No towels, No Soap, No Shampoo, No Hair drier, No Iron. Parking cost $30/day. $45 resort fee for our 2 days, there is no resort, No Pool, no hot tub, no games, just a lobby and rooms. Every time one of our neighbors opened their door our door would move making it sound like someone was trying our doorknob. The place was clean, and close to the beach but maybe I'm just spoiled by other hotels that know you probably want to shower. Wishing I'd have read the reviews!
Pictures on expedia gave false impression of quality. No quality here. Only light that worked in the room was in bathroom. Rat running just outside window sill. Cramped space, dodge open closet door in entry space. We left. NOT happy.
The floor was dirty and no help
Please upgrade facilities. I almost vomit just by the scent and the bathroom
Pretty much the only thing we liked about this property was the location. It was a nice area. The property itself was not good. Their is no service in the room. You also get a $90 "resort" fee which makes you wonder what it's for. We had one very tiny small soap to share between two of us. One little packet of shampoo and two medium size towels. Nothing else. Oh, we had to go down and ask for a roll of paper towel since we only had one roll which was not full when we go there. The bathroom... let me just say that my closet at home is bigger. And much cleaner! Fortunately, we spent all the time outside having fun and went to the room only to sleep. Oh, and the bed frame was just sitting against the bed and not secured in any way. I has a cute little lobby, so it looks nice and cozy when you go in to the place, but that's about it. I will not be staying in the place again.
Ok for one night stay...
The exterior of the building was nice, the lobby area was quaint, my room was clean but the bed was not the greatest, only two electrical sockets one each wall and no USB outlets to plug phone and devices and my toilet would not flush properly... It was OK for my one night stay in Miami.
.
You get what you pay for.
Don't show up until 4, they make you sit in the lobby. Very little parking. Had to park in an adjacant lot for $40. Keycard didn't work. Had to go back to the desk. Room is very small and we didn't have any towels when we got there. Had to get them from the front desk and even the desk worker wasn't sure if they were clean.
.
I didn’t enjoy the stay on this property, it was dirty there were wet towels from I guess previous guests so they didn’t took the time to clean the room the AC was not working it was so hot in the room, never again I will stay here.
Dirty. Room was not cleaned. Still had stuff from the last people there. They probably never replaced towels or sheets. Bed was made with the last persons items and dirt still there. Old alcohol bottles still in the room and drawers. It was gross. I couldn’t sleep. You get what you pay for in the area though. Only needed to stay one night. Cheapest I could find in the area. So I didn’t care but never would I use that place for a longer stay. It was disgusting. On top of that, the front desk person was rude.
So dirty and they don’t provide most things. The soap bar seemed either really old or used.
It was a nice hotel. Very close to the beach not a far walk.
Absolutely Awfull!!
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Check in was timely and rude. Room was absolutely awful…toilet didn’t flush, tv did not work, had to go to cvs and buy our own toilet paper, no power for most of the morning of checkout, had to pay $50 to park and they want us to pay for coffee in the morning. Not staff was lazy and beyond rude. Thankfully we only needed a room for one night but it wasn’t worth what we paid.
Light when off a whole day, they never had towels for the beach available horrible experience.
What A Joke
The lobby was nice close to the beach. Room was terrible no A/C opened window no locks on window Ground floor. TV was not working properly called front desk said they were working on it. No TV at all during stay. Bathroom was very outdated was given a small bar of for 2 people to share and one bath towel. Went to the front desk to get more. Beds were very uncomfortable. Everything in the room was over 40 years old. Then they charged me a deposit and resort fee for the privilege to stay there.
Unique
Nice location and in walkable distance to the beach. But rooms are dated and it was kinda weird having tile flooring in a room. But maybe that was for sand purposes. It was clean though.
