An oasis!

An attractively designed hotel in a lovely setting. Pleasant efficient staff. Secure parking for €10. Easy to walk out from the hotel to the lagoon and the small centre. Well worth more than an overnight stop.

This was a nice hotel, probably the best in this area and has been recently refurbished. It’s not overly luxurious but contemporary and well furnished and designed. The food was very good although a limited choice, but that’s not a bad thing when what is on offer is well cooked. It was a shame that there wasn’t a separate bar to have a drink. The small bar area was part of the dining restaurant. The breakfast was good overall although coffee from is not what you would expect from a four-star French hotel. Generally the breakfast choice was good.

Quiet location away from the crowded places - but close enough by car (2km from downtown, max 5 to beach). The hotel facilities are nice, restaurant is quiet good and hotel staff is always super helpful and polite. Pool is not big but it’s ok. Just missed a fitness center.

Great holiday location

We had a very enjoyable stay at Novone last La Granders Motte which is in a pleasant location next to a golf course. We also liked walking (25 min or so) to the sandy beach each day. La Grande Motter is a bit of a french secret, we loved it. The hotel room was fine, just not perfect as we wanted 3 proper beds but all rooms have a large double and a double sofa bed as in most Novotels. The mattress was a bit thin, also AC did not work very well in the considerable heat. The wi-fi was intermittent. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and they do a good value fixed price lunch. The negatives above are far outweighed by the excellent feel of the place, the building is a Modernist gem in a wonderful location. Very nice pool too. Would stay again.

Not the same standard as other Novotels. Does not respect the room criteria asked for and bed and pillows are not comfortable. Had to wait til 4pm to get access to a room that was different to the one on the description.

My family went to the pool and I ask the receptionist to get some towel for the pool. When we did the check out they charge me 2 euros for each towel that we used in the pool. No good services. How you can get charge for towels. The night receptionist was nice he give us milk and cereal for my kids.

Nice hotel and area

Super area but more for French people. Hotel & guests did not speak English. Transport difficult no hire car facility in this area, no taxis. 20minute walk to bus stop / beach. Hired bicycle easy cycling. Food in restaurant v.good even though we didn't know what we ordered!

Family friendly hotel

The hotel staff are very welcoming, kind and courteous. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable and suitable for family stays. There are many hotel activities for kids to amuse themselves with: petoncle,pool table, giant chess outdoors, table tennis and lovely swimming pool. Food was average but breakfast was better. Definitely would recommend this hotel to others, especially families

Very good hotel with great staff

I wanted a peaceful night on my own while travelling through France visiting friends and family, and it was simply perfect! I had a large clean and comfortable room. The evening meal I had on the terrace was excellent. Last but not least congratulations and thanks to all the staff at the hotel! They made my stay extremely pleasant.

Great value, nice hotel and polite staff, would recommend

We arrived early as our flight had been changed and although our room wasn't ready (no fault of the hotel) we were allowed to leave out bags in a secure room and make full use of the hotel facilities whilst our room was being prepared. Staff were extremely helpful, polite and informative. Location was a little out of the way from the main town but for a very reasonable €10 per day bikes could hired making the journey in to town quicker and enjoyable (taxis are expensive and it was fun to cycle along the river/canal - much better views) However, the location next to possibly the best municipal golf course I've ever seen gave great views and meant the hotel was peaceful and quiet. Room was a little tight for 3 adults but as we were on a moderate budget we couldn't really fault it. As we spent most of our time at the pool area or in the centre of LGM we only really needed the room for 3 beds and a clean bathroom to shower and change which we got from this booking. This hotel ticked all our boxes and was great value for money. I would certainly recommend and if I was ever in LGM again, I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Wonderful hotel - good facilities.

A luxury hotel. Food was excellent, staff very welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable and facilities superb. A truly wonderful stay. We will definitely consider returning to Novotel La Grand Motte!

Nice modern hotel

The hotel was really nice, just beside a golf field, even I don't golf, it was nice. We stayed in the standard room, it was big, really clean, confortable, and with a terrace on a garden. We didn't try the restaurant nor the swimming pool but they looked really good. it's quite close to aigues mortes an amazing medieval citadelle.

Advertised as 4 stars, but 3 at best

Well first of all we weren't informed that we were booking a room in a building site, as the hotel is being renovated so it was smelly and noisy. Second, the room was small and bed was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever encountered, with maybe 2-3 inches of mattress at best, and pillows with very little and very lumpy stuffing. The mini bar fridge didn't work, and the bathroom was ok but the shower was treacherously slippery. The bar and restaurant were both stifling, so hot that it was uncomfortable just being there. I ordered a cocktail from the menu but the bartender (who looked to be about 17 didn't know how to make it and couldn't find the ingredients anyway). And despite the big discount it turns out we paid more than the rack rate anyway. I cannot understand how it gets 4 stars, even when fully functioning. No laundry service, no decent toiletries, nothing that you wouldn't expect to get with 3. And even 3 star places I've been to have had decent beds.

outstanding service

Beautiful hotel with lovely modern lobby including pool table and xbox 360 for guest use. Pool area is superb with plenty of comfortable loungers and umbrellas, and pool itself is wonderful. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped as are bathrooms, and are cleaned to a high standard daily. Balcony overlooking pool area and golf course gave a lovely view. Bathroom amenities were limited - soap, shower gel and shampoo and bedrooms could have used a bit of an update, but beds are large and very comfortable. Unfortunately the air conditioning in our room was very lacking meaning even on the lowest setting our room was uncomfortably warm at times. Hotel is located 25mins away from the main port/beach and restaurant area, but the walk is very pleasant and there are some restaurants and small shops closer by. The food is good, but above all else the attentions and warmth of the staff was the highlight. Reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, as were restaurant staff. I have never experienced such a warm welcome and staff so professional and willing to go the extra mile in any other hotel in France. The people are a credit to the Novotel brand.

