Staff are very friendly
It was quiet and clean.
This was my second stay at this hotel, this time I was given a room on the street side and was a bit noisy especially later in the evening ! The property is clean and convenient to downtown but not in the main part of the city ! The facility is in need of upgrading , for electronics, also there was no refrigerator in the room available. Additionally the parking provided is a lot one street over and requires you to get a key from the front desk and return it ! Just a few things to be aware of !
They got great people working at this place.
The place is family owned; authentic and genuine. The staff are amazing. Front desk Olga was very helpful in answering my questions and took time to write things down with places names and addresses. I am grateful that these places still around.
Quite place to stay in Athens.
It was a nice bed and breakfast hotel in a very nice neighborhood of Athens. Nearby places to eat and shop. Easy pick up point for the Uber Taxi. Breakfast was nice and the staff excellent.
Great family own hotel
A beautiful gem of a hotel. You are treated as family. Overall great value for money
Room in good condition and helpful staff.
No frill but plenty of potential.
This place was great with no frills. It’s a short bus ride to Acropolis, and other sites, great little restaurant just down the street and around the corner, for som authentic Mediterranean food. The place itself is situated in a small part of town, and could use a bit of upkeep but for the price it’s a bargain and Close to things to see.
I liked the bar and location of the hotel .it was convenient.
Property was located in a very creepy area in alley ways and was not safe. We did not even check in we left the area immediately
Very outdated hotel. Very nice staff. Breakfast ok, location ok. By the pictures I was expecting a little bit more, I fel disappointed
Nice and quiet place. It suited my needs. Grate friendly staffs and good breakfast!!
Good area.
It was a great area with coffee shops etc. Bus nearby to go to city center.
Far from the Tourist Area
If your first time in Athens I don't recommend this hotel. It's far from the tourist area. Its residential area and not dangerous. The hotel is quite old fashion and you can hear noise from the corridor and from the other rooms i mean the acoustic is not good. The room was not very comfortable.
Decent hotel in poorly kept area.
The parking is in a lot on the next block over. The hotel staff were very helpful guiding us to the sights.

well the next day i went to have breakfest and sliped and fell on my face hit my nose and broke it all in blood and separted my tooth and hit my head and hurt my nee i asked then to call me a albulance they sed why? hello iam all in blood that,s why i have to see a doctor when i came back from the hosipatal they put me in bedd carried me to my room and the owner mr costa wont report it to his insurance and wont give me the name or number to his insurance company eighter but he know they are at fault
We loved it! Close to buses that take you to the Acropolis, very helpful staff, wonderful neighborhood.
More plus than minus.
Staff friendly enough, WiFi good. Air conditioner very noisy, choice of sleeping with the sound of a tractor in the room or being cold. (Athens abnormally cold New Year 2015).
Hotelier vs Hotel.com
Decent inexpensive hotel, clean rooms, modern bath w/great shower. Upon arrival tho and showing my H's dc reservation, I was told they were fully booked but if I wanted to wait till 11p, a departing guest's room would become available. Having reserved, I accepted. Next morning Hotelier did not recognize Hotels dc and insisted I pay for the room before leaving. He refused to look at my iPhone receipt as he was suspicious of internet commerce - he wanted paper. He also said my appearance displaced another guest the night before. 90 minutes later and 3 times disconnected from "24 hour" service in the US I paid again for the room. 2 days later I received an email from an accountant at Nicola apologizing for the misunderstanding and offering a refund if I provide cc info. HUGE DISCONNECT between Hotels dc and this establishment. Would stay at Nicola again but not thru Hotels dc.
very quite neiborhood, very far from turists atrac
nice and friendly staff, speak English
Do Not Use This Hotel !
this is the worst place I have ever stayed. should have taken note of the previous reviews. this hotel was dirty and located in the worse part of Athens. they tried to make us (and other guests ) pay again saying they had not received payment. they became agressive when we refused.
This is not a hotel buth a dirty space!
This place can you hardly call a Hotel. The room is equiped with something as an airconditioning buth not working at all. The safe is not working (even no batteries!) The bathroom is something from 100 years ago, I even can not describe what kind of dirth is in that room. The toiletbrush ...... never cleaned and with 1 kg of .... ! I am a frequent traveller and this is the worst thing I ever have seen in my live. I can recommend to everybody to stay away from that place. By the way: all te rooms
Hotel Nicola - Good Value and Service
The Hotel Nicola is a straightforward, good value European-style hotel. I stayed there with my girlfriend for two nights. The room was entirely satisfactory: comfortable beds, working AC, balcony, TV, hot water in the showers (not always a sure thing in Greece). The hotel isn't particularly close to central Athens -- 15-20 minute walk plus two stops on the subway -- but that's why it's cheap. The staff recommended a local restaurant just a couple of blocks away and it was one of the best places we went in Athens. The park across the main street is also really pleasant, nice for walking and fills up with families and kids playing soccer in the evenings. The included breakfast was ample and tasty. Minor complaints: The safe in the room didn't work, and the free WiFi didn't reach up to the fourth floor where our room was. The hotel's a little hard to find, and there's a tree growing in front of the sign that makes it harder.
Good value for a budget weekend break
We spent one night in the Nicola to attend a football match in Athens. The hotel had all the basics that we were looking for and we found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Don't be intimidated by the hotel's narrow backstreet location, it's a 5 Euro taxi ride from the main Syntagma square which connects you by Metro to almost everywhere in the city. If you're looking for an inexpensive hotel with all the basics for a fast-paced city break then the Nicola is a good choice.
Nice, quiet hotel a bit further from downtown
We stayed one night at Hotel Nicola. The staff was very helpful and friendly with finding bus stops, the nearest metro, and letting us keep our bags in a storage room during the day after checkout. This hotel is definitely worth the price, so long as you don't mind walking 12 or so blocks to the nearest metro stop.
I wanted to experience what a 2-star hotel in the Kypseli area was like. The cost-quality is about right.

This is you last chance! If you find another one, I will call the Police...", als ob wir was dafür könnten, wenn das Hotel ein Bettwanzenproblem hat.
Terrible
It wan't near to the centre so you have to walk like 3 min and wait for 224 bus or trolley 15. Can it be a hotel? well...I don't think it's worth that price..The room is a dirty, including the bedsheet...During the last night of our stay, there was a water leakage on a corner of the ceiling! Though they offered a room changing we just let it be as we would leave in the next day. Only one good thing was the old staff of the reception are mostly helpful and nice!
Hotel correct.petit dejeuner fort agreable..l acceuil tres correct
Niezapomniane w Atenach
Mieszkaliśmy w hotelu Nicola wykorzystując go jako bazę wypadową do Aten w celu zwiedzania zabytków. Klimatyzacja sprawna, duży taras do naszej wyłacznej dyspozycji, wygodne łóżko i telewizor.
Godt central beliggende hotel
Hotel was okay due to price, but breakfirst could use a little variation.
Hotel is in a residential area but super close to a great park and loads of good places to eat at reasonable cost.would recommend the soul kitchen great food.A slice of real greek culture.Alittle on the shabby side but great hospitality and value
