This hotel is extremely old, and everything inside is outdated. It’s so old that even cleanliness doesn’t seem noticeable. The entire place, especially our room, had a horrible smell that lingered and even stuck to our clothes. While the staff was friendly and polite, and the location was good and felt safe, I wouldn’t stay here again and cannot recommend it to others. The condition of the hotel is just too unpleasant to overlook.

The stay was great. Room 101 was good only thing only one bedroom has a tv.

The Kitchenette having a bathroom sink above the counter was nonsensical and the wood floor had some areas of gap which could easily cut your foot! Service was good otherwise !

The room was very nice and spacious we had a 2 bedroom suit for our family of 6 and everyone was able to be comfortable. They also offered a mini bar and snacks if u wanted to purchase any of that. The staff was also really nice.

Be aware, they are charging for mini bar even if you did not use it. I would never stay here again. Suggesting to all guests, if you end up staying here - take a picture of the mini bar once you checked it and before check out.

Location location location

Perfectly located hotel in the middle of South Beach. It has seen better days, room was not as clean as I would have liked and for what I paid. $20/hr for early check in. Parking lot across the street decently priced. Hotel provides beach towels, beach writhing walking distance. Hotel does not offer luggage storage before or after your stay. WiFi very cliche. Over all a great hotel mainly for its location. They offer a free drink every day of your stay at a local bar.

Upon check in the first room smelled awful and was unkempt. There were piles of what appeared to be bug larvae in numerous spots in the room. The shower did not function properly and it looked like a toddler painted the entire room. The AC dripped from the ceiling and the elevator barely fit an adult and luggage. There is no parking and when I left and came back to the hotel where I was told to park was full and there was no solution. I ended parking 6 blocks away and received a parking violation.

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and the staff was so polite and attentive. The room was super clean and cute loved that it had a kitchen for us to use. They even accommodated our super late check in due to flight delays. We will definitely stay again.

The two bedroom was perfect out stay.

Wonderful stay at Ocean Drive

The property is decent. Close to the beach. I appreciate the kitchen to save money. My issues are small but my remote didn’t work, my room key kept demagnetizing, the shower is nice but the water leaks into the floor as it’s a standup shower. Outside of those things it was cool. Staff are very nice and helpful. I’d stay again.

Wi-Fi did not work, there was no trash can in the main room or the bedroom. The staff however during checkin and out was top notch, very friendly!

STAFF ARE SO NICE, BUT THE ROOM WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE, BATHROOMS HAS NO VENTILATION FANS, AND THERE'S NO MOVABLE SHOWER HEAD TO CLEAN YOUR SELF WELL, AC is too loud, floors are pretty old and not aligned, however kitchen appliances are in good shape. External door and bath door looks pretty old, under the bed was so dirty. But the houskeeping and reception staff are so nice and lovely. Hotel is getting old.

The place was comfortable

It was nice at first glance. The design and set up was glorious from the hallway to the suite; also the shower had great hot water. On the other hand; one of the smart tvs was not connected to the internet as a result I couldn’t cast. Also there was a mini fridge instead of a full standard fridge that was advised. Also a dead roach appeared at the door on the second day. Also the bed was never made during house keeping time only towels dropped off.

Room was clean and very cute. Staff was nice. Previous reviews talked about early check in and being able to leave your luggage, this is false. I received an email from the hotel the day before check in saying 20$ an hour for early check in, when i got there front desk said they could check us in around 12-1, i asked to leave our bags and was told we dont have space to hold bags and recommended a place called luggae lounge 2 blocks away, asked if they have a restroom for guests, nope had to use the restroom at fat tuesday which was questionable imo not sure when the last time it was cleaned. Anyways, Luggage lounge charged us 22$ to hold our bags until check in. In the mean time we went to eat and to the beach for a bit came back to hotel around 1245. No one was at the desk for at least 45 minutes no one to answer the phone. Finally checked in around 2pm. Front desk said she gave a streetside view room for being so patient. Whatever you do dont take the street side view its loud at night time and our room 207 was right about fat tuesday the restaurant downstairs so youll be hearing their music all night. Over all i like the location its like a block from the beach and many restaurants nearby. Again room was clean no problems there.

I stayed here for 3 nights. Everything was good except the door wouldn't lock but the front desk crew took care of the situation. I would stay agin

Excellent location of ocean drive in the heart of South Miami Beach, good attention and cleanliness, security in the hotel, definitely good place to stay.

Filthy and smelly, face broke out really bad just from being there. Bathroom shower had hair don’t even think it was cleaned at all, toilet was dirty as well. Room smells like death. Pool look like a pond for fish but Staff was really nice !!!!

Everything was great…ovation, clean, full kitchen, comfy bed, 2 tv, nice staff.

Convenient, everything was in walking distance.

The staff was amazing and made sure we were taken care of , the location was perfect 10 steps away from the beach.

