Perfect for my needs

Renovated but poor quality. Looks good from far but far from good. Hook for towel in shower barely holding. Shower head broken off, had to use rain shower- no choice. Wifi only in “living room” but sofa is bottomed out. May be a pull out bed but was very old. Didn’t sit on it. No work desk space for laptop. Overall all I needed was a clean bed to sleep and that was great.

Hot and healthy breakfast

Excellent facility. Really liked the healthy and hot breakfast options including Fredh cut fruit and juices unlike what you find in US, unhealthy and frozen options. Very clean and friendly staff. My next stay I would prefer the same place

A really beautiful hotel, right between the cool new district with great restaurants and the older part of the city. A very peaceful and pretty neighborhood but close to the main road to all the other key places in the city!

Worse NH hotel I ever stayed at!

I am beyond shocked with low quality and service this hotel provides. I stayed at multiple NH hotels in South America, Mexico and Spain and this is the absolute worse one. Cleaning of room was below any standards I ever seen with dirty cups and glasses, and dirty floor with footprints after cleaning. Staff at reception was cold, greet me once during entire stay. Worse of all was that at checkout I was charged additional 19% tax to my bill because I was paying with international debit card instead of credit card. Despite being non-Chile national with valid passport that I provided and foreign bank card as is stated in fine print of booking along with information all tax is included. Staff argued with me and I had plane to catch so I paid it but will further rise complain as it’s either incompetent staff or they are liars on booking terms conditions. Probably incompetent staff! There are much better and nicer hotels in Santiago. Avoid this one! And lastly room service is not open on Sunday , they don’t pick phone , and when order through their app it takes more than hour and they don’t read comments. Plus you can’t order any drinks as they are not there on menu! And again nobody picks the phone or read comments

Very clean and good location

Staff was not very friendly at the front desk. Room was old and bare. No art on the walls. Hotel felt dated and average. This is a 3 star hotel not 4.

Disappointing 2nd stay

Disappointing 2nd stay at the hotel. When I checked in I was told the room had been refurbished but it was not ready. Wifi was installed later that day, I had issues with the key cards and the power kept tripping. I saw they undercharged me so I pointed it out. Rather than thank me they the check-in staff seemed irritated.

Great location!

Overall, my stay at this hotel was good. I stayed at a room on the 11th floor. It was very spacious and quiet. It had a separate living room, separate large bedroom with a comfy king size bed, large bathroom and huge walk-in closet. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the gym was closed the whole week I stayed there. If I knew the gym was closed, I would have stayed somewhere else. They need to disclose that when booking and provide alternatives or compensation. Also, I ordered a burger as room service and it was not good. There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance. I would stay here again.

Great place to stay in Santiago -- first to note was the outstanding front desk staff -- they spoke English fluently they were friendly and offered great advice on local restaurants attractions and safety. You really need to be safety alert in Santiago I had direct experience with attempted pick pockets -- they stole my decoy wallet too bad for them. I would for sure recommend and stay again at this property.

This is a very nice hotel and they have a great breakfast buffet in the morning. The hotel is centrally located near embassies and a main avenue. The staff is very helpful.

It was ok , the lobby has obviously been remodeled abs is the best part of the hotel The rooms need major updating. Everywhere you look in the room needed updating . The sofa in the room was very worn out. Every wall and door has scuff marks. The fixtures were all very old. Because of this the room looked dirty

The staff was courteous and helpful. The room and areas were worn and need of more care. The photos of the facilities were misleading- they show very well maintained rooms. Which was not the case with the room that I was in.

Room are large but the condition of the accommodation is old.

the location was perfect for our purposes and the staff was in general very pleasant to work with a. The property was under construction in the lobby area and the dust control was a problem. The suit was not to the standard, laminate floor was old and deteriorated, all around needed an upgrade, bed was very nice surprise. The mini bar was not refill every day, I have to ask for it once, they did, but never did it again for the rest of the stay (10 days); las night we came late and ask to receptionist to bring us a couple of bottle water, the did, but while checking out the next morning, they charge me for them. I didn't want to argue and just paid for them (about 4 American dollars, really expensive by the way). I think that if you offer a couple of water bottles, one soda can and one bottle of beer, one chocolate bar and some chips in your room mini fridge, you should replenish them as consumed by your guest, taking in consideration that your is a long stay and you don't consume all of it every day. If I was there for just one night and empty all of it, surely they would replenish it for the next guest, right? So, why is it that my request was fulfilled when I did call for it, without any charge, but was never done again, and ultimately, was charged at the end when I asked for two bottled water? Am still trying to make sense of it.

Hotel is under renovation. Construction noise all day long . This detail wasn’t mentioned on the website at the moment of booking. The staff very helpful and professional. Central location with easy access to transportation. Looking forward to be back when renovations are completed.

