service. Only downside is that the on-site restaurants need to be booked in advance, depending on the season.
This hotel has amazingly views. Rooms are big. I loved Park Hyatt Tokyo.
Aging, but still full of grace
This hotel is showing its age, but will soon shut down for a refurbishment. Despite parts already closed, such as the famous New York bar, the hotel won us over with the staff's excellent attention to detail and helpfulness. Nothing beats the views, food, and class of this place, even as the furniture is definitely starting to look 20 years old.
Lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Attention to details in defining excellence is an understatement of monumental proportions to express what a superb experience staying at park Hyatt Tokyo hotel is.
Superior placen to stay in Tokyo
Very good
The view on the 49th floor was unbelievable an the restaurants were very delicious.
We loved our stay here! The staff were fantastic and very attentive. The check in experience was great and Yuko Usami was particularly helpful and welcoming. The views from our room was wonderful and we would definitely stay here again!
Sad to find no indoor area for smokers, unless booking a smoking room which wouldn’t have made my partner happy, however she adores the baths. Staff super friendly. Not received an email confirmation of charges prior to being charged at checkout. Pool area fabulous.
Nice.
Not a good property for turists. Lack of concierge team or staff with local knowledge. I couldbt ger help arranging anything.
The hotel was best and the staff was incredible
Amazing 3 night experience for us - family with two girls at end of Japan trip. Great staff service, excellent breakfast and views like few other hotels in the location. Room for 4 was great in space and amenities albeit sleeping arrangements a bit snug so two adults in a small double and our daughters in a small double and single - I.e. two small doubles and a single to share. New York grill was superb but for a little under £600 the New York strip steak was way under quality expectations, we had three and they were all poor so nothing rogue. Kobe steak was amazing, as was the restaurant and the band. All in all amazing, will go back when refurbished (staff say they are hoping for a start next year - 2024). I guess you want close to perfection at such an iconic hotel.
Excellent customer service, great location, wonderful views, excellent food, hands down it was an amazing experience from the beginning of our stay until check out, would definitely stay again, exceeded all expectations. Have stayed at high end hotels when traveling and this one did not disappoint in ANYWAY. Traveled with my 2 teenage daughters and toddler.
Excellent in every way!
Amazing
Very rare I leave a rating but the excellence of this hotel compelled me to do so. From the moment you walk up to the entrance to the moment you leave, they make you feel special and it’s constant. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in
Great hotel
The property and service is exceptional! The view is outrageous! We saw Mt Fuji from our room, and the night view of the city skyline is worth a million $. Well worth it! Best way to wrap up our trip!
Lovely place to stay. Great to be high up - the views are amazing! The area is very safe but most of the bars etc. are a bit of a walk away. Not a problem in itself but worth noting for planning. Only downside we found was the service was a little impersonal. We had a meal in the main bar/restaurant up top and it just felt a bit clinical. It was busy and lively but it felt transactional and impersonal. Lovely food so perhaps being a little unfair. Would recommend the whole hotel.
It's a good hotel, the rooms are quite old and in dire need of renovation. The air conditioning in my room did not work, housekeeping was able to provide me with a room fan to help cool the room but at this price point that should not be a solution. The staff at the hotel did their best to make my stay a good one, but the hard product is an issue.
Great place. Great people
Excellent stay
Great
This was such an amazing stay. The staff were wonderful and it was an unforgettable experience.
Perfect stay. Top notch place.
The staff were so wonderful!!! They upgraded my room to a premium suite and I ended up in the same suite they used to film “Lost in Translation” which is one of my favorite movies!! I was so happy!!!
Lived up to my expectations. Cannot beat that view !!
It is possibly the best hotel on Earth. Not much more I can add to that. A
Amazing enclave of tranquility
I mean, what do you say about such an amazing hotel! From the moment of check-in (which was done in our room) we were very well looked after. The most amazing thing about this hotel is the tranquility in the midst of such a busy urban centre. And the bar(s) are perfect for a nightcap. Basically checked every box for a perfect introduction to Tokyo!
Amazing view and night skyline of the city, delicious room service, deep soaking tub and the most comfortable bed! Staff were very courteous and friendly. The Jazz bar was also a nice place to stop into.
Lovely
Best hotel I’ve stayed at in Tokyo, especially for my needs as an American.
We loved our room, the pool/gym, and the staff! The views were breathtaking from our room…could see Mt. Fugi.
Not
Outstanding hotel with amazing service.
It was amazing!!
The hotel was very quiet due to corona not many guests in house. The check in staff tried to sell me an extra 10 sq meters room for extra? Why not just upgrade as it would be a plus for me wanting to come back again..
An amazing hotel experience! Impeccable service from start to finish, comfortable room with breathtaking view of Tokyo, delicious cocktails at the New York Bar. Totally worth it!
As expected of a five-star property, everything exceeded expectations.
