Rude staff, horribly unclean room, check in took 45 minutes because no one was there for 20 then they couldn’t find my reservation for another 25. Bullet holes in the wall, building is falling apart. Bathroom was disgusting and the whole place smelled like cigarettes. No sheets just a comforter than probably isn’t washed. Absolutely horrible.

First of all no parking,,,,rooms have no heat and who in their right mind would be sharing a bathroom in a motel we're homeless people usually are the next one clients

This place was filthy. Floor was sticky, doorknob was slimy. Shared bathroom didn't have soap and the shower curtain was dingy and held on by rusty curtain holders. Everything smelled bad. The doors had physical metal keys and the locks seemed easily jimmied. We did not feel safe in this hotel and didn't even stay the night. Do NOT stay here.

Location was great but just about everything else was not

I would not recommend this hotel. We woke up to mice in the room!

It was very dirty and gross, there were mice in my room and it had a very bad odor. DON’T RECOMMEND IT AT ALL.

They didn't receive me at the hotel, they said it was full and they didn't respect the reservation.

I don't understand why expedia lists this hotel when it's such a terrible hotel. Even so, New York is crazy about the hotel industry, and I hate New York!

Rooms & hallways were tiny, had one bathroom for each floor (not mentioned in booking), heat didn't work in room. When we told front desk, their response was "well look how you're dressed. Put on a coat" charged us a $20 cash deposit to get key (not mentioned in booking). Entire building looking like it hadn't been cleaned ever.

It was definitely the worst experience I've ever had in a place to stay. I am usually the person who doesn't care at all where to sleep, but this place I just couldn't. It was dirty and stinks the whole place. Our room had electrical wires all around, the fire detector was broken (so people could smoke in the room), it smells like smoke everywhere, the carpet has never been clean in year, there was infiltration bubbles on the wall, the bed smelled so bad, the one mirror on the room was broken and exposed, there was an attick entrance inside the room (we don't know if was still an entrance), the door barely locked, you could clearly hear people talking on the other rooms. The pictures on the website are completely different from what I've seen while I was there, and I captured everything on camera to have proof. If you can, do not stay here ever. Even if you don't care for a super clean place. This place is over limits. We didn't even stayed. We went into the room, almost threw up with the smell, sat for a minute, got our stuff and left. It was impossible to be there.

Description and photos not accurate

Terrible hotel. I entered late at night and the front door was open with no security at all. There was someone in the street outside injecting themselves with drugs. When I was trying to check-in, the person came in asking to use a toilet in the hotel. The hotel then allowed that person to use a toilet which is one made available for guests in the hotel who don't have en suite rooms. The hotel refused to accept any card payments and demanded cash upon check-in. The reception area was filthy and furniture there was falling apart. I could not have stayed in this place even if they were paying me to be there. The reception person was completely unhelpful and only interested in watching sport on his phone. I left as soon as I was able to. I suggest you completely avoid this hotel. This is not an experience I expected to find on Hotels.com and It was a very distressing experience to have to find somewhere at the last minute late at night instead of staying here.

They didn’t let us check in . You can hear people having sex from the lobby . The building looks like a old abandon junkie halfway house . There’s no window and gate down all around the hotel . There’s no elevator Jus dusty stairs and rugs . They don’t even accept debit cards or credit cards or any cards in that matter . They have shared bathrooms during a pandemic and over charge you

Somebody got shot before we got there outside. This hotel looks like where prostitution is active, and ppl go to do drugs. It is THE FILTHIEST “HOTEL” I have ever seen. The pictures are THE FURTHEST FROM ACCURATE. We did not even stay.

Well the room I needed was in close proximity of a train, the noise was so loud I could barely sleep. The Ac doesn’t work, it doesn’t kick out cold air only warm.

The mattress didn’t look clean and the bed not comfortable

This property is a converted townhouse. Very depressing inside, absolutely filthy with no heating. Check-in and check-out was easy though.

Mattress is OLD. I asked for an extra blanket so that I wouldn't feel the springs in my back.

I should not have been as disappointed as I was initially. You get what you pay for. But the beds are TERRIBLY uncomfortable. That is the worst thing about this hotel - that, and the fact that you can hear everything in every room.

It bad hotel with poor facilities

This property was horrible. The beds were covered in plastic and the mattress was soo uncomfortable and made so much noise. The place smelled and the shared bathrooms were dirty and disgusting. I left after an hour or so after check in.

I am highly disappointed with Neptune hotel. Very Stufy room with cockroaches and very old bed and bedsheets. Cracked sink in my room and very uncomfortable experience.

Staff was rude , you have to share a bathroom with everyone in the building .

I would rather sleep at the subway or airport the next time if this place is the only one left in town to check in. Very rough and dirty . Who calls this a hotel??? Sorry to mention but the place looks like a place for the homeless people. Nasty and disgusting carpet. Ceiling paint almost falling off . The whole third floor smelled weed . Very noisy. Bed is worse than sleeping on a carpet floor. I have no idea who issues licenses for such places to be run as a hotel

Staff was attentive and nice when I showed up close to 2am. The place is pretty old and has seen better days, but if you're backpacking and looking for a spot to sleep it's decent. It was a good size room for NY and the air conditioning was amazing.

The cost is really fair for the place. Not a palace. It is exacly the kind of place I was looking for. A bed to sleep.

roaches and bed bugs. i slept in my clothes and kept my bags elevated as soon as i came back home i undressed at the door outside and washed EVERYTHING in hot water. have the bite marks to prove it did not get under the sheets which had multiple cigarette burns. on the corner of an overhead train ...aka NO SLEEP no PEACE nasty place. only stayed because i couldnt ask for a refund

Please do not send anyone at that place because it makes you look bad, as if you are falsifying information. That place should not be up for business. It is stink and scary looking. It is nothing like what was advertised. No parking no where. My husband and I had to cancel when we got there and was stranded trying to find a hotel. Thay kept a full night's pay of our money. I am now sceptical to book with hotel.com.

