Nothing wrong but the hotel is dated and has halls with fire doors and stairs throughout which made it feel maze-like. Parking lot was tiny, maybe 10 spots.
We had a wonderful stay at Nevis BankHotel. Can’t say enough good things, especially about the staff
Served the purpose for a good night's sleep
Excellent facilities, friendly staff and good food 👌
Excellent all round. Superb top class quality in every aspect. Ten out of ten. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would definitely stay here again.
Nice hotel and great staff. A little walk to downtown but easily doable and parts pleasant. Close to Cow Hill Trail which is a great hike with great views from summit. Showers - like almost everywhere else in Scotland leave something to be desired. But, all in all a good choice
A bit dated and over priced. Lovely night porter who helped me out immensely. Evening meal was terrible and I was starving so you’d think I’d have enjoyed anything but that was cooked by a real try hard with little skills unfortunately. Also overpriced.
I liked the location, but the staff did not provide the best service, either at meals or the front desk, the staff was not very helpful.
Enjoyed our Stay
Large room. Great food. We enjoyed everything about this place!
Nice for an overnight stay
Easy peasy check-in and lovely big room. Did not use restaurant or have breakfast. Friendly staff
An ok hotel
It was an ok stay, but I wouldn’t visit again…
Spent one night here last month on way back from the Isle of Skye. Main small car park on hotel property was full but there is an overflow lot across the busy road. Nice clean room, very friendly staff, no lifts in hotel. Easy walk into the center of town. Dinner was excellent with great choices. Unfortunately, because of rain next morning, couldn’t do any hiking or ride the gondola as planned. Had hot fresh made breakfast before checking out at 10 am Would recommend this hotel for your next trip to Fort William as it is the gateway to the Scottish Highlands..
Very nice hotel. Restaurant is very nice. The double double room was very large.
A great place to stay at Fort William. The room has all the necessary amenities and is comfortable. The food at the restaurant is amazing. I recommend dining there for breakfast and dinner. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Would definitely recommend having breakfast at the hotel.
Lots of space
It was nice to be able to spread out after the train ride. This is close to the train station and not too far from the cafes and pubs!
Nevis Bank Hotel was fabulous
Great hotel!
The staff is friendly and helpful. Beds are reasonable, but the room was hot. Make reservations for the dining room, and do not be in a rush. Overall stay was a good experience.
We had a nice stay at this hotel.
Staff were very helpful
Nice hotel and space Pull out bed was very soft and bent in the middle. Difficult for two people to share this soft and small bed.
Rooms were very large.
The hotel was acceptable for our needs. Things were very clean, quiet.
Friendly staff, easy check in, spacious room. Only issue was a very high step into the shower without any safety bars. Hard for my elderly parent to manage.
.
Very friendly and helpful staff, super expensive for such dated rooms. Beds comfortable. Nice tea and coffee provided.
Hand rails on staircases and grab handles in the bathroom , particularly over the bath required for the less able patrons.
No elevators in the property. Be ready for picking up your heavy suitcases if you got them across 6-7 doorways and stairs leading to your room. Apart from that it is a great hotel, clean and comfortable.
Very noisy air conditioner made it difficult to sleep through the night. Otherwise fine.
Excellent hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Very good restaurant.
Great property!
😁
No fridge in room or elevator. Staff were friendly and helpful
Comfortable and charming
Small charming hotel. Comfortable bed, very clean.
Sofa bed was old and small, the room was not suitable for 4 adults. Odd smell, dark, dirty dishes left behind and water damage in the bathroom.
Pleasant, no-frill hotel on the main road
Quick, friendly check-in. Helpful receptionist. The restaurant was also excellent. The only thing to be aware of is that there is no lift/elevator.
Nice location. Bathroom had mould round the tiles in places and we had two single beds for a couple. Wouldn't say it was a 4 star for what we were charged but staff were very friendly and helpful.
