Great location

Great location, great service at reception and restaurant, nice spa area, nice rooftop, comfortable room but austere and cramped. Air condition is excellent and the large double vanity is great. Overall a good experience. Breakfast was good.

We had a great 2 night stay in one of the jacuzzi rooms. The small and stylish roof top pool is perfect to get some sun with great views over the town. The staff are all lovely and Sofia in the restaurant is wonderful. There was a great choice for breakfast with eggs to order and a glass of cava or two included. Splendid.

Think Ibis hotel at a train station. Clean and accommodating but that's about it. Anything above 150$ would be vastly overpriced. They have a strange thing of letting you book without paying but then they constantly send emails with request for payment and threats that you are risking a "no show". Either charge at booking time on Expedia or at the hotel.

Great service and great location. The room was spacious, very clean. The pool was full and it could be nicer area. The dinning room has an amazing view of Mallorca so stunning.

The staff is very nice and if you have time to get a massage with Angels, I highly recommend it!!!! It’s very much personalized.

We have just come home from a lovely stay at Nakar hotel for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The hotel is spotless, the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent and the room top pool is fabulous with beautiful views over the city. We even got a suprise bottle of champagne in our room to congratulate us on our anniversary. Couldn't fault it and would highly recommend. Thankyou.

Amazing hotel, great location and friendly helpful staff. The pool is nice but there are no umbrellas or shade so it’s hard to stay up there for long without burning.

Couples Weekend February 2024

Just spent an amazing long weekend at this hotel. Travelled from Ireland and stayed for 3 nights. Access from airport couldnt be easier. A1 bus from airport stops 50m away from hotel door. A short walk to all the main attractions of Palma, along either the busy shopping streets or the quiet pedestrian friendly back streets. Room was amazing. Very clean, very comfortable. Great bed. Great shower. Air conditioning perfect. Molton brown bathroom products were fabulous. Very well soundproofed, no noise at night. No problem checking in or out. Staff were so efficient and friendly and spoke perfect english (even trying to translate our irish accents), a great first impression to the hotel. Restaurant was great. We got the tasting menu and it is a feast of flavour, the highlight of our trip. Our waiter recommended it and he was so involved explaining all the different courses and what flavours we should expect. Breakfast every morning was perfect, plenty of all food and no rush. Setting is fab too with view of ocean and city panorama. Rooftop terrace with loungers and infinity pool were an oasis of calm for us. I would love to return to this hotel, we had a fantastic time and thank you to all the staff for making our stay so welcoming and perfect.

Great new hotel in great location

Great location near the cathedralthe waterfront and shopping. My room smelled like a lovely spa from the products they supply. It did have a quirky layout not not in a way that was a problem, just different. Good water free and minibar. This is my 5th visit to Palma and third hotel and I will choose it again. I dont know where people with cars park but that was not an issue for me.

Everything was excellent and service was great and so was the location and was very quiet at night. Felt a little hot in room so not sure if AC was working effectively. But that was a very very minor point.

Had to pay extra to use pool.and it didnt mention this on the hotels.com site, disappointing. pool too shallow,couldnt swim in it had to kneel. breakfast was good, friendly service.good position to get about.

Amazing stay

Absolutely fantastic stay from start to finish. Excellent location, super attentive lovely staff, nice design & spa with sauna and heated pool. Great breakfast with a sea view. Everything truly 10/10 all across a board. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.

Nakar 1 night

From check in to check out, the hotel was fantastic. When reviewing the only thing i could not mark as excelent was ecofrendliness as i just didnt know. Staff were fantastic, breakfast was the same the room i had was immaculate.

We loved this hotel - the location was great, the rooftop pool was a bonus and it was always easy to get a sunlounger up there, the buffet breakfast was delicious (especially with the cava/mimosa offering!) and the team at the hotel couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Nearly perfect!

We loved the hotel! Service amazing. Housekeeping, turn down, reception, all wonderful. The only slight let down was the breakfast. The scrambled egg & coffee were not good and the fruit often unripe. We actually went out for breakfast but it’s hard to fault the hotel otherwise!

