Great stay and will return with van next year.
Great place very good service
Nice clean and quiet
Clean,warm & comfortable
Really helpful staff
Excellent
Staff are amazing! Cabin was clean & had everything we needed. Have rebooked for the same time next year.
A shame a table could not be provided. It would have made eating a meal much easier for my elderly mother, instead of having to eat it on her lap. Thin walls, heard the neighbour snoring through the night. And the place was very cold, yes, it was a cold night but electric blankets would have helped.
Good location for what we needed. Walk to Sovereign Hill easily. We walked into the CBD which gave us a good look around the area. Cabin was a bit dated but did the job.
Quite. Clean. Rainforest shower head. Ceiling fan. Nice people at receiption
We had a wonderful stay this weekend.
Nice cabin, though just too small. Also walls are paper thin!
Great cabin, great park! Loved that we could park our special car by the cabin and it was safe while we walked to dinner nearby, walked to Sovereign Hill for both the night show, and then the next day also. With very tired legs at the end at the day, the spa was amazing and just what was needed.
Nice clean and quiet
It was a great park. Neat and tidy / friendly and helpful staff. Even found a place to park our extra car towing trailer for our house move. Close to a few places to dine. Awesome
Nicely equipped cabins in a very quiet park which is well away from busy roads.Good facilities in the park. Very close to Sovereign Hill and the Eureka Centre.
We stayed in a miner's cabin for 3 nights whilst celebrating a wedding in Ballarat. the check in process was smooth. The park had plenty of amenities and was clean. It did seem to need a bit of maintenance, dryers not working in laundry room, spa jets not working, fridge in cabin did not have a rail on the door to hold bottles in the door. However overall, our stay was great, close to soverign hill (we were able to walk over)
Great for families
Awesome thanks
Great place, would definitely stay again.
Perfect in every way!
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The staff were so friendly, the property and cabin was very neat and tidy. Bed were super comfy, everything we needed was there. The cabin looked like it was newly renovated with modern amenities and was roomy. Will be staying here from now on when visiting Ballarat and will highly recommend to others!
Would recommend to family abd friends. So mu h for the kids to do.
We enjoyed our little cottage whilst meeting our new grandson. Close to all services. Reception staff lovely.

At last a place that staff helpful a lovely place to stay great quiet air conditioning bed and pillows high standard plenty of hot water very clean parking out the front well done
The holiday park was very clean and well kept, easy to get to, and the staff were lovely. Close location to Soverign Hill, and only a short drive to city centre.
We booked in for a two night stay. Road in front of cabin blocked for tree cutting, no notice provided to guests. Unable to park in our cabin driveway with a toddler and had to carry all our belongings in. Constant noise from chainsaws all afternoon. And was told ‘sorry for inconvenience’. Unable to have a toddler nap due to this. Had to leave the park and unable to relax. At time of designating cabins, if staff knew of the tree cutting and seen we had a child under 2 would have made sense to provide a cabin as far as possible? Really disappointing as the only whole day we were there we experienced this.
Beautiful park! Our accomodation was super modern and very clean. Loved the location will definately be back again
Great and clean for our 1 night stay
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay in a well equipped cabin.
I stayed here with my two children aged 5 and 10. We stayed in a one bedroom miners cabin which was ample for our needs. The cabin is small but has been designed to maximise space and usage. The beds were comfortable, the heating worked well, the kitchen was well equipped and the shower was excellent. The kitchen had a stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, cutlery etc. There were enough power points and storage areas. The grounds are clean and well maintained. My kids enjoyed the facilities on offer even though it rained for the duration of our stay. The playground does not have swings, but has everything else you would expect - slides, monkey bars, climbing frames etc. There is an indoor play area for younger children and a games room for older children. The games room had 3 screens set up with different games - minecraft, a lego game and something else. There was a larger screen with elevated seating for watching movies. The pool has a splash area for younger children. Pool depths were clearing marked on the pavers. The shallow end is 0.9m and the deep end 1.8m. There is a pedal cart available for hire. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. They offered a lot of suggestions to keep the kids busy in wet weather. This park is well located and is walking distance from Sovereign Hill. There is so much on offer both at this holiday park and in the surrounding area. It is the perfect location for a family holiday. My kids are eager to stay again!
The main road is loud if you are on the right side of the park.
The facilities are great for families. There is an outdoor pool and an indoor spa/pool for an additional fee. There are options for wet weather, including the games room and indoor spa, a playground for kids up to 5 years old. It’s within walking distance to sovereign hill and the red lion bistro. The 3 bedroom villa was spacious and common areas were clean. The toilet was clean, but shower in need of a deep clean to remove mould and grime. Overall very happy with the stay and will be back again.
