I adored my stay at Nayara Hangaroa. From the moment I arrived I was warmly welcomed with a wonderful fresh fruit welcome drink, and an introductory session where the hotel took the time to learn about what I wanted to do, suggested some immediate tours I could take, and basically set me up for a wonderful stay and experience. The dining was amazing at all times of the day. All the staff, be it at the bar, restaurant, or general concierge services were outstanding. I was hesitant at first about the prearranged tours, and what the experience would be like, but I was so glad I took advantage of the all-inclusive packaging. I am not normally the type of person that likes to take tours, but I highly recommend this approach because it allows you to relax, to be able to enjoy the island, and really helps ensure you don't miss anything. I took a few tours organized by the hotel during my stay in Rapa Nui, as well as others and I loved the experiences arranged through Nayara Hangaroa most. The tour guide during my stay was Tama, and she was incredible. We had such a warm experience, and the group sizes were really small which provided the same kind of feel as a private tour. I will be returning to Nayara Hangaroa next time I visit and highly recommend the experience, the dining and the rooms. My room was beautiful clean, extremely comfortable, and provided a wonderful night rest. Everything was extraordinary. Thank you to all the wonderful people who took care of me during the stay.

The property is pretty but not as nice as Nayara Arenal. Food and service were excellent.
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed anywhere in the world. The location right on the coast and near the town was outstanding. The restaurants were fabulous and the staff was always helpful and friendly. I would love to return to this hotel.
Place is amazing and the staff make it even better. Great service from the moment you get out of airport to the minute they drop you back off. Can’t wait to return
Very friendly staff members, convenient location, luxurious room with great views, beautifully presented meals with fresh ingredients, and interesting tours.
Amazing experience, fantastic staff
It was very comfortable to stay at this resort in Rapa Nui. The rooms are comfortable and quirky, but the real value is in the amenities. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They will help you with all of your arrangements from rental car to excursions. The breakfast was included in our booking and was a great variety, including custom omelets. You need to have your expectations in the right place. This is an extremely isolated island -- one of the most remote places in the world -- so obtaining building supplies and such is a challenge, so most places are behind on maintenance when compared to other locations around the globe. Just accept this as part of the experience or this is not the right destination for you.
Everything
The best!!
Beautiful landscape and good location!
Very nice
Location is the best in front of sea view and beautifully designed landscape is very impressive. But the room wasn't convenient especially bathroom shower . Very roomy but not efficient . Staffs are wonderful!!
Was worth the price for a once in a lifetime experience. I specifically want to call out Ignacio for his outstanding service and kindness.
What else can I say, but simply amazing!!! This hotel and staff are stellar! Ignacio, Sergio and the rest of the team were so kind, helpful, and friendly. My boyfriend and I got engaged while on vacation there and they celebrated and congratulated us with chocolates and a bottle of champagne, which was just so sweet and kind. Any time we had questions, they were able to help, they helped us plan a show and get a tattoo appointment and even tried to help us extend our stay with airlines, they were just the best. My only real disappointment was that there was no available jacuzzi as we visited in cooler weather; it would have been really nice to enjoy that. They did have hydrotherapy available for a fee at the spa, but for a 5 star resort, I kind of expected a jacuzzi. Lastly, the spa was really nice, we did take advantage of the hydrotherapy/sauna special they had which came with a glass of sparkling wine. It was so nice to relax and treat our bodies after so much walking. We also scheduled massages and a mini facial, and while the staff was amazing, my deep tissue, was not a deep tissue massage, and my facial was not a facial - I essentially was given a face massage, which wasn't bad, but when you're expecting a facial - it throws you off lol. All that said, I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat and hope to do so! The food at every restaurant was great and their sunset cocktail and snack were not to be missed. Highly recommend a stay here!
My husband and I recently stayed at Nayara Hangaroa for our honeymoon. It was absolutely wonderful. The staff were so attentive and made logistics so easy for us. We appreciated everything that they did and hope to go back one day!!
