Absolutely gorgeous stay. Couldn't recommend it more.

Amazing property, the staff was so charming and nice all the way. The views in every corner are just so beautiful for amazing pictures and a sitdown with a glass of the Vernaccia Wine from there own Vineyard. I highly recommend the hotel and definitely will be back.

This hotel is surrounded by the Tuscany countryside. Absolutely beautiful! Peaceful. Food was great. Will definitely return!

Amazing getaway

All the staff made you feel very welcome. Beautiful scenery. We had a suite and it was very comfortable with a terrace. I would highly recommend it.

This property is stunningly beautiful our room was lovely and very clean. We were only disappointed that we couldn’t use the hot tub because they charged 90 euros for 1.5 hours per person to use the spa. The hot tub was outside of the spa and we were really looking forward to using it after 6 busy travel days in the major cities. The weather was to cool to use the unheated pool so a quick soak in a hot tub would have been great but not worth 180 euros That is our only complaint everything else was wonderful.

Incredible Property

Mormoraia was an incredibly beautiful property nestled in picturesque vineyards with distant views of San Giminano's towers. We could not stop taking photos all over the grounds bc it was truly a dream. We loved spending time in the pool, which was a perfect temperature. The staff were all excellent as well, but some were more helpful than others. Highly recommend a visit here!

This place is truly magnificent! The property is beautiful and the scenery is so beautiful it almost looks fake! The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel room was spacious and very beautiful. Highly recommend!

My husband and i went to Italy for our wedding anniversary and spend a couple of days in San Gimignano , we had a amazing time at Mormoraia. The room was impecable, the services amazing, and the breakfast included was also amazing. Everyone was great, but Maximo was outstanding, friendly, kind and very nice to us. We will definitely stay there again.

The view was spectacular. Breakfast was excellent, staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. Unfortunately, the rooms are not sound proof as stated on the web site. Also, bird nesting on building leave droppings all around building.

Beautiful property! Paper thin walls . Heard everything my neighbors were doing . No direction. No privacy. Shower was put in open … glass walls . I was with my friend . Restaurant mediocre at best . Never even asked us if we wanted to taste or wine . Went Tenuta winery 3 miles away and spent 550 euro on wine and olive because they took the time with us .

This was my favorite experience from going to Tuscany !!! I have to start with the people were honestly amazing!!! They could’ve not been any more nicer!!! The property it is breathtaking!!! The restaurant was definitely five stars gourmet cooking all the way!!!! The staff and the hotel has exceeded my expectations!!! If I had to give you little pointers somehow figure out how to give proper address so it would be easier to find( had a little hard time finding the property) and definitely add a heater to the pool! Besides that I cannot wait to come back !!!!!!!!!

Superb location, gorgeous property, wonderful staff. I will be back, hopefully many times! 6 minute ride into San Giminiano with breathtaking views of it from all around the property. 30-40 minutes from many great locations in Tuscany - it was a great base. Can't wait to return...

The hotel is like a dream. Fantastic views, very nice pool, great service/staff. We paid for a wine tasting that was also interesting. The room (Alloro) had great space, well decorated and amazing view. The only downside is that we could hear the noise of our neighbor’s bathroom. Highly recommend the stay.

Go here!!! I cannot say enough amazing things about this place! Simply outstanding!! The room and property had great views of the vineyards and San Gimigano. The pool is large, peaceful, and relaxing with the best views. The people that work at this property are THE BEST! I literally cried when I left because they had become like my family during the 3 nights we were there. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all perfect, especially dinner at sunset. I strongly recommend you rent a car if you are thinking of staying in this hotel. So much to see and do... Seriously, best place I've ever stayed!

We really enjoyed our time at this location. We had a good time with Gianni who was entertaining and gave us a nice tour of the property and wine. The food was great as well and the other staff members were very pleasant.

This property was in an amazing location with the most stunning views. The staff were very attentive giving good recommendations. One area to improve would be sharing more information on the services offered at the hotel on arrival at reception. We also had a slight smell of sewage now and again in the room. Overall a very pleasant stay and would recommend.

Exquisite and Relaxing

This property is more beautiful than even the photos! Breathtaking!! The service was top notch and the views were stunning! Some of the very best food we have ever had and the wine was excellent! You can tell that this place was built with love for the land and respect for the environment. my favorite things were the swallows, horses, flowers and beautiful landscape. I can not wait to return!!!

Gorgeous Tuscan Views

The service was wonderful and the views were amazing. The bed and pillows were not comfortable but the room was charming.