Oh Hell NO
Worst hotel ever !!!! This hotel didn't even have towels, soap, or extra toilet paper in the room. When I went to the front desk to ask if they had any shampoo/conditioner/soap, his response was, "normally guests bring that with them." For the last 20 years every hotel we've stayed at always had shampoo, conditioner, soap. Thank baby Jesus I brought my own. There were no towels whatsoever in the room except one bath towel that was left at the end of our bed, looking like someone just threw it there in a hurry. When I went down to tell the front desk we had no towels, he handed me one bath towel but no hand towels or wash clothes! No tissues, no hair dryer. The top blanket had numerous cigarette burns. Turning it over wasn't any better. No A/C. When we told the front desk that our room didn't have a/c, he said they have a/c but he controls it? He advised us to use the ceiling fan. We tried that and it didn't work. Our only option was to open our window, which we did, but with all the traffic and constant riff raff walking by and constantly yelling... We didn't rest at all! The toilet wouldn't completely flush. You could pee and flush but toilet paper wouldn't go down. TV didn't work. No alarm clock or any kind of clock whatever. Opened the refrigerator to put in water and Gatorade but it didn't work either. Bottom line, our experience here was horrible. We only stayed here overnight so that we could get to the Port of Miami early the next morning for our cruise.
This place it's disgusting, El air conditioner were defective and they did not tell before de checking, after the checkin I ask for the air conditioner and told that so I asked for a refund to find another place and they didn't want to give my money. I had to move to another hotel because the room were too hot. The bathroom were disgusting tooz they did not clean very well and the bed was full of dust. I recommend to you to never think to staying in this horrible place.
I was told there would be parking available and there is NO parking. I’m not happy
Horrible time
Air conditioning was broken and room was dirty window was left open room was hot and noisy
Room was extremely dirty and dusty upon entering. I had to ask for a room change because there were stains and hairs on the sheets of the bed. You could literally see all the dust on the floor. There was two large water bug roaches in our bathroom. Bathroom had no towels or toilet paper upon arrival. There was no AC the first day. And they tried to charge me a 22 dollar resort fee per day that expedia doesn’t include, but upon communication on all our troubles they removed it.
The shower head had what looked like pink mold. There was no AC and the elevator was broken (upon looking at reviews from a different site, it looks like the AC is broken consistently).
Don’t Stay Here!!!
Horrible hotel… AC Doesn’t Work the noise in the Area is 24/7 Room and decor outdated.
No tenía aire acondicionado.
Thank you
This hotel is a scam they knew that AC did not work from the beginning. No hot water and then do not want to refund any money. The whole thing is to set up a scam. Do I think you are going to stay here and enjoy yourself? Whatsoever, the pictures are completely misleading. The front desk lady was. Sarcastic not a good experience in any way
I understand what’s confort and what’s not, No AC in room, miserable fan in room, super hot conditions, all property except lobby. Staff very casual, looks that they don’t care at all ! Zero on main amenities! Terrible
You get what you pay
Worst hotel in Miami Beach
Everything was painted with old paint. Cracks in the walls things were painted over. There was someone’s hair in the tub. Toilet would not flush the stool down, it took several flushes. Would not let my dog stay there.
Room was small, bathroom was smaller. Room had no temperature control but enough blankets to keep you warm and it was cool enough. Very noisy from surrounding areas but for the price it was worth the stay.
It’s Cheap and i read reviews about the bugs and still booked. YES THE ROOMS HAVE BUGS. Overall if ur by yourself and just need a room to yourself for a night $70 is not bad only thing that made me uncomfortable is the bugs.
Demolition permit must be delayed
This place is a dump and should be torn down.
This is the worst boutique hotel I have ever stayed at. They are strict about checking in at 4pm but they only have 1 slow receptionist to do everything so by 4pm there was a lobby of people waiting. I was 5th in line and didn’t get checked in for 45 minutes. Once o got to my room the key didn’t work, back to the front desk for another 5 minutes to get a new key. Once on the room No towels or washcloths, or room phone to call reception to get some. I had to go back to reception to wait for the one receptionist to retrieve towels that were very dingy looking that I had to question their cleanliness. The beds were like cot mattresses and I woke up with a little ache in my back. They need to seriously upgrade some things. I will Never stay there again.
They were doing work in the room above mine until 11 pm. I was told they would be done by 9. That sucked.
