Really Nice
This hotel is really nice! It has a great river view. The staff is extremely friendly. The breakfast is a plus. They serve Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits, bagels, cereal, fruit, pastries, etc.and the fireplace was wonderful 😀
Nice place
Really enjoyed our stay except for the room temperature. Could not keep it comfortable either to hot or to cold.
Great location! Beautiful view of the river. Hospitable staff and cute amenities.
Excellent Hotel Stay
The staff was friendly and professional. The room and facility was extremely clean and well kept.
We had a great stay at Old Creek Lodge. We were able to walk to the main street. Easy parking, creek off balcony was nice and peaceful.
Holly was our night person . She was amazing. She recommended Howard’s and the food was fantastic.
Great location to walk to everything, river outside balcony is pretty and helps block noise.
Nice hotel along the river and close to everything. Could walk to everything downtown. Only used the truck when we went to the National Park. Staff was very nice and hotel was very clean. Will stay again.
Beautiful place, Easy access and no traffic! It’s very recommended to other friends and relatives.
We had a great time staying here and we will definitely be back to stay again!! Everything about our stay was 5 stars and more. I posted some pictures below of the nature that we could see outside of our motel room and also some of the critters that stopped by to say hello!! You will truly love staying here if you love nature and all that it has to offer!!
The location of this hotel was perfect. Would definitely stay here again! I just wish there was a small fitness area.
Great service.
This is a nice little hotel with really wonderful staff. The pool is small and near the road, not very private; so if that is important you you this may not be the place for you. The room was very quite and clean, the location is very convenient and easy to walk around from. The breakfast options are minimal, but there is always coffee available.
Had bed bugs biting us. Caught one of in a cup and gave it to management. Management moved us right away and refunded our 2 nights when we asked for duscount. We saw exterminator truck there next day.
Perfect weekend
The room was very clean. It had all me and my husband needing for a weekend getaway. Within walking distance to everything you need and all the shops. Will definitely be staying again.
Excellent stay and helpful staff.
Did not like having to dodge goose poop all over the parking lot. Stepped in some! Yuck! But it was nice to sit in the rocking chairs and watch them in the creek. Love the creek, love the location. Love the fruit water, coffee, and tea availabe 24/7. Staff super friendly and helpful from housekeeping to check in/out.
It was ok. Staff was fine but not very friendly. Ice maker was broken the days we were there.
It is next to a river with various wild life every morning. Convenient and walkable to downtown.
Only one tiny elevator no ac not very clean.
Definitely will stay here again!
Great place!
The rooms are a little outdated but clean! Love that there is no carpet in the rooms. Staff was friendly. Pool area was clean and the water was warm! Breakfast was adequate and the coffee was delicious. The best thing is the location! Located just off the main parkway…close enough to walk everywhere but very quiet. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel room was beautiful but not clean. I found a clump of hair at the foot of the bed, an old coffee stirrer and dirt behind the dresser. The view was great, the room spacious and quiet.
Clean, covinient,and nice size room.
Nice size room, great location to everything we were interested in. Everyone was helpful.
Perfect family vacation!
We loved everything about our stay!! The staff was super friendly, breakfast was good and easy to take back to the room, and the view of the river is just gorgeous! We stayed over the 4th of July weekend and we able to watch the fireworks from our balcony! The hotel is literally 1 block off the strip and the tram to Ober Gatlinburg is right on the corner! They also have fruit infused water and cookies in the afternoon! We would definitely stay here again!
We took a last minute trip of the weekend of July 4th and this hotel was perfect!! We were greeted by friendly staff who were very helpful. I left a brand new pair of running shoes in our room and they arranged for my shoes to be shipped back to me!! So nice to know that I’m not out $160 for some new shoes.
We had a great time! I would say that this is a classic hotel with some nice upgrades! Yes the elevator is slow, but it’s only 4 floors and where are you going in a hurry anyway? Right on a gorgeous river that actually muted the sounds of the street. One block from the strip and a comfortable walk to Anakeesta and the aquarium. The only issue my hubs had was that the breakfast was a take and go. He wanted a Hilton continental breakfast
Very quiet place. Amazing beds.
Comfortable bed and walking distance to fun places and restaurants in Gatlinburg.
This motel is an older motel that has been in Gatlinburg for as long as I can remember. It is so convenient to walk everywhere in downtown Gatlinburg. Our room was so spacious and so charming, seemed newly remodeled and very clean with a balcony over the river. We will definitely stay here again?
Loved the location of the property. Easy walking to many of the attractions/activities around Gatlinburg. Also, the creek behind the property was great - very peaceful setting, and great for sitting on balcony and listening/observing.
Very friendly staff. You just don’t find this level of quality people that are genuine often.
Friendly staff and somewhat close to downtown
Very clean and friendly staff
Over all one of the best stays
Enjoyed the serenity of the River view in the mornings and evenings from our small balcony. There were often people fishing from the rocks.
