We just had one issue with our room which was outside the owners control. They prepared and moved us to another room. I would certainly stay here again and would also recommend to friends and colleagues.

Very considerate staff, from bottle of water in fridge to cool room with blinds drawn on a very hot day. Clean and modern, all that you need and in a very quiet location, parking right out the front. Comfortable beds and large, plush towels. Would stay here again.

Was assigned the wrong room without cooking facilities. Hotel promised to make an adjustment since no other rooms available, but no adjustment was made. Also, a dead bug on floor.

A clean and quiet stay. Best of all, no chemical odours experienced at other motels.

Apart from two small problems management said they would fix, the room was clean, well equiped, and the beds comfortable. Be aware the bathroom lights take a while to achieve full brightness. We had not expected that, and were at first concerned there was a problem. Just be patient. The shower is well worth waiting for.

Room was recently refurbished clean and tidy, however the mattress was so uncomfortable, it must have been new in the 1920's. A very poor nights sleep. There was also no milk for a cuppa, but someones v energy drinks in the fridge, one of which was open.

All good for a stay near to town centre.

The kitchenette was handy, minimal cooking utensils. The room was tidy and big. Parking was cramped when there were several people staying and not allocated. Otherwise, everything you needed was there. Streaming services were available- but with your log in, it was handy having Internet access.

Lady in reception was lovely. The bed was rock hard. Hot/cold water indicators in bathroom we're back to front - someone could get scalded

An old style motel that had a large room & was easily walkable to Tumut's Main Street. A bit basic, and no one to talk about any issues - plus the car park is badly lit so moving about it at night is a bit risky in terms of trip hazards - plus we worried about vehicle security. Not overpriced though

Good location in town - walkable to shops and food. Reverse cycle air-conditioning for heating and cooling. Clean and well appointed room and kitchenette. Bathroom has heated towel rack and heated floor which was awesome given it was late autumn and single digits outside overnight. The only niggle and it's minor was me having to quickly rewash some of the crockery and cutlery before use.

Loved the heated floor in the bathroom. Lovely clean property. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and parking a bit tricky for the layout of these units. Overall good value for money.

The rooms were very good for budget accommodation and very clean and fresh. The property is a short walk to the town centre. Using key safes to store the keys for guests makes it simple to book in.

Parking was inconvenient. Did not see any staff on checking in or out.

A neatly refurbished older motel. Inside the room, everything is modern and fresh, the beds are comfortable, handy kitchenette and functional bathroom with heated floor and towel rack (a very nice surprise)! I really had only one annoyance and that was with the noise from adjoining rooms. If there are people in the rooms either side of yours, you will hear them, their shower and taps, their toilet flushing and their TV. Some guests are considerate and others are not. Other than that, Merivale is recommended.

I had an issue with my accommodation being overbooked the first night which was inconvenient. The staff found me alternative accommodation and apologised. I hope that the system is rectified for future bookings as I found the room very welcoming and had everything I needed for a short work stay.

Very clean and modern motel room, also had a well equipped kitchen with sink, microwave, and crockery etc so you could prepare breakfast etc in your room.

A basic, well presented clean facility. Noise comes they adjoining walls but I was so tired it didn’t bother me too much.

Great location - a short walk to town centre. Room was modern & comfortable. Well-equipped kitchenette. Comfortable queen bed. Very quiet aircon. Could have been cleaner, eg around rim of sink. Noisy pipes next door were annoying at times, also tapping/sound of dripping water early in morning. Could hear snoring from next room. Management responded well to feedback. Would stay here again.

The property was clean. Was small but good enough for one night stay. The kitchenette was a plus, made it more convenient. I also liked the TV with netflix. Overall, it was basic but good enough for a short stay and close to the main street of Tumut.

Probably one of the best motels I've stayed at. Nice and clean, quiet, close to town and Tumut River Brewing. Free Netflix, Stan and Kayo is a great bonus.

Very clean

Modern, clean and fresh place to stay. They only thing is the walls are very thin can hear rooms beside you when they use taps, close doors and have showers etc. Otherwise very handy to walk to Tumut River Brewing company and back for awesome beer with dinner in a lovely country stop over!

Very clean place. Contact-less check-in (via key box), details sent via SMS few hours before arrival. Minor downsides: window look out towards fence with neighbours; water from shower splashes outside the shower area despite doors being closed (there is a drain there so it shouldnt flood, just a bit annoying that bathroom floor is wet after shower). Both are minor if you are just staying there for a night or two.

Definitely a cut above other motels we've stayed in in Tumut - spacious rooms, plastered walls (not exposed brick!), great kitchenette and bathroom facilities, easy walk to town centre, very quiet and comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

Very nice and clean motel

I have stayed at this motel a few times already. Rooms are in great condition. Super clean and quite modern. Love the convenience of driving up to the room and park in front of the room. There is one little thing I remember now from previous stay as well. There is loud noise, I remember it was from the boiler room? That seems to be quite noticeable. Although the noise seemed to disappear when it is late into the night. Overall, lovely stay.

The room was spacious with a small kitchen providing all you would want. It was very clean and well looked after. Staff were very helpful and made our stay extra special by suggesting places to go.

We stayed overnight on the way to the Snowy. The room we had was very spacious, well maintained and clean. It was also an reduced mobility room. The motel is close to the shops but in a quiet street. We like the place and shall stay here again if we are in the area.

Nice, sizeable room, good location a very short walk to the centre of town. The owners do not appear to stay on site (key boxes) which works well, but lacks the opportunity for local information. Some info in the room ie good places to eat would have been good.

Excellent accommodation in Tumut; sparkling clean and very comfortable. The rooms have been beautifully renovated. This was my second stay at the Merivale Motel and I will definitely stay again in future.

Late check in went very smoothly, and the motel room was warm and welcoming and very comfortable. No complaints whatever, and we will gladly stay there again.

Close to all amenities and extremely well presented

Was a bit concerned about the bathroom cleanliness with evidence of previous guests visible on the sink . In these Covid times it was a bit unsettling
