Old Harbor is always our go-to place. We have never had a bad experience. It's top notch fort sure!
Right on the harbor! Loved it!
very reasonable off season. Town stays lively in winter. Make sure you get a harbor view. The cheaper rooms are as good as the expensive ones.
Cute. Great views. Very quiet, during off season. Would love to come back during Summer months.
Great place I will be back.
Winter dreamland for the weekend. Love the room with the hotel on the Harbor. Downtown was wonderful. Staff fantastic.
We loved it! Everything was perfect.
Terrific location and friendly staff
We paid extra to be in a room with a hot tub, but unfortunately, it only fit one person comfortably. There were several items that needed repair. The room was, however, very clean and the staff was friendly. It was a lovely experience, but I would not pay the amount of money I paid to stay there again.
Service was awesome appreciate the help.
Great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this property.
I was impressed by this adorable hotel. It was clean, and super comfy. I was not impressed by the price. I suppose if there was breakfast offered, that would have softened the blow. But overall, it was nice and convenient. A morning walk to the beach was also a nice. We stayed in October and didn’t realize everything shut down at 7pm. I would stay again in the summer time.
Nice place
Such a cute place.
Great Treasure
This hotel was so adorable and nestled in a perfect spot. We had the presidential suite. It was large and looked out over the quaintest little area. The room was well furnished and very clean. I would highly recommend Old Harbor Inn and plan on repeat visits there.
It's an older property but well maintained and right on the water. Staff is friendly and you can walk everywhere. It's quieter this time of year, will definitely come back in summer to visit them. Beautiful beaches.
beautiful LOCATION. right ON THE RIVER
On the Waterfront
great location, walked to anything downtown.
Old Harbor is the only place we stay when visiting South Haven. We will never stay anywhere else!
Greet Stay!
Wonderful river side room… clean with ample amenities. Close to downtown area. We’ll be back!
We so loved our stay here! This community is kind and welcoming! So important when you are traveling! The rooms here are exceptional. We will come back!
Beautiful quaint Inn in the heart of a wonderful small town. Easy walk to shopping, antiquing, dining, coffee/bakery, and the beach. Perfection!
Tha is!
Nice area. Highly recommend. Room above bar and grill gets hot
Be very cautious with billing system
We had a wonderful stay
The inn is a quaint place with a staff who goes above and beyond. The lady who checked us in walked over to the building our room was in to show us the way. The room was very clean and had plenty of lights and windows. The room had a kitchen and couch with a tv and fireplace. The location is perfect right on the water and there are two bar/restaurants that are on the property which we were happy about since we went to dinner late. There is also shopping along the boardwalk with some really cute shops. We will definitely be back!
Nice yet no thanks again we go elsewhere
Check in lady excellent nice upbeat kind Hotel located in great area concerns are Paper thin wall units above lots of noisy even flushing to toilet whooosh all the way down prices Room clean up poor not vacuumed same Debris three days in carpet coffee machine not empty or cleaned Coffee shop banging noisy 6am adjoining walls room 15 woke us up every day Great harbor views Way too much light comes in bedrooms need blackouts
Very nice hotel. Comfy beds. Hot water. Friendly staff, and the hotel was clean.
Great area. Rooms are very nice. Parking is downtown and not designated, but worked out okay during our stay.
Front desk lady was so nice. Our room was downstairs close to the attached bar and grill where the food, drinks, and evening ambiance were excellent. Room was nice; spacious and pleasantly decorated. Property is about a quarter mile from the beach where we watched one of the best sunsets. Would definitely stay here again. There is no dedicated parking, which could be an issue during the summer. We stayed at the end of Sept when street parking was always available.
Super cute area. Nice room.
Had a great visit. Check in was easy and the staff was kind and knowledgeable. Room was large and clean. It was quiet and the views were amazing. Will definitely be going back and recommending to others
There was a delivery at 6AM which woke us up by the noise.