Not an ideal place for a family stay. Over night as a male maybe OK I'd you cannot do any better. Can not get use to central bathroom where you share two bathrooms per floor.

The room was ok but the area is not great. Its a shared bathroom needs upgrading. The carpets need upgrading but it was clean. The check in service was quick

Brooklyn hotel for 1 night

21 uphill steps to get to the receptionist....narrow staircase also. Never did find the ‘shower room..” Air conditioning and having a sink in the room was NICE. :)

Revolting

Genuinely do not stay at this “hotel.” I was looking for a cheap option and it’s not even worth what you pay. Read the reviews and believe them. Rooms smell like piss and weed and the covers of the bed had smoke burn holes in them . Customer service is literally non existent and you will feel like your trapped in a prison cell rather than hotel room. I felt so unsafe during my ONE night stay that I could not wait to leave the next day. The noise is another massive down fall but nothing compared to the character of this joint. Also there is a sink in the room which has clearly been used as a toilet numerous times as it stinks of piss. Don’t even no if the sheets and pillows were clean I was reluctant to lie down on the bed. Do yourself a favour don’t go here. Stay in a hostel or anywhere else you will thank yourself later, if not good luck to you.

Wish they would have told us before that this place had shared restrooms/ bathrooms. And just a heads up check out is 11 which you are not being told anywhere and when I checked out they were pissed I check out at 12 pm

Reasonable value for price, staff helpful

Reasonable value for the price. Room (206) clean but smelt of smoke (was ok after fan was on). Bathroom clean. Close to train line but train noise not excessive. Staff helpful. Wifi stable and fast. Paid for 3 nights and wanted to cancel the third which wasn't possible. 5 minutes walk from Gates Ave (J line).

Stay far away from this terrible hotel

This hotel was under serviced. The staff were alright. The hallways, restroom, hotel room were dirty and unsanitary. The photos on the walls in our room had broken glass. The comforter had burn holes on it. The mattress cover was covered in holes. There was pubic hair on the toilet seat and a large hair ball in the shower. The next morning the bathroom floor had a large puddle covering nearly the entire floor making it not possible to use that restroom without stepping in it. The surfaces and floors looked like they had not been cleaned in a long time. It was not worth the money it cost to stay there. I would argue that it was even a ripoff. Not only will I not recommend this place, I would warn people to stay away from it. It does not deserve even the 2-stars it does have. I have never stayed in a more disappointing place. Also on the outside of the hotel is a large Pro-Trump sign.

When you walk in the Jamaican Ladies who run front desk are rude , they were walking around with my ID for like 10mins they couldn’t find my reservation, they had to print papers out . Mind you I made it at 3pm showed up at 4.

It was nothing like it said. You share bathroom with other guest. It's very old so it had a muggy smell.comforter was ripped and stained. Overall I would not book or recommend it to people who want privacy or cleanliness. You can hear couples having sex in other rooms no privacy....

The smallest and nastiest place ive ever seen because as soon as i opened the door i saw roaches running and the bed was filthy. I turned right back around and booked a room in Manhattan across from the empire state building that was beautiful for the same price. The people told me they would refund my money on the phone the next morning but when i called 4 days later to see where my refund was some nasty lady answered and said we dont do refunds and hung up on me. Sorry no pics because i literally opened the door saw roaches and slammed the door right back and left at 3am.

Not in safe location😯.Worse(old) bed!could not sleep all night and too much noise from.the trains that passing by. Had bad headech the next day. Slept in my clothers, afraid of bags. Bad experience..But good customer service (allowed me to check in early).

Probably want to stay somewhere else

The staff was nice and really tried. The hotel itself is really run down. The walls were splashed with primer all over. The bathroom had no active ventilation. The ceiling for the bathroom is also open into our room. So all the moisture and smells escaped to our room. We stayed here because it was New Years Eve and was only $200. Will probably never return.

Don't believe the pictures

I could write ten pages about everything that is wrong with this place but it's simply not worth it. I'll summarize by saying that the pictures on this site DO NOT represent this hotel even remotely. I don't know how much cleaning they had to do to get those pictures but we paid for their nicest room and it was a complete dump. I'm frankly upset with hotels.com for letting this place on their site, the hotel is a complete scam. I paid $115 for one night for a room that was MAYBE worth $40. The freaking J-Train is right outside the window and you're sleeping on cardboard and the whole place looks like a crackhouse. NEVER EVER STAY HERE.

One restroom for at least 14 rooms on the floor where my room was located. The spring's in the mattress, made sleeping unbearable.

They got roaches in there rooms and there ain’t no inside bathrooms, I lift up the blanket to cover up and it’s either snots from nose or come was in the back side of that blanket the passage to get to your room is so small you have to turn side ways to walk and I’m just 165 so imagine being bigger than me, the smell from the passages irritates my souls and then after u leaves they don’t clean the room which I wasn’t expecting that. Wasn’t acceptable. It was just a turn off!!!

Hotel is close to Manhattan and it is easy to book, the the whole property do not look nice, there are two toilets shared by several rooms, no bathroom except the share one....do not feel safe in the room either...

Adequate for the money. The room was tiny. The shared bathroom was tiny. The room was clean and comfortable. Both the bill and our expectations were small so I would consider this place a pretty good deal.

This is a very old building. It is less than 50 feet from an elevated train. But it is so charming and a great price! The gentleman working the front desk was very nice and accommodating. The shared bathroom was clean. We would stay again.