Pros: -great location, short walk to the beach. - nice view from room 216 Cons: - they charge a resort fee, and there are little to no amenities in the room. Our room had no washcloths and one towel although the reservation was for two people. We had to go to the front desk twice to get sufficient towels and washcloths. - Poor lighting in the room, it felt more like a basement area. - There is no temperature controls in the room. There is one central air vent that blew air continuously. It was cold outside and cold inside the room and we had no control over it. -There is no iron in the room and the safe does not work. - The bathroom was not properly cleaned. There was dust in corners, marks on the toilet bowl and the bathtub was old and had missing fixtures. It was hard to get the hot water because the knob turned continuously. - There is absolutely no free parking in the area so if you have a car, be prepared to pay for a garage or metered parking on the street.
Well, this property is cheap. Yes, but it’s not clean the bedsheets. It’s very dirty. The bathrooms is very dirty even the room. It’s not clean and even the elevator so old and sometimes doesn’t work. It was bad experience. I don’t think I will book this hotel again.
If you stay here, you need room 302 otherwise
When I arrive, two girls were yelling at the young man behind the desk, who was dressed in a suit. They told me not to stay there. I went up in the room. I had a great view of the ocean, but other than that the room was dirty. The bedding was dirty that they gave me two towelsthat were dirty. They had no beach chairs. They had no remote for the television. The television was broken. One of the lamps was broken. They gave me one small bar of soap to last for four days. I went down to ask for an iron or ironing board which they did not have. They did not have beach That were dirty. They had no beach chairs. They had no remote for the television. The television was broken. One of the lamps was broken. They gave me one small bar of soap to last for four days. I went down to ask for a iron or ironing board which they did not have. They did not have beach chairs. They did not have beach towels Everything. They said they had on their website. They did not have the only thing I can say was is that the men behind the desk, always wore a suit and when they were confronted too hard by people which they were being confronted by people all weekend, they would get up and walk away from the front desk and send the housekeeper to deal with the people. No Customer Service I asked for a hairdryer. He said he would require an ID from me. I told him I would go buy my own.
Throw this notebook away
upon arrival, front desk clerk was on a personal call, put up his finger to indicate for us to wait, then minutes later sprung a resort fee & $30/day parking fee which had not been disclosed before, told us that it was Hotel.com's fault for not disclosing to us, then very nonchalantly handed the card after all that. No thank you no courtesy no nothing. Building is old & dilapidated. In desperate need of renovation. No thermostat, A/C not working regularly, door slams heard throughout the night, creaky floor boards, dirty disgusting bathrooms, tiny balconies. The only thing this place has going for it is proximity to the beach. Other than that, a dreadful experience. Avoid!
The toilet seat had human fieces on it and they refused to clean it. Claimed house keeping left at 3:30pm and there was nothing they could do.
Great. African american receptionist was awesome!
The location is so-so. My view was awesome. Aside from that, the place made my list as the worst dump I have ever been to. Staff's service was arguably the worst. Greeting me? No. Wanting to help me? No. Friendly? No. Attentive? No. They were busy watching their shows on their phones or on the phone talking and couldn't be bothered. I asked for change to use the coffee machine and was given a look as though I shouldn't even dare interrupting while watching the show, let alone even imply that they could provide change. The bathroom was as bad as any, and it resembled one from a third-world country (or forth world). Two bath towels, but no hand towels, tissues, shower soap, shampoo, etc. In essence, bare bones. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, but "a bed is a bed" when you are tired. Hot water? You better be prepared to wait for a while. Literally, it took 10 minutes running the water to get lukewarm temperature. A waste of a ton of gallons. At check-out, I asked for a receipt. That was another adventure. None of the people running the front desk were interested in providing a slightly better service. They are probably "waiting" for someone to buy the place out or getting zero salaries. This place gives a whole new meaning to DUMP.
This place is a complete joke. The room was filthy, covered in mold, and reeked of humidity. The sheets and towels were stained—yes, stained—and looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned in months. It was beyond disgusting. The staff? Even worse. They couldn’t care less about the guests and got outright defensive when asked simple, reasonable questions. Their attitude was rude and dismissive, making an already horrible experience unbearable. Honestly, I wouldn’t stay here again if it were the last place on earth. This hotel is an absolute disgrace, and staying here felt like a punishment. Avoid it at all costs.
