Great location, beautiful facilities. Great stay!
Very nice place to stay with kids
I had a great experience start to finish at Onyado Nono from check-in to check-out, my room was comfortable and clean, the food was great and the Onsen experience was better than I could've imagined. The massage chairs and onsite laundry were a huge bonus that I was no anticipating but appreciated.
This hotel has hot spring and mid night free ramen popsicles. Rooms are a little small. Staff are friendly.
I loved and appreciated the services and amenities offered, found the style and aesthetic where traditional meets modern very refreshing and relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyed the onsen, ice cream, and late-night ramen! I really appreciated how attentive and considerate the staff were and how hard they worked to ensure our experience staying at the hotel was pleasant and enjoyable.
Rapid service, very clean and very convenient. Staff are super friendly and helpful.
Relaxing Experience
It was amazing to come back to the hotel and have the option to go to the onsen! The location is not the most convenient but I think it was worth staying here for the onsen experience in Kyoto. The Japanese breakfast was amazing with many options and was super filling. I think the evening noodles was alright but it was nice to have the hot drinks available at the lobby and ice cream after the onsen.
Everything is perfect
The hotel is close to Kyoto Station, which makes it convenient. Close to transportation, shopping, and dining options. The hotel amenities were great (hot springs, free drinks, and ramen, free drinks and snacks, washing machines). The only complaints are we stayed there for 5 days and they don't do any room cleaning (although they do provide fresh towels and Yukata daily) and the room is small.
Very clean. Most staff could speak English and were very friendly and helpful.
Cannot fault the property with tatami mats everywhere just wearing our socks and in house amazing mineral baths (must try!) and relaxation center complete with goodies. The best ever Japanese buffet and international selections free ramen. Plus superb Japanese authentic hospitality and experience by just being inside the hotel. The only one thing i could pick on was how hot my room is and cannot control the aircon but thats it. Everything is just went beyond my high expectations , given the chance would come back to this place in a heartbeat!
Good hotel, okay ryokan
Although this place was good overall, however it felt more like a hotel than a traditional ryokan so for those who are looking for the traditional experience, I would not recommend this place. With that being said, as a hotel or hybrid ryokan, I would recommend this place. The highlight of this ryokan is the location. Less than 10 min walk away from the JR Kyoto Station, which makes it an ideal place to stay when you are planning to look around Kyoto. Furthermore, their buffett breakfast was superb. Very good selections and some foods are cooked in front of you to maximize the freshness. Now to the negative side, this place was very crowded with tourists and noisy families. Also the tatami in our room was not in a great condition. It was scuffed up and looked quite dirty. Other part of the room was nice and clean.
Great place to stay to experience an onsen. The free cold treats at night were perfect for late night snack after visiting the onsen.
Wow wow wow :) I had an amazing time. I definitely will be back. The staff give off happy vibes and very close to places tourists go.
The onsen resort is a 5-10mins walk away from the Kyoto station. Love the onsen facilities, the breakfast and the evening ramen served to guests for free! No housekeeping to make up the room but towels are refreshed daily. It would be great if the trash in the room can be cleared daily.
Very good for the price. Vast selection during breakfast.free desserts, coffee and ramen in the evening. Onsen is bit crowded. Massage chairs are very good and great feature but almost always occupied even at 5 am in the morning. Would love to stay again for the added benefits.
It is a very good hotel. I recommande it. Thanks for the good service!
this was our second stay here at onyado nono! my partner has tattoos and this hotel is one of few that allows tattoos to be covered to use the onsen. the facility is clean and quiet, the amenities are fabulous, and the location is convenient! we will stay here every time we visit kyoto
Best hotel I've ever stayed in.
Our first introduction to Japanese onsen culture. Great spa experience and geared towards relaxation and tranquility. Leave your shoes at the door of the hotel and let them comfort you. Frequent snacks and full sweets buffet enhance the experience. Neighborhood is a bit touristy but you can find legit food and drink if you know where to look. We emerged recharged and ready for the next leg of our trip
very clean, unique hot spring hotel, excellent service
The food was excellent especially the breakfast buffet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend to all my friends to stay there.
