Convenient location.

Old fashioned and depressing decor. Hard squeaky iron beds. Flimsy shower door. How the owner kept a straight face when describing the continental breakfast offered in rooms.... it was a load of the cheapest, non branded long life packaged products I have ever seen. POOR!

The Inn is very close to the train station and the concierge is a nice and helpful. The rooms are dated including the old spring mattresses, but the outer windows do a good job suppressing the street noise. The roll down shutters block the light. My bathroom wasn't good and was missing a sliding panel to the shower door and a some mold was growing on the ceiling. Even at 130 Euro for a quick one night stay to catch the train, I was expecting a little more.

Good little place

Right in front of train station, 5 minutes of walk of bus station, 5-15 minutes of walk of everything... (Uffizi museum, galleria dell academia, ponte vecchio, pretty much all major churh..) Good Window, you wont hear anything from outside. Everything is perfect, but i like smooth matress and this one was really hard. Since everyone has its own preference about this, i still give 5* , really nice place near everything!

Clean, convenient to train station, access a little complicated, lift constrained, but was a nice place to stay for us because it was close to train station.

Florence find

I brought a tour group of women with me and we all agreed that the rooms were large, comfortable, clean and safe. Check in was great, breakfast, although different and a little disappointing after what we had experienced, was adequate for a couple of days and location near the train station was great. Would recommend for short stays definitely.

Florence is always lovely and so was this hotel

We were so glad that we booked at the Old Florence Inn. It was an easy walk from the train station. The street was busy but the rooms are on an upper level with sound diminishing windows. There’s an elevator. The room was spacious with a balcony. A nice breakfast tray was provided. Also, an anytime coffee maker in the lounge

The blackout shades worked perfectly. Beds are very comfortable and the windows blocked out all the noise. I slept very well

awsome trip and great accomodations

It was wonderful. Old Florence Inn is right around the corner from Santa Maria Novella train station and the fast tram out to the airport. They are close to a grocery store so if we were tired from all our walking, we'd pick up a light supper and wine and have a meal in our room. Delightful people managing the place who were VERY helpful about buses, places to visit and activities in the area. We'd certainly go back and stay there again.

Very close to train station and market

A very convenient location traveling into Florence by train - only a few minutes walk away from the train station (and easy to find!). It's in an older building so expect the lift (elevator) to be quite small - perhaps 2 people and luggage. The rooms themselves are roomy and comfortable. Location is great for exploring the area - only a few blocks walk to the Florence Market (something not to be missed), and a laundry facility close by (a word - change is given in Euros and "Dexters" - you can use either for laundry but the "Dexters" can only be used at the laundry. The only small downside to this Inn was the breakfast - all pre-packaged the day before. The breakfasts were adequate, plenty of coffee available, and a couple of bakeries close by - you certainly won't go hungry.

You could find better

The location was great right by the train station which was why we booked it. It was also very easy to get to the Mercado and many other sites in Florence. The rooms however were old and quite outdated. The bathroom was very small. So small it was even impossible to sit on the toilet normally. The shower really needed to be redone. I also would not consider the “breakfast” something that most people would want to eat. We skipped the instant coffee and pre packaged bake goods for some excellent bakeries and espresso shops down the street.

The Inn is located within walking distance to Florence's Central train station and easily accessible to all forms of public transport. It's also located close to great shopping, restaurants and all the main tourist sites.

A beautiful cozy Inn in the the heart of Florence. Very well kept, lovely room, and the staff are superb in assisting you in any way. I highly recommendthe Old Florence Inn!

Very convenient to train station and wonderful restaurants. Friendly staff. Breakfast is prepackaged goods, but there is hot water kettle in the room for tea or coffee, and there is coffee in the lounge area.

Good

Check in experience was good and staff was nice. Definitely an older place but we thought it was cute and quaint. The only issue is that the hotel isn't well marked and is somewhat difficult to find. It is in a building with other hotels and the actual hotel is only one floor of the building. Also great location right near the train station but close enough to walk to city center.

Convenient Hotel

Excellent location. Very close to train station. Area is very accessible for everything. Supermarket, 24-hrs MacDonald, restaurants, attractions points are all near the hotel. Actually, the hotel is quite nice. The reason I didn’t rate too high just because of the building quite old, however, I found it’s quite typical in Florence if you want something not so expensive.

Nice & Cozy Hotel

The staff was really nice! The hotel offered a very authentic Italian bed & breakfast experience. The room was cozy, well equipped, quiet, and very clean. The location is unbeatable: less than 5 minutes walking to S. M. Novella station, which is also handy when booking tours as that is a common meeting point. Piazza de la Unitá and Mercato Dan Lorenzo are also just minutes away on foot. Nice dining options nearby as well.

