Great staff
It was fine, but dated . Breakfast was great variety, staff were very helpful and polite.
Dated rooms but the price was right! Beds were very comfortable and cozy.
Older property, smelled wet
Is right in town. Convenient for walking. Staff was great. Rooms could use some TLC but were ok.
Terrance has always been our favorite receptionist.
Easy to find, unsecured parking, dirty rooms, poor beds
Outdated, musty, dirty , my white pillow was stained yellow, smelled of cigarettes, we ended up paying for a room at the prestige
The bathroom sink was filthy around the faucet. The shower didn't work but there was a sign that said "If shower doesn't work, call us and we'll come fix it". REALLY??? They KNOW the shower doesn't work but they rented the room anyway. Also drinking water advisory posted but no bottled water provided.
The place was fine for a one night stay after late check-in after arriving on ferry.
We stayed 2 nights and we would stay again. The staff was friendly and helpful. The condition of the property was average bu very clean. If we return I may bring my own pillow, but the bed was very comfortable and the light breakfast was good.
It works
Bathroom could use some upgrading. Area around hotel is a little run down.
we booked 2 queen bed rooms. one of the room on 3rd floor is very good but the one on 2nd floor is in poor condition. curtains is worn , floor is dirty.
Our room wasn’t the cleanest and we had food in our fridge but lady at the desk was very nice about it
There was no A/C which made it a nightmare when we were there and we were told to open the windows for air which so noisy even during the night.Reception is friendly.
Good location and price. Room needed some work...ie bathroom shelf barely hanging on.
Thank you for being open when we arrived in the middle of the night!
The staff was excellent! Very friendly and very helpful. The problem was the shower. I had to have staff turn it on and off for me. Apparently this is a problem throughout the building. When travelling being able to have a hassle free shower it’s important.
Shower and temp control in 301 inoperative
Front desk was amazing both in the evening and morning but they can’t make up for a very dated hotel . Our room wasn’t very clean as rugs were stained and our bathroom had hair and it wasn’t ours. Room needed maintenance, the windows leaked, a light didn’t work and our toilet leaked. Room was noisy but that wasn’t the hotels fault but rude people who talk loudly in the hallways after 11pm
We didn't have a good experience there as our shower was not working and when we asked for a fix they said it is a common issue. Rooms were not cleaned. Not recommended to travel with kids
Filthy rooms. Mold in the washroom/shower area with a mixture of people’s hair everywhere. Smelled like cigarettes and mildew.
Jason, the desk clerk was excellent, could not be more helpful!
Liked quick check-in by their two staff standing by for the midnight arrival of ferry passengers. Disappointed that their underground parking was full and we had to park across this st at the pharmacy in the rain. Somewhat dated but facility/room was clean and linens were clean and crisp. Typical cereal yogurt muffin toast cold breakfast.
The room appeared to have not been cleaned and there were bed bugs in the room we were assigned.
The mattress was old and did not hold its form. The lights that worked were flickering. The two lamps by the pullout sofa were not plugged in. The bath had stains in it.
The people were so very nice!
Shower didn’t work. Coffee maker didn’t work
Very clean and tidy and quiet
It was a good trip around.
Great sleep spot, close to town
Great place to stay
They were very friendly. Restaurant on site was very good. Breakfast included normally starts at 6 am, but for the days the ferry runs, they start at 5 am so guests can eat before leaving to catch the very early morning ferry.
Grocery store was close and not far from the ferry
it has not been kept up very well was way better 2 years ago
Its not the best but it could be worst
Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were dated and beds were soft / worn
Overpriced.
👍
Great staff, and comfortable room
Great customer service by staff
No screen on window. Stained carpet, stained bed sheets, pubic hairs along bathtub. Just gross
We arrived late on the ferry (12am) and there was extra staff on hand to check in guests so everyone could get into their rooms asap. Staff were pleasant and kind. The continental breakfast was good and the restaurant in the hotel, Sonbadas Steak House, was excellent.
