Like many travelers needing a hotel before or after a Kenyan safari, I initially looked at Western chain hotels because they are more familiar, but more expensive than local hotels. You can save money and have a better experience at the Panari. It’s as clean and safe as the chain hotels. Plus there’s much much to do without leaving the hotel. If you’re a lap swimmer there’s a 25 yard pool. An ice skater? There’s an indoor rink! Movie theater and several restaurants too.
Loved the customer services at the restaurant
It was my second stay at the hotel. I like the environment, the service and the fact that the staff is so friendly and professional at the samectime.
Great and friendly staff. A lot of options for food. Movie teather, good Gym, swimming pool. 5 stars for security
Location, is the best
Great place to stay
Worked perfect for short stay at the airport to catch a local flight in the early morning.
Dirty room
The Panari has a movie theater, which I used, and a skating rink, which I did not get a chance to use. The view on the side overlooking National Park is very relaxing.
I stay here often when I transit through Nairobi. Price is moderate and close to the airport.
The hotel was average. Our room wasn’t completely clean upon checking in! There were dried rose petals on the floor that had not been cleaned up from the previous occupants. One can only imagine what was happening in that room! Disgusting! Thank God I packed disposable bed linen for my family! Otherwise the stay was okay until check-out. We were rushing out to head to the airport and the receptionist decided last minute to call us back upstairs. Once upstairs, she stated she did not properly charge us for the stay and needed to charge more money! Her math was off! I had to show my receipt to verify charges! I also had to help her with the calculations before being charged the difference. All of that was a major INCONVENIENCE when heading out to a super busy airport! We will not be returning to The Panari Hotel.
A great place to stay! Very friendly staff and lovely spa facilities. Used the pool and had some massage treatments which were superb!
Amazing
Good hotel, variety of choice from breakfast. But the hotel reserves tables that no one ends up using them.
Beautiful hotel on the edge of the National Park.
Very clean, comfortable room with good working air conditioning. Beautiful views of the National Park from the lobby, bar and restaurant. Very convenient for safaris, the airport and to travel into the Central Business District. Very helpful and friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast with a large variety of options. Many thanks for a fantastic stay; I really hope to be staying again with you soon.
poor customer service
The staff were friendly and very professional. My room was cleaned daily
It was just what i needed, near the airport for a meeting.
Very Friendly Staff always welcoming
Food at the cafe made me sick
Nice Place to Stay
This Hotel is very good & Spacious. Food is good. Good buffet breakfast. Since this hotel is owned by an Indian you will get Indian Cuisines. Very close to airport as well. One thing is that the Shuttle service should be free for all guest since this is very close to hotel. They charge 50 USD ( incl. pick up & drop) is way too high for shuttle service.
It's a beautiful hotel with an amazing staff. Excellent price.. will definitely stay there again
Good location. No windows to open for fresh air
Great place to stay
Great
Really great stay and good value for money all around. Staff and facilities excellent! Thank you all! First visit to Kenya and a really great experience all around
I like the Panari
The hotel was nice. I had a room on the 6th floor facing the park and it was a nice view.
It is a beautiful and peaceful place to lodge. Everyone was nice and helpful
More activities to do. Sometimes i felt i wasnt close to the city. I loved it.
Convenient for airport and train station
The room was a little dated but comfortable. Good location for airport and train station. Staff could have been friendlier at reception and the spa. Cleaners and baggage staff were lovely.
Definitely will be staying there again on my next trip
Would love to have some electrical outlets near the headboard to plug in the phone and other devices while going to sleep. Otherwise great place to stay
I liked the staff from the gate to the room.
The hotel was beautiful the food was good and the tour guide Brian was amazing.
The property and the stuff my expectation , especially Moses always greet us with a smile everything was what we expected.
Wonderful Hotel! Great service.
Great views, excellent service.
The hotel is so close to the airport... which is great, and the Southern Bypass. This is an excellent location for the park too, as there are entrances only 5-10 minutes from the lobby. The food was quite good and the restaurants had particularly tasty Indian foods. Generous portions (no appetizer needed) and speedy services... The staff were absolutely outstanding. So kind, courteous and helpful. In particular, Clara and Alfred took amazing care to get to know me and create a number of moments I will never forget. Whether work or eco-vacation, I love this hotel. The views of the park from the bar are splendid and relaxing.
Relaxing time!
Whether from the clean and luxurious rooms to the great food we enjoyed our stay! I would highly recommend getting a massage ! Best one ever! Luke at the bar in the lobby made us the best cocktails! His spicy mojito was the bomb!! We will be back the next time we come to Kenya!!
