Wondefrul hotel at a good price.
Lovely hotel, excellent location. The staff were great, very friendly and professional. The room was very clean and comfortable. location is wonderful, very will situated in the heart of Buenos Aires, well coonnected by public transport, lots of shops and restaurnats etc close by but it is set back from the main street on a small side road and is very quiet and peaceful.
Great communication through several travel delays for us. Friendly and ready for us when we arrived. Nice breakfast. Nice room. Comfy bed.
Very small rooms - do not recommend
Centrally located and convenient, great staff , excellent breakfast
perfecto, servicio excelente
Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and most helpful!
The people working the front desk are all very helpful and the breakfast selections are excellent. There are plenty of good restaurants and shopping nearby. I highly recommend!
Our stay at this hotel was fantastic. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, enhancing our visit. Its prime location made everything easily walkable, from attractions to dining. Highly recommend for anyone seeking comfort and convenience!
The staff were great but the rooms need some updating. Washrooms nice and big. Hallways too dark. The room temperature was hard to control as it was either too hot or too cold so ended up with a cold!
My bed had a hole and was poke with a wired and at the breakfast in the morning big crockroach on the floor also at night around the cups
Lourdes and everyone else was remarkably great! I love this place and the people running it. Truly exquisite.
Very central location
Fairly close to the nearest airport, metro station just a few steps from the front door. Seemed quiet. Staff very helpful.
Very convenient location. Friendly staff.
Arrived
Great staff very friendly
Beautiful hotel and fantastic location. Breakfast is nice too
Very close to the central district and recoleta area. Though quite far away from the sightseeing attractions. Overall a good hotel near very good resturants and other stores on Florida street. Would recommend staying here for a short trip.
The property is within walking distance of most tourist sights . Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. From the minute we arrived till we needed somewhere to sit before our flight was provided happily. We would definitely recommend the property.
The staff incredibly helpful
The staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean and spacious.
Awesome! I would always return to the same Hotel!
Las chicas son muy Amables
Central to everything, safe and quiet. I would stay here again.
Wonderful staff - super helpful and accommodating! Rooms were good sized and clean, and showers were hot and strong. Loved the location! Close to lots of great restaurants (our favourite was Tanta - Peruvian), Florida street for shopping and tourist attractions were very walkable. We would recommend this hotel.
The hotel’s location is very convenient, close to transportation, located in front of a park, within walking distance of shopping centers , and some of the most iconic monuments and buildings in the city. The hotel is a restored historical building. The room was clean, well well lit and big. It has parquet wooden floors and a contemporary design. The WC is clean and new fixings are installed. My only observation, which depends on your taste, are the corridors which are painted in black and very poorly lit. The receptionist in the lobby was very friendly and helpful.
Great staff support and friendliness. 🙂
Perfect spot for our trip. Walk to many parks, sites and restaurants. Metro is out the front door. Train station is close.
Hotel was great, would stay again
Hotel was great, good location and happy with everything. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast set up was a little confusing to start but worked it out. I would stay again
Rooms were good size with great shower. Hotel was good location for walking and airport accessibility. Staff had good advise on what to see and do in the area.
El piso de la habitacion estaba sucio cuando hicimos el checking
We enjoyed 4 nights at this hotel. Our room was smallish--like a European hotel but had every thing we needed. The beds were comfortable, bathroom was lovely and the breakfast was very good. The best thing about the hotel was the very helpful frontdesk staff. They were outstanding. Location is excellent for walking or public trasport. Lots of sights and restaurants nearby.
Great spot
Convenient clean and comfortable
Personable and professional staff at the front desk, the housekeeping, crew, and the breakfast room. Super location, comfortable bed great shower however the room was very, very small
The best location i could ever pick. Such an amazing clean hotel. In a beautiful area with amazing stuff. Super clean rooms and super nice service. Lourdes we loved you. Thank you Anabella also.
Solid place.
Nice
Well situated with the expected quality and amenities for the price range
Very tiny room. For one person one night, it is ok. Noise from condition if your room is inside the building.
Quiet
It was incredible
Staff was very helpful. Felt like family.
Nice stuff and great location
Greatv
A nice little palace
Great location, nice breakfast, good value received
Amazing
Charming property with friendly staff and a decent breakfast. Location was good with Florida Street nearby!
