Very nice hotel. On the high end, not for average Joe…. The only reason I had chosen it was because I thought the Indian and Australian cricket teams would be staying there, but they were not…. Paid good money but did not get what I had hoped for ( my wrong presumption)…. Sofa bed was not good for my adult son…. Valet parking was $70.00 per night… so word to the wise, if you are not rich, it is not your place….

Service in the Radii restaurant was good but the food was slow arriving. Once the meals turned up they were very nice.

Luxury and comfort

Amazing stay in a gorgeous property. The Park Hyatt looked exactly like the images shown when booking. It is clean, comfortable, and has great facilities. The staff were impeccable, so welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The room was so clean and we had so much space (we booked a King room). The blockout blinds were so good for sleep in mornings, and the room itself was very quiet. Great water pressure in the shower, too. Our only criticisms are; the bed was not really comfortable as every little movement from the other person could be felt, so I woke up every time my partner shifted in their sleep, there was not a lot of shelf/drawer space in the huge wardrobe so we ran out of places to unpack things like underwear and shorts that didn't need to be hung up, and it would be great to have a few more hooks in the bathroom to hand toiletries bags, the hand towel, and hooks or rails closer to the shower for towels. Otherwise the hotel lived up to its 5 stars and we are already planning our next stay. The location was also perfect, far enough from the CBD to really feel like we could unwind, but close enough to walk into town. It is also close to stunning parklands and the Museum was a short 15 minute walk away.

Perfection, staff very friendly, very much enjoyed our stay.

Service was good. Breakfast buffet was great. Not really close to other food sources though. Very close to downtown but only walkable daily for some. Proximity to parks was great.

My son has a disability and wanted to stay at a nice hotel this fitted all our requirements He gets anxiety easily with large groups this helped up ease the tension the staff and facilities were fantastic Even the restraunt wasn’t to much for him thank you Park Hyatt

Superb staff, gorgeous room

I always love staying here. Helena at the spa was absolutely delightful and went out of her way to be helpful and kind, which was very good of her as I had a little tantrum when I found out the pool had closed at 8pm (sorry Helena). She was super nice that nice and the next day despite my petulance. All staff were great. Our room was sublime. We live in Melbourne but this hotel offers a staycation that really feels like a holiday.

Amazing! Love this hotel and the staff (especially Mr Walker!) They made me feel at home and that nothing was too much trouble. It is located on the outskirts of CBD but makes for a pleasant stroll down into the heart of Melbourne. My new favourite place to stay.

Great rooms and service!

Do Not Pay for a 'Deluxe King Room with View'

I paid extra for a 'Deluxe King Room with View' - the view outside the window was other rooms. When I called to complain, I was told the 'view' is only on availability, despite paying extra for it. No assistance or apology offered.

The service provided by all the staff at the Park Hyatt was incredible. Everyone was friendly, helpful and lovely to deal with. The room we stayed in was amazing, clean, spacious, classy interior and had a great view of the city. We were very lucky to have such a wonderful experience. We definitely be back!

Beautiful hotel. Very large rooms with the comfiest beds and quality linen. Lots of enjoyable extras like large bathtub (with tv in the bathroom). Good gym, lovely swimming pool with a view. Amazing buffet breakfast. Can't wait to stay again!

Touch of Luxury

Always a touch of luxury and feel spoiled when I stay here. Would pass on the buffet breakfast sadly very ordinary for the price better off ordering room service it looked great

10 star staff service

stars plus hotel. Rooms are spacious and luxurious. Old fashion style hotel service. Professional and courteous staff. Olivia at front desk made our check in so fast and we really appreciate it since we were extremely tired. After 6 days and 5 nights at Melbourne and we had a blast. It is a luxury hotel no doubt but its staff placing it in much higher rank. Room service gets 10 star. Doormen get 10 stars i just remember two names Tobi and Nathan and from the restaurant Nicolas. Thank you. Worth every penny. Love it

We mostly enjoyed our stay at the Park Hyatt. We especially enjoyed the quality and variety of food at the breakfast buffet. Our room was very large and comfortable. Just a few things that we didn't like that would not make it our first choice if we return to Melbourne. First, the hotel is a bit dated. In its heyday, I am sure it was glorious. Second, I didn't like that there was a window from the desk into the bathroom and another window from the outside behind the desk. Thought that was a rather odd design feature. Lastly, the hotel is a respite for maternity patients and their babies recovering after giving birth in the hospital. We were on the same floor and had nurses and doctors coming and going as well as family visits. I think that is a wonderful option for these new moms, however, I think the hotel should make an effort to separate the hotel guests from the patients. No one told us this was the case or gave us an option when we checked in. Kind of a weird vibe for me while I am on vacation ( I don't love hospitals) and maybe not the greatest for the new moms either.