Great Location and Pleasant Accommodations

On the third floor of this old but modernised apartment building, a nice bed and breakfast is called the Old Florence Inn, featuring six rooms with modest accommodations and pleasant amenities, including en-suite bathroom. For breakfast, each room includes a tray with juice and breakfast treats, milk, yogurt, cheese. The location is superb, among many other boutique hotels and rooms for rent in the area near the train station. It's an easy walk from the train station, even with luggage. One quirk is the elevator: its the size of a coffin, or two. Old school. It was impossible to fit two persons and luggage inside so we sent the luggage up first and the host was happy to unload it for us before we sent the elevator back down for two passengers. Strolling around the neighborhood, it looks like Walt Disney designed and built the little alleys and stores, restaurants, bars and gelato shops. Absolutely charming, clean and well kept. You can't go wrong with the food at most of these little places. The big market is only two blocks away, a must-see location. The big churches are easy walking distance and the charming bridge at Ponte Vecchio is also a short walk.

Just okay

The hotel was a bit difficult to locate as it was in the same building as about 3 other hotels-each on a different floor. The location is very close to the train station and just adjacent to the center so location was very good. There was a local bus stop next to the entrance so there was always a crowd by the front door which could be intimidating. The breakfast was packaged pastries and definitely not appetizing. Room was adequate but I would not describe as comfortable. Rather noisy as its close quarters. If you are just looking for a place that's inexpensive to grab a little sleep, then it's ok but that's it.

Open charm

This turned out to be a great little hotel. An old, traditional feel and decor which we loved. It was very clean. We had room 8. No view but we didn't care. Super convenient to train station which mattered to us with heavy luggage. The first night we noticed many mosquitoes in the room yet we hadn't opened the window. We told our gentlemen at reception and right away he had a plug in repellant in the room and there was no problem from then on. I would definitely stay again! Loved it.

Good B&B

It was a one night stay,very convenient since we arrived by train and it is very close to the train station. It's a bed&breakfast so there is no reception at night but they give you the keys and instructions needed for when you get back to the hotel. It is located in an upper level which is good for the security

Overall Good

We had a good stay and hotel is in good central location. The room was cute with Italian decor. The owner was very accomidating and helpful. The only negative was that but shower had mold on ceiling.

Close to train station

We stayed one night to be close to the train station. You have to look carefully for the plaque outside as the hotel is on one floor of a multi use building.

We chose this B & B for its location, being close to the train station, as well as walking distance to the Ponte Vecchio, the Boboli Gardens and the Galleria dell' Accademia. Carrying luggage through the streets is no fun. The hotel was clean, safe and comfortable. The owner was not there when we got there, but a staff member filled in. There was a language barrier but she was very patient and we managed just fine. We later met the owner and he was very friendly, helpful, kind and just charming. Breakfast was nothing more than packaged snacks but they had juice and water and we wanted to save our appetites for the restaurants so we were just fine with it. We tired quickly in the heat and decided to stay in for one night with a bottle of wine. I went to the owner asking for advice on buying wine and after pointing us to the local grocer, he then handed me a cork screw and two wine glasses from his own kitchen. Just a nice little place to stay.

Good location, clean and comfortable.

This hotel is very close to the train station (2mins walk) close to tourist sites (duomo 5-10 mins walk) and generally comfortable and convenient. Very clean throughout. Staff were helpfull and spoke good English. I appreciated the wifi access. Breakfast was simple and pre-prepared (croissant in a packet, with preserves, instant coffee, youghurt, crackers and processed cheese) I would have appreciated a fresh breakfast.

Great owner/staff; helpful with directions and tour info. Location was awesome! Breakfast was pre-packaged so it could have been better ... But, McDonald's was a few steps away! Bed wasn't great ... Just ok.

Good times at Old Florence Inn

Stayed at The Old Florence Inn May 20,21 2014. The location was perfect. Across the street from the train station and the Hop on Hop Off Bus. We arrived a little early and we could still check in. The room was very nice and I liked how the continental breakfast was in your room and ready the night before. You could easily walk around and pop back in your room to drop stuff off that was bought from the market merchants down the street. Would definitely stay here again!

Handy for the train station, no chance of a lie in

The b&b is in a building with a number of other b&bs. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast is left in your room the day before, which is handy, but the quality on offer is pretty low. The major issue we had is that a combination of hard floors and thin walls means you can hear everyone moving around, so it was impossible to sleep beyond about 7am. Price is reasonable.

Hotel with real Italian flavour

Such a handy place to stay, just a couple of blocks from the train station,wonderful host,clean comfortable room,breakfast provided in our room,stayed a couple of nights,loved Florence!

The Old Florence Inn was great would definately go back there. Was very conveniently located just a short walk from the station, our room was clean, bed comfortable, loved the warm floor tiles and there is a lift. There is a very nice chinese restaurant underneath and cafes across the road.

My wife and I highly recommend this inn. Very conveniently located--near train station and an easy walk to all major churches and museums in Florence. Florio, the owner, is very gracious and accomodating. He and his staff gave helpful suggestions on places to eat, etc. Room good sized and comfortable. Breakfast rather mediocre, but easy to pick up coffee, pastries, fruit, etc. at street bakeries and shops nearby to supplement the breakfast. Free wireless internet was great help in using my laptop to track flight availabilities during volcanic ash airline shutdown.

