Everything about this property is Just Right! Vey close to airport, but easy to get to center via public transportation. Breakfast was perfect with fresh juices, fruits, proteins, pastries. Coffee machine in room (I need it alway appreciate good coffee at my stays with time change US/Europe). Biggest surprise was a dinner at the Hotel restaurant! Nothing average! Glass of seasonal draft beer after long flight and cheesecake with fresh (like just from garden) fruits- a home run! Thank you for everything!
Very nice and well kept hotel. Highly Recommend
Efficient and friendly staff
We loved our stay at this hotel. Everything was clean, the room was spacious and we loved our view. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Trams are less than 10minute walk away so very easy access to the centre. Would definitely come back.
The staff are lovely, (yet their knowledge of the surrounding area poor) The location worked out perfectly for us. However the restaurant is so over priced. The dinner menu was limited, food was cold, and absolutely not worth the money. Again though the staff are lovely. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and I wholeheartedly recommend researching them. Along with this the breakfast price is ridiculous, and not amenable if your child only wants a bread roll.. The pillows in the room are awful, (please please change them), all 3 of us had either neck or back pains the following day. The tv didn’t work. Not sure when the staff clean the rooms but seemed to come in and out much much later in the day/evening. Being in a family room I’d have thought this might have been seen to in the morning or afternoon. Not at 6.30-7pm? Our room view was lovely.. the hotel absolutely has potential to be more than great.
Read the reviews before booking did not disappoint. Clean , well located easy access to public transportation.
Get rid of the pillows!!
I loved everything about this hotel, the food, the drinks, the service, the decor, the view - everything except for the ridiculous over-stuffed pillows on the bed. I just couldn’t get comfortable with their oversized shape. Get rid of the pillows and the hotel would be perfect.
Ut was close to the workshop venue, farens stadion
Great staff service at the front desk. Very nice hotel with easy access to public transportation.
We enjoyed our stay at the Olympic hotel it was nice room , clean and accessible transportation . 10-15 minutes away from the airport . Very convenient and the restaurant has good food
Quiet and comfortable stay at this property. Fair walking distance from transport options. Didnt try the restaurant but the menu has quite a few options
The property is very nice and the views of the Olympic stadium Are beautiful
Felt like most of what I was paying was for the view. Hotel lacked basic amenities like a smart tv, toothpaste etc. Room was pretty basic and transport wasn’t as convenient compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at before in Amsterdam yet not too bad nonetheless.
The Olympic hotel is stunning. From the moment you walk in, it’s stunning. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Our room has a beautiful view of the city in the distance. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Our rooms were serviced everyday, even on the weekend. We booked a breakfast which was delicious. Transport was a short walk to the trams and the train station was not to far away.
God
The room is spotless, and the lobby offers a welcoming vibe with a well-stocked bar and cozy, comfortable couches.
Beautiful hotel, great transport to central Amsterdam, welcoming staff, good standard of cleaning and fresh towels daily. Coffee machine came with no instructions, faulty wiring on lamp and not keen to the laundry detergent..had an odd smell of chip fat.
Beautiful rooms and view from the luxurious room with whirlpool bath
If staying here book the luxurious room with bath and shower beautiful view
Great hotel to stay. However, the carpet is really old and heavily stained. The hotel is outside of city center and not many amenities around. Transportation is convenient. The breakfast buffet was excellent. For our tour through Amsterdam, the hotel met all our requirements, so we very happy with our stay.
Nice hotel, rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds . Big windows with a view of the city . Very good breakfast, plenty of options of good food. Paid parking available. Close to the centrum.
All good
Convenient location; welcoming reception area. Air conditioning in rooms does not work. Far too hot. Reception staff not very helpful when raised this comcern
Nice
We stayed 3 nights and participated in the Amsterdam Marathon. The dinner on Saturday was well below our expectations with a completely frozen apple pie as low light. The free drink we got did not make up for that and the fact that three different servers continuously mixed up our order. The room was outdated and parking a bit far away. If you run the Amsterdam Marathon the location is golden - for anything else there are many better options around.
Quite rooms, confortable and lots of variety for breakfast. Definitely a good option to stay in Amsterdam and the hotel it’s near bus stops and metro
Far from the city, but walking distance to the tram and buses, also walking distance to a huge supermarket and restaurant and convenience store. On the river with a view. Right next to the stadium. Prices fluctuate. If you can get for under an hundred dollars a night it’s a good idea.
Disappointing
I had a good stay until the end. The staff was excellent, the property was clean and attractive. But to be refused a one hour courtesy extension of the early 11:00 am checkout time was very disappointing, especially coming after a three day stay. It's enough to deter me from returning.
A very nice hotel, close to airport. There's a great Michelin-star restaurant "Wils" with very reasonable prices just a few minutes away by walking:)
Lovely hotel. Beautiful views. Walkable. The staff was courteous, kind, and friendly.
Perfect, nice reception, clean room, will be back
This Hotel will always be the place where i stay when im in Amsterdam, i have been there 9 times so dar and its amazing! Its a bit far but i love how spacious and the view room 😍
Great hotel
Great hotel, good location, quite, clean and comfortable! What else do u need?
