Would recommend!!

An amazing stay. Friendly and accommodating staff who spoke great English. We especially loved the free laundry and detergent and the fact that the bathroom turned into a dryer!

Fantastic hotel

Room was really small...we didn't know the extent of how small it was.

I absolutely LOVED how everything was in walking distance, it might seem like a traditional hotel (which it is) but it’s small and comforting little hotel. I’d DEFINENTLY go back, cute little piece.

nice budget hotel in a quiet street. The hotel has kitchen and a public area to eat. A chinese supermarket close by. Convenient to take subway and bus for sightseeing.

Clean room, nice toilet and shower, clean bedding and towels and staff are very helpful like; the hotel receptionist even helped calling taxi and load my luggage.

Great location in Kyoto, close to Nijo station, Nijo castle, and dining/grocery options. Happy with the value for price.

We stayed in the standard twin room and it was spacious and clean. We had large luggage and there is plenty of space for you to open them within the room. You also have a mini kitchen, fridge and TV which is very convenient in the room.

Wouldn't recommend

Didnt really have much to do with staff, but when we did they were ok. The hotel was more like a hostel. It was clean, no little extras like we have received in other hotels for the same price. When we came down to reception, there was like an area to eat your own food. Which smelt. It was on a back street. The shower was really dated

Disappointment

The room was presented as having a kitchenette with cooking utensils, that’s one of the reason we booked it. But when we arrived, we were informed that the stove is out of work, we have to do the cooking in the communal kitchen. I think they should tell people not having a kitchenette in the description. We stayed for 5 days and no room cleaning provided. 2 laundry machines on each floor and the drying washroom are good.

They helped us get back our luggage that was switched in the delivery process. I miss the heated toilet seat.

was a decent place to stay. but don’t expect high quality amenities - bedsheets were abit stained, along with towels. and pillow sheets had a lot of holes in them as well. quite a small space and front desk only opens until 10pm

Me gustó bastante el trato del staff, las instalaciones, la recámara, y todo en general. Quizás si tuviera una cama un poco más cómoda, ya que la sentí un poco dura. Pero en general bien.

The room is small but clean and comfortable, we were able to use the laundry room but I wished they had a dryer, it took a long time to dry in the bathroom. They have a common kitchen on the first floor and it had a strong fish smell, but it did not affect our room. Good stay.

我們是在20241013-20241017入住6人3房 , 入住體驗很好 , 櫃檯人員非常的熱心 , 尤其是那位女服務人員 , 也很熱心的推薦我們餐廳與周邊景點 , 出國喜歡自己料理的旅客會非常方便 , 廚房設施應有盡有 , 不想在公共大廚房料理的話 , 也可以借餐具回到房間料理 , 這次服務人員語系中文/英文/日文都通 , 真的非常的棒 , 唯一小缺點是吸煙區在在正門口 , 一出門如果剛好有人在吸煙 , 對不吸菸的人感覺不好 , 一出門就是煙味會有點影響整天的心情 .

Hotel is within walking distance from 2 supermarkets and other convenience stores. The shopping street that it is located near may not be very popular, so as a result it isn’t too walk through; however this also means there’s not much either nearby other than the supermarkets and a few shops. Only one key is issued even if two people are staying in the same room (which was ok in our case, but just for others to note). The key is required to even enter the lift area to go up, so most likely you’ll both need to return at the same time or try ask someone to admit you in if one person returns earlier. If you arrive early to the premise, luggage can be stored there before check in time. Overall a decent choice for staying at while in Kyoto.

Comfortable bed, good single cook top and stainless steel kettle for tea. Also good kitchen downstairs for community use.

The room was small, but that was expected. Two carry on size bags fit great. The staff was amazing and incredibly helpful when one of our bags was lost in transit; she called and got it taken care of for us. A 30 minute walk to Nishiki market and shopping and 15 minute walk to Nijo castle. Amazing air conditioning due to room size. Would definitely stay again!

Overall reasonable except for the flat smelly and uncomfortable pillow and unable to accommodate side by side or opposite rooms for 2 rooms.

Excellent hotel. Room was small, as advertised, but perfectly reasonable given the price. Staff was friendly and helpful, Were willing to help us fill out forms to ship our bags to our next destination. Very close to bus stops, convenience stores and decent food options but avoided the crowds around this area almost completely

I really enjoyed my stay here. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the area was walking distance to both buses and train stations and was only a few stops away from all the main attractions and city.

A lovely, clean, comfortable hotel in an exceptional location! 10 mins walk from Nijo station, 15 mins from Nijo Castle, dozens of small, excellent restaurants within 10 minutes, and the atmosphere in the neighbourhood is really pleasant, especially in the evening. The hotel rooms were clean and had great amenities, the individual toilet and shower were clean and good quality. A communal washing machine offered free laundry (free detergent was available at the front desk) and the bathroom doubles as a drying room. The staff were very helpful, and spoke good English when my Japanese failed. Would definitely choose here again!

Very nice property. No frills, clean. The staff was friendly. They had free washers, which was very helpful. 5 min walk to Nijo train station. 20 min bus ride to Nikishi Market

Property was clean however the staff was very unhelpful and unfriendly and did not help us to get a taxi

There is a parking lot next to it for 700 yuan for 24 hours, which is very cheap. Convenience stores are also close, which is very good. The only drawback is that the curtains are not dark enough.

Out of the way from the main tourist spots, but closed to a market and small shops/restaurants. The area is quiet at night and not very light. The room could be improved with more desk space as the TV takes most of the table space and the room is very small. Bed was firm, blinds let a lot of natural light in. Common eating area, but not food provided. The staff could not help me with luggage forward (ta-q-bin), but the familymart around the corner did it. Overall good for the price in Kyoto for private bathroom.