Average hotel, front desk checkin could be more welcoming and helpful, decent location to restaurants in the area. Pool top lounge at night poor service , no one cared to take a drink order

Cracking hotel

Excellent location,everything is pretty much within walking distance of this hotel. Very clean with amazing staff,very friendly and never awkward. Nothing is to much for them. Only issue we had was the fabulous rooftop pool had no shade for comfort,especially on our last day,we ended up having to leave the pool area. This is definitely not a spoiler for this hotel and we had the most amazing stay for our anniversary. Front desk,cleaning team are all very friendly and welcoming. Restuarant and pool bar team are fantastic. Whatever you need they are on hand allday. I would definitely look at staying at Nakar again.

Just in the middle of everything, the spa was great, !!!!

The room we stayed in was very spacious, comfortable and had amazing large bath tube, as well as all the amenities one may need. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with any request. Breakfast was nice, excellent fresh bread. Friendly staff in the roof bar too. The swimming pool had beautiful views of Palma and was most enjoyable to spend time there too. I will happily return to Nakar on my next visit. Merci!

The Nakar was excellent with very helpful and friendly staff who had good local recommendations. The location was ideal, between the historic old town and restaurants and bars in Santa Catalina (maybe 10mins walk to each). I would highly recommend the Nakar

The Nakar Hotel is a scam. Do NOT be fooled by the pictures online. They do not reflect the property whatsoever. It says it’s a 4-star hotel, but it’s a 2 IF 3 at BEST. Our room stunk, the pool was more like a bathtub sizing-wise, and the front desk man was extremely rude and very likely racist?! We had a friend - who is Black - come by, and the man at the front desk quite literally demanded to view his passport. He also called up to our room and threatened to call the cops on us when we were talking - NOT yelling. This did not happen when we had a white friend come over. I highly DO NOT recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful/nice Majorcan vacation.

The hotel has a very nice rooftop pool with amazing view. Staff is really helpful in suggesting places to eat and visit.

Nice Stay

Staff were great. Good choice for breakfast in lovely setting. Staff excellent at topping up food etc. Room comfortable. Modern in style. Comfortable mattress and nice shower. Menu for dinner not great for non seafood options. Good location. About 20 mins walk into the old town. Good choice of restaurants and bars there. Less so around the hotel which was mostly shops. Small plunge pool on roof. Can get very busy. Overall though I would say worth thinking about staying here. So many options!!!

The rooftop pool is amazing, as was the staff. They were welcoming and friendly from the moment we stepped in the door.

Mallorca is a dream spot

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Palma. The rooftop is stunning and a great place to relax. The rooms are aesthetically pleasing with attention to detail. Fantastic service too as they let us use the spa after checking out. It’s a bit pricey but worth it as it’s more like a 4.5 star hotel than a 4.

Wonderful hotel! Beautiful design, good location close to everything in Palma. Rooftop bar is really cool and a popular spot in the evening. The view from the rooftop with the pool is awesome too! Just a great overall experience, polite staff and good breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel in July 2022. We chose it because of the location and the rooftop pool. The facilities are good and the room was fine. The location is excellent for exploring Palma. When checking in, the man on reception was unfriendly and didn’t say hello. We also had cash stolen from our room on two separate occasions. The first time we assumed we lost it ourselves but when it happened again the next day (we left the cash inside a sealed internal pocket of a full backpack of clothes), we knew it was the maids. We raised it with the hotel but of course we can’t prove it. Very disappointing for an upmarket hotel. We paid €750 for 3 nights. I would not stay here again.

A short stopover

This is an excellent hotel in a great location. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Our room was not huge but had a king size bed. Extremely clean and comfortable with Moulton Brown toiletries in the bathroom. Would recommend this hotel for a super place to stay in Palma. Also the buffet breakfast was really good!

