Caution is advised in booking this hotel

When I arrived at the hotel, the reception staff took me to a neighboring hotel because apparently they had overbooked. That room was small and very basic and didn’t deserve what I had paid for the night’s stay. Next day at around 1pm I was given a better room in the hotel I had paid for but they lodged me in the basement with no view. I chose the room based on its promised view and a garden patio that I never got to see. But I was happy that at least I got a better room for two nights even if the hotel management never offered a word of regret.

Staying in the heart of Old Town

Hotel located very conveniently to all main attractions. Breakfast is very good, rooms are very comfortable and clean, people on reception are very helpful. I booked a trip to Cappadocia thru hotel and it was organized very well. I am very happy with my stay in Nomade Hotel Exclusive.

Fabulous week in ISTANBUL !!

Place was comfortable and clean . Service was excellent , someone there 24 hours in reception. Breakfast was a very good buffet of local foods and plenty to choose from . Hotel staff arranged a tour for us and our taxi service back to the airport . Excellent location , walked everywhere. Close to the sights . Plenty of places to see and restaurants .

Lovely stay

We had a wonderful stay and would come back to this hotel if we return to Istanbul. Staff was very friendly and helpful, location is 10/10 close to all the sites and walking distance from the main tourist attractions, rooms are clean and very spacious. The breakfast that is included with the stay is fantastic! We stayed 6 nights and never got bored of the breakfast because they switch the dishes everyday and they have so many options to choose from. We loved our stay at Nomade and would highly recommend it! Lovely stay!

Gokhan welcomed us with an upgrade to the suite on level 3. Amazing views of the Blue Mosque from the bedroom and private rooftop. Newly renovated rooms, great firm bed, excellent bathroom with all toiletries. Absolutely delicious breakfast so plentiful & great variety, the home baked cakes were great. Every staff member at the hotel was friendly and welcoming and happy to assist with sightseeing/food options. Very close walking distance to all main attractions & tram. Will absolutely stay here again. Surrounded by restaurants & shops - Special mention to the fabulous new La Vina Garden 1864 straight across the road do not miss it when you stay here! Great service and staff

The staff demonstrated exceptional friendliness and kindness towards my 8-year-old nephew. They were also very helpful in arranging airport transportation. However, there was a slight confusion upon our arrival as the name on the pick-up sign was my nephew's instead of mine. Additionally, the room that was booked was listed as having a double bed and a king-size bed, but it actually had a single bed and a king-size bed.

Would not recommend

The location is central to the historic area. The hotel is dated and many things don't work. The key card didn't work, then we were given a key, which worked at certain times, then stopped working as well. The safe box didn't work. The breakfast was not good. The front desk gentleman was rude and not polite. All he did was try to sell us a "tour."

Amazing stay. Perfectly located.

The stay was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Service was wonderful and breakfast amazing. Airport shuttle took a long time to arrive and I was not on their list despite booking well in advance and re-confirming hours prior.

Friendly staff, very calm premises - I highly recommend booking back rooms for better calmness. Reasonable price with attractions surrounding.

Great location, very comfortable rooms, great staff and what a breakfast! Many of the sites to see and visit are all within walking distance, so the location is hard to beat. They even did our laundry for the same price as the self-service locations nearby.

Enjoy your vacation in Istanbul

Hotel serves a wonderful breakfast, close to major attractions like the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. Staff is extremely helpful if you have questions or need anything. This hotel has an elevator. Less stress means a better experience.

Istanbul Gem

Nomads was a perfect place for us to stay while in Istanbul. Our room was large, very comfortable, and well equipped with all we needed. The staff was lovely and very serviceable plus our daily breakfast was healthy and very delicious. The hotel is conveniently close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern and the Topkaki Palace. If you’re planning to visit Istanbul and need a place to stay, look no further than Nomade Hotel. You will not be disappointed!

Gokhan was especially helpful and facilitated all of our requests. His efforts really made our visit easy and memorable. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. Great job Nomade Hotel!

Great location and exceptional stagf

Excellent hotel in an excellent location. The staff is friendly and extremely hard working -- they offer superior customer service to all guests. Breakfast is healthy, tasty with lots of different options . Location is honestly ideal. The area is safe and fun. Highly recommend!

This property is in a great location within walking distance from Hagia Sofia area. It is also close to the waterfront area. The breakfast buffet is good. The room I booked is spacious and well maintained. All the facilities are working. The front desk staff is polite and helpful.