Good area not far from town centre, train station and west Highland way. Hotel was nice, clean and had a good restaurant. Water pressure let it down as the water would have been cold by the time the water level was sufficient. Squeaky floorboards. Any movement in corridors or adjacent rooms was very noticeable.
Tiny room. Expensive for off season $240 us pet night difficult to get luggage in the room due to size of room
None
The staff was above and beyond gracious and helpful. Best ever!
Great hotel - road can be noisy though
great all round - will make this a main stopover point from now on
Clean, friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed and good shower
Fort William
Was a nice hotel to stay at for our days we were in Fort William. Convenient location, the hike up cow hill was right behind the hotel. On-site restaurant had delicious ice cream!
A nice spot
Lovely spot, comfortable and clean stay.
The hotel offers very few facilities other than rhe main and relatively expensiveimited menu. I could not park at the hotel but was directed to an unkept (glass and screws on ground) and unlit car parked across the road. Room was very clean but my sleep was interrupted by the ac unit located directly abovr the headboard.
Situated within a 10 minute drive to Ben Navis this is a convenient for those looking to hike the mountain or shop in the nearby town. The duvets were very warm (too warm after some time) and the room was spacious and clean. The price was £90 per person approx for one night. Recommend if staying in the area.
Loved that it was closer to Ben Nevis.
Nice
A lovely weekend in Fort William
We had a quick overnight trip to Fort William for a family birthday, and based upon reviews chose the Nevis Bank Inn. It was the right choice. Clean, well managed and convenient to everything in Fort William. The restaurant is excellent its' staff are polite and attentive. I would only suggest that if you have an elderly person with you that you request a lower level room as the stairs can be an issue for someone with mobility challenges.
The food and service was really great! The location of the hotel was not as close to town as expected. Very clean
The room was small, warm and cozy. The towels were large and fluffy. The breakfast in the morning was quite good!
The young man on reception when we arrived was lovely and chatty and showed us personally to our room in the annex which was lovely and spacious. The bed, duvet and pillows were the most sumptuous marshmallowy softness that we’ve had for a long time. Made for a really good nights sleep. Thanks
Air-conditioned rooms, windows that open, bathtub and shower combination
The staff are very friendly to help when we have a lot of luggage and we need to stay at the 3/F without escalator.
The journey to our 3rd floor room was challenging. Up and down multiple flights of stairs, through doorways and a maze of hallways with suitcases. Had we known this in advance we probably would not have booked here. However, the room was nice, clean, although a little dated. The staff were great!
Modern rooms & friendly staff
Very friendly staff; great dining experience & the hotel had all the amenities!
Nice place for a one night stay
Not a 4 star property
Clean and spacious room, great bedding, and good restaurant for breakfast and dinner!! Loved they gave us shortbread cookies in the room with our tea and coffee!! Great stop to enjoy the Jacobite steam train!!
Lots of stairs to navigate. If you’re planning to eat at the restaurant book ahead.
The rooms were nice and the air conditioning was great. The only drawback is there is no elevator and you have to haul your luggage up stairs. If this place had an elevator it would be perfect. Breakfast was great and staff is very friendly.
I had a two night reservation through Expedia. I don’t know who made the mistake but their records state that I only had one night and it’s Expedia mistake. Fine print of not guaranteeing a room. So, I was asked to leave. I honestly think it’s bad management to send away an already staying customer than arrange accommodations to new customer. The hotel manager was very apologetic and took care of taxi cost to our new hotel Clan MacDuff. Happy to say that this hotel was 100 times better. What a magnificent view of the mountains and Loch Linnhe from our room window, hotel lounge and restaurant. We decided to stay have drinks and dine in. Nevertheless, the anger and disappointment to whoever made this mistake was unavoidable we took great advantage of this gorgeous new place!
Great stay and friendly staff as always.
Small hotel in the middle of Fort William. Great restaurant "Browns" was excellent. Helpful, friendly staff.
The room we had was small but the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The walls are thin so if the person next door is loud you will hear it like we did. The bathroom looked very new although the shower was a bit awkward and a high step out of the tub.