Nice design hotel with good service

Stayed at the Nakar Hotel for three nights in June 2021. Their covid protocols were very good and the hotel seemed to be well cleaned. The staff were wonderfully welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had a basic room which felt surprisingly spacious. The spa in the basement is lovely, and well worth spending an hour or two. The rooftop pool looks fantastic, but we struggled to stay on the terrace for very long as there is no shade at all. A few parasols or a cover over some of the sun loungers would be a welcome addition. Breakfast was basic but quite nice, and they make fresh eggs on request which were good. The restaurant area is lovely with a great view over Palma. A few little niggles we encountered: firstly the soundproofing in the room is not great. We could hear everything going on in the room next door (including the guest snoring which kept me awake all night). Secondly, the light in the toilet comes on automatically and is very bright - so when using the bathroom in the middle of the night it's impossible not to be woken up by the blinding light. Overall it's a nice design hotel, which is great for a short city break.

The staff was exceptional. They were so helpful with any thing I needed. They gave me restaurant recommendations, help me with my bags, call a taxi for me. It was an amazing experience traveling as a single woman.

We loved the hotel. Wonderful greeting. Beautiful reception. We were given a room upgrade. All hygiene was explained and there were foam hand wash dispeners everywhere. The room was tastefully designed with nice towels, bathróom products. The views from the breakfast room and pool area are stunning. You look out over the port and Palma cathedral. All the staff were lovely. It is hard working during Covid conditions. We were very impressed. The breakfast was delicious. We had a super stay. Excellent. Thank you

Jetted tub room was lovely however only complaint is that the air con was not cold enough despite being on. 14 degrees constantly the room never got cold. Also no where to keep water cold in the room. When having a shower the whole room gets hot so not practical with the air con situation. Staff friendly and attentive Pool bar amazing and excellent views from the pool area Would have stayed again if the air conditioning was improved

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Nakar. The rooms were small but very nice and up to date. They were clean. The rooftop pool and bar area is amazing. The view is perfect and I really enjoy the fact that they exclude non hotel guests until after 7pm. The best part about the hotel though is the staff. They hotel staff was amazing. When we arrived, we wanted to schedule a boring trip the next day. Because this was prime vacation time, all of the boats were reserved. Lea at the front desk (I hope that’s how you spell her name), called in a personal favor and we were able to rescue a boat at a great price. Thanks lea!!! I cannot speak more highly of the staff and their willingness to go the extra mile. Other staff members provided great recommendations for food and drinks. I would definitely stay here again and cannot wait to come back.

My wife and I liked that it was so centrally located, what we didn’t like was some of the staff. Some were helpful and always had a smile, but others were evident that they did not like their job. Also, the cleaning staff kept taking and moving things around in our room. It was almost like a game my wife and I played every time we entered the room, what’s different now

Four nights in Palma

The service and cleanliness are excellent. However, the rooms are not quite 'sound-proof' as advertised. It is possible to be disturbed at night by sounds from rooms above and below, maybe due to the flooring. In addition, it isn't possible to disable the smart technology at night so if someone gets up to use the toilet, the light comes on disturbing anyone else. This is made worse by the open plan nature of the double room - the glass structure of the shower lets the light into the sleeping area. The staff are all awesome though, as is the breakfast, so if you are a good sleeper I would recommend.

Great location and staff. Rooftop nice. Only negative is that there is no barrier to sound from the halls to the rooms. You can hear everything.

First the positives: Absolutely lovely staff throughout - genuinely polite, friendly and helpful. Room was a good size, the bed was HUGE and very very comfortable! Nice Molton Brown toiletries. Great rooftop - incredible views, splash pool and bar in the evening. We found the location central and a nice walk to the tourist spots and bars. Now the negatives: The breakfast was a bit disappointing - just quite basic. It was included but (that leads me to the next point)... Quite expensive hotel (but then Palma is) - stayed in similar quality hotels in mainland Spain for half the price. Movement sensor switching on the toilet light at night was a really bad idea! Quite noisy guests (not the hotel’s fault but the soundproofing is). Sounded like elephants were staying above us. The room could have easily had a second internal door which would have cut out the noise from the corridor.

