Staff was absolutely amazing and extremely supportive ❣️❣️❣️
Is an older property that feels more like a dormitory. Don't book a taxi through the front desk. You're likely to be over charged and/or lose money if your plans change. We found nicer places nearby at a lower cost.
The decoration of the hotel is splendid.
I really enjoyed my stay
Hello. I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Everything was great including the location. 4 minutes walk from downtown ctm bus station, for example. Tram transit stop right outside the door. The place was very quiet, except for car horns during rush hour. The place is very tastefully and colorfully designed. Staff were fun and helpful. And it was very reasonably priced!
The Moroccan decor is really beautiful. The staff friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned daily with fresh sheets and towels . I booked with dinner included , and was treated to a different Moroccan speciality each night. Two nights it was tajine , one fish and one chicken. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with many choices including eggs any style and beautiful crusty bread
The mattress was bad. Hard Not clean TV never work Phone never work
Very nice place homely Morocco way
Greta staff
I can’t complaint as the location can’t be better than this. I will rate property condition as average. Receptionist Younas an excellent guy who tried his best to make my going out and find and explore area. He went out to guide me which road to take. The tram closest station was on right side where 2 tram tracks meet. This I find it last day of my 3 days trip as Younas was off and no one there could guide me and understand me. On the same tram track all shops there. On first day I was heading that side but a delivery guy misguide me say there no Restuarant that side. I’m not impressed of Casablanca except Ain Diab beach area. Not plan to visit in future as other cities like Marrakech and Tangier more attractive and entertaining
Dated bargain
At half the price of European hotels in the same neighbourhood this hotel was fine. Safe, quiet and nice staff. It’s an older hotel that has seen better days, but for a night and in this location I forgive the quality of sheets and such. Big rooms too. Ask for a room with a mini fridge. Very empty and a little creepy if solo travelling I would add, but a true bargain so close to the train station.
Friendly staff.
Unique Moroccan style, great staff. Not all thing work (A/C, shower) but are not a big problem.
Traditional morrocan decor was nice and breakfast was good.
Great value
poorly maintained
Great location. Stunning original Moroccan architecture. Dissapointed the hamam & spa was closed for refurbishment. Omelet was tasty at breakfast. Night concierge and reception staff were fabulous. Showed us the wat to restaurant bar with live music on our first night. Top evening!!!! Thank you
Staff very nice
No hot water, a/c barely worked, window couldn’t be locked, safe didn’t work and our room was directly above the attached nightclub with pounding music until 3am
This property was charming and beautifully decorated. The room was very quiet, and the beds were stiff (but I like that). The biggest drawback was the AC in my unit which made the barest effort to cool the room, utterly failing at its job. The bathroom was a bathroom, but whatever they paid their contractor was too much. Still, it had hot water and a working toilet. No exhaust fan though. It was about a 20-30 minute walk to the old market, and about an hour walk to the coast and Grand Mosque. The breakfast buffet was nice; toast, omelette (shared the grill with ham though, so the omelettes weren’t halal friendly), fruit, coffee, tea, bread, biscuits, oatmeal and fresh orange juice, for 70dh. Overall a nice place, but please fix the ac!
Very friendly staff , Clean rooms ,budget friendly and only few minutes from Casa port and city center I love the Moraccan style decoration and breakfast Overall I feel like I am home in Moraccan House
Very helpful staff and fabulous Moroccan decor
The hotel was a big disappointment. Aircon was broke, couldn't have a shower as the water was black, showerhaed was broke, bathroom floor was constantly flooding and staff did not give a two hoots. Reception staff was rude, could not sleep all night as I could hear the neighboring room. Next mornig I almost slipped on the bathrom floor. Despite raising concerns nothing was done. I was due to stay another two nights, but despite having paid in full I checked out and got myself a much better hotel that was cheaper. So glad i did as this made a difference to the rest of my time in Casa.
The toilet flush was broken, the shower in both rooms was broken, the outside door didn’t lock so the man gave us a chair to put in front to keep it closed. The lady at the front desk was not delivering good costumer service. I had to ask for towels twice! No spa as promised. Staff were u helpful.
The staff was nice, the property was pretty good
If you are looking to stay in a typical moroccon hotel with lots of moroccon charm then this is the hotel for you. Breakfast and dinner is typical moroccon fare and the hotel is located within walking distance of the marina shopping mall and ricks place (15 mins walk).
The hotel was beautiful. It was just what you pictured a Moroccan hotel to look like. The staff was so courteous and helpful. They helped us arrange tours, drivers and a spa. We got the meal plan and they would call the Chef in after hours to feed us. The food was plentiful and delicious. As women traveling solo we felt completely safe. There were plenty of plugs the AC was great. There is a supermarket two blocks away.