What you would expect from a very high priced hotel.
Three words: Lost in Translation It is so awesome to take time in the building that is the set for one my favorite movies.
The service was amazing! Everyone was so helpful and anticipated our needs before we even asked. We celebrated a birthday here and when we got back to our room they had chocolate and flowers!
This hotel is so iconic and yet manages to deliver fabulous service without arrogance. Staff are polite and efficient, the rooms have amazing views and amenities
A beautiful hotel with magnificent views and excellent service.
Best Service Hotel
Park Hyatt Tokyo has the BEST service! They went above and beyond and helped us through a pinch of time. We sent a package of very valuable things through Fedex and it took a day longer in customs. We almost didn’t get our package and we needed it to arrive during our stay. Park Hyatt has someone go to Fedex an hour before they closed and picked it up for us. A huge lifesaver.
I had picked to stay in Park Hyatt this trip as it’s located in Shinjuku which will be more convenient for me. However, the room that I booked looked really old and doesn’t justify the amount I had paid given that it’s not cheap. I normally stay at Mandarin Oriental which never fails to give me an amazing experience. But Park Hyatt was a total disappointment that the room looked so old and definitely need a makeover. Service was average as I had experienced way better service in MO. I normally do not leave comments but I was too disappointed that the room looked so old and aesthetically displeasing. Will I be back again? NO
Very nice views and great design. Service is excellent so long axx SSA you don’t ask them anything outside their rule book
Beautiful hotel, great restaurants and service. Staff is wonderful.
Beautiful hotel
Absolutely beautiful hotel but location not that convenient. 15 min walk from Shinjuku station which is very big and confusing. We got a bit lost finding hotel from train station after our very long flight. We spent a couple of nights there and a few nights in a different hotel near Tokyo station, it was a great way to do it!
Great hotel for a short stay
We stayed at the hotel for our first two nights in Tokyo before travelling to another part of japan and it was definitely a great way to start the holiday. Whilst there isn’t much going on in the immediate area around the hotel it’s only a 15 minute walk until your in bustling Shinjuku. The staff could not have been nicer and they made everything just that but simpler such as handling your luggage from the minute you arrive so you don’t have to worry about getting them to your room. The room was spacious with lots of nice touches and the view was spectacular. The pool was an amazing space and the bars were a great place to chill out in the evening. The only slight thing lacking was at breakfast where the choice was reasonable however it was a bit crowded and they needed a bigger or maybe two spaces to lay the options out.
Service was amazing. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The beds were firmer than we like and they added a topper and brought us extra pillows. The room was large and well appointed. It was so nice to come back to the comfort of our room after sight seeing every day! Would definitely stay there again!
Attentive staff, wonderful dining options, very good pool/fitness area.
The room is very nice and the staffs are very nice too However the breakfast in room service should include traditional Japanese style breakfast would be nice
Not lost in translation!
An awesome stay at an iconic hotel. Wonderful customer service, great views, a fantastic experience.
Oasis in the middle of Tokyo
This is a truly gorgeous hotel in every way. The room was huge and no detail was spared to make it comfortable and welcoming. The staff was attentive, helpful and very repsectful. The daily breakfast buffet was filled with Japanese and Western food and it was all delicious and fresh. And the views!! We walked the 0.5 miles to the Shinjuku station every day and could get anywhere easily and one day my friend and I walked to the Meji Shrine thru the garden close to the Park Hyatt which I strongly recommend.
Overall the Park Hyatt is impressive, although the quality of the rooms for a 5 Star Japanese hotel is average. The rooms need updated badly. Carpet is worn out and the furnishings are not great.
very nice hotel, well located in Tokyo. Amazing views from restaurants, pool, and suite. Will definitely come back.
There were a couple of staff who were really helpful. The croissants were good.
Great service with attention to detail. Food at Girandole and New York Grill are both amazing. Awesome views from rooms as well as restaurants
Everything is perfect. The only thing in which they can improve is the service in the Girandole is very slow.
Probably the best overall hotel stay we have ever experienced. The checkin was amazing - straight to room and it was like a well oiled machine. Everyone knew what they were doing and service was attentive and accomodating.
Great view. Excellent service. Rooms are amazing. It’s very expensive but you definitely get what you pay for here.
Staff very happy to help with any queries. Unfortunately it’s a little far to the station to walk all the time and the shuttle only starts at 9am.
Disappointed
Had a one night stay before our return flight felt the hotel looked tired in comparison to the other hotels on our trip. The bed was particularly hard and uncomfortable and was frayed at the edges. They encouraged paid upgrades on arrival which we did but on hindsight felt the room was not worth it. Think this hotel still relies on the hype from the film. But we did enjoy our meal at The New York Grill
Everything was extremely efficient and the staff went over and above to make sure your stay was exceptional.
Park Hyatt
Impeccable service.
