This is a wonderful hotel. Opposite the lake, next to a shopping plaza, close to city. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. The staff are amazing.
Very good staff
Best service all round especially the breakfast..We stayed for 6 days and we look forward to breakfast every morning
Very convenient
Just need to improve customer service and internet connection.
Great hotel with friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel’s service is so good.Staffs are kindly.Nwe Nee is good service.
他のホテルより少し割高ですが、安心して泊まれるホテルです。お勧めです。
Corridor to bedroom too dark at night
Boring limited Cable TV can't see international news. Unlink Novotel i can see CNN / BBC /CNA I stillmprefer Novotel Hotel and Pan Pacific Hotel. No night life in Yangon. Curfew was imposed evry night from 12 mightnight onwards. Everyone include tourist must stay indoor.
I ordered some dishes by using the room service. However, the tastes were not so good. I little bit disappointed the cooking.
Staffs are nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet need to be upgraded. Please to stay there and will be back again. Thanks
Customer service was questionable. The staffs were not pleasant. If they are unhappy that they may be shorthanded or due to any cause of covid19 then operator should stay unopened or train their staffs better to serve and speak to the guests more politely and pleasantly. As a repeat paying guest, we at least expect to be treated nicely. Hotel room and facilities are good.
Melia Yangon wonderful hotel
It is wonderful to see Melia hotel staff waiting for us at the airport entrance as we arrive Yangon airport 01:00 a.m. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We try all 3 restaurant in the hotel and the Olea is the best. The lady staff Haymar is very friendly and provided a high quality of service during our dining time. We will visit Melia again on our next trip to Yangon.
location is good, next to a mall, and opposite the lake.
Great Hotel
I recently stayed in Wyndham and Lotte Hotel before I stayed in Melia. To compare with those three 5star hotels(Include Melia)in Yangon, Melia was the best. Good location, clean and friendly staffs. Of course excellent service. Variety choice of breakfast. I and my wife enjoyed staying at Melia and will definitely come back.
Very modern/sleek aesthetic and great location. Staff was friendly. Wish the morning sun at the pool wasn’t blocked by the shadow of the building. Also wasn’t able to check in until 4:30pm (despite check in time being 2p) because the room wasn’t clean and still had issues with the cleanliness of the bathroom (soap scud on walls and drain full of hair that flooded the bathroom in my first shower). Also had to call twice and wait ~24 hours for them to bring me the key to my balcony
Wonderful hotel!
Fantastic staff, awesome breakfast and room. WiFi was very consistent. The location was ideal for me. I will stay there again without hesitation.
Room was a comfortable size. Very bright feeling. I loved the bed and pillows ! Slept really well on them. The breakfast spread was excellent...great start for the day. The staff were friendly and very professional. Warmth. I had a great stay there. Will certainly return to this hotel again when i next visit Yangon.
Fantastic location, friendly staff and great breakfast spread!
Fabulous hotel
Im glad I chose to stay at melia hotel for our first Yangon trip. Everything was amazing, they even prepared a surprise for our anniversary and housekeeping constantly checking on our rooms as well. Its the best hotel in yangon. Look for no other.
Sound proof of connecting rooms is very poor. All other aspects are excellent.
It's a very nice place to stay and the brunch is excellent. I just wish they were more environmentally friendly, such as by removing single use plastics.
The best
Got to say I stay in hotels all over the world and this is probably one of the best I’ve ever stayed in.
Good
Clean and nice hotel to stay put.
It was wonderful stay at Melia Yangon. I wish I could stay there for few more days but it was a quick business trip. The room was spacious with equally big bathroom and all the necessary toiletries for business traveler. Though my room did not a have look as shown on their website but had almost full view of city. The breakfast spread was good. The hotel is next to an mall with quite a few eatery options and bars. I would prefer to stay here again if I plan to visit Myanmar in the future!!
Room is so nice and sophisticated.
缅甸之光
可以说是缅甸之光了。
Amazing stay at Melia Yangon
Amazing, we friendly staff at all department. Breakfast spread was one the best I have come across. Love the traditional Myanmar breakfast Mohinga and the Coconut noodles.
NO INDIAN FOOD , which i missed during my trip . rest all good
1st is housekerping ..not detail on cleaning the room. B'fast very nice with alot of items in place of which i cant try all the dishes b4 i ETD. Stay was good as they upgrade my room with a Beautiful view of Inlay Lake.
Pool was very nice as was the bar and restaurant. Staff was super helpful and right next to a big mall with lots of shopping and restaurants.