Moroccan House Hotel
Pretty central. Once we worked out the trams, it was a great way of getting around. The publicity photo does not reflect the accommodation, and not in a good way. No coat hangers in room, although requested. Availability of breakfast food was variable at best. Overall, I won't be rushing to stay here again
Great location, safe and quiet area. Nearby to supermarket, pharmacy, very good breakfast and dinner is realy good food. They also have an vegetarian meal. Friendly staff. Nice restrooms, hot water and AC works great. Big plus they have an elevator.
If you’d like to stay at a locally owned and operated hotel in the heart of Casablanca this should be your choice! Amazing staff, walking distance to the old medina and several other landmarks as well as tons of restaurant options.
Nice place
Staff were kind and accommodating, our party was check-in at different times. But the hotel is kind of run down and grimy. It faces a dilapidated stadium and there was the construction of a tram extension in front of it so it's not the best view or first impression. Also because of the tram extension, taxis can't really stop in front without stopping all the traffic behind them. At night the immediate area around the hotel is kind of eerie but if you walk a little further there are quite a few stores, markets, street vendors and great restaurants and it is steps away from the CTM bus station. The bathroom faucet was so strong it would feel like the water was electrocuting you, I asked my friend and he felt the same thing. Television worked and had cable channels. Breakfast was not included but was like 9-15 euros/person, even though other comparable hotels in the area included it.
Rooms extra clean, staff friendly and breakfast excellent, I have only good things to say about this place and definitely I ll comeback, I’m reading the owner book” open your eyes” I find it very helpful and easy to read, thank you, Bravo
This hotel has a ton of character. Beautiful tile work, ornate ceilings….nice location
Staff are
Good enough for just sleeping
Having no idea about the area, I just booked because of free parking mostly. Well-I got it but there was actually one parking spot for whole hotel, I was friendly to those nice dudes in hotel, so I got it. A bit noisy area, but this is Morocco! Hotel does not look like on those nice pics and NB!! GPS location both in Waze and Googlemaps is totally wrong...like 30 minutes wrong. Just use the postal address to reach the place and be patient in traffic! Breakfast was just the usual one, restaurants for dinner in some 5 minutes walk.
They allowed me early check in which was nice. Location was superb, less than 5 min walking distance from airport train and CTM bus station. 30 min walk to Hassan II mosque. Breakfast was serviceable. Staff was helpful when I had questions about buying a bus ticket and when I had an issue with the lock on my door. Room was clean enough that I felt comfortable. Hot water was reliable. The traditional Moroccan decore was a nice touch and made my stay more fun. All and all, would recommend.
They refused to honor our paid, confirmed, reservation. Expedia was of no help. Had to find another hotel at the last moment.
Nice older hotel and staff. Little maintenance issues solved when pointed out.
Please do not advertise free parking when there is no parking at all. Every night I had to look for a place with a gard to keep the car safe.I reserved here because it did say free parking.it was so frustrating.other than that it’s all good.
Vet nice and friendly people so far
Nicely decorated and the breakfast had many options. The place could use some dusting, especially in corners, higher areas, and cleaning inside the mini fridge. Great location- easy to walk to many sights and near great restaurants.
Overall, a pleasant stay and the hotel’s location is great! The only downside was that the hotel advertised free parking, but in reality the on-site parking facilities were unusable due to long-term street construction right in front of the hotel. I had to use off-site paid parking, although it must be said that the price for it was reasonable (about $5/day) and the hotel staff nice enough to accompany me there and show exactly where to park.
Todo muy lindo y muy bien decorado, muy tradicional como lo que buscamos. Excelente ubicación me encanto.
It’s okay 👍👍👍
Helpful front desk
The team in here are wonderful and kind. They put their guest first before any other thing. My stay here was great. Thanks
everything was excellent. I felt very comfortable ,every one was kind From the Manager, to the chambermaid. Actually I prolonged my stay by 3 more night .
Good, cheap accommodation in the city center. A very good breakfast. Clean room, clean bathroom with hot water, towels, wardrobe with hangers, very well working WiFi. Very nice English-speaking service. Central location, very safe. Casablanca is a very safe city. The entire hotel is decorated in Arabian style. Looks very nice. I highly recommend this hotel and will be staying the next time.
Not recommended
Old place, not maintain and not keep clean.
Hotel was okay for a standard hotel. Location good.