The front desk person supposed be nice ,ass soon arrive the person from the over night from desk was really nasty and unprofessional,he don't suppose stay in a phone call during my check in but after that he was really rude to explain me who I can access the 3 floor,my experience was really bad in the property,l don't come back anymore
I booked this property because it says early check in available that was a lie . I ask for ice they said the machine has been broken since December 31 2024 . The towel had a long black hair on it and I didn’t even get a wash cloth . Water pressure was extremely low . Toilet hardly flush . The key they gave me didn’t work and the employee that was on called didn’t know how to program key card so he left and it took him 15 minutes to come back with working card . Deposit was never returned although I return the room in the same status they gave to me ! Wall had water damage in my room and the mini refrigerator turn my orange juice hot instead of cold ! There was a man drinking on the chairs outside the door , people walking in pajamas in mid day , another working packing her stuff and changing clothes in middle of lobby mid day as well . I didn’t leave at the moment because it was the closest hotel I found near the sea port for my cruise . Disappointing isn’t the word . I just want my deposit back . I’ll be disputing deposit as soon as I get off this ship
bed broke while i was sitting on the right side of the bed, double checked to see what was going on and it seems that there was only 3 support beams on the bed instead of the normal 12 that were on the left. so much for taking a much needed nap with my partner when traveling down south. first and last time.
DO NOT STAY IN THIS DUMP!!!
This hotel is a scam. A dirty, unrenovated, unsafe dump. It is nothing like the photos posted. The rooms have no AC controls (the only option is a central noisy and freezing AC), no security measures, it is dirty, old, and full of mildew. The rooms and hallways are dark and dim, dirty and foul-smelling. Rooms have no security bars in the shower, no phones, no fire alarm. The staff is unfriendly, unresponsive, and rude. Of course, Hotels.com does not check properties before selling them with non-refundable fees. This is the type of hotel that offers non-refundable fees because of how terrible it is. It is a scam. DO NOT STAY HERE.
For the price in that area, it was a needed shelter and that's it, shelter and hot water for the night. We got the best room they had to offer and we only needed it for 1 night. The shower could've been cleaned better, TV didn't work, bed was super lumpy, and curtains needed to be washed badly. And be sure to bring your own towels and wash cloths because they will not have any, maybe 2 towels in your bathroom but that's it. I'm sure the owners can afford to put a little more TLC in these rooms. But sadly, because of the location and price, you can tell they don't care and will do the bear minimum and people will still stay. They better keep those rates low or they will be out of business for sure.
I asked for an extra towel, they didn't have any! Wait what? They didn't have a single extra towel. They should have provided towels for the beach also and guess what... Of course they didn't have any. The room has a TV but no remote control. There is no air conditioning and if you need shampoo and conditioner, forget it! anyway... the only positive point of this "hotel" is the distance to the beach.
Staff was great! Area has lots of options. Close to the beach and plenty of restaurants.
Good Hotel
Hotel was great will be back. Was affordable and location was great
Terrible customer service. Almost 1 hour to check in and 1 hour to check out. They were not helpul. Bad experience in this place
The complimentary water cooler was black from dirt clearly not cleaned in a while. The other guests were rude and noisy. You cannot check in early. The A/C was not working. The chairs in the lobby were not comfortable. The elevator looked from the 30s and not in the cool way the art Deco scene demands. There was no where to charge a phone at and when I decided to sit out side in the back I got dirty looks from some of the staff. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and I shared the patio with a friendly iguana that I feel was telling me to get out. So I booked another hotel and walked away.
Don’t stay here
The key card door lock was non functional, so we always had a hard time getting into our room. One time we had to wait over an hour for a technician to arrive. When we first arrived, the room was quite dirty: objects on the floor, open beer cans in the fridge and clear signs of human excrement on the toilet seat and bowl. The staff didn’t care. I asked to speak to the manager who was offsite. They said he had been made aware of the issues and would contact me by email. That was 5 days ago at the time of this review. Just don’t stay here.