Rooms smelled terrible, A/C did not work, and very crowded.
I stayed here with my husband in November 2024. Our room was clean and welcoming, bed comfortable, the onsen was lovely, and while we didn't have many meals there, the food we did have at the hotel restaurant was excellent. Highly recommend!
Excellent location and breakfast selection, wonderful natural hot spring to end the day with relaxation.
It was amazing, excellent onsen, breakfast and service. We asked for extra pillow and they were delivered immediately. Supper is provided everynight and matcha latte is available all day. Laundry washing is free, we just need to pay for drying.
This was such a wonderful stay. All expectations exceeded. Great job on greeting; felt very comfortable with communication as English was available and spoken well! There was no doubt that the staff really understood what helpful for foreign traveler. All instructions were in place both for the facility and the areas nearby. Loved the message chairs, onsen, and delightful extras such as ramen and ice cream. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Room was very comfortable with all necessities available. A truly great stay…
This is a nice hotel for relaxation after a day traveling around the sights in Kyoto. You are close to the train station but nothing else is close. There are a few dining spots nearby which are fine and the hotel runs like a well oiled machine making it easier for guests. The staff was very nice and accommodating.
I can't say enough about the hotel. The bath area is new and wonderful. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really wonderful. There are so may extras that really made the stay wonderful.
Excellent stay, friendly staff, reasonably sized rooms, great amenities.
Modern Japanese hitel
Very beautiful and new hotel! Complete package with hot spring onsen to use with many types. Rooms were very comfortable for a Japan style room. Staff was helpful. It can crowded with guess. And discouraging when so many guests in lobby and restaurant
We truly enjoyed our stay. It was perfect in every way. Loved the onsen. Great variety for breakfast, afternoon dessert, ramen at night and ice cream after onsen, not to mention massage chairs. Staff was very cordial. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We stayed here for 6 days. Good food and really good services.
Great facilities, great location, great service
They offer free afternoon dessert and all day cofffee and water. Very comfortable bed, massage chair and hot springs. Only minor issue is too many people in Breakfast area, guess that means how popular the hotel is.
Nice, clean, good breakfast
……….
Facility was perfect and felt like a ryokan despite not being one! However, it was incredibly crowded during our time, so we couldn’t enjoy the onsite onsen or other amenities.
Except for the location, nothing is considered Good here. Old facility, poor service, stuffed by tour groups. I couldn’t breathe once I walked in, Taiwanese tour groups were loud and rude. The experience was bad, Expedia controlled the rate.
We got a double bed and it was spacious, paid breakfast was worth it and from 2100-2300hrs, there was free ramen and ice cream. The hot springs were segregated between men and women, there’s also full body massage chairs. Everybody was helpful and transportation / konbini was walking distance as well from the Shinkansen / JR line. Would recommend to anybody looking to explore these options / visiting Kyoto.
Great area convenient with nice onsen and amenities. Wish there were more massage chairs
Nice place to relax after a long day tour , convenient to train to station , staffs are great and cleaned ,
Hot bath.
Great breakfast and onsen, might get crowded at times but the hotel is run extremely well
Excellent breakfast and late night ramen and ice cream.
Wonderful stay and hot springs
Amazing hotel with great service and such lovely hospitality. The Onsen were fantastic. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend
This is an excellent place
Very clean, excellent service and great food!
Thank you !! Made my Kyoto trip
Wow !! The Onsen, free coffee, ice cream and massage chair !! Just wow everyone speaks English . Almost the best part of Kyoto was chilling here ! I don’t believe you can get this for the price !
The onsen and added extras here made it a great stay
Loved our stay.
We enjoyed our stay immensely. We were first greeted at the door to introduce us to the no shoe policy and they cleaned the bottom of our suitcases. The onsen was very enjoyable. The beds are comfortable. The shower was great. This is a large hotel, but it never felt over crowded.
Excellent place to stay in Kyoto! We love the onsen and extra amenities ( ice cream and late night ramen). The breakfast is the best with variety of Japanese and western options. I will definitely come back again and recommend this hotel to my friends.