Cozy place

Nice place to sleep. Staff knows enough English to get you through the check in process which is extremely helpful. Unique physical key and video doorbell for each room made it feel like an apartment . Rooms are very narrow but just enough. I would stay here again. Close to the metro lines stone throw away from local shopping area .

Hotel staff were nice. Beds were pretty hard compared to what I’m used to. Internet is very slow and cuts out often. Great location and very accessible though.

Very nice hotel. Front desk wasn't available a few times when we would have liked, but can't be helped. Very close to a nearby market, making it very convenient. Also only about 5 minute walk from Nijo Station.

This hotel was a good price and convienant location.

The amenities were great at the hotel The only problem we had was that our room constantly smelled of human excrement when we didn’t use the bathroom The first night we tried to take a bath the water was lukewarm at best. So I recommend you go to an onsen if you want a hot bath Jr station is Nijo if you come. If you like arcades go to the cinema near the hotel (3rd planet) it is open until 11 pm

A nice cozy place away from the city. If you like quite places and don’t mind walking this is the place for you.

Excellent hotel stay.

The staff was friendly and super helpful. They spoke good English which was helpful because I only know how say thank you in Japanese 😂. It was very clean and quiet. Access to Nijo station right down the street and a massive market also filled with food and shopping. I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Very convenient location to the Castle and Imperial Palace. Twenty minute walk into the town.

Enjoyed my time at this hotel, it felt clean and the security was quite nice. We were given a small little gift upon check-in that was really appreciated, and it is quite walkable to the train station (about a 3 minute walk) as well as convenience stores close by!

Kitchen facilities were common and you could cook or microwave. Free laundry facilities and the soap was supplied. Room was small but clean. Close to JR station bus routes

Excellent location. Generous allowing luggage storage. Good breakfast/food area. Rooms are small but still a great value for this location in Kyoto near JR line and close to major sites.

The bed was very comfy but there is no mirror near any outlet so very difficult to see yourself if you're blowing your hair dry or trying to curl hair, which was inconvenient.

Cozy and simple. Just what you need to enjoy the area. Basic toiletries (toothbrush, comb, room slippers) are offered plus amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) and tv mini fridge. Accessible elevator. Full kitchen access in common area. Just a few meters out the hotel is a strip of small businesses for food and anything you need -- all open at various hours. Very close to Nijo station and bus stops.

We had an issue on our first day but the staff responded promptly and resolved it quickly. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

It was near the station, and walking distance from most activities. Activist trust required travel often to no longer than 40 minutes.

For what you are paying you can't really complain.

Room is very tiny. Barely enough to have luggage open. There is a washer that you can use for free (detergent provided). There is no dryer but there is a fan in the restroom that you can turn on that helps dry the clothes. Stayed here for 4 days as a solo traveler (woman) and felt safe. About a 8-10 minute walk to Nijo Station with many coffee shops nearby. If you’re a person who cares about this, there is no mirror provided (to do makeup) nor is there a plug to connect styling tools in the restroom (such as a straightener). Hotel provides slippers and toothbrush with toothpaste. Staff is able to communicate with enough English. I was also allowed to drop off my luggage before check in time and hotel was able to receive my luggage when using the luggage forwarding service. It has all the basics you need, is safe, and is a good price. Would recommend.

I liked my stay

Love the area, right by Nijo train station, making it easy to get to all of the sights. Cute little authentic mall right by hotel. Could wash clothing free of charge. Great price!

Feels more like a hostel than a hotel. Room we got was very tiny with barely a space for four luggages. If you’re a light packer and a solo traveller, this hotel will be great for you. I have to commend the cleanliness and excellent staff service though.

Everything was generally great, room looked better in photos. Although still on the smaller side, with fhe price it was still steal.

The staff is amazing and attentive. They try their best to help you with any questions. Good english skills. The rooms are a little small but have a mini kitchen good bathroom size. I slept comfortably my time there. You need a key to enter the room areas so i felt safe. It is conveniently located next to a shopping hall full of food and small stores. 711 and family mart walking distance. I would stay here again.

It would be better to optimize the space at the bathroom to use the shampoo and body soap easier, the tv should be on the wall to use the little table without issues, overall a nice a experience

Muy limpio todo, el personal muy amable y atento, el único inconveniente es que aunque tenga la estación de Nijo cerca, para ir a otros sitios que no salgan trenes desde esa estación tienes que andar un poco más, pero aún así como mucho son 15 minutos.

El espacio es acogedor y la habitación tiene buen equipamiento, en los alrededores hay tiendas y restaurantes. Cuenta con zona para fumadores, lavandería y cocina.

Si buscas un lugar tranquilo y cerca de la línea JR esta es una buena opción cerca del centro de Kyoto. No cuenta con muchas amenidades, ofrece algo sencillo pero agradable y seguro. El personal es callado pero procura ayudarte siempre que les preguntas. A algunos metros encuentras tiendas de conveniencia y restaurantes tipo izakaya.

スタッフは中国の方です ただそこにマイナス要素は無いです 日本語が下手な人も居ますが、対応はしっかりとしてくれます すぐ近くの商店街は夜に営業してるお店は少ないので… ホテル周辺での食事をしないのであれば問題は無いと思います

Muy bien espacio, con todo equipado para atenderse uno mismo pero con la comodidades de un hotel. El personal siempre amable y buscando la comodidad de los clientes. Son muy muy accesibles, incluso en días lluviosos prestan paraguas, cuentan con lavadora y secadora gratuita. Excelente hotel lo recomiendo mucho