Average Stay
If you have more than two people, it was hard to find something comfortable for the third person. The pull-our bed was awful. The place is convenient to many things & it’s not a bad little hotel. I would not recommend the restaurant, though. I would recommend eating elsewhere.
Great location and sizable room. Breakfast is also worth getting if you stay here.
Great staff from reception to bar waiters/waitresses
The restaurant in the hotel is very nice but be sure to make dinner reservations or you might not get in on the same day.
Made our arrival easy. Very friendly staff.
Standard inn near the downtown area of Ft William. Good price for the location, rooms were plain but clean and what we needed for a short night.
Great food and location
Loved Brown's Restaurant and had a fantastic chicken supreme with a smoky leek sauce. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We were able to leave the motorbike under cover by our room and it was an easy 10 minute walk down to the station. Good location.
Staff were very friendly.
Lovely hotel, excellent food, friendly staff
great location. most of the parking was across a major street. NO lift, ALOT of stairs and Fire Doors to get to/from room. Not easy to get around. NO view from room.
A very comfortable hotel with a very warm welcome and friendly and helpful staff. A very good location
Updated room with good facilities. Close to town for dining options within walking range.
Lovely staff, clean, nice products in bathroom. Unfortunately no lifts so heavy bags need to be carried up the stairs
Updated fixtures, rooms were spacious and comfortable. A bit of a maze to get to room but not confusing
Nice rooms , lovely big bath ,the water is steaming hot ,great after a days hike . Breakfast is lovely ,dinner is quite expensive, . Staff are fantastic . Place itself is lovely ,no bar area ,which little disappointing. Bar is actually the restaurant. Good 15 mins walk to town centre . Nothing really around hotel a round about and a main rd .
The property was located conveniently and was clean and friendly. Food and beverage onsite was wonderful. Parking was lean, but available, with offsite additional parking available. Luggage needed to be carried up stairs to rooms, which was tough for those with heavy baggage.
Clean and cozy. The room is spacious and in good condition. Quality amenities.
great staff, food and location. the access to the room is inconvenient. room cleanness is below expectation.
The staff were so helpful and accommodating from arranging an early start breakfast to helping me when I broke my arm (out on the hills not at the inn!). Always lots of warmth & hot water too!! Dietary requirements were catered for easily with gluten free / dairy free etc options - all part of the service which meant it was stress free for me. Highly recommended for a very comfortable stay and base in Fort William.
Comfortable room. Stayed for two nights, close to town. Able to walk to. Staff friendly. Enjoyed our stay.
Great! Only issue was that we had travelled with a four month old and 5 year old and all the accompanying luggage. Property had no lift and we were placed at the rear of the property with several flights of stairs to negotiate. Annoying, but everything else great!
Excellent service, very friendly, location is terrific. Walking distance to small but lovely shopping area. Highly recommend.
The hotel was centrally located and room was spacious and clean. The staff were extremely nice, friendly and helpful. Without the receptionist’s advice in the morning that we left, we would had missed the highlight of our trip!! Thank you so much - we gave the cable cars a miss due to the gloomy weather and went to Glenfinnan Viaduct as you suggested, breathtaking views!!
Great Hotel with great staff
Very last minute booking and very happy with our find. Very friendly staff helped
Excellent set up
Grey stay. Friendly staff. Great location.
Great hotel
Lovely clean, comfortable hotel. Easy checkin. Excellent restaurant. Highly recommend.
Staff was great. I was told we had a quiet room at the back but we were given a room right at the front that everyone walked past. So loud, we barely slept. The room itself was nice but the hotel is right on the main road so it is loud. It does not match the online description.
Absolutely loved this hotel it was very nice, clean and great staff!!
The person behind the desk at check in was rude and unhelpful. Too much attitude
Very clean but the rooms were small. Just enough to move around the bed. There were a lot of stairs. Nice for the price.
Good hotel. Spacious room accessed by stairs (no lifts) although assistance is offered with luggage. Food in hotel restaurant is excellent.
