A good option, very good. Go upstairs to 7th floor and relax with the eiffel tower as your backdrop

Nice place to stay with family

Very good…quiet and clean

The food was not to the standard I expect to be with the Novotel name, this let down the hotel other good stuffs. During breakfast not enough plates waiting for a while, food not re filled quick enough empty dishes. The same with bread/ pastry counter. Poor service.

Clean and comfortable room

The hotel is excellent and well-located, offering a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower from the rooftop bar. We encountered a minor issue with parking, but it was promptly resolved

The room looked nice but was a bit dark; we would’ve appreciated a bit more lightning. The room was a bit cozy for a family of four but we liked the trundle bed for the kids. The bar at the top floor was nice for relaxing and watching the Eiffel Tower.

Check out was bad. Our taxi was waiting and they kept us waiting for no reason.

Great, welcoming staff

I would recommend this hotel. It was conveniently located close to the metro & buses. Had supermarkets and shops close by. The hotel rooftop has great views of the Eiffel tower.

central air conditioning?

PROS:Excellent hotel, great location, safe place (in front of a Police statio), near many stores, restaurants/bars, metro station. But police station at night may become noisy. CONS:There is zero option to get a slightly earlier check-in there. and for a reason hard to understand, the AIR CONDITIONED is set centrally by the hotel. The control in the room only allows you to raise the temp, never to lower it. In summary: we spent 3 nights complaining of feeling hot, and the summer heat was only about to start. I can't imagine staying there late July to early September. When checking out, a couple more clients were at the front desk asking what was wrong with the air conditioning.

The rooms are small and not kids friendly. During our stay the hotel had construction and was very annoying for a good sleep. If you travel in summer, the rooms very super hot and the A/C doesn’t work. I stayed with kids and family and i do not recommend if you are doing the same. The hotel is not anywhere closer to the Eiffel Tower. The only view to the tower is from rooftop bar and the bar requires reservations and purchase.

Excellent hotel. Great view of the Eiffel Tower from the rooftop bar. Delicious breakfast buffet with plenty of options, and also delicious Italian restaurant and bar appetizers. Room was small but functional. Friendly and helpful staff that met every request seemlessly, and transitioned quickly between many languages effortlessly. Really professional and attentive. A great stay!

Very good.

Very good over all. Next to train and bus stations. Great restaurant- we checked in late, they made us food after closing time, felt welcomed. Free water and juices in the room.

Great breakfast, helpful and friendly front desk staff. The family room was a good size and the sofa bed was big enough for our 9 and 12 year olds to comfortably share.

Modern hotels nice area but showering burns feet

The hotel was modern and clean, would consider returning again. Nice area within walking distance to local bakeries and shops and even to the Eiffel tower. A couple small issues: - Shower was a weird; very hot water came out of bath spout even when showering. - Check in said before midnight which was strange, but they let us check in after midnight which was nice.

Aircon wasn’t working. Too hot. Told a few times and wasn’t fixed

The Hotel room was the same as per the pictures, Clean rooms and breakfast was good.

I was overcharged for taxes and charged for breakfast we never had. I’ve been emailing to get things straight and they have yet to credit my card. I attempted to tell the attendant I had already paid and I was dismissed and told I owed MORE taxes. I’m forced to make a claim with my credit card company.

We would stay there again

Hotel staff was excellent. Very helpful. Made you feel at home. The only flaw was a single staffer in the restaurant part. A very short fat waitress, she had a very bad attitude and very unpleasant to deal with. Other than that this place is excellent. Easy access to the metro and near all the major sites. Will definitely stay there again.

Dining and roof top bar excellent. Property well decorated and convenient location to all major attractions.Staff are excellent and friendly .

The room we stayed in was spacious and we loved the water machine in the hallway where we could get fresh sparkling or still water! The rooftop bar had excellent cocktails and views. We enjoyed the coffee shop connected to the lobby, as well. Close to a few metro stops but we mostly walked everywhere. It was a lovely hotel!

