Unforgettable experience. Thank you so much for the hospitality
Unfortunately the spa / steam / hamam was not working for the duration of my stay, hence couldn’t experience the hamam in Uzvebistan
It was a very enjoyable experience
Movenpick review
Very nice and clean hotel with excellent service. Our room was spectacular. My husband got sick during the trip and the hotel allowed us to stay 2 hour longer before going to the railway station. The hotel staff also checked us in earlier without charging early check-in fees. Very friendly and accommodating. We certainly will be back next year. Excellent hotel, highly recommended.
For a Movenpick property this was severly underrated
Facilities were great - nice pools. Hotel is newly fit out and very clean. Room was very small - smaller than you’d expect in nyc or London. Two adults with suitcases and we had no floor space left at all… Service wasn’t great - we asked for help booking a guide and every day we went to reception and they hadn’t managed to find someone or had forgotten. They tried to charge us extra on check out (we pre paid for our room and paid city tax on check in). Bar service and selection was poor considering the level of hotel, and it was easily 3 x the cost of any other bar in the city. Overall a nice enough stay but not the usual movenpick standard…
This hotel is well located, walking distance to the major historical sites, very clean, very modern, very quiet close to Registan Boulevard with all the greenery and parks. Rooms are larges with all the conveniency. Very good internet speed. Excellent Choice.
Very great property. Clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the spa facilities and the tasty breakfast buffet.
Everything about this hotel was absolutely fantastic. And that’s coming from a person who actually had a hiccup at the hotel. I tried ordering room service via the TV since I arrived late & most of the restaurants were already closed or closing but my food never came. I called the front desk but I guess the receptionist never relayed the message about my food because some of the hotel team showed up at my room door. I explained to them that I was waiting for my food. 20 mins later, another staff member showed up with a menu & stated he was going to ask the chef if he can whip something up. 20 mins after that (already midnight), he comes back explaining that the kitchen closes at 11. Mind you, my original order was placed around 10:20-10:30. I was a bit upset & yes, maybe a should shave a star off but the night manager showed up again, sincerely apologized & gave me a bowl of fruit to hold me over until the morning. Other than that, the hotel is absolutely fantastic - great customer service, beautiful decor & great fitness facility. This still made it to my top 5 hotels list (and mind you, I travel a lot).
Wonderful stay
My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Samarkand Movenpick. Beautiful, modern and clean hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff. To our surprise we got a free upgrade to the apartment/suite room. A enormous apartment including kitchen, two bedrooms, living room etc. The hotel is walking distance away from restaurants and interesting site seeings. Thank you Movenpick for a wonderful stay
Everything was great, staff are extremely friendly, huge room size, location, ...
Good location food and service
Great place and good parking
Good fun . Friendly staff . No business centre though !
Practically closed down
Such a ghost castle for locals’ playground rather than a functioning and facilitated hotel.
便利な場所です
オフシーズンだったのもあるが チェックインカウンターに一人しかいなく 待つことになった。
Good hotel with some issues
In April I booked our room for October, asking for a bathtub. The hotel confirmed that they would provide it as I booked so much in advance. When we arrived we got a room with a shower so I asked for a change, showing the confirmation I received. The receptionist did what he could but I was told that the hotel was fully booked therefore the change would be possible only from the following day. I wasn’t offered any compensation, not even a cup of tea, which would be a nice gesture. The hotel is clean and well maintained but the cleaning ladies didn’t check if the amenities were really there, I got only empty carton boxes of toothbrushes and combs. The breakfast was ok and with a lot of choices but the coffee was disgusting. My personal highlight was the soap and shampoo - I got addicted to the beautiful smell and I was sad that I couldn’t take a bit of it home. We also used the room service, it arrived quite quickly and the pasta was approved by my picky-eater-child. Minus point: no menu in the room, on TV there was a possibility to “book” very few dishes but this order never went through so it was some kind of fake. Since the rooms have the doors facing the huge hotel lobby where some Russian-speakers partied until late at night, it was hard to rest. Overall it is not a bad hotel and it may become even better if the management takes care of the minor things that I mentioned and that might be annoying if someone books a luxury class hotel and expects luxury class service.
Well located hotel with superb rooms and attentive staff. Attraction at walking distance.
Vacanza culturale
L’hotel è situato in una posizione strategica È un buon hotel con spa e piscina ed un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Dovrebbero essere un poco più elastici, consentendo un check in anticipato, se la camera già disponibile.
Centrico
Hotel muy céntrico con muchos servicios.
Great stay, beautiful property, with a beautiful cafe across the street. Walking distance from the main sights. Great staff.