Not good for family since there is noise until 11:30pm plus people smoking inside and around the hotel. The sofa bed was dirty when we try to used it it was yellow stuff. The last day of our stay they send us a message welcome and asking us if we need anything to let them know.

This was a cool property.

It’s a very nice place to stay. It’s close to the beach and rooms are well equipped with everything you need for a long stay.

The property is really cute it's nice it's near the water and it's well kept and very nice small boutique hotel. What I don't like is the surprise fees that they hit you with sometimes when you arrive and on the app when you're booking it makes it more difficult to find what you're looking for and in the end you feel like you've been tricked

Very noisy with bar below bedroom also passing traffic with sound systems at full volume. Property not cleaned properly… corridor carpets and room floors resulting in visitor of the cockroach variety ☹️ staff did move us to another room as it was our last night so would we stay again… NO

Perfect place!

Booked a suite with two bedrooms and received a one bedroom with two queen beds. Hotel management did not want to reconcile and blamed the booking process through expedia. Did not eat to issue a refund for the difference of the room stayed in vs the room that was paid for.

The mold in the bathroom and I woke up one night and there were worms coming out of the drain of the bathroom sink

I rented a suite for two days. Shower never worked properly they had maintenance fix it with wrong shower handle on the fly water barley dripped out. Tvs did not work at all lines through them. Ac worked but barely. Everything is beat up in the unit scraped my foot on the flooring that is comming lose in the bedroom. Things may look nice in pictures it is not. We hsd room 415. But we should of definitely stayed at a different property for the price that we paid 1300 for two nights. The fat Tuesdays thst is attached to the hotel the staff is rude and disrespectful im not a local i came for a cruise and stayed to visit your beautiful city but probably will never come back as every where i went i was treated bad because they think im here for spring break.

Staff was nice and it was conveniently located within walking distance of many places to eat and shop. Little noisy but it was also spring break so it was to be expected.

Everything was good. I did not get my deposit back it’s been a week already we even cleaned up the room so house keeping didn’t have to do much before check out I just want my deposit

The receptionist Hyna was amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. The staff overall were great. The location was perfect. Close to beach and shopping. Yes the bed heads were old and peeling if you care about such things. The two bedroom units were perfect for us. We would definitely stay there again

You get what you pay for. It’s cheap and walkable to everything. It’s not very quiet.. we had a room next to the street and you can hear EVERYTHING. The elevator felt like it was going to break. The housekeeping didn’t speak English so I had to try and explain to them that I needed toilet paper… There was a cockroach in the bathroom. No hand soap for the bathroom or kitchen…. I didn’t mind staying here even though my review sounds like I did. If this hotel wasn’t conveniently near the beach, shops and restaurants I would say not to stay here. But if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay this is a good option.

I'm a breastfeeding mother, and needed a place with a full size fridge so I can store my frozen milk and freeze ice packs. I searched a lot and this was one of the place that came up. I called them twice before booking and twice after booking to make sure I will have a refrigerator in my suite. We checked in at 1 am and my room only had a wine fridge- not even a mini fridge. I asked the front desk and they said they can move me the next day. Ok. Things happen and at least they are willing to fix it. The next day they told me they are totally booked and they can't move me. I checked, they had vacancy, 6 units available. But no, they won't move me to a suite where I can access a refrigerator. The manager said they'll figure out "something", replaced my cooler with a mini fridge where the freezer was only good enough to fit my ice pack. It took 3 days to freeze my ice pack and by day two over half of my frozen milk had thawed. They at least let me store the rest in their communal refrigerator. They didn't want to go through the inconvenience of cleaning an extra room, so I had to be inconvenienced for a 5-day long stay. I'm cursing the day I decided to book this hotel. CRAPPY wifi. Small, musty rooms with loud AC and sticky floors. Kitchen didn't even have paper or dish towels, all pans were nonstick and completely scratched. Shower stall so tiny it flooded the bathroom everytime we showered. I don't know why it is listed as a 4-star hotel, it's a 3-star if I'm being overly

The staff was wonderful. We had issues with a water leak. They happily changed our room. Parking is across the street at a cost but easy to get to. Jaina, Pita, and Otto was very helpful.

Beware! The place is not like the pictures. I've got a dirty room with stains everywhere, ripped furniture, strong odor of mold! I couldn't stayed there for 5 minutes. Will call the city health department to inspect this place. The smell is really bad!

I totally forgot the persons name but he was awesome. Our previous booking was canceled last minute when we flew in and he accommodated us so much! Early check-in ONLY if available but we still were able to get a room about 2 hours earlier than 3. Will definitely be staying here in the future, the staff at the bar downstairs were absolutely amazing! 5 stars for sure!