Nice little cabin, can see the appeal for families given the facilities. Bed base has wheels, and moves on the floorboards if you sit down suddenly (or other bed related movements!) Quiet, safe, secure location.
All the staff were fantastic very helpful.everyone was pleasent in the park.everything we wanted to go to was very close.the room was great value.parking was easy
Clean and tidy Quiet and easy to find. Booking process was easy and staff very attentive and friendly.
passing through
Good and clean, comfortable. (a shelf for the microwave would make it better)
Very clean and comfortable
Clean and very helpful staff
We loved our stay, can't fault it. We will be back
Good location
We’ve stayed here before and it’s great for families and there is heaps to entertain kids on the property. Cabins are small and cosy with great heating and lots of extra blankets and towels etc. will def come back next time we’re in Ballarat!
It was great to actually enter the cabin to a fresh feeling and the heater was on to which felt warm and inviting
A hidden gem
Great place to stay and very friendly and helpful staff. Very hidden but excellent location
We had excellent service and was exactly what we were after. Thank you team!
The staff were great, the room was perfect.
Opening the cabin door, the overwhelming odour of a cloying, sweet cleansing product was all I noticed. I went to sit on the bed and it ran away from me....I nearly fell. The castors could not be locked. There was barely room on the wall side of the bed to get into it, let alone place my CPAP machine. The bathroom was so small one had to sidle around the corner of the vanity, as the toilet was behind the door so it wouldn't open further. The table was wonky, which we discovered after putting drinks on it that spilt...my husband had to get a screwdriver from the car to tighten it up so it was usable. Asking for help from staff didn't elicit much, though they were pleasant about it! One has to walk back there as there was no other direct way to communicate. I spent most of the night pacing or playing games on my tablet with a wet washer over my face, as I couldn't breathe let alone sleep. The smell didn't go away despite airing the cabin. Wifi didn't work. Cloth washers under the castors was the only solution to the bed's running around. The smell is an odour blocker that they are obliged to use apparently as an NRMA park...yet when we stayed in similar in Dubbo a few nights before, there was no such problem. We paid for 2 nights and stayed for one, as I needed sleep and the smell did not dissipate at all. Since our leaving early was solely due to problems caused by management, I expected an offer of at least some refund. No such thing was offered. Very very unhappy.
Property met our needs
Such a lovely park with great options to dine out and lovely walking tracks.
My review of NRMA Ballarat Holiday Park
I recently stayed at NRMA Holiday Park in Ballarat and I must say, it was a pleasant experience. My family and I booked two cabins for our stay and we were happy with what we got. Upon arrival, we found our keys in sealed envelopes outside the reception building, which made the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. However, finding our cabins in the dark proved to be a bit of a challenge, but we eventually located them. Once we entered our cabins, we were delighted to find that they were clean and comfortable. The heater in the cabin worked exceptionally well and kept us warm during the cold nights. We appreciated having a cooking range and plates available to us, though we only used the kettle and cups to make tea and coffee. Despite only using the cabins for sleeping, we found the beds to be comfortable and we were able to rest well. The overall cleanliness of the cabins was also impressive. The only downside of our stay was the difficulty in finding our cabins in the dark. However, that was only a minor inconvenience compared to the pleasant experience we had during our stay. Overall, I would highly recommend NRMA Holiday Park in Ballarat for anyone looking for a comfortable and cozy place to stay while visiting the area.
Will be absolutely coming back get for the kids and adults, coffee van on the weekend is a great touch
Very well presented although wi-fi connection was not working
Lots of facilities for kids to be entertained. Lots of cabins/sites in small area so quite cramped. Groups of people drinking/chatting (partying) in communal area all hours of the night.
The staff at the property were very welcoming when we got there and it made a great first impression when we arrived to check-in. We stayed in one of the deluxe studios and we were very impressed by the facilities and the overall cleanliness of the place. There’s also lots of activities for kids there. We will definitely be staying here again.
Victorian road trip.
Suited our needs perfectly. Just big enough for 2 people but bed comfortable and had a small kitchenette with microwave and crockery etc. Could walk to Soverign Hill as well a some restaurants and pizza places which was convenient. Price was great but need to remember it is caravan park accomodation so could hear other people in the adjoining rooms but did not dusrupt to badly. Overall very good for the price you pay. Would stay again.
We always love going there. 4/6 years the kids and I have spent 5 days chilling beside the pool and exploring the town. Great friendly staff and fantastic amenities.
As a grandparent I can say this is a truly great place for kids.
Great park to spend three nights. Cabin could do with some TLC and items were reported to staff. Bed was comfy and towels, white and fluffy. Cabin fully stocked with all items needed for your stay excluding food, of course. Walking distance to Sovereign Hill.
Loved the central location but a bit disappointed with the actual accommodation - seemed tired and outdated. Microwave didn't work; stayed Friday to Monday - no cabin service during this time - had to replenish coffee by walking to office; bathroom not wiped over? Small things that count when you are travelling.