The hot springs that they offer was amazing and well designed even for foreigners, just have to be open to the culture while in there. Offered a few amenities for free. Hot spring rooms was open very late which was perfect to use after a long day and night walking around Kyoto. Will book again next visit to Japan.
Comfortable fun stay
Busy hotel but service was efficient. Loved the authentic feel with the tatami mats. The onsen was wonderful- many different baths and even when it was busy didn’t feel overly crowded. The breakfast was delicious! We loved the small extras like free ramen and ice cream.
Kyoto Hot Springs
We really enjoyed our staying. We opted to not have room cleaned daily, but received clean towels daily and timely. The hot springs were great, and the snacks offered were amazing. The breakfast was great too, lots of options. I'd recommend friends to stay and would stay here again next time. It close to Kyoto Station shopping area and many transportation options by subway or by bus.
I wish I could stay longer. Great location! Close to dining, shopping and transportation. The staff is friendly and attentive and the service is amazing.
Overall this was a very good stay. You take your shoes off upon entering the hotel. You are not allowed to wear your shoes. You get the traditional vibe. The room was clean. The staff were attentive. Our room did not have a bath tub. If you have tattoos you will NOT be able to use the spa/sauna bath. Which I know Japan is notorious for not allowing tattoos. But I was hoping since so many tourists stay there they would be a little lenient.
i love this property. it is big and with all the tatami floor all over the property, it is very nice. the onsen was good , never crowded. breakfast was awesome lots of selection. the room we had was spacious. I will go back to Onyado Nono for sure. The only thing i dont like about this hotel is that it is quite busy with a lot of people. you may have to line up to get breakfast or to use the massage chair.
A great hotel that I plan to return to.
This Onsen hotel was so much fun to stay at. My family, 2 kids aged 8 and 11 had so much fun and enjoyed all the amenities. The breakfast was amazing and had so much variety. Everything tasted so good. This hotel was our favorite hotel during our whole trip. Would definitely come back and stay here again!
Love the food choices and onsen!
Free ramen and ice cream!
Free ramen and ice cream at night plus the massage chairs (although sometimes there's a line), were a really pleasant surprise. The furo bath area was a little crowded at times but once you've cleaned yourself there are multiple soaking pools including a meditation pool with dim lighting and soothing music. My favorite was the outdoor soaking pool. It's also the hottest so often I had it all to myself. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Great hot chocolate if that's your thing. Very comfortable beds. An easy, flat, three-block walk from Kyoto Station. Highly recommend.
It is a very clean property. A lot of facilities like massage chairs , hot spring bath , free supper , ice cream , free dessert , this hotel provide a lot of services like storage luggage’s . Friendly staffs and it makes you feel like very welcome . Close under subway passage to Kyoto stations . I can walk through it and avoid raining, cold , sun to this hotel . I stayed 3 nights and the only weak point , they only provide clean towels everyday but not cleaning the room for 3 days . It makes all the rubbish over stacks on the dustbin . For the rest , Onyado Nono is a great hotel to stay in .
Awesome stay
Awesome staff. Opted for no cleaning. Love the idea of no shoes from entrance onwards. Generally clean environment. The Onsen is amazing with many pools. The breakfast is awesome as well.
Great location close to train station. Efficient check in. Onsen is wonderful with several pools. free massage chairs, icecreams and Ramon. This was a great place to finish off our stay in Kyoto and unwind.
Breakfast and the onsen was amazing. I love the complimentary ramen that they serve from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Wonderful experience in a superb reasonably priced facility, top marks to great staff at every level-
Loved the all you can eat breakfast. Staff members were very kind and helpful. The different hot springs inside the property were amazing. The hours of use was convenient. Easy for people to relax at the end of the day. Love the convenience of the location. Not far from the Kyoto Station for trains or bus. A few sightseeing places were walkable distances. Very relaxing stay. Would definitely stay there again in the future.