What stood out most to me was the staff. The front desk staff was amazing as was the restaurant staff, everyone was very friendly and helpful. They really made my girlfriend and I feel like we were at home.
Good place, good price, kind staff. Then only bad thing is breakfast not good choices not variate
Excellent value, quality breakfast
Just a really good place to stay, central in the city, easy to walk too many good locations.
I really liked the location (Retiro) - not touristy like the Obelisk area but still pretty central and quiet, offering easy access to Recoleta/Palermo, Puerto Madero, Plaza de Mayo, and La Boca. The hotel rooms are nothing fancy but clean enough. Also, the park views are spectacular. The breakfast is pretty basic but it is everything you need; just go earlier, as they may run out of things like coffee or jam closer to 10:30 (when breakfast ends). The best thing about the hotel, other than the location, are the staff. They are so polite and kind - I loved them all. It probably made a difference that I made an effort to speak Spanish as much as possible, which they appreciated. I definitely recommend this place.
Great location. Nice breakfast. Had a small room with no view.
The staff was very kind and helpful. The medialuna at breakfast was excellent. The room and bathroom were very clean and decent-sized. Some people in the reviews said they didn't like their beds 'coz they were hard and uncomfortable. I actually loved my bed! I always prefer a firm mattress instead of those springy or soft-foam ones. However, I didn't like that the room kind of smelled like cigar. The room was very clean but there was that smell. Additionally, the AC took so long to cool the room and, throughout the night, it felt like it was just in fan mode. It took me a while to fall asleep partly because of that.
Centrally located to many sights. Clean comfortable rooms. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
All the hotel Staff was kind and paid special attention to all our needs. Free breakfast buffet was also remarcable and delicious.
great place for a great vacation .
Very friendly and easy check in. Room was large and would be good for multiple nights (we were just there for one). The beds were not the most comfortable, but after a long day I did not even notice.
Such a lovely staff and they’re all very helpful.
This property could be so good. Great location. The staff are their best asset. The restaurant is good, the breakfast so so. What we didn't like was that everywhere you looked you could see items that needed to be repaired, painted, or renovated. For some reason they had insufficient key cards, they are pennies per card. There were issues with our lock and the keycards, four times we needed assistance.
Estuvo bien
Thought front desk staff were especially helpful always going the extra mile.
It’s ok!!
The stay was ok, nice old palace. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable, and the evening front desk man was rude. I went down to him the evening before checkout when I received an email that our flight to Iguazú was delayed the next day and before I even got the question out he literally screamed at me that no late checkout was available. He didn’t have to scream it at me, and he could have at least humored me and let me finish my question.
Historic. Nice. Will be back
Quirky hotel
The staff was fantastic....front desk, breakfast staff and housekeeping. Quick question......why no closet, no liquid soap, no tissues?
I got a very good price for the room at Palacio Paz. The room was small, but clean. Good value for the money.
Very courteous staff
Amabilidad y eficiencia
Buena atención, siempre estuvieron atentos a mis requerimientos otorgando soluciones con eficiencia.El servicio de desayuno y resturant cumplió ampliamente con mis expectativas.
Great location, staff super friendly, clean, we loved it
Very friendly staff.
Very helpful and friendly Staff
Friendly staff
I would definitely stay here again.
Good location around Plaza de San Martin, beautiful environment, clean and quiet, friendly services. Delicious breakfast.
Perfect location for great restaurants and walking around.
Very central to everything.
Good for the price. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was included and decent. Eggs could be ordered to taste and also included in the breakfast. Would stay here again.
Side streets lots of garbage and homeless people and
Bad smell in room- I like the area
Not 4 Star
While the Front Desk staff were friendly and helpful, I found overall it felt like a cross between an upmarket hostel and a travelers hotel and would, grudgingly give them 3 stars. The overall feel was that a property was run by a Developer not a Hotelier or Management Company. The Breakfasts were horrible both in presentation, choice and taste. The room was spartan with metal furniture and hanging space like in a uni residence
Convinient and safe location, professional staff and service, and good breakfast!
The staff was amazing treated u like family
Nice hotel with a superb staff!!!
The room was clean, nice and comfortable; decorated in kind of a simple Swedish crisp style. The hotel was in a great central location. The best part of the Palacio Paz Hotel is it's staff; they were wonderful in assisting us with our touristy questions and providing tips on getting around town, particularly since we didn't speak Spanish. Only slight caveats were; the air-conditioner took a bit of time to cool off the room on the first day (albeit there was an heat wave) but it did eventually catch up and there wasn't a trash can in the room, just a tiny one in the bathroom. Honestly, the staff was great!!!