We had a wonderful time here. The property was absolutely beautiful, the service was wonderful, and food and wine were delicious. The swimming pool was such a nice way to relax in the afternoons. San Gimignano is really close and definitely worth a day trip. I would advise against the wine tasting. For 20 Euros, you only get 3 wines and a light snack. There are much better options nearby at a better value. Also, do not order the steak unless you have three or more mouths to feed.

Amazing farmstay experience in Tuscany

Amazing farm stay for an authentic tuscan experience. Property is beautiful, clean and the stafff is pleasant. We stayed for a night and did the wine tasting and had dinner later that night as well.

Very friendly staff, delicious food

Incredible food, lovely staff, beautiful farm hotel. Loved the scenery and very accessible to popular town San Gimignano. Would go for a superior room if possible as you have more of a view. The classic doubles are a bit small and dark. Unfortunately we couldn’t use the lovely pool as it rained most days! Will be back in peak summer next time!

Beautiful Stay in Tuscany- Ideal Location

This place was so charming- and the staff were very nice. The waitress learned our coffee order by the second morning, and the manager was very helpful on local restaurants and shipping our wine. The views are unreal here- photos don't really do it justice. They also have goats, chickens, and mini-horses on the property! The location is a great base for Tuscany- 10 minutes to San Gimignano for dinner and a gelato, and within striking distance of Florence and Sienna for additional day trips. Or just go to one of the local wineries in the area- we had a blast doing a truffle hunt with a trained dog at one that was 15 minutes drive. The only improvement I would suggest is for them to invest in some newer mattresses, ours was a little saggy. Overall though, a great and very memorable stay!

La Mormoraia was amazing! My husband and I have been traveling through Italy for 10 days and this was by far our favorite stay. The views are unreal and the staff is so welcoming and friendly! The rooms are beautiful and the food was delicious!! Highly recommend!

Tuscan relaxation

Great, well run hotel with amazing views of San Gimignano. Perfect for families with small children, as the pool and various animals (horses, donkeys and goats) will keep them amused allowing the parents time to relax and sample the wine which is made on site. The staff are fantastic and the service is great, would definitely recommend

Romantic Getaway

This place was absolutely gorgeous and comfortable and the service was excellent. You could not find a more suitable romantic getaway, nestled away in the Tuscan countryside with break-taking views of San Gimignano. The food was excellent, the pool was refreshing and the room was very comfortable. But most importantly the staff were incredibly pleasant and accommodating. We look forward to returning!

Beautiful Tuscan Countryside

My wife and I recently stayed at La Mormoraia, near to the historic Tuscan village of San Gimignano. The property is part of the Agrotourismo initiative for the area. The facilities are very well kept with a friendly and helpful staff. This is a recently constructed property on the site of a former convent so all amenities are relatively new. Our room was spacious and offered everything we needed. There is an on-site restaurant that is excellent, offering a variety of Tuscan dishes. Due to the many, winding roads, the restaurant provides a fantastic dining option without having to drive home in the dark, especially after sampling some of the many wines of the region. A buffet-style, help yourself breakfast is included. Staff are available to make your morning cappuccino! You will not be disappointed. Will happily refer this property to others and will plan to stay again.

Booked hotel through Expedia. I had written confirmation that it was a confirmed booking. However, on arrival told there was no booking in our name. Lesson learned - ALWAYS check directly with hotel that you have a booking! Review form insists I give a score on the various categories but for obvious reasons unable to make judgement. Did look lovely!

Lovely hotel close to Town

Loved our stay. Great to jump into the pool have have a refreshing swim. Room was very comfortable and air conditioned. Breakfast was great too

We loved Mormoraia! It is in a lovely setting with views of San Gimignano. The accommodations are excellent, the staff very attentive. Very nice breakfasts and terrific dinners. Can't say enough positive about this gem - plan to return next time we are in Tuscany.

Drive around Tuscany

It is a perfect selection to visit Tuscany and San Gimignano. It is difficult to find so make sure you have good GPS. Ten minutes drive to the beautiful San Gimignano. The view from hotel is so beautiful with a view to the city of towers. Had the excellent fresh breakfast overlooking the amazing Tuscany vineyard and rolling hills. This was exactly what I was looking for. Also enjoyed the sunrise in the morning. And, don't forget walk to the farm. San Gimignano has a World Champion Gelato at Gelateria Dondoli.

Fantastic facility and view.

Mormoraia is set in the countryside 6 km from San Gimignano. It is very luxurious and is a little piece of heaven on earth. The views are spectacular. We biked the back roads and hiked the valley bottoms. The staff were gracious hosts and very professional. We got to know them very well and they treated us royally. We did the wine tour and tasting which was very interesting. The morning breakfast was the best on out Italian tour. The owners deserve to be very proud of their accomplishments.