Excellent location with scenic views to enjoy.

We booked for 5 days during half-term. The Hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, our room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The bathroom was modern; the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen - well done to the cleaning staff. My husband is a keen golfer, so we went round the course together. It was a fantastic setting to play golf and the landscape and wildlife made it special. We will be returning to this same hotel on another occasion.

Cell phones

Nice place but cell phones can't connect when in the rooms. Parking lot Is Ok to make cell phone calls.

Expected more, typical 3 star, not 4

The hotel is situated futher away from the beach- it takes about 25 minutes to walk to the seaside. The reception team does not speak English very well which is disappointing in a 4 star international hotel company. Also, the reception team was not able to give clear intructions on how to get to the beach or bus...(we found it on our own). I guess communication in English was the problem. Breakfast disappointing- awful scrumbled eggs small selection of food, no regional or French delicious specialties, defenitely not worth the 15 euros. It's better to eat out in bars or bakeries in the town. Worn-out poor quality sheets and bath towels- defenitely not like in a 4 star hotel...Very nice pool, though we went to the beach to swim there.

We only spent one night at this hotel but we thoroughly enjoyed renting bicycles to go around the town. People at the desk were very nice and helpful.

Un tres bon sejour, avec un personnel agréable et serviable, les chambres sont calme et propre. La piscine agreable avec des points d'ombres. Excellent Séjour, personnel très accueillant et dévoué, diner original, belle prestation, carte des vins correcte, pourrait être amélioré... et le cadre toujours aussi magnifique!

Bel hôtel dont le vrai plus réside principalement dans la qualité de l'accueil de son personnel.Le petit déjeuner est également vraiment bon faisant appel à des producteurs locaux. En revanche, les chambres sont un peu vieillottes, literie moyenne et surtout très mauvaise insonorisation avec bruit venant de la route car tout près d'une route nationale bruyante A noter également que l'hôtel est loin de tout. 20 mn en vélo de la plage la plus proche.

Uns hat die Unterkunft gefallen. Die Zimmer waren zweckmässig eingerichtet. Das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich. Das Frühstück war super und vielseitig. Das Abendessen war nicht so gut. Kalt und nicht qustrichend gewürzt. Alles in allem hat uns der Aufenthalt überzeugt. Wir waren zufrieden.

Séjour en famille mais chambre trop petite pour 4, besoin de rafraîchir la décoration de la chambre car pas au niveau d’un 4 étoiles. Hall super beau, très bon petit déjeuner.

Golf Novotel

Service accueil excellent, diner vraiment délicieux, carte des vins régionaux à la hauteur, belle chambre avec vue sur le parcours de golf. Simple bémol: le grand lit est pliant, et fait un boucan du tonnerre ! Impensable sur une chambre supérieure...??? Pour le reste, tout était parfait!

Recommandable

Nous avions une compétition, on a pris une chambre de 4 personnes. L’accueil était bon, la chambre propre et le petit déjeuner en chambre à l’heure et de qualité. Merci les enfants ont eu la médaille d’or aussi grâce à leur bon repos et leur bon petit déjeuner.

Hotel très bien, confortable .Accueil agréable . 3 bémols : 1) parking payant , ça c'est un peu excessif, 2) employer des stagiaires c'est bien mais il faut les former 3) le dessert qu'on nous a servi était trop salé, fougasse à la fleur de sel, tellement que personne n' a pu le manger. la réponse a été de nous dire que c'était la recette. Si la recette n'est pas bonne , il est impératif de la modifier.

Dommage que le parking soit payant pour un hôtel de cette qualité!!!

Hotel à éviter ! aucun professionnalisme, manque d'information de la part de l'hôtelier mais ce dernier ne sera pas responsable, un accueil à revoir, sans parler du fait qu'on nous raconte des mensonges a notre arrivé ! la meilleure chose que je retiens c'est de ne pas y retourner !

Hôtel très sympathique, personnel agréable. Le seul soucis c’est qu’il est mentionné « mini bar » malheureusement dans le « mini bar » il y avait qu’une bouteille d’eau. Mais dans l’ensemble l’hôtel est très agréable.

Hotel bien situé au calme dans un cadre magnifique. Chambre confortable. Dommage que le balcon soit ridiculement minuscule impossible d’en profiter. Mauvais point au room service avec tous les couverts en carton jetables, dommage car le repas etait bon mais insipide a cause du carton, idem pour le petit déjeuner, le café prend le goût du carton. Viennoiserie immangeable.

Hôtel accueillant et agréable situé à l'entrée du golf mais à 30 minutes de marche de la plage. Chambre grande et confortable avec bonne literie. La restauration laisse parfois à désirer. Il y a peu de choix et pour un long séjour ça devient très répétitif.

Un peu déçu du bar le midi. Il n'y avait personne et l'attente était longue pour des cocktails pas toujours réussis. Idem pour le petit déjeuner du lundi, beaucoup de produits manquants et on sentait le personnel un peu débordé. Sinon le personnel était très agréable comme d'habitude.

Un rouleau de papier toilette entamé pour 3. Une bouteille d'eau 33cl pour 3. Aucun produit d'hygiène... Même. Après notre demande. Pas de café ni de thé dans la chambre. Il fallait donc en demander à l'accueil La. Dame a donné 1 sucre et 1 café deca....à se partager 🤔 Bref des détails mais contraires à ce qu'affiche la chaine d'hôtel. Sinon pour le reste du personnel juste au top. Hôtel calme et propre.

Sejour reposant, chambre agréable, calme et propre. Le Petit déjeuner est complet, mais très bruyant. Seul bemole la restauration n'est malheureusement pas au niveau.