Hotel is clean and accessible. Gated security stop at the front. Taxi pick-up from airport offered. The view from the front of the building is excellent, not so nice at the back.
I liked the security systems including electronic only resident access to elevator and rooms
I liked the location. but didn't like the bathrooms. there were
Great hotel for families with kids: ice skating, movie theatre, games, House of Leather, etc. Rooms ate spacious.
Large animals just across the street, and friendly, engaging professional staff.
AC not working for the whole stay and refused to change rooms Got robbed stole money from my wallet Worst service ever Food quality was bad
Good hotel
Proximity to airport and city was perfect.
Nice hotel. Good rooms. Breakfast was a bit pricey considering the cost of the room. Would east breakfast at the little cafe next time.
These two staff have zero customer care service Simion and Ann both at the reception
Pleasant staff
Really calming. Friendly staff
Quite place
Very nice place
Downgrade two start hotel
Hotel Room furniture is old, toilet seats unstable to sit on, food menu and quality is poor
Very convenient for being close enough to the airport, has lots of options within complex for activities and enough for food. Good and clean rooms. Good value for money.
The service was good and it’s cleanliness plus the politeness of your staff
Proximity to airport was excellent. Plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from on site. Large size rooms and good service all round. Major issue on the 11th floor was the noise from the elevator control box with loud electrical switching noises for most of the night.
It may have been a nice hotel 30 years ago, however, it seems as if they haven't done a single thing to update since. Beware of hidden charges for any compensation they may have made to amenity shortcomings.
Lovely hotel great staff
Hotel beautiful overlooking Nairobi Safari Park and staff very helpful. Cuisine I gave to say not great but this was our last night in Nairobi and we had been spoiled by excellent food throughout our stay so maybe we may have been a little over critical.
We were greeted promptly by friendly staff. This is a nice hotel.
Location was good, facilities good, may stay there again
Water pressure and temperature was difficult to adjust
Great location, service and rooms!
As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a smile by the door man and the reception staff. Very warm and welcoming, explained all the facilities and nothing was a bother for them. The rooms were very spacious with very comfortable king beds and large bathrooms with bath, robes and toiletries. There is also a in room safe. As we had been camping for 33 days prior we had some washing done and it came back ironed, on hangers and all the stains from a dusty 33 days on the land removed. We had breakfast in the down stairs cafe and this was a generous breakfast for the cost. The main gates were very secure with security staff inspecting all vehicles that entered as well as the added security scan and check when you enter the premises. The property is only a 15 minute drive to the airport and is very close to the CBD which made this a very convinient spot for our 1 night before we left Kenya. I would defiantly stay at the Panari again in the future and reccomend this property for any travellers visiting Nairobi!
BOOK HERE!
The hotel was awesome. They gave us a view of the Nairobi National Park on the top floor. They also threw in free ice skating passes for our family. They have a movie theater, Ice Skating, casino, etc.
Great staff and respectful environment. Reasonable price and secure parking.the breakfast is super and a lot to choice compare to Weston hotel. I stayed Weston hotel this one is above all.Thank You Staff especially the night shift group. Osman From New York.!
Perfectly located by the airport for a quick in-and-our trip to avoid traffic. Also near the national park, so very handy. Staff are always so polite and friendly.
Conveniently located by the airport and opposite the national park. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazingly tidy rooms
Fine to sleep, not much else.
Slept here on a layover between Kenya Airways flights. Fine to sleep, but grimy otherwise. Given the price, I was surprised. We booked a King (1 adult, two children) and got 1 full size bed. Hot water and a place to lay down. Not much more.
The hotel was great-- design, clean, friendly and comfortable.
Clean, comfortable hotel with easy access to Jomo Kenyatta airport. Fairly industrial neighborhood, but lots to do in the hotel itself - several restaurants, spa, cinema, store, skating rink. Staff were very pleasant and helpful with any needs. Stayed twice on either end of a trip to another area, and both went well.
The staff were excellent: professional, friendly, helpful and welcoming. This was recommended to us by a regular guest of the hotel. We are recommending it and have stayed there twice.
First disappointment was that I was not picked up as there was no shuttle. Room was very hot air condition was not working for more than eight hours. No breakfast as indicated in my purchase.
Extraordinary customer service from all staff that impacted our stay. Grand hotel with ease and comfort. Already planing a return trip. This time for a long Nigeria stay
Business trip to Nairobi
Service was fantastic. Room was comfortable and clean. The entrance of the hotel as well as the lobby are not very remarkable. The breakfast was limited, but good.
Great views of the national park, the food from the restaurant breakfast, lunch, dinner was delicious. Staff were very welcoming. Close to the airport, though journies to Westlands area cost 700KSH by Uber. Traffic can be horrendous Only negative would be the lights, it is a bit dark in places. Not sure if not replacing the lightbulbs is intentional.