Lovely stay at the old florence inn

Me and my friend had a lovely stay at Old Florence Inn. We got a very nice welcoming and check-in was very smooth although our flight was delayed. Great location close to the station and city centre. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Florence in the future.

Charme e elegância da antiga Florença!

Um charme de local, bem localizado, completo com tudo que precisamos, atendimento nota 10. O ponto negativo a considerar é a pressão da água, devido a alguma limitação da construção original, o prédio possui uma pressão da água abaixo do normal. O café da manhã era feito com produtos industrializados e disposto no quarto já no dia anterior, é um café simples porém completo, gostamos dessa liberdade do café, e também os produtos eram de boa qualidade.

휴게실 카푸치노가 맛있습니다.

일단 테르미니역과 가까워서 가장 좋았어요. 중앙시장이 5분 거리라 이것저것 사러 여러 번 다녔어요. 호텔도 깔끔하고 분위기도 안락하고 좋았습니다. 조식은 미리 준비해둔 빵과 음료 등을 방에 세팅해 두었는데 양도 적지 않았고 커피와 음료는 남았습니다. 휴게실에 자판기 커피를 무료로 먹을 수 있는데 카프치노가 정말 맛있어서 많이 마셨습니다. 참, 샤워를 여러 명이 하면 찬물이 나오니 저녁과 아침으로 적당히 나누어서 사용하면 좋을 것 같습니다. 그리고 청소는 깨끗하게 매일 해주는데 수건은 안 갈아주는 것 같아요. 우리는 2박이었고 작은 수건들이 여러 장이어서 부족하지 않았습니다. 아무튼 잘 쉬었다 왔습니다.

저렴하나 쾌적하지는 않은 올드 플로렌스 인

피렌체 중앙역에서 가까워 다른 도시를 기차로 여행하기에 편리한 반면 오래된 건물이고 객실이 좁은 단점. 특별한 서비스 기대할 수 없으나 주변에 수퍼와 음식점 많아 편리한 점은 있음.

離車站很近, 樓下有超市.主人相當親切友善.大廳有咖啡機可以免費使用.早餐是預先準備好的麵包優格及保久乳等, 就放在房裡讓房客使用, 每天打掃時會補充. 整體來說是漂亮充滿風情的老屋感, 但衛浴有些地方陳舊維護不夠完善. 吹風機挺讓人困擾, 所以我買了一台新的使用. 跟隔壁間的隔音有點差. 除此之外很享受.

中央駅から近かったので便利でした。 朝食がトレイの上においてあったので早朝から出かける時は食べていけるのでよかった。 部屋の鍵をフロントに預けないので持ち運びするには重かった。

피렌체역에서 아주 가깝고(5분거리), 주변에 편의시설과 식당이 많아 편합니다. 유명관광지도 걸어서 10분정도면 어디든 갈수있고, 중앙시장도 5분 남짓이면 갑니다. 직원분이 친절했고 조식은 큰 기대없이 먹으면 만족할만합니다. 바로 근처에 맥도날드도 있으니,원하면 사다먹어도 되고요. 만족합니다.

위치가 훌륭한 가성비 좋은 비엔비 숙소

위치가 너무 좋아요. 역 바로앞이라 무거운 캐리어 끌고 관광지 다닐 필요 없었어요. 숙소이름대로 올드플로렌스 스타일의 방입니다. 조식은 방에 셋팅되어 있는데 제 기준으로는 아주 훌륭하고 푸짐했어요. 다만 침대 쿠션이 약간 불편하긴했지만 가격대비 아주 좋은 숙소 입니다. 리셉션에 인상좋은 아주머니 덕분에 피렌체 첫인상이 좋았어요. 가성비 좋아요. 추천

일단 방이 엄청 예뻐요.. 취저.. 그리고 되게 세련된 유럽풍 느낌이 가득합니다. 역 바로 앞이라 3-5분이면 가요!!! 근처에 맛집도 많고 두오모성당도 금방갈수있어요 밑에 바로 마트있어서 편했습니다!! 객실이 몇개 안되지만 큽니다 방하나하나가 다 큰가봐요 위아래층들도 다 숙박시설인것같았어요 그리고 숙소바로앞에 한솥같은곳도 있는데 함 가보세요! 간단하게 먹을수있고 가라아케도 맛있었어요!!!!

호텔 선정할때 보여지는 이미지랑 실제 숙박룸이랑 똑같아서 좋았습니다~ 기차역과도 가깝고 원데이 투어 집결 장소와도 아주 가깝고 그외 관광지와도 가까워서 저는 대만족이었습니다~ 특히 약간의 조식이 매일 매일 룸에 셋팅 되어 있어서 아주 편했습니다~**~

Charmigt hotell

Mycket charmigt, lite äldre hotell. Bra läge nära centralstationen men lite stökig omgivning med rätt mycket trafik. Frukosten var ingen höjdare. Inplastade bröd m.m. som ställdes i ordning dagen innan och stod på rummet. Annars helt ok hotell. Litet och kändes säkert. Trevlig personal.