Very clean cabins. We love the facilities here and staff are nice and friendly.
The service is woeful,
Very good nothing was wrong
Simple, clean and convenient. Good value.
The park is conveniently located and seems good for families, we were staying as a couple in a new cabin, not standalone so noise leaks between cabins. The cabins as stated are new and are for couples/adult only, there is a bed, small kitchen area with fridge and microwave and a reasonably spacious bathroom. The cabins also have a shared verandah. In our cabin the bathroom door would not close without a bit of force as the door had settled since build and dragged on the floor. Also in an attempt to keep the cold out there is little ventilation and as such there is a huge amount of condensation in the room in the morning or anytime the heating is run, so much so that puddles were forming on the windowsill above the bed. Finally the front of the cabin has blinds which unfortunately have about an inch gap between them and aren't flush with the window so there's a lot of light leakage through the night, if the neighbour has their outside light on as well as limiting the privacy through the day. None of these are big fixes but can be big problems, hopefully they are dealt with down the track
Great heating in this place and it was nice to arrive to have a friendly staff member greet us and then go lovely warm room
Relaxing
Very relaxing when we arrived. Check in was easy and very comforting. Cabin was warm on arrival and i slept like a log and my wife enjoyed a movie on the TV.
Great kitchen facilities in the villa
We had a lovely overnight stay with the kids , was nice and clean and cosy
- It was really noisy all night and I was woken at 1am with someone revving their engine - Didn't feel safe, people lurking around the cabin all night - Wish I'd known internet was so limited, I needed to do work overnight and wasn't able to as I ran out of internet - Room was freezing, the heater made me feel sick so I couldn't keep it running - I was so keen to leave, I got up early and left as soon as I could - Definitely won't stay again
Great place to stay have stayed their before with Family just my husband and myself this time friends that visited us from another Cabin site will be booking there next time very impressed with the Cabins and surroundings will be back :)
Clean and quiet
My family and I had a great little getaway friendly staff great cabins will definitely be back
Perfect place for a family holiday
Wonderful!
Great location, great price for the accommodation type and the on-site facilities were fantastic for a family! So much to do without having to leave to park :)
Great customer service, they were really helpful and we arrived to a lovely warm cabin.
DON'T TAKE BOOKINGS FROM LOCALS
I booked through hotels.com as I've always trusted there site. My house was getting flooring done do we couldn't stay there. I needed some where to stay an entertain my kids an local. Without knowing or any information on any site that says that they don't take bookings from locals. So not only did I lose my money but also had no where to stay . As I used my money on this place.
No hot water in the morning
Staff were great. I would stay there again.
Easy for the kids to walk around and play. Pool was good apart from an adult having to be there watching kids that are over 14. They can swim and have fun without someone watching them.
Clare served us well to check in. Good bed and quiet. Near to Sovereign Hill. Floor a bit too old but acceptable. Bathroom door stopper pose a risk if not careful. Overall a peaceful and comfortable stay.
It's great place!
It was really great experience!! Nice accommodation and facilities. The location is perfect as well! I will visit next time again! :)
Just brilliant!
Lovely cabin, beautiful park and excellent customer service from all staff. Would love to stay again.
Convenient to city and local tourist locations. Clean, tidy park could have more shade areas , noisy at times from surrounding residential streets, overall a nice place to stay, family friendly.
The kids loved the stay and enjoyed the facilities thoroughly.
More food and entertainment can be provided. That’s enough enough enough.
it was perfect for us i was babysitting gran kids lot to do
Before we turned around.
Good spot to stay, very quiet.
The spa allocation time and that l could have it alone. How easy it was to check in and out The pool was a great temperature The location is perfect
Great facilities for kids, helpful and friendly staff.
I and my wife very like 4BIG,All peopo very nice!! Thanks!!
Convenient to sovereign hill
It was alright but the bathroom was very small just enough facilities
Very have with everything from the time we checked in to the checkout staff very friendly and helpful
Poor form having to pay for indoor pool on top of the cost of our accommodation. It was one of the main reasons we decided to stay there and won’t be returning again
The cabin was really cosy and warm, just what you need in wintry weather. Quiet.
Didnt like the fact that it was advertised and printed on my receipt that we had twin beds when in fact it was bunks
We visited sovereign hill and our location was perfect. It is within about a 20 minute walk however we drove as we had our toddler with us. This is a very family friendly property, so many fun activities for children and our little girl had the best time without even leaving the property! I am looking forward to staying at other locations within Victoria
A really great place for families. It was cold outside but lovely and warm inside the cabins!
Very clean park and cabin. Close to Sovereign Hill, bakery, eateries and hotel. All walking distance.