Loved the super friendly hotel staff, the location and views over the city, the rooms were well equipped (lovely shower and Moulton Brown goodies) and very comfy beds. My only tiny suggestion would be it would be better if the wardrobe had a longer drop for long dresses and jumpsuits, as there was nowhere to hang long items.

we were very impressed with the staff, who were so very friendly and helpful. They searched for and booked a spa appointment and made recommendations & reservations to s couple of excellent tapas restaurants!! Hats off to them for their outstanding customer service - we really appreciated it!!

Short break

Excellent service across the board. Staff always ready to go the extra mile. Reception team know the area well and are always happy to give information, make reservations for you etc. Room spacious and well designed. Varied and high quality breakfast buffet with attentive and efficient staff. Bar and restaurant service was impeccable and food innovative with local influences. We will be visiting again.

I enjoyed every aspect of this hotel. It was relaxing, comfortable, and inviting. I absolutely loved the view from the rooftop pool!

Great City Hotel

Extremely comfortable, modern hotel with every convenience. The rooms are very comfortable with high grade fittings. There are many USB charging points, free fast wifi, choice of pillows, hair dryer (straighteners available on request) and a room safe with an integrated charging point. All the staff, from reception, restaurant and housekeeping were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast buffet and outstanding Cuit restaurant. The roof top decking area with infinity pool and amazing views over the city doubles up as an atmospheric bar in the evening. Convenient central location on one of the best shopping streets. An added bonus is that many of the city's buses stop outside the hotel - they have a flat rate of €1.50 per trip regardless of how many stops, which makes a very convenient and cheap way to get around. To sum up, we couldn't fault the Hotel Nakar or the City of Palma.

Great stay service excellent room small but very well thought out everything you could need hot tub was lovely but could not get it any warmer than 34 which was a shame

Great old town location

Once the parking was sorted, the stay was a delight. Room very quiet with great double glazing. Roof terrace and pool perfect to while away a sunny hour or two. Staff great.

One of the most comfortable and enjoyable stays I've ever had in a hotel. The staff were the BEST, chatty, polite and friendly but unobtrusive. Very well designed and organised hotel everything you want or need is at hand. Plenty of usb chargers in the room, even a socket in the safe so you can charge your i-pad when it's locked away. Breakfast was very good, great coffee and 10/10 omelette and again lovely waiting staff and nothing too much trouble. Bonus of a decent size rooftop terrace and pool with very tasty snacks and sensibly priced drinks. Location perfect for shopping, sightseeing, plenty of restaurants and 10 mins stroll to Santa Catalina. All in all really enjoyed our stay. Will stay again without a doubt, highly recommended.

Superb stay!

A very new and modern, luxury hotel, carefully designed with best use of space. We recommend the deluxe rooms with a private terrace and your very own hot tub/jacuzzi. The hotel is situated in the heart of Palma. It is an easy walk to shops, the cathedral and the beautiful marina. Staff are very friendly, pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is a buffet with good quality food and choices. The freshly squeezed orange juice is excellent! The restaurant and bar overlook the rooftops to a view of the cathedral and the marina as well as Bellver castle on the hills above Palma. The rooftop infinity pool is also delightful and has more views across the city. The highlight for us was having our own jacuzzi along with a very nice complimentary bottle of cava for our anniversary! Would definitely recommend Nakar hotel and hope to return soon.

Even better second time around!

My second trip to the NAKAR hotel and again I wasn't disappointed. I booked it as a weekend treat for my best friend & from the moment we arrived we couldn't have had better service! The management and staff are superb, friendly and helpful and we even got a beautiful bottle of Cava in our room to celebrate my friends special birthday! I will certainly be back and look forward to seeing the team again next time! Xx

Central. Amazing breakfast and rooftop!

Perfect spot. Great staff. Modern super clean with amazing rooftop with pool. My only small complaint is that my room did not have a balcony butbyou can get a room with balcony for extra. The bathroom is right next to bed in some rooms and the lights automatically turn on when you walk in so it will wake up your partner. Small thing overall. Highly recommended hotel.