Good clean quality service.
Smelly room
Considering to be a 4-5 star hotel then generally it was not. Room was smelly (old cigars kind of smell) and oldish. I stayed with my wife and my son and we noticed in hotels.com that they have a playing ground for kids. Well, it is only one trampoline. There are better options with same money.
This is a very good and secure business hotel approximately half way between the airport and Nairobi centre. It has a large indoor pool and spa area. There are several cafes / restaurants in the Panari complex within which the hotel is located. Tourists should be aware that Nairobi downtown is a taxi ride away. Rooms are large and well appointed. Staff are extremely accommodating. I have stayed at the Panari many times in the past and have always been very satisfied with the service provided.
Overall everything is Awesome, from the time we stept in to checking and even the information about the place was excellent. Cannot complain
Great airport hotel
Clean, with everything you need for a night in Nairobi without any time to go into town.
Ok not great as airport hotel.
Used as airport hotel but actually not all that close. Had to fight for quoted rate for trip to/from airport. Not a cozy place.
Everything Perfect
Wife and I stayed 8 nights. Great, friendly staff, very attentive and responsive to any request or need. Very clean and beautiful grounds.
Noisy!
The room was very noisy - not traffic noise, as would be expected on such a busy road, but (during daytime) construction relating to the ongoing renovation (which was not mentioned while booking) and also unidentified noises during the night. Staff were friendly. Some of the facilities advertised e.g. kids play area were not operational, and the pool was closed - again, there was no indication of this during the booking process.
Nice hotel, close to airport
Was a nice haven to relax and recover from long flights.
Just OK
It was an OK hotel nothing spectacular but something that you can just go to, sleep and carry on about your business
Good 3.5 star hotel.
Great situation as close to airport and overlooking the Game Park. Saves that terrible journey into city. Good experience.
Okay hotel close to airport
I had an overnight layover in Nairobi and chose the Panari because of its proximity to the airport. The hotel has very poor dining facilities..... it has only one restaurant Red Garnet which offered a buffet that was simply awful. Choice was poor and food was lukewarm
Good staff, poor hotel
Staff were great - avoid the laundry service though. The hotel itself needs updating and facilities are scarce.
Tired hotel taking advantage of proximity to JKIA
The fire alarms went off on our floor. The solution was that the hotel staff disconnected the wiring in that area. Not too safe. Two days later we returned to hotel (paid for in advance) and the fire alarms went off again on our different floor. No fire anywhere. At 4:30 am, No water came out the bath or hand shower, it just trickled. Luckily there was water in the sink taps for a wash.
Service was very good. Room was clean. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
I liked the hotel but thought the $25 breakfast buffet price is rediculously high. I can understand half that. Go to the cafe on ground floor and for $6 you can get a good breakfast.
Most awful hotel I have stayed in in Nairobi
The hotel is so tired it should be gutted
Good hotel close to the airport
it is difficult to meaningfully comment about experience at the hotel. I arrived after 10pm and left at 8am. The hotel is well located and suited my purpose which was to have a good rest whilst transiting through Nairobi
Luxury hotel close to the airport.
Very modern, would stay again. Rooms are very quiet as well.
2nd Rate hotel
Badly updated third world hotel. Poor amenities, bad food, dingy overall. Not surprising in a country like Kenya, but you could stay at the excellent Radisson for the same price.
Good airport hotel
Staff were very helpful with shuttle service and baggage arrangements -- excellent for a quick overnight between flights if needed.
Over rated. Poor customer service. Loud construction theoughout the day.
nice but you feel violated
everything was good and very good however i would even though you pay for for or five days in advance NONREFUNDABLE on the day and evening prior to your depart THE NEXT MORNING BY 10:00 AM you can expect to be constantly harassed by hotel staff that keep knocking down your down wanting you to pay or check out starting 6:00 pm to midnight and beyound if you don't pay an additional night; and if not you can expect them to turn off your WIFI even thought the hotel is paid in full and check out time is in fact the next day by 10:00 am you could not grant me an excuse of free room / SIMPLY RATED A 5-STAR HOTEL WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND ABNOXIOUS AND LIFE IS SHORT ENOUGH NOT TO ENJOY WHAT ONE PAYS FOR IN ADVANCE.....
Good for transit passengers
Hotel location is good for transit passengers. The worse traffic of Nairobi starts after this hotel so you can reach hotel or airport within 15 min. Hotel is not well maintained, occupancy was very less during my stay. There's nice view of the national park from the hotel.
Nice place