Istanbul Trip

Nomade Hotel was great! Located in the old city of Istanbul but as far as location its excellent! Very close to The Blue Mosque. Breakfast was also very good. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. Servuce was great too. Very helpful and also provide excellent information for me as a tourist

The managers are extremely friendly and helpful. We had the best time staying at this property and look forward to staying again. The breakfast was delicious and the staff is very hospitable and attentive. Strongly recommend.

Absolutely perfect stay here, staff were so friendly and kind. Stayed here for my birthday and they even got me a cake and celebrated it! Would happily stay here again, 10/10

Fantastic for the price

Reception staff very helpful. Access to cake and coffee gratis. Breakfasts had good choices and offered different items each day. Ver good location for major sites. Rooms comfortable with plenty of toiletaries. Maid cleaned room each day. Plenty of restaurants nearby but similar menus. Better to go further for more choice and lower prices. Overall a very pleasant few days.

Good location, but not in a good condition

There are two good things about this hotel: 1) location (close to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia); 2) breakfast. Other than that it's extremely basic and not in a great condition (e.g. wall plug hanging out (what's up with that?!), paint peeling off, no toilet paper holder, faucet shaky etc.). I felt the price I paid was too high, all things considered. Also, I didn't get the room I reserved, not really sure of the reason. The staff was friendly and aimed to please, however, so no complaints there.

Very good location and very clean!

We loved our 5 night stay. The breakfast was an incredible spread, the staff super nice and so close to the Blue Mosque. A fabulous experience and the area surrounding the hotel is in a very quiet and fun neighborhood with good restaurants and shopping.

I loved the location of this property. It was within easy walking distance to most of the city's iconic sites. It was in a neighborhood, with plenty of places to shop and eat. The staff was warm and helpful. They arranged transportation for us to and from the airport and wherever else we wanted to go. We checked in early and they were able to accommodate us. I was very happy here.

Wonderful

Lovely stay. People who works there are very kind. My favorite part was breakfast and lady who cooked it - she was so sweet and professional! Front desk guys were always helpful. Room wasn’t big, but it’s okay. Walls could use some touch up, tv wasn’t working, but I don’t watch it, so didn’t try to fix it. Location is great, close to all the touristic spots. Restaurants around aren’t good in my opinion - go eat somewhere else. Overall, loved the hotel

Excellent Hotel Choice…wonderful customer service!

Gocan was extremely helpful in providing things to do around the area, information on getting around Istanbul and recommendations for dining. The hotel location was very near to all major sightseeing in Istanbul.

We had a great stay at the Nomade Hotel Exclusive. It was extremely conveniently located to all the attractions in Sultanahmet like Hagia Sophia and Blue mosque. Only a short walk to the nearest metro stop when going further. Loads of restaurants and bars nearby also so never a need to be using taxis. Staff were all extremely friendly, cleaning staff even folded and hung up clothes in the wardrobe everyday. Reception kindly organised our taxi to the airport on the last day and was extremely efficient

The best thing about this hotel is the location. We were able to walk and visit everything.

Perfect place to stay in the heart of Sultanhamet

This little gem was such a pleasant stay! The front desk was incredibly helpful in arranging transport and suggesting things to do during the day, the breakfast was delicious and fantastic, and the kitchen ladies were so lovely and kind. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the blue mosque and Hagia Sofia were less than a 5 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a 3 night stay which was pleasant even prior to arrival. I communicated with staff in whatsap and they were able to make accommodations as needed. I also arranged airport transfers through them which was convenient. Would stay again.

Excellent location

We booked it for two more days as we liked it so much. This staff were wonderful as the hosts were very helpful and would give excellent advice as we had been in a number of towns in The country and spend 42 days touring. The best breakfast was at the nomade as every day there was something new on the buffet table as well as fresh bake cakes or cookies available in the late afternoon or evening. Felt more like having a nice room in a house with great hosts. One uphill Block to the blue mosque, Sophia mosque, 3 blocks to Tokpaki palace and the cistern. Superb location in a tough place to find. Ugly traffic in all of Istanbul! We also walked from the hotel along the water to the spice market and then uphill to the Grand Bazaar as the big old bazaar to us was a dud. Thanks to the Nomade staff for a great send off as we are now in Greece.

Home on the road.

The best staff we have experienced in Turkey after arriving in Istanbul after 5 weeks of travel around the country. Felt sad to leave today as the best breakfast at a hotel or anywhere that it was served. The place is a little more that a one or two block walk to the blue mosque, topkapi Palace, bascilica cisterns and Sophia Mosque. Easy walk to ththe spice market and back up the hill to the grand Bazaar which was very smoky.

Small, but relatively inexpensive property. Quiet.