Absolutely disgusting! There was hair clippings in the sink, hair on the bed, literal piss on the floor around the toilet, bathtub had a hole in it, and the floors was sticky. Offers on site parking for a fee but didn’t have availability so was told to park next door at a parking garage that was extremely expensive. I didn’t even spend the night I returned the keys and booked elsewhere. Staff was defensive when I complained about the room and told me no other rooms were available, elevator was shut down and the only other option is a narrow stairway. DO NOT BOOK HERE!
Room is not clean, bathroom is not clean, fan is noisy. Bed is and sheets are dirty. No lighting in room. Curtains doesnt cover the room light comes in all night.
Too bad to stay ! Waste of Money !
This hotel has an overall great location. Anything beyond that was terrible! Staff, Cleanliness, Comfort, Facility Condition ...all are truly awful.
The building is super creepy and there’s a door connecting the rooms looks like it was sealed with paint. Had me sleeping with one eye open. This place looks nothing like the pictures. It looks like a New York apartment in the hood. The room came with no towels I had to go downstairs to ask for towels and was handed dirty towels, ended up had to buy a towel so I could shower. The person downstairs was new and kind of rude. The owner was really nice but probably cause he could tell I was annoyed by the whole situation.
Gorgeous, staff super friendly
Christian and Simon the front desk staff members were very helpful and nice!
Good value for money
Excellent location and clean hotel. Very friendly staff. Air condition is centrally controlled. So carry a sweater. Room fixtures like towel holders need to be tightened so that they dont fall off :-)
The central air conditioning which has no controls from room is kept at extremely cold temperatures!!! It's the worst stay because of that ...we couldn't be comfortable at all in the room we paid for so that's unexptable
Not the best place to stay.
Nothing in the room was cleaned before my say. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.
Staff very nice new trainee did a good job checking us in with his manager but rooms were a little dirty
Was dirty, someone’s hair everywhere, there was no shampoo or body wash.
Older Historic Property Unfortunately housekeeping only visited my room once during my four night stay. The staff is otherwise very helpful and kind. There are no landline phones in the rooms, which I found disappointing, and the TV was quite small by comparison to most other places and was hardly noticeable on the wall. Finally, one of the bed slaps holding up my mattress kept falling through. It is a comfortable place overall, but I found the housekeeping component terribly disappointing.
They put us in a room that had been used and was not cleaned , the bathtub had paint on it and it was peeling off it also had hairs stuck to it, so he moved us to a different room that was also dirty with black mold on it
Buyer aware. That hotel will steal your deposits. You won't get it back at all. I WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN UNTIL I GET MY DEPOSIT MONEY BACK. Also the remote controls doesn't work on the TV.
Stay somewhere else!!!
Terrible place with horrible staff. No amenities. The remote control for the TV did not work with the Roku device. Had to pay for the limited parking. No food. No shampoo. No soap. No housekeeping service. Nasty front desk clerk. Too many posters of Marilyn Monroe. Old hotel from the 1930s with old plumbing in the bathrooms. Noisy location.Too many extra charges and hidden fees for a lousy room.
Unresponsive
Upon checkout they charged me more than what i already agreed on, killed about dozen flies in the room. The bathroom light wouldn't shut off and there was no towels. But i guess i get what i pay for. It was okay for one day but i wouldn't stay any longer then that.
Peace of mind
I had a comfy stay!
The staff was quite unhelpful and unhappy to even explain anything. Seems like they gate their job and just want get as much money from you as possible
Me quedé en el hotel por 4 noches y 5 días y nunca tuve una mucama que me cambiara al menos las toallas ni limpiara la habitación. El hotel se ve en fotos muy bonito y vintage pero cuando llegas no tiene nada que ver
Everything
The TV wasn't even connected told the front desk. He told me to wait in the morning to ask someone. Once WE connected there was no sound on the tv. No amenities like it says on the website. It was ok. Only thing good was the view.