This hotel is the nicest on the island and a great place to both explore and relax. The staff assist with organizing tours when you arrive, so there’s no need to organize tours beforehand. The accommodations are great, especially when considering how remote you are, and the food is solid with multiple dining options onsite. The included hotel transfer was seamless, and it’s easy to walk to both the center of town and along the coast. A special shout-out to Josephina, the guest relations manager, for checking in daily and to the individual who helps organize tours! I’d happily stay here again
Fabulous hotel & staff on a wonderful island. We were even upgraded as we were celebrating a wedding anniversary. Tours and guides provided by the hotel team were brilliant. Spa excellent. All round 5 star.
A paradise on earth. An excellent and beautiful hotel with a so good service, the best I have ever seen. The staff was so motivated, kind and professional. Excellent rooms, and wonderful food at the restaurant. An example of excellency.
I loved the excellent service from the entire staff. Made you feel at home. Every need was tended to. I would stay there again and again.
The hotel setting, attention, rooms, sunset, all are fabulous.
Great people took great care of us.
This place was amazing. My wife and I had a great trip in the off-season. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We were given recommendations of places to eat and things to do. They did a great job setting up tours for us. Just an amazing stay. My wife is already planning on having us go back in a few years.
Caring staff, excellent food and great location despite the protest signs.
I loved the location of the hotel, so close to the ocean. In the morning I could hear the Pacific Ocean. The staff is incredible, very willing to help with anything. The food at all meals is fantastic. The rooms are nice but do need some revamping. Overall I feel that this the hotel to choose if you are going to Rapa Nui.
Nice setting, friendly people. Locations right in front of the water.
All staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Best massage I have ever had
There was a lot of people to check in so that took some time. Breakfast was ok but the scrambled eggs and omelets were undercooked. The daily sunset cocktail was a great idea. It was a pity too see the flags and protest signs as it did interrupt the sunset and if I knew of the conflict I may have looked for a different place to stay. I did love the rooms and the bath was fantastic
Couldn’t wait to leave, but that’s just me
For the price, there was practically no service. Not sure why they call themselves an “eco” village. No vegetarian options. The hotel was surrounded by protest signs and flags.
The staff was outstanding and they were willing to help with any request. Excellent grounds and close to the main streets. It was an incredible experience.
Property has nice design. The staff is not very friendly and the pool and rooms could be cleaner. The pool had dirt and algae and my feet were dirty from walking on the concrete floors of the room. It is too expensive for the quality. The restaurant service was irregular. If the manager was there the quality greatly decreased, especially when he was waiting on a VIP. I would have preferred to stay at a less costly and more inviting hotel.
I did not like the layout of the room. The tub was open to the room which would make things awkward for certain room sharing scenarios. The rooms were also small. Additionally, this is a controversial hotel, with claims by the locals that the government seized the land so foreign investors could build the hotel. There are protest signs blocking the beach alerting hotel guests to this claim. Still, from what I saw on the island during my five day stay, this is by far the nicest accommodations in all of Easter Island.
Good location to town and airport. Food was good, staff was heloful
Excellent hotel grounds, but staff is unprofessional for a five star $1000/night stay. The restaurant waiter/waitresses take their time to bring menus, take order, one time we waited 30 min to get a menu and left to go find food elsewhere. The front desk said they would bring our luggage upon check in and 1 hour later the luggage was still sitting at the desk and I brought it to the room myself. The customer service is terrible, possible b cause of high season and them not knowing how to manage high volume. Def not 5 star not 4 star hotel service. Extremely overpriced for what you get. Food at the restaurant okay but same menu with a hand full of options. Would not rec all inclusive option.
Easter Island
Hotel is nicely laid out with excellent rooms. Very comfortable. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Hotel located near main town which is walkable. On premise restaurant is very good. Daily excursions or quad rentals make for easy way to see and understand the moia.
Hangaroa Eco Village & Spa. Very much worth it.
Missed a connecting flight and the staff really helped me make the most of my shortened stay. I recommend taking a morning and an afternoon tour every day, though there are other tour operators on the island that I am sure also do a great job. The tours take you to a place where you hike, so where comfortable shoes. The pace of wandering around was never too much for even our oldest tour-mate. At the hotel, a free sunset cocktail every night is always a bit of a surprise: It's creative outlet for the bar staff, I imagine. The dinner restaurant has a rather short menu, so you may want to plan some meals off campus. The lack of TV was a delight. The lack of a coffee maker, not so much, but many hotels in Chile don't have coffee makers. Just be aware. WiFi is not super fast, but enough to do a not-too-grainy skype with the children back home, which honestly was much better than I would have expected considering the distance to land! I would definitely stay here again. Good job to all.