Room was very comfortable and clean
Location
The Old Creek Lodge was conveniently located near areas of Gatlinburg that we wished to visit. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was minimal and probably of lower value than we anticipated based on our stays in similar hotels. Who doesn't offer butter as a condiment ? The room itself was pleasant and inviting with an enjoyable ambiance enhanced by the gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub and river flowing just below our balcony. However, on arrival the tv remote was missing (it was promptly provided on request) and on our second morning fresh towels were delivered while we at breakfast, but the room was never made up. The cleaning staff could probably use more oversight.
Loved the Lodge - furnishings were upscale and we even had a fireplace in our room (a little too warm to use it tho). Would recommend this hotel. Complementary breakfast was OK.
Great Smokies Stay
The hotel was lovely and our stream view was great! Staff was very friendly and you can't beat the location just across from Ober Gatlinburg.
Great Location & Very Nice place for the money
Good for a night or two
We came and checked in, they were nice. We needed the deposit to be in a different card then payment she tried to explain it three times but finally just did what was needed. We live about 90 minutes from the hotel we just wanted a night away which it was convenient to get to the parkway from the hotel. And it was clean! We could see where the river wasn’t cleaned up on the other side which was an eye sore but there balcony was nice we could watch the river run past. I don’t think it was worth $284 a night even with a jacuzzi tub. It only fit one person if your thinking of a romantic night together. But it was still a nice room. For someone with allergies like my fiancé you probably wake up with a sore throat or stuffed head, they didn’t dust the room recently at all. It was caked on the lamps and tv and dressers. But er didn’t find any extra hairs or dirty just needed to be dusted!
Great location
Large room, great location, close to restaurants, shopping and Parkway. It was great to sit on the balcony and listen to the stream babbling and watch the ducks. Staff were fast and great responding to a small issue we had in our room. We’ve stayed here several times in the past and enjoy the location and facility.
My only complaint is no heater in the bathroom
Great stay
We had a great couple of nights here. Very clean and staff very pleasant and helpful.
Great location
I liked being able to sit above and listen to the creek. There needs to be more guest parking.
The fireplace
Location. Breakfast needs to more items. Loud crack noises at times? Sound of something pumping especially noticeable during night
Everything was great except for the broken ice machine on the 3rd floor.
I loved this place
Bien tranquilo el area, pero filtra el techo en los cuartos en la parte de los Jacuzzis
Amazing stay beautiful furniture and rooms!! Amazing views from our balcony!!!
Clean, comfortable bed, nice view, friendly staff.
No creek view had to stand on balcony and look down to see it. Shower curtain didn’t keep water in shower, went all over bathroom floor. Beds were comfortable but springs creaked every time you moved.
We visited Gatlinburg Thanksgiving - Sunday; the town is a total zoo in the evenings with wall-to-wall people on the sidewalk and traffic on the roads. Fortunately, Old Creek Lodge sits on the border of said zoo between it and the Great Smoky Mountain NP. We drove on a windy bypass road to get past the downtown to the hotel and parked our car. The location was perfect for us - the staff was very warm and welcoming - the rooms were clean and cozy. Breakfast is grab-and-go (muffins, yogurts, ind. cereal) with 24/7 coffee and hot water for tea and hot chocolate. If you turn left out of the hotel, the tram to Ober Gatlinburg is across the street and we highly recommend Bennett's BBQ and the Pizza place. Past that 1st block is crazy town. If you turn right out of the hotel and walk 3 blocks - you'll hit Gatlinburg Trail which is a beautiful flat 2 mile walk to Sugarland Visitor Center/ GSM NP. Old Creek Lodge was a quiet place to rest in between both worlds.
Nice
In a good location. Our room was not clean. The floors were dirty and had not been mopped in months. It was dusty and not very clean. Furniture had been dusted but headboard and fireplace were very dusty. Could do better on the grab and go breakfast by adding hot water and packs of oatmeal a toaster for toast and jelly.
When we arrived at Old Creek Lodge they did not have us registered. They said it was something to do with Expedia. They happen to have a room for two nights instead of the three nights we had planned for. We had to pay extra for this. I would like to have this looked into. I would like my down payment returned.
Good stay
Good location, big room with comfy mattress. Hotel is a bit worn but still nice. Enjoyed the fireplace and close walk to everything. Lady was super nice at checkin.
The staff was so friendly! Location was great, wish the floors were a little cleaner.
The view off balcony was nice, room clean & loved Jacuzzi tub after a long days hike on Alum trail.
No tube, shower only. Wifi pass code never did work. Door key had to be reprogrammed 4 times. Small TV and no channel guide. No USB outlets for charging phones, etc.
Nice and quiet.
Everyone there it’s very good and helpful I wasn’t crazy about the room it could’ve been cleaned a little better but I do understand we’re in Cove it so the bathroom how to pour situation forgetting the toilet paper
Staycation
Clean, basic, friendly hospitality interns, grab and go breakfast, tiny outdoor patio overlooking a stream, nice for morning coffee, hot tub in room- nice after hiking in the smokies. Only one elevator, can be slow at times. Short cut through street to the main drag, so location was perfect- away from the hoards of people.
