Always a lovely stay at The Park Hotel, clean, Warm and comfortable rooms, Buffet Breakfast with a good selection,

Bathroom was small

Food was really nice and very well priced drinks were a good price to.

Could do with a refurbishment.

We had asked for a room on a high floor, which we were given. However, it was a cold day and we turned up the radiator, to find that it was not working. We pointed this out to Reception, who were very pleasant who gave us the key for the room next door. Before moving our things we thought we had better check the room. We found the radiator in that room was not working either, and ended up borrowing the duvet from that room. Lamps hanging off walls, things needing dusted and, apart from the lobby and Reception area, the hotel felt as if it could do with a good refurbishment throughout. They seemed to have run out of a lot of things. Ingredients for the drinks we ordered had run out, and for the alternatives we asked for. I asked for porridge at breakfast. They had run out of that too. The best I can say for it is that the staff were very pleasant, but I wouldn't stay there again.

Welcoming reception staff on arrival. Good sized room with modern bathroom. Excellent breakfast and a delicious lunch menu. A good option at this price point. The friendly efficient staff made the stay all the more enjoyable.

3 night stay

Excellent staff. Room basic but big bed and comfy, shower very good too. Food very good. Always try and stay here, easy walk into town centre.

The hotel is in need of some refurbishment. The room was mainly clean apart from cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling!

Very pleasant hotel with a good breakfast included. Location is town was walking distance to shops & restaurants. Would stay there again for sure

Close to some activities. The king bed was 2 twins put together, they were at different levels and this made the bed uncomfortable. If a mattress pad had been added it might take the gap and unlevel mattress better. They also put us right next to the parking lot and it was noisy when buses were picking up people.

Two carparks both good size, Warm friendly greeting all info given, lift to all floors Room was on the small size , bathroom ok size Bed very comfortable Shower good Wifi excellent Breakfast not included but could add if wanted to. Do to late booking as hotel originally booked had overbooked,and there wasn't much in the area at the time was rather pricey for what you got tbh. Location is close to the town center and a 3 mile walk to the kelpies along the river highly recommend doing so ! Would probably stay again if it was a bit cheaper (was at 95 when I wrote this review I paid 169 on the night I stayed!) .

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the restaurant had good food.

Poor mattress and bedding

Dinner was good, so was the breakfast. The hotel is showing it's age a little. The worst part was the beds and bedding. Clean but very cheap. Poor pillows and terrible mattresses. This will stop me from staying again.

Nice quiet comfy hotel

On 1st floor so couldn't open wide the window for fresh air. I brought my own fan but still the room was very hot during the night. Time British hotels got rid of the shower over the bath and installed walk-in showers in ALL rooms. My wife and I require twin beds and nearly always these rooms come with shower over the bath which is no good for my wife who has a hip problem. We don't want to reserve a disability room in case somebody else with a more severe disability requires one but looks like this is what we must do. Apart from that, beds were comfy and hotel quiet. Breakfast was fine and I got gluten free as I am coeliac. Apart from heat, an enjoyable stay.

Spent a night before and after my trip to the Highlands. Accommodations and dining were great. Since the elevator was out of service the first night of my stay, Charlie came to the rescue with our bags. He also went beyond the call of duty by providing me a fresh cheese and cracker plate late at night due to seagulls that ate our leftover chips when outside on the patio. Lol. Very kind and attentive service. Signed, Florida woman who enjoyed her stay.

Up your game housekeeping

First room was full of dust broken bed cracked mirror and door stopper. Went to reception and they where amazing giving us choose of 2 other rooms and getting the manager. Who was so apologetic and offered meals on hotel. However we where going out for food so have us a few drinks. 2nd room was a lot better although for some reason regular TV channels didn't work and a light was on in bathroom all night with no way switching off. Bed was 2 single beds pushed together. But where comfortable. Breakfast was really good but no sausages or continental but what was there was amazing and cooked well. Some staff and hotel need some customer service training esp lady on check out Would I return? Yeah although problem with 1st room nearly put me off the lady's we spoke to about it changed my mind. If housekeeping up their game and some staff. This can be our go to for when in Falkirk

Short stay

3 night stay. Friendly welcome. Room on 1st floor. Looking out the back so unfortunately poor mobile signal but free wifi. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Short walk into Falkirk. Handy for train station.

Amazing staff

We didn’t like the restaurant in the evening and in the morning they don’t start giving breakfast until 8 o’clock and if you’re traveling, see places that’s a lot of waste of time

Park Hotel

Having booked a superior room we had a window which was permanent closed by blinds a look through thr blinds only saw a yard room .number 79 A bed which i believe was 4 foot and had to go sideways at the bottom of the bed to get to the bathroom. After having said wasn't happy we were change to a better room

So-so stay

The elevator wasn't working which got us off to a bad start. The room wasn't very clean, especially around the edges. We needed to move a bed to access a single outlet. No USB ports. The room was dated, as was the property in general. Breakfast buffet was adequate... nothing special. The staff was very friendly and helpful and offered to help take our luggage up the stairs. The restaurant was obviously a popular place for locals to celebrate special occasions.

Family reunion

On checking in we were on the 3rd floor but unfortunately the lift was out of order so we had to get the stairs up with our suitcases, my husband suffers with a bad lung so this wasn't very convenient for us, we dropped our cases in the room and went to ask if there was any chance we could get a ground floor room the lady on reception said this wouldn't be a problem but it would have to be the next morning straight after breakfast and she would have someone bring our cases down and put them in our new room.