Nice hotel with onsen. Walkable to bus station. There is a convenience store nearby. A few restaurants too. I enjoyed my experience except that the place for taking off shoes smells so bad. I’m sure they can use some product to fix the odour. But anyway it’s not their fault. Not everyone has the best hygiene about their shoes. Other than that I had a really nice stay there. Breakfast is so good too. I regret I missed it on my first 2 days
Free ramen and ice cream, onsen, amazing breakfast buffet, plus great location near Kyoto station!
Our experience was great. The food, Onsen, room and location were excellent. Lived the massage chairs and all the extras. I would definitely stay again.
Great place, hot spring pool is a wonderful experience, breakfast buffet is unbelievable
indoor onsen hotel
Good location , ten mins from Kyoto station , they have indoor onsen to wash away your fatigue from all that walking . Hotel offers free supper in the form of noodles in a delicious soya sauce based stock .
This was a great experience and the best part was the Onsen.
We loved the massage chair and ice cream bar, hot spring was so nice especially after walking in the rain whole day, we are not super fan of the breakfast, maybe our expectations was too high. The location is great, it’s close to Kyoto tower and shopping mall, lots of restaurants nearby.overall, great experience.
Onsen was good.
The onsen truly one of the best I've ever been to. Peaceful, relaxing and felt wonderfully cared for.
This hotel was great and an excellent price point! I would recommend it to anyone looking to visit Kyoto and save on accommodations. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with tons of options. The hotel feels like a large operation and staff are moving people through, but taking your shoes off makes it feel more homey. The room was much more spacious than other rooms we experience in Japan. Super clean. It was close to Kyoto station, but not close to anything else we wanted to do/see/eat in Kyoto. Proximity to the station made it easy to get around, though!
Great place to unwind and have some alone time in the Onsen
This is a 9/10 property.all the amenities are amazing the only reason is not a 10 is that their pillows are not comfortable at all. That would be my only comment to the management. Other than that we lived our stay. They have one of the best onsen/ spa areas. Their lounge wear is comfortable and their breakfast is amazing.
This is a superb hotel. Beautifully decorated. Fabulous baths. Tatami through out. Excellent staff. Very nice breakfast buffet. I would highly recommend this hotel!
Very nice traditional hotel
Very relaxing onsen experience, breakfast is foodie’s heaven.
Comfortable
The rooms are bigger than a typical Japanese hotel room. Staff was great, very good breakfast. Onsen was our decision to book with this hotel.
Everything was perfect. Thank you!
great place, clean rooms and all the amenities were very nice
Everything was close to the hotel, would stay here again. Must try the hot springs pool and the massage chairs!
Amazon onsen. Easy to check in and great amenities. Would stay again
Me & my friends first trip together in Japan and couldn’t have picked a better location! Love staying here! Free ice cream and massage chairs put me to sleep. This place is very comfortable and cozy. I will probably bring family here next time on another trip back to Japan!
The breakfast is amazing. Facilities extremely clean and beautiful. I love the Onsen. The female side has 3 levels and multiple types of baths. Onsen hours open early and close late which is ideal for me to take advantage of the healing benefits morning and night. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend.
I wanted to check out Kyoto and had wished I would have booked this in advance as it was excellent. Def gave me more of the old Japanese feel by talking off your shoes before you even check in.
The hotel rooms were not as clean as expected . There was no room clearing service provided for the 3 nights we stayed so my expectation is that the room to be spotlessly clean before the guests arrive.
So so
good place to stay in kyoto
I loved this stay! I was in japan with my fiancé for 2 weeks. This was the best spot we stayed at! Delicious breakfast, clean hotel, everything was orderly and well organized. I loved the onsen & complimentary ice cream!
Great experience all around. The onsen and the breakfast was awesome. All the little touches that the hotel offers like ramen and desserts make for a fun stay. Would definitely stay again.
Place was perfect! Not too far from shopping center but far enough to not be crowded. Would highly recommend staying here if youre visiting Kyoto.
Highly recommend
A really fabulous place in the center of Kyoto. Great access to the station and transport to get around the city. Definitely recommend the buffet breakfast. A really great treat and delicious to boot! The room was spacious and comfortable. All the added amenities in the complex are also great, particularly the hot springs and the massage chairs. Highly recommend this to anyone planning to stay in Kyoto
Great location