Nice and clean. Convenient location. Beautiful historic landmark. Loved the museum visit
Wonderful staff at a beautiful hotel in an ideal location makes this a great place to stay. The included breakfast was a treat and offered a lot of quality food.
My room has amazing view and the location is very convenient.
Limpio, conveniente, excelente ubicación
The staff were exceptionally friendly, spoke English, smiled lots and were so helpful to work with. Top notch employees!! The room was huge with a sofa and desk. Bed was comfy, and we overlooked the park. Breakfast buffet was excellent, with eggs made to order. Close to restaurants and shopping, easy to get Uber and taxis. Hop on Hop off bus around the corner. Front desk ladies helped us with places to go explore. Had laundry done at hotel, back the same day and reasonably priced. Close to get to the cruise port. Would definitely stay here again.
We booked the room thru Expedia after reading the reviews which were overall 5 stars. There were videos showing Tango dancing at the hotel. The pictures and reviews made it look like a magical hotel. The hotel staff was superb, the young lady was bilingual flowing easily back & forth with customers in both English & Spanish. She greeted everyone with a smile & truly acted like it was a pleasure to help the guest. The staff at the restaurant named Moby Dick was also excellent and the food was good. The room that we were given was on the 5th floor in an extremely dark corner of the building. The tiny room had a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. Honestly, the exterior of the hotel was beautiful, but the room that we were assigned made me feel like I was staying in a cave with a comfortable bed. It was av hot night & the A/C never seemed to cool the Ron off. My assigned room door to the dark hall & small room. I would rate as 2 stars, because I world not recommend the D stay in that area of the hotel. The view out the window is of the back of dirty building. Even though the exterior of the hotel is beautiful, count me out as fast as staying at the Plació Paz again.
We loved Palacio Paz hotel and highly recommend it. We stayed there before and after a cruise to Antarctica. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is at a walking distance to bus stop, hop on hop off bus, train station and subway. It is also at a walkable distance to many attractions like Oblesco. For people taking cruises, the hotel is only a couple of miles to the cruise terminal and it cost us less than 5000 pesos on a Uber. From our room, we had a view of the San Martin plaza. In particular,
Excellent Hotel
Beautiful hotel rooms in prime location
The hotel is in a prime location, in a very nice part of the City, and across from the park. The hotel is beautiful with herringbone wood floors and nice views. Staff was so very helpful and friendly, and the hotel is very clean. Breakfast is plentiful continental style breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Last Minute Booking
We had a last minute booking due to flight cancellations and this hotel was conveniently located in downtown on New Years which everything around was closed. Excellent location but beds were a bit rough but overall an excellent location for tourist.
Hotel is in a central location, ok for a few days. The hotel room was overall clean. Quality of the fixtures in the room and bathroom are average.
Overall I liked this property. I travelled from Canada and stayed in BA for a couple of days on business. The location was great and the property is well maintained. The staff were friendly, and there was always one person at the front desk that spoke English, which helped when my limited Spanish failed me. My room was relatively small, but it had a nicely appointed bathroom and the bed was comfortable. There wasn't a desk, which normally would be an issue for me as I travel for work, but for this trip it was ok. There wasn't a closet, but there was a metal frame contraption which allowed you to hang clothes and had a few shelves. It was good for one person, but would be tight for 2. The safe in my room was very small, only big enough for a wallet and passport. My colleague had a slightly bigger room and her safe was large enough for a laptop. I would recommend this property if you don't need a large room with desk and sofa amenities. The buffet breakfast was decent, especially the pastries!
Great place. Very friendly and helpful staff. No gym. Fantastic location. Recommended.
Nice hotel, very central. Room with balcony was lovely but no balcony furniture to sit out.
It’s located in a nice place and walking distance in downtown. Be careful with the pictures of the room, they seem big, specially the 2 twin beds but they are not. The room is very very small, hot, the beds are very small and if you are tall good luck!. The staff is great and they come and clean but they just make the bed and changed one towel that is all. I tried calling Expedia to let them know how dishonest the pictures are but all they tell you is we apologize there will be cancellation fees for the upgrade and how else can we help you=we don’t care!