I booked this hotel based off of reviews and the reviews are misleading. When we checked in our room was on the first floor it was pretty cold outside so i tried to turn on the heat but couldn’t figure it out, so i went downstairs and asked the representative and he stated that i shouldn’t mess with it because it will affect the other rooms. It was colllld and the blankets on the bed are thin. Next on to the noise- there is a restaurant across the street that plays music late at night- you hear everything. Im saying everything to people’s conversations and so forth. If someone was smoking outside the smell was in my room. Mind you all my windows were closed. There are stains on the tables and furniture is really old. Also construction going on all day so if your jet lagged goodluck getting any rest here. After close to 30 hours of no sleep I checked out in the morning and found a different hotel.

Friendly, helpful staff. Always have a smile on their faces. Delicious Traditional Turkish Breakfast served daily. Very close to all of the main tourist attractions in Sultanahmet, a few minutes walk gets you to the Bosphorus. Many restaurants in the area. Safe area, with a number of Police checkpoints in the area. Will deffo stay there again!

great family owned boutique hotel in the center of Istanbul old town. 15 min walk to the blue mosque, sofia mosque, grand bazaar, underground cisterns, and the bosphorus water front. excellent front desk help and breakfast. highly recommend. large clean rooms

Great hotel in great location. Beware of restaurants Around hotel they are overpriced as it is the most touristy part of Istanbul.

I was very surprised by the design and the atmosphere of this place! Also, it's very clean and all the linens and towels smell good! Very cozy and the location is superb! Definitely will be coming back!

Nice hotel with excellent location

Hotel is 5 minutes away from Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque. We got an upgrade to a larger room. You have everything you need in your room - bottled water, coffee/tea maker, slippes, shower gels, etc. Breakfast is nice. All the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Wonderful location and service. We even left without paying (honest mistake), since we left in the very early hours and the receptionist was half asleep as were we . Our travel agent settled the bill with them. They are fantastic. Rooms are a little on the small side but comfortable and location is unbeatable

Hotel in the best possible location, walking distance from popular tourist attractions. Room was regularly cleaned and bottled water and toiletries were replenished everyday. Breakfasts were superb.The staff were always very kind and friendly. Huge thanks to the lovely front desk gent for always being helpful and making my overall stay very pleasant. No doubt I'll be back:)

Very good location, very clean room, generous staff. Room is simple and modern. Excellent cost performance! Nice breakfast too! I will stay again next time I am in Istanbul.

At first sight the hotel seemed fine, location was fantastic... but there were a LOT that let it down. First, i booked a transfer from the main airport, and it never showed up. Waited an hour before calling, when we got the taxi to the hotel there was no apology. Second, noise! Never underestimate the value of carpet. Doors slamming, kids screaming, people arguing ALL NIGHT LONG. Third, they cleaned the room every day, even with the do not disturb sign on the door. Forth, on one of those cleanings, the door was left open for anybody to walk in. So yeah... the stay was fine... but we won't stay there again.

The hotel is in a very good location, is basic but staff make the effort to make guests welcome. Comfortable bathroom but rather basic room with no chair for sitting comfortably.

Wonderful stay, convenient location

It was wonderful. Firat the owner, was sweet, kind and ever so helpful. The lady who took care of the cafe buffet went out of her way to make my husband a homemade tea and medicine for his sorethroat and cough. In my years of travel experiences, I've never came across a hotel nor staffs who was so compassionate, attentive and caring like them, they make u feel at home. Bless their good and kind hearts.. Thank you, Firat & team! Location-wise, walking distance to the places of interests - Hagia Sophia, blue mosque, Topkapi Palace. All within 5-10mins walk. Plenty of gift shops and restaurants to explore along the streets, and a small bazaar just around the corner.

Dream trip to Istanbul

When we arrived at the hotel, Efe welcomed us! Efe became our "unofficial" concierge and friend. We also made friends with the wonderful stuff that handles the room cleaning and kitchen preparation, including the famous Turkish breakfasts! To make a long story short, it was hard for us to say good buy to each one of these wonderful people who run this great small hotel!

Great place to stay to explore Istanbul

Do not hesitate to book this boutique hotel. Location is perfect. Everything is near by: main tourist sights, tram stop, places to eat, places to buy souvenirs. It is within few minutes walk from The Blue Mosque, but on a quiet street, so you do not hear noisy traffic.Staff is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is great. Room is a fair size and clean. Cookies and coffee in the lobby area 24 hours :-). If i am to return to Istanbul, will definitely book this hotel again.

Excellent hotel with excellent location, 5 minutes walking from Yenikapi Sahil, and 5 minutes to Sultanahmet. Extremely clean and comfortable. Staff are nice, friendly and helpful Would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody!