This hotel was the best thing in Amsterdam
Excellent
We stayed on the top floor. There was a window from floor to ceiling to have a beautiful view of the city and canals. It was a very comfortable night.
Place
Lovely staff.
Very well kept installations
Nice friendly staff , cared for the guest I was very impressed by customer service from all employees - had a great time with family
Great experience here. Near old Olympic Stadium and local canals and green spaces for walks. Restaurant was very good as well
The staff at the Olympic hotel is friendly, professional and really accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the facilities are really good too. Great place!!!
Good option not in the centre
Interesting slightly retro decor which I liked. Large, central bar and good onsite Asian restaurant. Handy for the tram into the city centre. Comfortable and spacious room.
Second time staying at the Olympic Hotel. Unfortunately, this time I requested a double bed and got to single beds so not ideal but then on top of that, the maid service didn't come on my first morning. I then went and spoke to a maid to ask if they would clean my room, she said 'yes but you have to leave the room for a bit'...no problem but I went to the lobby for an hour and came back up to find the room untouched. On top of that, some of the staff at reception are a bit frosty, they aren't very welcoming but thats not the biggest deal I suppose. Other than that, I love the design of the hotel lobby and I enjoy using the gym and jacuzzi but after this stay I might choose to explore other hotels next time I come to Amsterdam. Its a shame because I was thinking that I would make this my home away from home in Amsterdam but now I think I have changed my mind.
We were under the impression that a pool would be available during our stay, but it turned out to be just a hot tub, which was also not available for booking.

Disappointed with a hotel tax bill as soon as I arrived
On arrival to our room we discovered the temperature control was broken and was far too hot. The hotel staff agreed and moved us to another room. However, the following night we were told we need to move again to another room and the third night we were told to move again. It disrupted the whole holiday and meant what was meant to be a relaxing 3 night break ended up moving every night
Looks nice but failed at some basic things
When I booked I got the option of a double or a twin room. I chose double, but they gave me a twin. The hotel has a restaurant but it was closed for lunch (although they were serving some food). There were six plug points in my room, only two worked.
Clean
Nice place
It's 10-12 minutes walking from 51 Metro station, can be a bit tiring if you are arriving Amsterdam with few luggage. Unless you use taxi or Uber. Also there ain't a lot of restaurants or shops around, you need to walk or take bus to get to the eat zones. The room we had is not that big, consider the price we have paid. That means this hotel is a bit costly. Other than that, it's a good hotel.
The hotel had bike rentals, was a short walk from public transport, restaurants and Albert Heijn. Very nice rooms and great tubs in the premium rooms.
Great property! Stayed in a room with a canal view and it was beautiful. Loved waking up to the canal and Olympic stadium. The hot tubs were great as well!
Nice, clean, and modern
Very nice and modern hotel! Great rooms and close to train station! I highly recommended..
Great hotel
Great beds ,great view from our room, good breakfast ,plenty variety. Near train station.good shower . I would recommend this hotel.
We will definitely stay here again!
This was a great hotel! The staff was kind and the common areas were nice and clean! We had an amazing view from our room and we had a 2 person jacuzzi tub!!
We really liked the hotel, easy transport links to the centre but far enough out to feel calm and quiet. The hotel looks really modern and has a lovely bar/lounge area. It was unfortunate that the daily cleaning could have been better and things like the in-room complimentary tea and coffee weren't refreshed. The sheets were clean but the duvets themselves were stained (revealed when the sheet slipped off one night). The staff answered our queries and were helpful and efficient but not particularly friendly. We would stay again if we got the chance, but a few things could be tweaked to make it a 5 star stay!
Good Spot and Family Friendly
It was a bit expensive for the small room we got but the place was clean and service was great. Very close to many dining and grocery options one can walk to.
Great place! Easy to access the center of A-dam via tram and buses.
It is a good hotel and its location is acceptable, The staff in the reception are great characterized by the availability of parking, and this is an advantage.
Everything
Overall good! Nice experience. Staff friendly and helpful.
Great staff.
I didn’t receive any benefits, even though this was a VIP access hotel. Also, stay away from the jacuzzi- it is extremely dirty and will irritate your skin.
Hersey kotu
Finding a parking was not easy
We had a wonderful time and stay at this hotel. Our room had a beautiful view with the canal, stadium, and the city buildings. The property was close to the train station, tram, and bus. The staff were very friendly, helpful, accommodating, and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. We happened to order room service. The food was excellent, and also delicious. Definitely, whenever we are visiting Amsterdam we will be staying at this hotel. Highly recommend this place. Thank you so much!
Pathetic hotel with pathetic service. Dirty I checked in and immediately noticed the dirt, bed bugs, rude staff and unfriendly service
Beautiful views, nice hotel and staff!