No Frills Clean Hotel

It is a basic hotel, but clean and orderly. Staff will try to be helpful. It is currently under renovation. Location is awesome if you want to explore bellavista and barrio italia

Likes: very large and nice room with large bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillow. Close to metro. Internet worked well. Two TVs. Courteous and helping personnel. Free late checkout (but note that that depends on availability). Dislikes: curtains looked soiled. Some rust in the bathtub glass. Air conditioning DID NOT work well (which is a very bad point in Santiago’s hot summer).

Property is really good and the Hotel and staff are very nice. The locación however due to the October 2019 problems is not so good as it was before. Now the area is called “ground zero”. You still see lots of destruction around the area with graffiti, metal sheet protection on doors and windows, etc

It is being reapired and it was noisy and dirty

Staff was very nice and professional. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom was leaking and my room door does not close easily. It looks like someone busted the door and fixed it half way.

This hotel NH Santiago, is terrible dirt, old furniture, and many things but the photo that Expedia puts on your page does not correspond to the room offered by this talk to the general manager. Expedia did not notify to inform you that it would be changing the date and they will charge one more night Very bad experience the hotel and the service of Expedia

Location is great, i was actually able to walk from the hotel to downtown and main attractions in the area and walked back to the hotel, all about 15km very nice!

The service at front desk is terrible, Mr Yergo Villegas is the person in charge to make miserable my staying. I asked for help several times and he didn't pay attention to my request including bottled water to my room and hot water for my shower. In general the services are terrible, the restaurant offers a menu but they said they have very limited options and only diet sodas. The walls in the room and in general are dirty and the staff is not well trained to attend the guests. Certainly I would never stay again or recommend this property.

Close to the Salvador subway station. Nice-looking facility, but rooms that have not yet been reconditioned are rather worn-looking - and small. Very good bed, with a lightweight covering. Only a single chair in a 2-room suite. Included breakfast was adequate. Glass of wine at the bar was pricy

Great hotel, bathroom needs re-do.

The staff at the hotel was wonderful, very helpful. The room was comfortable. The location was great. The only issue was the bathroom. There was mold in the shower, tile not clean, hard to get hot water and it was definitely in need of an update. If that bothers someone, they probably wouldn't want to stay here. Otherwise, good experience.

For the price it was good value,not the most central of location though manageable. Hopefully it will get a renovation soon.

Good place to stay downtown

It was our first stop of our honeymoon and the hotel left us a nice surprise desert and wine when we arrived in our room. Location is good as it is close to lots of major tourist attractions, a safe area too.

I am familiar w NH from Spain. Their properties in that country are in general much better condition. This particular one is probably a 50+ year old building.. floors creaky, doors hang loose, bathtub with visible, ugly repairs, etc. In short a bit of disappointment

Great hotel for Bella vista

Great location

There was construction noise in the room coming from their upper floors. They stop only after repeated complaining phone calls from our part. Reception was more interested in explaining reasons for noise, than in solving the fact that they should note rent a room with construction noise. Idea is to rest and sleep in a hotel room. Finally, it was solved.

Good stay. Pleasant entrance, nice and clean welcoming lobby, front desk...but missing the grandiosity I've seen in other NH hotels. Amazing staff, some of them with perfect English, which sometimes can be challenging for visitors who do not know Spanish. We were lucky to have Americo at the front desk few days in a row, and that made our stay special. He helped us with directions, advised us on transportation, attractions, restaurants, always smiling and offering to help...big thank you from us!!! I have heard similar comments from other compatriots, they were speaking very highly of him. The rooms and furniture, especially the sofa and even doors and wall can use some love/updates, or at least some attention and cleaning. Cleanliness of the room was no concern, bedding a delight, crisp and bright white, very pleasant. The pillows are a different story, though...not the most comfortable, the say the least.

Perfect location, the entrance, lobby area pleasant, without the majestic appearance of similar NH hotels, the front desk staff very nice. The rooms, furniture, especially the sofa, even the walls and doors can use a bit of love and an upgrade. Cleanliness was not a concern.

This hotel is perfectly located away from the hustle and bustle of the city center but close enough that you can go for a half an hour walk and find all that you want to see. it is a 10 minute walk from the Buena Vista neighborhood, which has a ton of restaurants and houses the entrance to the cerro san cristobal. They’re also local restaurants very close, right next to the Santander bank, which is very convenient. The staff was very nice and friendly, excellent service at the bar and at breakfast, Enjoyed a very good and full service breakfast. The room was very comfortable, clean, and had a spacious bathroom and separate walkin closet . The only thing I was not happy about with the gym as it is very small with only three or four cardio machines ( two or three treadmills and one or two ellipticals, that was it) and no weights other than the dumbells. It is too bad because they have a very large basement where the gym is, which seems like a waste of space if they’re not using it for machines. In all it was a wonderful experience.