Good customer service nice hospitality but the price is very high for 2 days with out breakfast
I had always recommended this hotel as a great value and unique style. They changed the decor of the rooms and never updated the photos which is dishonest as the new decor is horrible and not unique so you think you are getting a different room. The price went up so it is not worth what it costs. You can stay at a higher rated, updated, comfortable hotel that includes breakfast for the plaice of the basic room here with no breakfast. NEVER again. Disappointed to say the least. Beds are SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE PILLOWS ARE LIKE SACKS OF CEMENT!
Awful awful awful
I was given a small single room with extra bed put in and that was a twin room. Bathroom was awful, loud ventilator, grey towels, no flush knob for toilet, wouldn't stop flushing. The worst was waiter at breakfast wanted to charge me for hot water. When I arrived and asked for a city map, the reception wouldn't give me one. Manners are atrocious. We came early to join up G Adventures tour .... never again at this hotel!!! The only good thing was the bellhop, very nice man.
Convenient location near bus and train station. Beautiful lobby inside, a bit nondescript outside. Friendly staff who held bags for a couple days. Room condition could be updated but relatively clean. Despite many other guests, it was quiet.
Moroccon House Hotel Stay
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Moroccon House Hotel. Our room was spacious enough for two people and had a mini bar and television. The bathroom although dated was perfectly adequate and hot water was always available. Breakfast was buffet style with a good variety of options. The only negative thing I can say is that the receptionist arranged an expensive 'sightseeing' tour of Casablanca for us which turned out to be nothing more than three hours spent driving around in the Casablanca traffic.
Unique locks on inside room doors. Dirty carpets. Bedding was clean. Fridge did not work. Big key hole in door which was big enough for someone to be able to look into the room.
the room was large and spacious. Beds were very comfortable and we slept like babies! The staff was helpful, very considerate and helped immensly with restaurant recommendations. They also recommended a private guide who was excellent and showed us a combination of what we wanted to see combined with his recommendations. So much that we tipped him 25%
the breakfast was traditional did not like the step in tub and hand held shower no hot water on any mornings i was there Staff were all very friendly and helpful doors difficult to lock and unlock
Bathroom need improvement. Very dated . This is a typical 3 star hotel in Morocco. Location however is very convenient. Close to CTM bus stop
Affordable hotel riad in Casablanca
Beautiful colorful tiles of a traditional Moroccan riad, but looks tired and poorly maintained. Rooms are clean and outdated. Simply furnished with the Moroccoan flair of colorfully painted headboard and vanity mirror/chair. Good water pressure w/ hot & cold water in the shower. Water splashes out of the tub when showering, creating a small pool, which found slippery and quite hazardous (high fall risk!) - had to cautiously get out of the tub/shower. Often used by tour groups, it's well-located, easily accessible by foot to most sights and public transport (city sidewalks are not ideal for luggages though). Staff were friendly enough and seemed tries to be helpful as much as possible. Overall, it is a good place for a night or two with its affordable price.
Grand old style hotel with good sized rooms. Feels like Moroccan style. In a poor neighbourhood with garbage on the streets everywhere. Is an old hotel and could use some upgrades but overall it is satisfactory for the price.
Driver friendly drove on safe manner brought back a bag I had forgotten in taxi for me.
Interesting decor. Great breakfasts Plenty of hot water for the shower Older hotel Close to the old Medina With a short walk
The hotel is decorated in Moroccan style from the lobby to the bedrooms. Breakfast is buffet style and seating is around low tables as per the Moroccan way. Perfectly adequate accommodation.
I didnt like anthing about this hotel. Filthy towels, rude staff and the list goes on. Worst hotel i have EVER stayed at in my entire life.
Generally, Moroccan House Hotel Casablanca Good place to stay and spend a night .
Somewhat unique cultural and local feel for the decor.
Good enough, but would look at other properties before staying again.
The staff was good. On the second day my daughter tried to arrange a taxi for her next day flight and could not communicate with the person at the desk. She ended up walking to anafjacent Sheraton and was able to make her 5 am booking, Trrrible breakfast and coffee, did not go on our second day. Good location with access to buses. Our main interest was to visit the Hasssan 11 mosque, that was incredible.
Staff was very welcoming and showed great hospitality. Nice stay for a great price. Would definitely come back here.
Just okay. Shower leaked all over the floor. Staff was helpful but definitely just okay accomodations. You get what you pay for.
On the street side, it's quite noisy. The hotel and rooms look quite old and are 'falling apart'. The door of the hotel room could not properly be locked. The staff is quite friendly though.
Great staff arranged guide and we had great breakfasts each day
Character location and helpful staff cannot write any more characters.
Local hotel with some beautiful Moroccan decorations.Walking distance to many of the attractions in Casablanca.