Grape property
Shower drain was clogged I message via app no response I walk to front desk he say sorry will send someone to fix issue nobody came we wasn’t able to shower and on checkout I told them he is like nothing ok ok ok no problem
AC turns off randomly, so its always warm in the room after a day out
The parking, there was screws, valves & other bicycle parks all over the grounds leading to the inside parking, to which my friend ended up with a screw through the rear tyre of his motorcycle. Was also told that I had to pay for parking when it said it was free, and it also said that all races were paid and on arrival I had to pay a tourist tax.
Staff were very nice and helpful, property is very pretty and the view from our room was gorgeous!
Stay and room were very good. Good clean room and the view was worth the upgrade. The spa bath tub was broken, so we couldn't benefit from that, apart from that everything was good. Hotel is a bit of a distance from the city, but good access to public transport is conveniently available.
Very comfortable, clean hotel in South Amsterdam. Easy access to transportation, nice location in former Olympic park. Great breakfast buffet, nice bar and lounge area. Would cone again.
Very good hotel
Hotel was really nice. Could use the hot tubs and sauna. In good location.
Very nice location in a quiet neighbourhood. Close to the Zuidplein train station.
The Olympic Hotel is in one of the most wholesome, beautiful family settings possible. Recommend.
Amazing view of the city, canals, and the olympic stadium from 1928! Great drinks (can't put it on your room because it isn't ran by the hotel but not that big of a deal). Easy location closer to the airport. Amazing Indian Restaurant Swagat close by. Delicous! Thank you for easy check in and easy check out! :)
Great location, farmers market over the weekend
The location was great. There are trams and buses just a few minutes’ walk away. The beds were comfortable and clean. We accidentally stumbled upon a farmers market over the weekend while looking for food. It had a fantastic fish stall with very reasonable prices. The only downside was the clogged drains in the shower and sink
Nice hotel located near touristic attractions (walking and via metro/bus). Good breakfast!
Nice and clean
Hotel was everything you’d want in a hotel. Clean, in a nice area, close to public transit, nice restaurant, amenities, etc. The best thing to me though was the shower. Nicest hotel shower I’ve ever had. Would go back just for that alone.
After visiting the city on the first day of our arrival, we returned to our room at 4 PM and found it neither clean nor ready. I called the reception to request room cleaning and mentioned that we would be leaving in half an hour, so they could clean the room after we left. However, the cleaning staff arrived and told us that they would either clean the room immediately or not at all, as their shift ended at 4:30 PM. Both the cleaning staff and the reception had an unpleasant manner. Eventually, we had no option but to leave the room earlier than planned so they could clean it. When we returned, we saw that they hadn't cleaned the room properly; they had just made the bed and hadn't even replaced the empty facial tissue and coffee cups!
Very good. E
Property was very clean and nice. The staff were a bit rude at times
Staff was great
Great hotel. Well Maintained, and lovely staff at a respectable price!
Highly recommended
Great hotel in a great location. Good sized rooms and excellent for families.
NA
Not my usual Amsterdam hotel but a very pleasant stay. Meal options nearby are limited but the hotel restaurant was very good. Good areas on ground floor to chill.
It was a good price, and provided a family.room (3 single beds). Public transport only 8mins away, including the Metro, the tram and buses. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good and area very clean and well maintained. We used the hot tub, which was lovely to look over the river and relax in.
No drinking water in the room. The phone was not working, which means I had to get downstairs to check how to get drinking water. Which I did, and then was told drink water was only provided through a vending machine. And then the vending machine didn't work with credit card, the receptionist actually didn't believe me. Only after I tried several times did she tell me that it was because the item I chose cannot be paid using credit card. Then I went up to the room to get cash, and was told that the machine only accept coins, meaning I have to buy coins from the reception and then get back to the vending machine... In the end, it took me more than 20 minutes just to get some drinking water. And the story how I got a power adapter is even longer. It just shouldn't be like that.
Limited transportation methods.
Where do I even begin, me and my partner turn up to the hotel to be greeted with a heavy tourist tax even though our quote from Expedia was low. We questioned this with the staff as something was not right! They turned around and say our tourist tax is different to expedias charges. We have recently emailed Expedia to ask this. Where Expedia have told us that the hotel are wrong and they should not have charged that amount. We are absolutely furious! Expedia have emailed the hotel to also question this which the hotel replied “they have restrictions and policies in place and will not offer us a refund”. So this hotel like to rob people blind. After HAVING to pay this ridiculous price we went to our hotel room to find an empty bottle of hand soap displayed. We left this as we arrived late and knew we would have cleaners each morning to refill the bottles. We stayed there for 4 nights and the hand soap was NEVER refilled. They would come in and make the beds, change the towels but not refill bottles or clean properly. We also paid for breakfast, which every single morning the staff greeting people to breakfast would tell us that we don’t have breakfast included, where we would then have to walk over to reception and be told we do have breakfast included. We had to repeat this to the SAME GUY greeting everyone for breakfast EVERY SINGLE MORNING! I even explained that this is quite frustrating to the lady on reception and to please sort it out. Which it was not! Terrible hotel
Great stay!
We showed up early only intending to drop our bags off but our room was ready early and it was so convenient after an early morning of travel.