Excellent location. Very spacious rooms. Easy walking distance to shops and not far from the main attractions. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was lacking in options but dinner was very good in the restaurant

Great location

The property is in a good location but the Hotel is not inviting. Doesn’t really feel good to get in. The lobby is confusing and unorganized. The room was stinky and disgusting. Bad odors, stains in the bathroom around the sink. The rooftop was super and ilvolo restaurant . We won’t stay again at this hotel but we will eat at ilvolo for sure

We are a family of parents and 2 kids all excited with minimal expectation. We were given a corner room 347 of the Hotel. Our challenge started as soon as we entered the room. We had a weird smell and thought it was due to dampness as you have your restroom and bath when you enter the room. We adjusted and complained to front desk about it to have someone look into it. Nothing was done the first day of our 4 nights stay. The second day we asked if we can be given a different room or have someone refresh the room when we were away for site seeing. We came back in the evening and found same problem. I asked to speak to the manager. They entered all the notes. Next day morning no calls from manager. We went down that evening and asked for another room and now there was nothing available per front desk. They ran a fan and it helped but smell was back that night. We spoke to manager and got room changed for last night. This ruined our whole experience and we were told we will be compensated with credit for our trip. We haven’t heard back until now. It’s been over three days. Please avoid room 347 as there is something wrong with that room. We are upset because it ruined our vacation and it’s only fair that the management takes responsibility and do right. Thank you Prem

Amazing place. Restaurant staff was amazing.

Nice hotel in general the only thing to mention is the poor customer service we got from the staff at the reception.

Mediocre hotel

Overall unimpressive stay - could be result of high occupancy - the lobby area is small and poorly laid out. It was cramped, and after battling the crowds on Paris streets all day you hope to come into a place of respite. The rooms are mediocre - while you can tell they’ve renovated somewhat recently, the quality is lacking - it gave the feeling of disrepair.

The hotel did not have the a/c running through out our stay. Had issue to have the rooms cleaned.

Great service, very kind and profesional team! we had a great time

Great bar upstairs and buffet was great. The only suggestion is the AC. It’s either controlled by the hotel or ours just didn’t work. Also, recommend that the staff inform guests how to get into the hotel if you’re out late - we Gad gotten back from Disney at 1am and the doors were locked. Luckily, the janitor happened to pass by and opened the doors for us.

Wonderful quiet neighborhood thats located within walking distance to the metro. The staff was friendly and the food was beyond amazing!! The rooftop lounge give a beautiful clear view of the Eiffel tower. Rooms were small, and we had a light that was broken with a exposed bulb. I definitely would recommend.

Do not trust this hotel they charged my card extra $500+ after we checked out now they won’t talk to us about it. The room was tiny we were supposed to have a view but just a concrete wall the street outside was full of rubbish don’t stay here

Hotel staff was amazing. The only inconvenience is the Police Headquarters lack of respect in the after hours Sound of the 🚨 sirens. Is like the put the keys on the patrols cars and goes off without considering the neighbors,

Would never stay here again. The stay at FOH have no manners and our check in although was supposed to be “at” 3pm, we arrived and was told it’s “from” 3pm. One of the rooms wasn’t ready u til 5pm for which we got 2 drinks vouchers on the rooftop terrace. We were allowed to check out at 2pm although we checked out earlier as we didn’t want to stay another minute in the hotel. Breakfast was very minimalistic, and whilst the view on the rooftop bar was great, drinks selection was very poor

The staff are available to assists 24 hrs/ day. Encountered few problems, but staff are always willing to sort things out ASAP. The aircon was not cold enough for a comfortable sleep, but fan was provided when requested. No English channel on the TV program for kids/adults to enjoy. Accommodation is accessible to shops and metro station. Safe area to walk around even at night.

Restaurant is excellent. Rooms is good, bathroom is no good, blocked sink, no soap ,no conditioner .

Check in to hotel was sooo slow. Staff at front did not seem to mind that we were waiting and took their time. We also requested extra cups and they were never delivered to our room after saying they would send some.

My train trip was canceled because of the strike and severe disturbances in Paris. I was traveling from overseas with children and of course no other way to reach Paris in a day by other means. Had paid in advance 2 family rooms and hotel did not reimburse me. Lost a lot of money. Not my first stay at this hotel but will never choose them again 😡

All employees were kind and helpful. I needed an early check-in and the fee was waived which was much appreciated. Overall a great experience.

Was nothing that was show in the pictures , The room was old and and smell cigarettes, The air conditioner was barely working.