Nice place to stay
Great hotel featuring different rooms to meet your needs. We were in room 43. The bed was literally the best bed I have ever slept in. Room was very comfortable. View of boats was great. Staff was excellentandvery helpful. We were there in mid-Sept and it was just perfect. We am definitely planning on going back to this wonderful hotel. Parking is on street or in lot across the street. Just be aware of this
The front desk was very accommodating and kind in regards to check in and check out.
Lovely hotel
Very clean. No dislikes
We loved staying here. Private balcony on the water. Convenient to walk everywhere. Staff is extremely nice and genuine.
Very quaint, comfortable and clean. Great view of the harbor and a nice workout gym. Wonderful parking options. Solid WiFi.
Great people
Wish there was a shuttle to take us to the beach. With all of our gear it was a miserable hilly walk. We spoke to other guests and they all agreed it would have been a fantastic idea. *offer shuttles 😊*
Great location and value.. very good housekeeping staff and friendly front desk! Location, Location, Location
Overall, I loved it. The staff was especially kind and friendly. Lovely hotel, view, location. Only suggestions would be clean the balcony (spider webs, dead bugs) and have comfortable cushions/seating. The tv should be directly across from the bed, but it was a very comfortable and restful stay!
We loved the location and unique room and the town was walkable! The only downside was the bed in our room was so uncomfortable it was hard to sleep. The bed had a big dent in the middle and had at least 2 of those foam toppers on top of the sagging mattress
Perfect for family with kids
We stayed in the larger two-bedroom suite. It was perfect for our group of six. The room was clean and spacious. The kids loved eating in the balcony and watching the boats in the harbor. There was a restaurant with music nearby but we couldn’t hear anything while inside the room.
No fan in bathroom. The room appeared clean. Bathroom had mold on shower curtain. Probably from not having a fan. It was in a very nice walkable spot. We could see the water. Balcony is super small. Over all for the age of the building it’s nice. Staff was very nice.
Great stuff, clean property
Beautiful view
We loved our stay at Old Harbor Inn. Very convenient location and loved the atmosphere!! The front desk lady was very inviting and informative!
A nifty place that gives off a classic South Haven feel. Excellent location. Perfectly clean, a comfortable bed, spacious room, balcony had a great view, and lots of attention to details to make the room feel welcoming. The inn is old and some things look very dated. I wouldn’t care about that at all except that I paid a pretty penny for one night. However, it’s reasonable to accept that the price reflects getting to experience the nostalgia and charm of the inn.
The staff was so friendly and personable. Perfect beach town location with amazing harbor view rooms. Could not recommend more!
Perfection
We arrived around 1:30 and just wanted to see if we could purchase a parking spot. They had a spot available and also informed us that our room was ready and we could check in early! Little things like this go a long ways with me! The room was beautiful and clean, the service was excellent, the shower had amazing water pressure lol. No complaints from us!
Excellent
Excellent location
Location is superb. Parking is challenging.
Love it! Always clean & close to everything!
Nice location and big space.
This is such a quaint town. You can walk to shops, the beach , and the lighthouse.
Wonderful hotel and really enjoyable area surrounding the hotel. Will absolutely stay again.
Comfortable Stay, Room does need room darkening shades.
Great location and quiet despite being in a busy area.
Enjoyed sitting on the private deck watching the boat traffic on the river. Excellent location for restaurants and a nice walk to the lake and beaches. Free parking in the municipal lot across the street. We would stay here next time we go to South Haven.
It was very nice to get away! Very nice
Nice
Beautiful stay right on the water. The lady that checked us in was great.. so kind and informative. Very clean and quiet. So many options for dining and shopping close by. Short walk out to the lighthouse. Would highly recommend and definitely would stay again.
Loved it
It was right on the Black River and easy to walk to shopping, food and beach. :).
Beautiful view of bay and shoppings
Lovely older hotel on the channel.
Friendly staff! Walk to food, shopping, beach. Great towels and linens.
The view and location was amazing
There were two couples and we had the opportunity to have a room facing the Harbor view. It was absolutely amazing. The staff,Tammy and Dawn were awesome. We are looking forward to going back again.