Beautiful hotel with a great staff.

Old charm feeling of beauty when you enter the lobby of Hyatt Park. Quick and easy check in and out our last day sadly came to quick because there is so much to see and so in Melbourne.

The Park Hyatt has a great location. You can either walk to many places or take the free downtown tram. Our Corner suite was beautiful and the view was spectacular. The food we ordered from Room Service was mediocre. Other than that, I would highly recommend the hotel. I made a reservation for Valentine’s Day ahead of time, and the concierge was amazing and very prompt in responding to my concerns.

Nice quiet and upscale hotel. Beginning to feel dated but again very nice.

The good and the bad

My experience, on the whole, is very good. The only drawback is that the mattress is too soft for my back and as a result, I have a terrible sleep that night.

Quality property

The property is beautiful and amazing! Room service was delicious and our family had a great stay there. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The location is outside of the chaos but very walkable to everything or transit just a few minutes walk away. We can’t wait to go back.

I like Park Hyatt properties. This wasn't my favorite ever, but it was still a very nice stay. My room was very large and comfortable. Excellent, large, well-appointed bathroom. The lobby felt more like a place to walk through rather than linger, but it's a very nice property. I really liked the location too: just outside the CBD, so very convenient, but also close to the lovely Fitzroy and Treasury Gardens. Great places for strolls.

Only negative was a $70 AUD overnight parking fee, the highest of any place that I have stayed.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Park Hyatt. The staff are so accomodating, the location is a walking distance to shops and restaurants and the room is luxury plus. Will stay again soon.

Definitely recommend!

This place brings me back to the early’90s, when the luxury hotels with gleaming gold accents and extravagant designs and so clean that floors reflect like a mirror, receptionists are so friendly provided fast and easy check in/out.

Waited an hour and a half for our room to be ready , our bed didn’t have sheets only a doona, and the room service breakfast was very average , also took full room deposit on card instead of the $100 and was made to pay in full ontop of that holding over $500 on card for a week! Will not be returning!

A very disappointed stay.

The check in was troublesome. They can’t find my reservation even I showed the confirmation letter. Later, they said they found it. But the room rate was 3 times the price I booked. Without telling me, they put a hold on my credit card for 3 times of the price. Because we are staying few nights there, it made my credit card run out of limit. So, I can’t use the credit card for many days. There are many other things wrong with this hotel. 2 of the 3 lifts are not working for many days. Service in the cafe was extremely slow. Restaurant was closed during the day time. Coffee machine and phone were not working in the room. House keeping was not responding to the call. This list can go on and on.

very professional staff, best check in of any hotel in australia

It's an amazing hotel right from when you enter. The decor is absolutely amazing and very grand. The rooms are luxurious. We stayed in the King Room with a decent view of the City. There's the beautiful St. Patrick's Cathedral adjacent to the property on the other side of the road. The only downside was we didn't know that the valet parking service was paid and had it included in our bill whilst checking out, but the service was good. We also availed the buffet service on the weekend $48 per person (if not pre booked). The staff will cater and accommodate to your needs as you request them. There's also a cute dog called Mr. Walker right at the entrance. Overall great experience. Appreciate the hospitality.

Had a wonderful stay, just with one mishap. My eyeglasses broke in the middle and I asked the front desk if they could help superglue it back as a temporary fix. When my glasses came back, the 'engineering department' had used heat to melt the plastic and tried to fuse it together. I was horrified and of course, it didn't work and it snapped again immediately. Although I'm not upset about the frame as it was already broken, whatever method they used to melt the plastic also damaged to coating of my spectacle lenses rendering them useless - so now I need to make new ones. So much for the 'engineering department'!!

Glorious. Chose to stay as a bit of a treat but probably make it the norm. Couldn’t be happier.

The property is in a perfect location of being close to the city (walking distance) but being tucked away by the quiet parks. Pool and spa are top-notch. Staff are so courteous and Heidi at the front desk made our stay extra special. I would return again in a heartbeat! Cannot recommend the hotel enough.

Close and handy to hospital

My wife and I loved our stay at Park Hyatt. It is a convenient location out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the main city however only a short walk. MCG is only a 10 minute walk and it is very close to many cool cafes and restaurants. Staff were amazing and special mention to the breakfast chef who took the time to greet all guests. Would definitely come back

I mean, it is the Park Hyatt so gives what is expected. Leigh Sheppard leads an excellent team. Radi restaurant is open once more and provides excellent service.