The room was okay except for limited space in the bathroom to place any item and no air conditioning in the room. The breakfast included with the stay isn't good quality either. One should plan to buy food outside.
check your room before staying.
we booked this room in dec. 2023 as part of a long trip. it was for a king bed for 2 nights after a long derived of the day. upon checking in which started off fine, we went to the room on the 3rd floor, which had 2 queen beds. back to the front desk showing reservation for king bed. she checked her records and yes we did reserve the king and they must had made a mistake. so she goes looking for a king bed which she didn't think they had any left but found one on the first floor at end of the hallway of 28 rooms. open the door and it is 72 degrees, no air cond. or fan. back to the desk and ask for a fan sorry we do not have any left! (as she eats her salad and talks on the phone. i mention that i saw one in the first room and ask if i can have that one. she goes i can give you a key if you want to go and get it. so off i go and we have a fan. get to the room and greeted with a 2 foot stain on the run right inside the door, a window that is tough to open with a screw lock, then no screen on it. great view to the dumpster right outside and a dump next to it. bathroom floor had marks all over it with couple of holes in flooring tile. couch pillows splitting on the seams, knobs broken off of the cabinets. this is the dump room of the hotel for sure. talked to house keeping in a.m. very nice lady. she says there is a fan in the room behind the couch but not cage around blade but she has plenty in storage! sure enough she did. rumored renovation in fall. dump now!
friendly staff, good sized room, convenient parking The hotel is just a bit worn. Otherwise, very good for a short stay.
Entire building is in disrepair.
Nice place, clean and good bed. A remodel could be in the future:) No problem and very adequate for a sleep!
It was dirty expensive and terribly outdated. Beds were worn but comfortable.
Stopped in Prince Rupert for a night while waiting to board the ferry in the early morning. Went with the Pacfic Inn because it we were getting in late and just needed a place to rest. Not expecting anything fancy. Travelling with young kids, and the entire third floor (were we we placed) smelt like weed. We did a quick check for BB's. Initially we did not see anything. However, when we woke up we discovered bites on my son. There were also blood stains on our carpet. Felt dirty in the morning and the showers did not function well, ending in a scalding for me and my son. The "smokers lounge" in the parkade was "unique" and even had empty Lucky Lager cans left behind. By the end of my very short stay, we were happy to leave. Not coming back.
This property has not been updated in decades! Very old and dirty carpets with stains. Stains on chairs in the room. Terrible shower head, very old curtains that you can see through in places. Windows have black mold in the tracks. Mirror in bathroom is ‘silvering’, in other words should be tossed. Any o e saying this was excellent must be a fake review in my opinion. The rate for this room is way in excess of what we got.
Nice but no AC I know these high temps are unusual but wow Otherwise great
ok
All vending machines on all floors were either out of order or out of product.
very good staff ,only issue was they advertised with breakfast .but it was a continental type breakfast ,not good
All staff we encountered were first rate. Friendly and engaging. The property is more than showing its age. Time for a big reno. The linens and beds were clean. Bathroom was just OK considering the age of the fixtures. Looked like it had been weeks since the stairwells had been vacuumed.
BED BUGS . Room Not clean . Hallways not been vacuumed ever. Smalls like smoke . Out dated rooms . Could feel the springs and the mattress was supposed to stay there for three nights, checked out after the first . Bug bites all over me . DONT STAY HERE. $170.00 is not worth the bed Bugs .
Building is older but room was very clean and bed and pillows were great
I’m very satisfied
T.V didn't work properly, had to play with the toilet to get it to stop running
Old building and facilities. Very basic. Could be a lot cleaner.
Beautiful facility
Hot water would not shut off
Carpets was soo dirty, desk dusty, lamps dusty. .
Good parking
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was good. The rooms are old, the shower didn’t work, no counter around the sink, the carpets need a good cleaning.
Just need more cleaning attention
The curtains need attention found outher peoples stuff under the chair. The sink needs a good cleaning stairs were real dirty The staff were great just need to get into corners The coffee pot was lousy The bed was lovely and cosy beackfast a great. All round I would stay again just need to do a Better cleaning job
Pleasant clean hotel close to everything. Staff was very helpful
Staff were wonderful and helpful
The staff were friendly and helpful! The breakfast was great!