Ok hotel nice rooms but better available for price

Easy check in and ability to leave luggage after check out. Simple room with bar fridge and tea/coffee making. Ordered a travel cot for our toddler, told to use the fold out sofa instead - first hotel in all our travels to do so. Room was clean, fast lift service when not being used for games by kids. Nice view from Rooftop terrace, although bar area only open for couple months each year. Downsides- awoken before 7am local time with banging/maintenances work - no sleep. the breakfast was ok but very basic compared to other hotels and unfortunately the service lady in that morning was just a little rude. We asked for a high chair (under 2yrs toddler) no just use a chair - then got told to keep child sitting in chair - deep low chairs so he couldn’t actually have eyes above tables.. needless to say he kept trying to stand on chair to actually eat.. lots of kids running around the hotel without parent supervision, playing in lifts and staff allowing this to occur. On two occasions in sitting area we had our coffee spilt onto us and out papers due to children playing chase games in the sitting area.. on both occasions parents unaware and no staff assistance. (I’m talking full cups we had just paid for knocked over and when coffee is 5.10€ a cup it’s rather expensive). Fortunately one family witnessed their children’s behaviour and removed them however others allowed the chasing running to continue - this all occurs in lobby area where plenty of check in staff are also.

This place needs to work on their hospitality and their welcoming party. I landed early morning, I didnt expect to be checked in, I kept returning at later times as instructed but it got ridiculous. I wasnt allowed to check in half hour before check in time. (3pm check in )The staff did not mention there roof top Terrance (main reason to book this place) . First time in Paris- The snootiness completely turned me off. I tried to spend as little time in the hotel as possible avoiding their assistance. The rooms were clean and neat but unnecessarily complicated. They only provided tolietries for 1 guest. The only fully sized mirror does not have lighting. The toilet is in a different room to wash your hands. If I wasnt so exhausted from the rest of my travels I would have cancelled reservations. The location was great to use the train or walk to the shopping area, that was the only perk.

Affordable Base to Explore Paris

The Hotel is starting to look tired in places and is probably why they have started refurbishing the rooms. The pictures probably give an overly favourable impression of the hotel. However, that said you are in Paris, so should not be spending a load of time in your hotel room. It is a reasonably priced (by Parisian standards) to explore Paris. 200m from a metro station

The parking lot couldn’t fit anything other than a bike. So I had to go on a hunt to find a parking lot within the area. The air conditioning didn’t work. They couldn’t switch my room my family and I woke up sweating all 3 nights we were there. The bathtub was clogged so we had to take quick showers it was not a good experience at all probably my worst experience in France out all my years visiting.

I like this hotel because of the location. Location is very safe, close to metro and bus station. What I dislike is a bit far from the tourist attractions. Too many metro stops away from the city attractions. Overall it is a wonderful hotel and will definitely come back.

Comfortable stay for a family of six across two rooms. Close to Metro to navigate Paris.

The lobby and restaurant were excellent on this property, but the rooms could use more care. The facility was clean, but the walls could be painted as corners were chipped in many places. The rooftop lounge was awesome and overall attempt to welcome families to the hotel with games, etc. Overall a nice place to stay in a good location in Paris.

Check in was fast. The room was nice, modern and clean. I opted to have breakfast there and I’m happy I did. I like the breakfast menu. Very close to Eiffel Tower. The view of the Eiffel Tower from the bar was amazing. Lots of places to eat close by.

Hotel needs renovation. Front desk staff were nice. Away from main attractions but train station not far. No room service, bar, or anywhere to eat pass 10 pm. If you need a place just to sleep...this could be it.

Generally acceptable conditions. Rooms are clean. But housekeeping staff often miss coverall the details such as missing towels, missing bottled water, face tissues, etc. called one night for a box of face tissues. Front desk said ok. No one ever showed up and front desk did not answer call again.

Great hotel close to the metro.

Wonderful hotel close to the metro. Easy to travel to tourist sites, easy to get around to where you need to go. Just steps from the Vaugirard metro stop.

Overall stay is good. Location is good for public transportation and good restaurants and grocery shops near by.

Generally a good quality Novotel. Location is a bit of a distance from the centre of Montparnasse but, in fairness, only a three stop Metro ride. Vaugirard metro is only around 150 metres away.