Hotel location is great, even if it’s some 15-minute walk from downtown and Bellavista area. It is in a quiet neighbourhood, away from the noise of city’s hustle and bustle. Do not expect luxury or refined details – this is above all a practical hotel for space, location and price. Breakfast is standard but good. Staff friendliness is ok. For the price we paid (discounted at about 70 USD per night), this is a great deal to get suite with a bedroom, a living room area, and a bathroom – all very spacious and clean.I think it should be a 3-star hotel instead of 4 stars, but I would still recommend it.

Room was very hot. No air conditioning for 2 nights then it was not great. Tried to change to cooler room with larger size fridge but they would not move me.

It is a good and clean and very cold business hotel with no staff able to speak English.

Great stay at NH Ciudad Hotel Santiago

Great Hotel Old property but very good area to live and rooms are good.

NH ciudad Santiago is very well located, in a walkable area and near the best areas in Santiago, located in Providencia, it is very near Las Condes and in walking distance to vibrant Bellavista neighborhood, which is where most restaurants and bars are located. Our room had air conditioning issues and it took a couple of days before the staff solved the problem. The room was also missing window blinds in the living room and though we were told they were being replaced, they never were. Parking is available but in very short supply. Though it is free, sometimes if arriving late it is hard to find parking. Front desk staff was friendly but not very knowledgeable about dining options in the area or recommendations. Overall, good location, clean rooms, free parking (when available), great size rooms. Some upgrades needed and better staff training.

Hotel in ruins!

Very poor experience. My "renovated suite" room was all patched up on every wall. The bathroom really undesirable. A pitty an NH Hotel suite looks like this. Then, my colleague smelled burnt, called the reception, they said someone would check it the next morning. After that, two outlets in the room exploded! We had to leave the hotel and move to another. DO NOT STAY HERE unless they tear it down and build it again.

Overnight

Very clean hotel & huge great room suite but the bar closes at 10.30 pm which seemed odd for a large city hotel? And after a14 hour flight a small beer would have gone down a treat - they couldn’t even provide one on room service? Maybe something to do with local licensing perhaps. Shame.

OK Hotel

It's a relatively good hotel but needs refurbishing, mainly in the central ventilation system, as it leaks cold air even when the system is off. That is a big problem for someone who cannot be under A/C for a long time, due to allergies, etc. Service was very good and friendly. The location is not as attractive as there are no good number of restaurants that you can walk to, just a couple and not attractive. It has a favorable distance from downtown and close to the subway but may need to get a taxi. If staying for business, then it's a good choice as it fits the budget and relatively easy to reach from/to main airport. Not sure if I'd stay there agin, though, due to the A/C problem, unless in a different room (I was on the first floor) and if refurbished. Coincidentally, I'm in the A/C industry and a customer was scheduled to be at the hotel to negotiate maintenance with the administration and maybe the A/C problem will be solved.

Well located near Patio Belavista, good breakfast and spacious room. Check in took longer than expected because they did not find my reservarion, at the end it was sorted out.

Good location. Large room. Bar service a little slow. Pool was unavailble for two weeks due to maintenance. Airport transfer very affordable.

Terrible

We had unpleasant experience. Staff was very rude and lack good communication. Few staff members could only speak English. My daughter has to fight very day for little bit of fresh milk for our room coffee machine. NH hotels are big hotel chain but they really needs to concentrate on staff training and customer service.

Good value especially for the price

The location is great. Unfortunately, first night we got bad directions and didn't locate the Bella Vista area until day two. That neighborhood is fantastic. Great dining and shopping area. Or hang out and have Pico sours! Bed was too hard for my liking and not much water pressure in shower. But price and cleanliness were very good. I would stay there again.

Good value

Had a most enjoyable stay, staff were obliging and provided quality service. Beds were comfortable but flushing mechanism in toilet kept falling apart. Nice surrounding area but could not find a restaurant or cafe open on Sunday night.

The hotel is located in a good location. It is a simple hotel but has everything needed. There was some construction work going on from 8am all day, even in the afternoon and it was hard to get any rest. We did inform the manager and it was dealt with.

People at hotel was not able to support me when I left one accessory of my phone after I did my check out. Also they were so rude.

They are not reliable

I paid before my arrive, when i got there to check in, it was around 9.00 pm, they said it was over sold. And send they send me to another place verh bad location, small room, busy avenue, bad area. I use to stay in nh but i will really think if i will stay again

Decent hotel at a decent price.

Although the bedrooms are looking a little worn out, they are large and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is good and the staff is nice and helpful.

Old and ugly

i arrived at the hotel at 4:00 they treated me like i was out of my mind for asking for the room. They wanted to charge me another night on top of the regular payment. The hotel is run down, ugly, the toilet did not work, the towels were old, the room large but depressing... I moved to another hotel the next morning...

Nice hotel close to the center of the city

There are two separate bedroom and living room. Two TV's and sofas and a walk-in closet etc. Unfortunately, there is no coffee or free water offered in 409 or 509. The WiFi is good.

Bland

Bland hotel. No extras. No warmth. Not even tea and coffee in the room which is shocking given the price you have to pay.