Underground parking
The staff were so accommodating.
Friendly check in and great restaurant on site
Black mould on shower caulking. Caulking and grout coming apart in sink and shower. Stains all over the carpet. Stains on bedding. Stains on lamps. Stains on chairs. If I was paying $60 a night to stay, I would expect this. But considering it costs $160 a night ($180 with tax and fees), it’s shocking how gross the room was. Rip off.
All the staff are really friendly
House keeping stole my lighting Iphone charger
I left my charger in the room and behind the night stand. I went back to grab it and front desk clerk check in the room and around the front desk and said it’s not there. I told him I know where I left it. He told me to the room to let me look for my self it was gone. I asked him if house keeping had it he said if they did it would be turned in at the front desk and it’s not. I KNOW I LEFT IT BUT IT WASNT TURNED IN BY HOUSEKEEPING SO THEY FOUND IT AND KEPT IT. Sucks coz they are expensive and not I have to purchase a new charger
Travelling with my dog and everything went really well. I’ll stay again on future Prince Rupert trips.
Underground parking for security, great staff, service with a smile.
Staff were so accommodating and friendly. Was a great stay other than the outdated rooms and very uncomfortable beds. We were in a pet friendly room so I’m sure there are much nicer rooms there but the pet friendly rooms could sure use an update. Very worn, stained carpets, ripped chairs, and super uncomfortable beds. Was a good stay regardless but could have been a bit nicer. Price was great.
The service was absolutely phenomenal
Did not try out the dining options including the daily continental breakfast. Quiet convenient location, close to ferries and highway. Underground parking convenient. Clean rooms with lots of towels thank you. Very nice stay
Really friendly staff. Safe and quiet area. Walkable area to shop and explore. Would stay again!
Under ground parking
Nice place to stay
It was good got there late so there was no parking. We park in the grocery store parking lot across the street. He didn’t have us set up to check in so we had to wait about 5 minutes well he set up our booking.
Under ground parking
Well kept up, very friendly staff and good rates and location
Limited underground parking, plenty on the street and quite safe. Loved the greek restaurant inside the property. We had two suppers there... great food, great staff.
Underground parking. Comfortable stay. Pleasant staff.
No air conditioning
The desk attendants were pleasant. The lobby and breakfast area were fine. But the room itself was very poor - dirty, smoky (cigarette smoke), very warm & stuffy (no ventilation or AC except sliding window with a small fan that we balanced on the windowsill. The stairwells were
Pick somewhere else
This place is a tear down in a crappy end of town. I would not stay again. The staff is amazing, everyone is friendly, helpful and great. The rooms still have single panes, there is no air conditioning, and the smell was the absolute worst. Pro - there is a continental breakfast. Unfortunately for these lovely staff, the place itself is disgusting.
Quite old and needs some TLC. Room clean and ok for very short stay. Staff very cooperative and friendly. Value for money ok.
I will start with the good. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and did a great job. The room was clean and breakfast was available early so there was enough time to catch the ferry. The location to the ferry was great, a 4 minute drive. Underground parking was convenient. The negative. Hotel patrons smoking and drinking at the entrance to the parking lot wasn't very welcoming. The hallways of the hotel smelled like pot. The shower in our room didn't work. There's no air-conditioning at this hotel which is fine since the windows open, but there's no screens in the window's allowing bugs to get in. A couple things beyond the hotels control. There's lots of homelessness around the area but we didn't encounter any problems. Also the water has a yellow colour. There's pro's and cons to any place but overall our stay was fine.
Good property. A bit older / dated. Great staff. No complaints.
The staff were all very nice, very accomodating eager to please. Breakfast was included, and I don't really eat a lot for breakfast, so in my opinion there was a perfect amount of selections.
We're pleased with the underground parking and short drive to the ferry terminal.
No air conditioning. No screen in window.
Only stayed one night before the Ferry to Port Hardy. Hotel was clean and convenient. Air conditioning would have been nice as the westher was hot and sunny.
Everything was great, except that my shower was broken.