Is clean and calm

Well the room was dusty the window key was missing could not secure the window lock the shower is not to safe all most got scaled with hot water when in use while others are in use at the same time

Convenient for our needs and very friendly staff

Hotel itself was very, very tired. Relatively clean but overall a 2 or 3 with a lot of investment to get a 5. I’m afraid I wouldn’t stay again.

Park Hotel Falkirk

Hotel was clean and tidy. Room was spacious and not cluttered. Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful. All staff we spoke to were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Would stay here again if in the area. Fantastic base for visiting the Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies.

Room next to parking area and a bit noise

Our room was so nice, spacious and very modern. We had a wonderful stay. The only downside was the parking lot was very full because there is also a restaurant on-site, so we had some difficulty parking which was a little frustrating after a long day of travelling - but the friendly staff who helped us check in made up for it. It was also a tiny bit awkward walking through the restaurant to check-in and to get to our room (we had to lug our bags through the dining room) but it was so nice to smell the yummy food as we walked to our room.

Best Hotel Food

The room was clean but we had to get someone to sort out the window which wouldn’t close properly. The bathroom towel rail was falling of the wall and there was nowhere to put your wash bags etc in the toilet. What I will say in a positive note the staff are amazingly helpful and the food was brilliant.

Stayed for one night, room was clean and comfortable. We decided to have our evening meal in the restaurant and we were not disappointed. Menu had plenty of choice and was good value for money. Breakfast was included. Staff were more than helpful! We would definitely stay again

Room was functional, heating service turned off. Beds very firm to uncomfortable. Staff and check in process went well. Has a lift which is good.

Could not fault property on anything apart from bar closed at 11pm... even for residents!

Great stay in Falkirk

We had a decent sized room on the ground floor with a king bed and a spacious bathroom. The room was a bit dark because the window opened to a fence but the bed was comfortable and the heater worked great like the towel heater in the bathroom and nice hot shower. Breakfast was included and good, we had dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent. Big parking place on property.

Room was in need of a refresh TV didn’t work despite requesting to fix Bar waiting staff were cough and sneezing whilst serving COVID is still rife

Nice Hotel, short walk to town centre.Breakfast self service very Good ,not so sure about the urn of coffee.

Great breakfasts!

Unfortunately I thought there were a few things that fell below expectations. Lots of hairs in the bath, on bed and towels. Breakfast and dining options very limited for vegan guests. The fire alarm also began sounding for several minutes, which was strange and not well communicated if this was a test. The hotel is in a good location but given the other points mentioned it was not comfortable enough to justify returning again.

Great option for the price

The room was nice, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside I’d say was that I could hear all the noise from the upstairs room, someone screaming (as if they had a panic attack) at 3 am for a few nights in a row. Very strange. Other than that, it’s a lovely hotel with a good restaurant.

All the staff here are so friendly, helpful and welcoming, we didn't eat other than breakfast of which there's more than plenty, sometimes put out too early so gets cold, we found our bed much too hard for us, we got another quilt from the staff and used it as a mattress topper, a bit better. I'd recommend this hotel though.

Nice comfortable room and bed. I slept well. Lovely breakfast.

Could be 9 or 10 except for two things: water too hot. Turned shower wrong way to turn it off and was scolded. 2. Scrambled eggs not good at all. More milk than egg. 6 or 7/10 overall as a result.

We thought the Park Hotel Falkirk was great for an over night stay when we wanted to visit the nearby attractions.

Restaurant fab but hotel awful

Food is fab in this hotel but the rooms are awful dingy and run down, disgusting when I run my hand across the windowsill so much dust, made my son’s chest bad. Marks on the walls, hair on the sheets, wallpaper coming off, would not recommend staying here

Comfortable stay

Check in was at 3. Room was a good size. Staff throughout were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast basic but tasted fine. We booked supper which was excellent and great value. Would definitely book here again as it’s very central with a 5 minute stroll into town.

Canal walk stopover

This was a lovely, comfortable overnight stay on our walk back to Glasgow along the canal. The hotel is in a great location, nice and quiet. The restaurant and bar were great,food was tasty, and staff were efficient and friendly. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable.

Business trip

Friendly staff, good food and ideally located for the Falkirk Wheel.

Just a bit short of excellent but very good

Very friendly staff. Good ambience. The rooms are overall average, but well sized with big screen TV and clean. Just lacked minor utilities such as safe, fridge and ironing board to rank excellent. The food was excellent!

In need of a major update

This hotel hasn't changed the decor or carpets since it was built in the 1970's. The room wasn't very clean and the bed was probably the original one as not very comfy with flat pillows. With the wind the room door was rattling all night and even thought the radiator was turned off it was extremely hot.

November visit

The stay was good, the staff were helpful and welcoming. In the bathroom several items were in need of attention, loose fittings etc, these were reported to reception on departure. Otherwise all o.k.

Lovely hotel for a quick stay. Very comfortable and well equipped. Dining room is great for breakfast and dinner.

Highlander

Staff at the hotel were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. Full marks all around. There is easy access to the town and ample parking onsite. The room was warm and comfortable but unfortunately, I had to try three rooms before I found the one with the least background noise (entirely from internal machinery). I am a light sleeper and even room number three was just a bit too noisy. Good restaurant and very good bar, both with great service. Breakfast was a bit thin on choices, but was adequate overall.

Falkirk stay

A remarkable change to the Park hotel from the old one. Great improvement and new rooms, great.

Reasonably good

Most things were good, staff, cleanliness, location etc, but the bed was not very comfortable, the mattress and pillows were past their best.