Had to make 4 trips to room from car that was parked across the street on fifth floor during hurricane evacuation with pets and luggage because of broken elevator and hotel does not have luggage carts and no help from staff. One tiny soap bar in bathroom, one towel, no washcloths and one roll of tissue.
The rooms are dated and the tclvs are small and remotes dont work. Theybgave only one towel for 2 people. The water pressure is good.
Very easy check in, very helpful staff, and let me leave my luggage before checking in without any issue. Only thing is that Expedia made me pay the $35.09 destination fee (which says payable at property) online before hand and then I had to pay it AGAIN when I was checking in. Expedia did not advertise this and I feel like deliberately did this to make the overall fee of my stay appear lower than it was in total. They made me double pay, as in the had me pay a fee online once and again at the property which is very misleading in my opinion.
The staff is very impolite, there is no parking and the elevators isn’t working, the crowd is unsafe who stays there
Terrible stay poor service, asked for towels they had no towels... free parking not available .... big disappointment......
I wanted to pay for early check in and there was no room ready! Had one person cleaning the rooms. I thought I had reserved a parking but end up paying 50 not 30
Elevator was broken, stairs for 3 flights. Room had no toilet paper or washing cloth or hand towels or blankets or top sheet. No trash can. Bed was broken. Missing towel bar and no drinking cup. Every trip to secure needs required all the stairs. Would not stay here again.
.
You get what you pay for but not this bad
The hotel has centralized AC, which meant in my room I could not control the temp except to turn the vent downwards. However, this did not make a difference and the room was too cold. The towels looked really worn and light. They and the bed linen were not changed routinely. 3 days passed and my linen was not changed, so I had to go request it from Front Desk and change it myself. Then they only gave me one clean pillow sheet. There was only one garbage bin in the room which had to be shared between the bathroom and the rest of the room use. Hot water took forever to come on (10 Mins) and the toilet seat had marks on it and the shower curtain didn't look like it was changed regularly. The room had no room phone nor iron/iron board. WOW Wifi was good and space felt very safe.
The worst place I have ever seen, the room without hot water, dirty bathroom area, extremely dirty, bad smell throughout the room, I didn't like it. cost remedy of leaving the place since the conditions of the place were nothing like the Expedia photos
Only good thing is location and price. You sleep on your toes, due to dirtiness, creepiness and noise. Hotel staff are rude and most probably high. The hotel smells like weed. I booked it coz I only had to sleep there few hours and leave but I wouldn’t stay longer than that even if I get paid.
Disgusting room
I am very disappointed with the cleanliness And The service of the room. The bathroom and the refrigerator are so disgusting that we didn't even dare to use the shower. It is impossible to put anything in the fridge. Wi-fi works very bad , the table lamps do not work, only the lamp on the ceiling, which has a very weak spotlight. There are no channels on the television, and the tv remote”s battery are dead ………I don’t have pictures only videos so you can see guys perfectly what I am talking about .I have many videos . Where I can send you ?
Smell marihuana
No towels. Dirty tub. When u walk in the establishment it smells like piss. Rude staff but the black guy overnight is sweet everyone else is horrible!!!
Staff very rude the guy working front desk act like I was bothering him when I arrive to check in unexpected fees when i checked in which I never paid at no hotel I would rather sleep outside before I stay at this hotel again
I want a refund
They did not have any towels; you can hear the people next to you and above you while in the room.
We stayed 9 days here and was disappointed with having to pay a extra $30 a day to park at the hotel. Also the beds were awful, more for a toddler that a adult. Our television was ridiculously small. No coffee pots or any kind of convenience you would expect from most hotel's. It was clean and the location was ideal. If it wasn't for the extra cost for parking the price was fair.
Muy malas condiciones, no nos pudimos quedar
Everything was good, I read the reviews and planned accordingly. Took a fan, some trash bags, and soaps. The only complain I have is there is nothing disclosed about hotel fees, they charge me an additional $20 daily and parking fee is $30 daily which is cheaper than street but still would appreciate a disclosure since i had a tight budget. Had to cancel other activities to pay those unexpected charges.