Excellent property knowledgeable staff great recommendations for local sites
Convenient location
Pros:Location was great. Staff were friendly. Bed was comfortable Suggestions: ensure refrigerator is on and cold , floors in room could use to be cleaned. Remove the bathroom door it’s just in the way.
Lovely view of the river!
Great location, but random room noises.
This is a tricky one to review. The staff that we interacted with were very friendly. The location was great. It was only a short walk to the main strip and it was close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We were able to walk to and hike the Gatlinburg Trail very easily. The beds were very comfortable and I loved being on the creek. We frequently sat on the balcony. The problem we had with the lodge was random, loud, noises that occured in our room at all hours of the day and night. About 3-4 times in the middle of the night we were awoken by a loud banging noise (like someone was slamming something down on the floor in our room). We couldn't pinpoint exactly where is was coming from but we think it had something to do with the fridge that was tucked into a furniture piece. We did not complain because we couldn't determine what was going on. I went to the drugstore and bought some earplugs. If you are a deep sleeper, it may not bother you, but it is something you may want to consider. We could also hear it happening in the rooms on both sides of us, so it was not unique to our room.
Great Creek
This stay was amazing. The staff was great, easy check in. The creek in the back was great. The kids loved playing in it. Yes, there was a pool but who can pass up a creek from the mountains.....so nice.
Our stay at Old Creek Lodge was restful and exactly what we needed. It’s walkable to all of Gatlinburg’s shops. The room was comfortable and large. The staff friendly and accommodating. Even the free breakfast was good. We’d definitely stay there again!
Great location and very friendly staff.
Great but can be cooler.
Everything was great except the HVAC. It had a tough time trying to get the temps down to where we like it while sleeping.
Quiet, but shower had mold and room had spider webs in ceiling all over.
Cabin on the creek
Quaint and beautiful
Room was comfortable, and we enjoyed the balcony over the river. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Only problems: very limited breakfast options, and only one ice maker was working, and one day it was in some sort of self-service cycle all morning so no ice was available which was annoying before a long hike.
Excellent service!!! Great view!!!! Close to everything!
It was ok
Very kind staff but the hotel is so dated, and although I think they cleaned our room, the place was dusty….convenient location, free parking and very close distance to the smoky mountains National park.
Awesome place
Great experience clean place friendly staff
No
Just Outside The Park
Arrived early and staff was very accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the river. Hotel is in a quieter part of town but still withing walking distance of everything.
Best place to stay in the area!
The hotel was perfect. Right on the river with close parking and you are within a mile of most of attractions in the area. Great rooms with everything you need and a great price. Never got a better value on a vacation. Will be back!
Great location close to Smokey Mountain NP and downtown Gatlinburg. Easy to walk to most restaurants and activities. Balcony and jetted tub were great after hiking during the day. Room itself was cozy and comfortable. My only issue was the bathroom. It was tiny and hard to close to bathroom door without stepping into the shower. The shower curtain was about 1-2 inches too short so most water run onto the bathroom floor no matter where you positioned it. The sink has a strange push/pull handle that required more force than necessary to turn on/off. All in all, it was a great place for a short stay but fixing some small issues with the bathroom would have made it perfect.
Great location
Amenities were either nil or hard to find. Not enough onsite parking which is typical for Gatlinburg. Grab and go breakfast was more like look and leave. Staff was nice at the front desk. Wifi was stupid hard to access.
Wonderful hotel!
We decided to take an overnight trip to Gatlinburg and chose this location to stay. It was wonderful! Beds were comfortable, loved the deep jet tub! Huge shower! Very friendly checkin staff. Easy walk to everything. Would definitely recommend.
I figured for the price tag it would be a lot nice , the lighting in the room was a bit dark and the whirlpool was a little dirty and had almost no lighting to it. Our floors were pretty dirty, plus side they had breakfast and we had a view of the creek, also the location was great! But for the price tag, I wouldn’t pay it again.
The stay was just ok. The lady at check in was pretty short with us, there was no housekeeping, even by request, the air conditioner in our unit started rattling in the middle of the night, and the pool looked like a dirty bathtub that hasn’t been cleaned in who knows how long, it was unusable. Room was clean.
Loved our stay here. Had a room overlooking the river and the balcony was so nice. Rooms were spacious and clean and parking super convenient. Small continental breakfast available with coffee. Thank you Old Creek Lodge!
Loved the fireplace, the balcony overlooking the creek, and the jacuzzi tub.
Great location ! Convenient parking . Love the view
Super clean. Amazing staff.
Beautiful
Very great experience the staff was great It was a great vacation and I will go back
Great stay as always! The TV could stand to be upgraded. I also know that during a pandemic you cannot have the breakfast buffet but the choices were very limited. Could have had more options. Overall we love the Old Creek Lodge and will stay again in the future.
Location,Location Location! Didn’t know the area, and we were pleasantly surprised that the lodge was so centrally located within walking distance to EVERYTHING
Thank you!
This place was super nice and clean! Staff was amazing! Our family enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
Great room and great location
The staff at check-in were super friendly and helpful. The room was great, the linens and bed was very comfortable. Very clean. Great location where you could park for free on-site and walk to almost everything. I would stay there again.