It was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the come up and down the River we also enjoyed being able to walk the town. The room itself was big and roomy. the beds comfortable.
Pleasantly Surprised
We've been to South Haven many times and often passed this place by. We wanted to try something different because it was our anniversary and the off season. We were pleasantly surprised. My only thing was the parking. I don't know what people during the peak season, we know the area gets nuts with parking.
Great place to stay in the middle of lots of restaurants and drinking establishments. Great views
Super cute little Inn. Perfect for a weekend trip, we only stayed for one night but I wish we could’ve stayed a little longer. The beach was walking distance, too cold to spend the day but would totally come back here to stay when it’s warmer!
We expected old and dated, but we were pleasantly surprised! It was beautiful and updated. Spacious and comfortable. Clean. We will be back.
I would have given a 5 for this property except for all the spiders and spider webs all over the balcony area
Unique lodging experience overlooking the Black River. Very nice room. Excellent staff service. In the midst of the historic district with lots of restaurants and shopping in easy walking distance. Only issues: next to an outside bar that plays music until midnight (at least on weekends). Blinds do not keep out the light very well. No dedicated parking.
Loved staying here! My husband and I got away for my birthday weekend (Memorial Day weekend). The front desk associates were very pleasent and really worked to accommodate our stay. We were greeted with a card as it was also an anniversary trip! The kissing swan towels on the bed topped it off! The only thing I would say is plan for parking. Or plan to park and walk for your stay. Everything you need is in walking distance and with beautiful views ! I would suggest sunset dinner on the Idler! We did have to leave the village twice and had to find parking - but it was also Memorial Day weekend so it was pretty busy on the harbor. Regardless we loved every minute of our stay . It was much needed for the both of us (no kids this time) and we have now found our new Michigan spot! We’ll be back this summer FOR SURE!
Check in was great, they were so helpful, and provided a spot to store our bikes off of the street. The room was clean and nice and had a nice view of the harbor.
When we first arrived at our property, we had no hot water. Had to take a shower for our engagement photos so we were on a tight schedule. The staff was very accommodating and was able to move us to another room in a timely manner. Well done.
Location was great! Walking distance to almost everything. Room was roomy and very clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
I absolutely loved the Old Harbor Inn and Village. A couple bar/restaurant barges are right behind the Inn along with a handful of shops. Additional shops and restaurants are within an easy 1 block walk. The room was spotless and comfortable. My room had a spacious bathroom, a small kitchenette and a very comfortable seating area to watch TV. The staff were friendly and helpful. This Inn is a real gem.
Great location.
Nice room with a small balcony over looking the harbor. Very tranquil
Lack of parking. The bar playing the loud music till 2am.
We’ll be back..loved it
A beautiful location overlooking the marina. Friendly and helpful staff, especially on check-in..(the wonderful woman from Arkansas.). Nice room. Sweet little town with lots of shops and restaurants.. ..lovely walking along the water and out to the lighthouse. We’ll be back…
Awesome Place!!
The property is unique in that no two rooms are alike. All are gorgeous with great views. The bed was one of the most comfortable that I have slept in. A great experience.
Great experience
Great experience. Friendly staff. Everything was prepared. Great room.
Staff was absolutely amazing! Can walk to anywhere in town from this location! Hotel room was clean and absolutely lovely. Will for sure be back!
Right on the waterfront
Cute place
Went here for one night for a quick honeymoon after our wedding. The room was nice, with some helpful extras such as coffee cups, plates, bowls, silverware, and water. It is a great location which is walking distance to everything.
Perfect stay
Love this place! Will be back for sure!
Harbor views
This place is very nice. It’s located In a safe neighborhood and there are plenty of shops and beaches that you can walk to. I took my mom here for an early Mother’s Day present and she loved it. We will definitely stay here again if we get the chance.
Would stay again. Great location.
Friendly staff. Great shower! Walk to pier, dining, shops. Enjoyed the Harbor View.