Close to the airport
Check in time is 4pm and the room can be ready not before 3 pm. No suggest to choose this hotel if your flight arrives in the very morning (especially after you have a long flight).
Top hotel in Easter Island
Great hotel with unbeatable location and service for Easter Island. Staff very friendly and accessible. May occasionally take a few tries to get service (eg extra towels) but this seems to be true across the whole island.
nice location and cute room. everything was clean and comfortable.
Great Experience start to finish
Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are large and modern with a rustic traditional flare. We had sliding glass doors to get to the patio in front of the ocean! Rapa Nui is a fantastic place to visit and this really is the best hotel to stay in. They offer free airport pick up and drop off and we were greeted with a flowers and a smile. The staff is friendly, courteous and English speaking. The breakfast was great and while we were checking out a Humpback Whale jumped out of the water just in front of the hotel window. Its close enough to walk into town and far enough out to enjoy the quiet. I fully recommend the hotel.
The room was humid, but others are good. Breakfast was so nice.
Proximity to 'town', comfortable bathing facilities, good hearty breakfast, spa services
Great room. Good location. Staff very helpful. Grounds overgrown, weeds everywhere, etc. Pricing for food, tours, rentals, etc very expensive!
Overnight stay but great property.
Excellent service.
Hangaroa Easter Island
we had a fun stay at Hangaroa. Location is convenient we walked to the town. Our room was clean.
Overall experience was good.Grounds could use some maintenance. Unfortunately they had a fuel shortage and closed one restaurant and served only buffet style in the large restaurant so we ate lunch and dinner elsewhere.
Great hotel. Must be the best on the island.
This hotel is easily accessible, the staff pleasant and helpful, the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable and the food is excellent. A great place to stay on this extraordinary island.
A wonderful hotel in a wonderful island
The hotel is situated on the coast, near to a most beautiful lake in a volcanic crater. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. If you want to watch TV, the hotel is not for your choice, but I think you will not miss television programs during your stay in the island. Good restaurants, but they are not continously open during the day. Staff members are really kind and helpful. Excellent massage.
No ocean view
This hotel is OK but there was no ocean view in our room, as advertised. We paid maximum fees for the all-inclusive Hanga Roa experience, so you can understand our deception. Check-in was a bit disorganized. The tours by Mahinatours were lead by a very knowledgeable professional, Nicolas, which made up for the overall experience.
Great hotel and staff Unfortunately there has been a protest with locals, google it The west side of the hotel is all covered by protesters flags and signs, covering the view
Large facility
2 restaurants, bar, spa, huge place, across the road from ocean with no beach plus security fenching around properly. Extremely helpful staff but tours limited to their inventory. Food excellent with limited menu, remember it's +2,000 miles from Whole Food's! Tours are mixed languages, if you have limited Spanish you will spend a lot of time listening to it. Only "bump" shortly after getting to our room (36) the a/c quit. The staff brought an in room portable unit that exhausted hot air through a make shift sliding door inset. It rendered the slider and patio inaccessible. When we called the manager said the hotel was expecting a to be full tomorrow due to tours and there was nothing he could do. Wrong answer! I proceeded to the front desk prepared for a lively discussion. Once there the tour director Juan, listened, acknowledged that it was not a viable solution and within 30 minutes we were moved to another room #18, where the air was great. Unnecessary guests hassle, but rest went well. We would recommend this hotel, but be prepared for expensive everything. Happy travels.
Lovely comfortable hotel
Did not have our reservations but after a rocky start we had a great time and loved this hotel and its staff.
Great resort on Easter Island
An amazing resort close to the town, next to the sea. Good restaurant, bar, pool, gym, assistance with tours. The staff, mostly in the restaurants and especially at breakfast is a mixed bag, some very friendly and professional people, but unfortunately also some impolite and lazy ones.
The place is very up-scale but casual just like the whole island. It would not hurt having it closer to "downtown" as the 15-min walk to another restaurant down a narrow road with no sidewalk gets tiring after a while. The pool is excellent and so is the service.