I got ripped off. I booked a private tour to the city and They did not promise me what it was. When I went back to the hotel the front desk that sold me the tour was not there, and nobody else care and did nothing.
As our first hotel in Morocco, it was quaint and styled in a traditional Moroccan motif. The breakfast was good, and the staff were very helpful.
Heck in disorganized. Was told that breakfast wasnt available to me.....
Convenient hotel with unique character
We chose to stay here as we were starting a group tour the following day and it began at Moroccan House; even thought it was two seperate bookings the staff allowed us to stay in the room which was great! Location is easy enough, and very cheap in the petit taxis, to get to whatever you want to see. Great breakfast and the interior styling is just like the photos!
Once we were finally able to get checked in, our room had no running water. We asked for them to turn it on; once they did, we only had cold water. We asked them twice to fix this and once we returned from supper, the piping was disconnected and there was now a leak. Instead of fixing this problem, they left a bucket to catch the dripping water. We asked to change rooms because not only did we still not have any hot water, but we also had a leak. There were no other rooms available so we paid full price for cold showers and leaky pipes dripping all night long...
The place was clean but sparse and the beds were small and hard. Our biggest issue involved breakfast. Apparently it was not included with our room charge, which was fine, however when we went to the "restaurant" for breakfast we found it was a buffet which was also fine however most of the food plates were empty or close to empty and were not being replenished. There was no coffee and no forks. As I ate the one small pastry that I took one of the staff came over and asked me to pay full price for the buffet. I said there was no food left and no forks why should I pay full price. He persisted and I took the matter up with the person at the desk who seemed indifferent to the problem and merely said "what do you want me to do - he says there is food there". I just paid the full price for three breakfasts but it certainly soured my mood on this otherwise mediocre hotel.
Close to the old Medina but not on a very nice street. Staff is helpful.
Good and nice stuff and its very nice hotel If i ever go back i will go there over and over
Excelent! Friendly staff great value. Breakfast is very good.
The hotel overall was ok but the beds were very hard and the noise outside woke me up often.
Decent place to stay
It was a decent space. Lows: The last morning our main light blew when trying to plug in a cord. There wasnt anything else plugged so unexpected and quite terrifying. Had to dress in the dark. The lobby is really dusty. Highs: Beds were comfy, old medina is a 10min walk & luggage storage was SO helpful!
Y was not happy room very poor shower broken breakfast not good
Solid hotel
Very decorative. Tipping is customary in morocco. Try to get small coins upon arrival. Porters will ask for tips.
Central, close to public transit
Hotel needs refurbishing, better plumbing. Very nice, ample breakfasts, when arrived, no electricity on 4 floors; relocated us to another hotel nearby, very efficiently done.
This is an adequate hotel for a short stay in Casablanca. The location is convenient to most things (I toured around on foot mostly). I was disappointed one morning that they were “running out” of breakfast items because I arrived later in the designated breakfast period.
Close to train station.
A pleasant stay with a feel of a local experience. Staff were very helpful. Close to rain station.
Fine stay
Taking into consideration the price of the hotel, it was great. Plenty of hot water, which is not true of all hotels in Morocco. Clean sheets, though maybe not as soft as some places. Poor lighting in general, but this was common in Morocco.
Good value for money
Friendly staff, good value for money A little far from shopping and restaurants
lovely old hotel
with an interesting and genuine feel. very helpful and nice staff. i like retro and this fitted the bill perfectly. if you don’t, it won’t be your cuppa, and that would be a loss.
Didnt like it.
The staff was awful.
Avoid.
Front desk staff = rude and useless. Bellhop, or whatever the gentlemen at the front does = pushy, annoying. Tries to grab whatever he can, Room key, luggage, your bottle of water, to “help” aka get a tip. This will happen every time you enter or leave the hotel. First room #17 = bed covered in someone else’s hair and dirt/sand. Bathroom toilet didn’t work so it flooded the entire washroom. Second room #34 = balcony door does not shut and there is a water heater unit in the washroom that sends off a high pitch squeal every 3-4 minutes for about 10 seconds. This hotel is horrible and we should have trusted the majority of the reviews. We had another stay here after we returned to Casablanca but cancelled it immediately. Do not stay here.
Central, good moroccan decor
Hotel needs major renovation and upgrade in bedroom, bathroom
Comfortable and clean
Hospitable staff, great free breakfast, pretty common areas, good location
The towels were really dirty.Very old, no well care property. Bad smell in the room. We asked the satf to come to low the temperature for air conditioning and they never come. However some people of staff were very king but very difficult to understand english or spanish. They offered us taxi service but they charged us the double of the amount. Even for low price you will regret to get this hotel.