Amazing hotel
We will be returning to the same hotel on our next visit to Tokyo.
Best stay in Tokyo
We absolutely loved our stay here. Everything is top notch and the service is unbeatable. We would definitely stay here again next time we come back.
Excellent service, large room, great view. One of a kind stay
Service could not have been better. We weren't happy with the first room we were put in (there was some window cleaning machinery in clear view out the window) but we asked to be moved and they were very accommodating and the room we ended up in was amazing. The concierge helped us with travel plans for our travels outside of Tokyo and was incredibly helpful and detail oriented, even accommodating last minute changes. The place is pricey but 100% worth it. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Great and expensive restaurants in the hotel. Nice jazz bar with great views. Quiet. Not close to subway, attractions, restaurants - I got the vibe of a businessperson hotel as opposed to tourist hotel
Friendly staff. Good location. Good selection of breakfast options. Would have just liked a more formal introduction to breakfast arrangements as it was not always clear where you should be sitting and what the menu options were.
A beautiful hotel. We will definitely stay here again.
Shinjuku area is pretty cool. Restaurants are excellent. Concierge and staff do a great job!
Overall a great hotel in Toyko
Fantastic views across the hotel, wonderful staff and gorgeous rooms.
EVERYTHING!! The way they treat you is nothing less than royalty. The staff are incredibly helpful, the food is such a treat, and the rooms and heated toilets make you never want to leave!
Shower room is way too small !
Amazing! Expensive but well worth it...breakfast each morning at the hotel was the best, very clean, modern, nice staff, perfect central location in Shinjuku, highly recommend!
Nyc bar and jazz singer Great breakfast View of mt. Fuji Near pit inn jazz club
Close to Shinjuku. Shuttle bus to the station at the front of the hotel every 15-20 minutes. Staff and service were fantastic and the Park Suite was amazing. A very comfortable stay! Breakfast buffet was pleasing too.
Space to relax in comfort and with privacy even when in common areas
The tidy of the room is excellent and helpfulness of the staff
The service is out of this world - cannot recommend this hotel enough.
Views, comfort, elegance, location..stay Here!
How can you not love this hotel? Total comfort, quiet elegance, great location. If you’ve seen ‘lost in translation’ you’ll be especially delighted!
Exceptional service and accommodating staff. The shuttle to the station is extremely useful and breakfast was delicious!
Very hospitable
The hotel and the staff was absolutely lovely. From the look I though the staff would be snobby as they often are at high end hotels, this was not the case at all. We walked in with our large backpacks and we were warmly greeted at the door, backpacks were whisked away to our room while we were seated for a seamless check in. Could not have been more happy with our stay and the warm and friendly staff. We look forward to future visits here next time we are in Tokyo.
Excellent hotel by far the best hotel I’ve ever been in
Perfect
perfect as always
Exceptional service and an outstanding experience
The level of service and attention by the team at Park Hyatt Tokyo is truly exceptional. Here are just a few examples of their care and thoughtfulness: - when we arrived coming in from the rain, the check in staff immediately brought towels and wiped down our luggage - our room was already prepared and ready for us to check in, even though we arrived early in the morning and not due to check in until early afternoon - fruit, dessert, and other amenities were frequently provided with turn-down service during our stay - the children were given gifts and also pyjamas to use during our stay Housekeeping was excellent and responsive, the shuttle service to Shinjuku station was always efficient and punctual. The level of service from the entire team made our family holiday in Tokyo very special, and we would like to send our thanks to the whole team, and also commend management on setting such high standards of service.
Great service
We had an amazing stay at the Park Hyatt. We were very well looked after. The rooms are unbelievable. They have great views over Tokyo but really the best bit about staying at the Park Hyatt is the unbeatable service. We were made to feel like our requests were important and everything was simply perfect. Nothing beats breakfast delivered to your room with a view of Mount Fuji while you eat.
The best Hyatt hotel I've stayed so far. Excellent service, great room with a fantastic view and very nice facilities (swimming pool, gym). Highly recommended if you are looking for a memorable and stress free experience.
The hospitality was fantastic. We arrived late in the evening, wet and cold from the rain, and were immediately offered towels and hot chocolate to dry off and warm up. The staff were always attentive and friendly. My children loved the kid-sized bathrobes and welcome gifts.
Great views, excellent staff, great location. Overall very impressed and would stay again!!
Great service and Great location. Would stay again.
Great room
Absolutely fantastic hotel and staff. Ambience, food and views are the best.
The views of Tokyo are really what makes this hotel so special. The rest is quite good, top of the line without a doubt, but you can get for $200 less in many other places. Sleeping with Tokyo at your feet is the differentiatior!
Comfortable and sleek hotel. The staff were fantastic. Good place to stay especially if you can get it without the high season/last min price.

Has stood the test of time! World class staff. Hopefully the renovation doesn’t lose the spirit!!!