I spent 4 nights at the Metropole and absolutely enjoyed my stay! I was pleasantly surprised to see that the room actually looked like the photos on the website! The suite was soooo spacious, with a full kitchenette and all I needed to make a meal if I wanted to! It had both a fridge/freezer, a toaster, tea maker, coffee maker, microwave - amenities that were wonderful to have available - even if I didn’t end up using them! The living room and dining room areas were so comfortable and cute, with a giant mirror for silly outfit checks before heading into town! The bed was very comfy, soft, and a great resting spot after miles of walking and hours of dancing! I loved the place so much, I already booked it again for my next visit!!!!

The front desk was a bit slow, but other than that everything else was good.

This is by no means a 4 star hotel, uses very old photos and is false advertisement. The room was flithy and had to be cleaned again and was still dirty. The shower flooded the bathroom. The headboard to bed was falling apart flaking all over the bed. The hotel restaurant is a FAT TUESDAYS and plays loud hip hop and rap until midnight. There is no hotel common space for guests. The courtyard no longer has lounge chairs and is instead a loud outdoor bar for Fat Tuesday guests with metal chairs, and causes a noise disturbance in many of the rooms. The elevator wasn’t working at times and needed to carry luggage up the stairs. The whole place is run down. There are no guest amenities besides beach towels.

room size is good Small kitchen, dining, and living space - -There a night club on the first floor playing geto music all night, hard to sleep. Staff was nice - cheap construction/remodel work, doors have large gaps, paint was sloppy, windows moldy. Good location, not far to the beach and restaurants - homeless people yelling at guests in front of the property and the security just placed on their phones Overall if your over 25 or have children I would select a different place to stay.

The entire room was sticky and unclean. The white leather bed frame was completely worn out and nasty. There was not trash can in the kitchen area. There was a very tiny TV in the living room area that was broken and the screen wasn’t clear. There were bugs in the kitchen area. The staff was not attentive. There was a night club directly below our room with loud bass music going into the early morning hours making it impossible to sleep. Terrible experience!!

The photos look great. The location is great. The rest needs work. The front desk couldn’t find our reservation, even with me providing the confirmation number from Expedia. The room wasn’t ready at check in time. When we got to the room, there was no toilet paper provided. - had to take a long walk back to the front desk to request it - because they wouldn’t answer the front desk phone. The handle for the shower fell off - had to go back to the front desk and get the maintenance person to come to the room and re attach it so the shower would work. We only stayed the one night. It’s alright. This hotel was renovated probably 5 years ago, and now everything is worn and showing signs of decay. The Reno was not done to a high standard, so the grout in the bathrooms is grayed and chipped - the paint is worn - the headboards are cracked and the vinyl covering is split. For the money. I would not stay here again.

Super convenient location - Very close to the beach and the strip! A little noisy in the mornings (garbage pick up), but otherwise a great stay. AC was blasting, staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I liked the location but didn't liked the Cleanliness of the room, they offered me to change the room but as I already cleaned it by myself, no longer needed to change the room. On the last night the rooftop inside the room was leaking and all my stuff get wet, as well as the apartment too. The managment and the staff was friendly and changed my room as they heard what happened.

All the staff was " marvelous", always trying to help with a smile! Especially manager Mr.Pita, never tired, looking at all the details one might need..They all became " dear" friends !

Totally messed up the calmness with adding a Fat Tuesday in the lower part. Party promoter hang around the pool and also the guess from fat tuesdays 🙄 kinda suck

The bedframe I had to sleep in was so gross it was peeling. The microwave did not work. And it was so noisy at night. Parking was a nightmare. Would not stay there again

The hotel was excellent as far as walking distant to south beach less tham 5 mins. I was in the center of south beach. The hotel was affordable. So as far as the room .... the room was confortable love the setup of the whole suite bathroom and kitchen was very nice. Cons: the tv in the bedroom didnt work neither the tv in the living room (worked first night thats it) the outlet in the bathrr\oom didnt work either bummer cus i had to fix my hair and plug my flat irons outside the bathroom. but overall i will 3 stars because i love tv to see whats going on where im at. so beware of 310 no wroking tv and outlet in batrhroom does not work. other than that it was nice. the bedroom could use some painting up in the ceiling and also the stains on the amnd around the headboard gross not too many but the ones there made me gringe.

The property is very poorly managed. We had to call maintenance to fix the lock twice during 3 days. The housekeeping is shoddy at best, they didn’t clean the rooms properly. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, i feel the staff is the only reason the hotel is still standing.

This hotel is a 2.5-star hotel, definitely not 4 stars as the building is already degrading. The floor is uneven and the elevator makes noises when we got in. The pictures online do not reflect the condition of this hotel. The AC is ice cold in the living room but no cold air could get in the bedroom. The location of this hotel is great if you like to party and walk to the beach, and the downside is that you can hear everything in the street from your hotel room. The wall is thin and we could hear someone having sex next door.