A/C didn’t work in our room. Parking was impossible with a large vehicle. We rented a VW van for our trip and the garage couldn’t accommodate. Paris isn’t made for large vehicles and Novotel couldn’t help. The bed was comfy and the staff is super friendly.

Not the same standard as Novotel in UK but nice. Staff were great and really family friendly - recommend and would stay again.

Children friendly hotel

It was good that it was a child friendly hotel but we did not get enough toiletries during our 3 nights stay.

The staff at the hotel were very efficient and were both friendly and professional. Service in the hotel restaurant and the breakfast area was very good, with staff pleasant and polite. However the decor of the hotel was rather tired looking and in serious need of refurbishment. We stayed at the hotel previously and remember it as being far more pristine than it was on this visit. The carpet in our room had certainly seen better days, and was stained and not in the best condition. The curtains were rather threadbare and the bathroom sink had a plug that would not release the water unless we removed it from its place in the sink!!..Carpet in corridors was also thin underfoot. Such a shame Novotel have allowed the decor to become so run down before then initiate refurbishment. We were only staying for one night otherwise we would have asked to be moved to a better room...if there were any better rooms in the hotel!!...Disappointing ...Staff were great however.

Truly appreciate all the assistance from the front desk- incredibly kind and thoughtful. Perfect location for visiting all the tourist sites, walking steps from Vaugirard station. We didn’t dine at the hotel. Breakfast isn’t included and in my opinion not worth it. There are Great restaurants and cafe, including a Starbucks in walking distance. The bar downstairs is cosy with an outdoor patio. there is a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower from the 7th floor bar but it’s only open from the month of May onwards. There is also a sauna but that was under renovations during our stay.

No Novotel stay in the future

The hotel looked nothing like what was posted online. That was really deceptive photos. This hotel is old, run down and service was terrible. I will not be staying there again if ever in Paris.

Ringing in the New Year

The installation was nice. The room a bit smaller than expected but worked out fine since we only used it to come back late at night to sleep. It had a small bar area which was cozy and worked for me although I think they should expand their beer selection. The staff that we dealt with were very helpful and friendly.

Family friendly hotel in safe part of Paris

Easy check in. Rooms were true to description online. Double bed is similar to queen- size in USA, which was a pleasant surprise. Prices are a bit inflated in hotel restaurant. Clean rooms, very firm bed, lots of pillows.

Nice central hotel as a starting point

Friendly staff even though we had a very late check in. Room was really nice. Bed was really comfy and had no problem sleeping. Checking out was very simple.

Very Nice hotel

On arrival we had a very warm and reassuring welcome from Christophe. Hotel staffs were very polite and are fluent in English as well .The hotel is conveniently located 1 minute from Vaugirard metro from where you can go to the Paris Landmarks. We found the neighbourhood safe and the police station is on the other side of the road.When we leave the hotel to go out there was always visible policing which made us feel safe.Turn left from the hotel and Starbuck is about 2 minutes away and Carefour supermarket is about 3 minutes away.

Nice hotel

Real nice hotel, which was clean and presentable. Got good local shops and not far from local attractions if you don't mind a little walk or jumping on the Metro. Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others

The hotel was very clean

The hotel was clean smelt fresh every day room was cleaned everyday through out my stay, the best bit was the roof top bar in the evening where you could sit drink beer wine cocktails and look at the tower that was just in front was the best roof top bar and views amazing, breakfast was amazing every day fresh eggs bacon waffles pancakes fruit bread coffee and all the teas

It was a great location to see all the attractions. Close to metro and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helped us with directions. We would definitely stay there again

Dirty bedsheets, had to request to have it changed. My daughter woke up with alotnofnbed bug bites.

Close proximity to the Metro stations and staff very cooperative. Only drawback was the slight delay in room service.

2nd stay, has disappointed since last year. Still like the location but seems hotel is cost cutting. Less staff. Breakfast has always been a shambles but now no plates, wait for table clearing limited food. Tongs fell on floor manger put back with bread.Stayed at 4 Novotels on trip and this was the worst. Room old and limited. Game machine downstairs broken and looks like won't be fixed. Also when leaving problem with taxi which left sour taste. I read other reviews where hotel says wait for renovations to happen but most problems with this hotel now not related to that. Won't be staying again.

Staff are friendly. Metro and many good local cafe are around