I was assigned to a room on the smoking room floor. Even the walk into the corridor and to the room was choking. Called from the room and asked to switch to a non-smoking room. I was told to wait for him to talk to the manager and call me back. I finally couldn't wait any longer in that smoking room and went downstairs to request changing to a non-smoking room. I have my request of non-smoking room in my booking.
The hotel staff offer great service and takes very good care of its guests. It is very well equipped with different types of restaurants offering wide variety of food . There is a medical clinic that gives free medication, a great gym with nice pool.
Good service at check-in and they upgraded me with a lake view since I'm a repeated customer of theirs.
Luxury hotel with perfect view and shops
new luxury hotel with ideal location for shopping and scenic views.
Staff were warm and helpful. Pool is nice. Breakfast was great. Particularly liked the table with local options. Location is also good, with easy access to a mall next door and close to where I needed to go for meetings. Also nice to be by the lake and its walking path.
Great hotel with friendly staff .Amazing breakfast .
Very brief but enjoyable stay. Loved the Vietnamese restaurant, the view from the bedroom and the gym. Good service. Clean, modern and comfortable. I'd happily return.
The service is great. I used their conference room and they handled our booking very professionally. I will use their facilities again to run another seminar.
All in ok,nothing special. My b next time long stay will feel feeling different
New hotel at great location, my favorite so far in Yangon
ONE OF THE BEST HOTEL
I stayed with my daughter on a family trip at the Melia Yangon and it was one of the best hotel at stayed at. Very clean and impeccable service. Amazing pool, gym and restaurant. Also stayed at the Pan Pacific but Melia is definitely one notch higher.
1st impression when walk into lobby, nice....but that's about it. it was 1 disappointment after another. 1.Surprisingly Melia do not accept AMEX but smaller hotel do. 2.When walk into the room, its nice facing Inya lake & spacious, but the floor parquet gave out shriek sound as u walk around. big gaps between tile & some loosen. don't really matter as I don't spent much time inside. 3.Next morning I see a baby cockroach in the bathroom, kills it & place it by the sink. Took a photo & inform reception to look into this & when off for the day. Was disappointed no one informed me anything that night but only next day 8pm+ got a call saying my room is fumigated or something. Seriously almost 2 days later? 4.Then room service, 22nd night, I have ordered BBQ chicken wings & 2 more items from the room menu. What delivered doesn't look like bbq but more like deep fried. I have photo if you want & I had ask many people including my customer in Yangon what is this BBQ or Fried? Also placed it in my facebook. Well its not this issue if it taste good but the oil being used to fried really smells like re-cycle oil, wanted to puke after just eaten 1pc. Had inform your staff to pick up tray after dinner & ask him the same question & why its so smelly, but he said he will ask the manager to contact me. Know what? Nothing, zip, no one even try to put a note to let me know.
nice hotel, walking distance to a shopping mall.
Spacious room and smooth transaction. Staffs are very polite and everything is perfect. Would love to stay there again one day
pleasant stay
This trip I came with 4 of my sisters and we stayed in 3 different hotels while we were in Yangon. Our last stay was in Melia and that was the best hotel for me and my sister. Lotte was really good but at Melia I felt so relaxed and really felt like I was on vacation. Melia rooms are bigger and beds are so comfortable and the atmosphere was calmer and staff there were so nice and much more than accommodating, they were attentive, kind, friendly and polite. superb service, from front desk to house keeping to everyone on the ground. Thank you for your service and assistance. Will definitely stay at Melia again for our future trips.
Excellent facilities and services
Had our staycation in Melia. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. We also had a buffet dinner at the hotel restaurant, The Market, on its family night special buy one get one free deal. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
Clean, new hotel in convenient location!
This is my second long stay at Melia. The whole staff are welcoming and very helpful, all working to ensure you have all you need to make a stay-cation restful and energizing.
Wrongful charges
Just check my booking and its come with free breakfast. But I was told that breakfast not included and was charged with breakfast. Rather upset with the mistake made by the hotel.
Nice hotel next to shopping mall. Clean and comfy. Staff are friendly too.
Friendly people !
View and Location
Amazing view and location
very nice.. only there for a quick overnight stay :)
Melia Yangoon, thumbs up
The hotel is calm and has easy access to Myanmar Plaza (shopping and business area). The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The gym is good and you can ask the PT to help you learning new exercises.
friendly, clean and great breakfast. Rooms are quite spacious with view to the lake. Right next to a shopping mall which makes easy for alternative food options. about 20 minute drive to downtown
First trip to Myanmar with good experience and friendly staff from the hotel! Will definitely stay at Melia Hotel Yangon should I visit the country again.
Fancy hotel in location that is missing local vibe
Beautiful fancy hotel with great views, swimming pool and multiple restaurants right next to a big mall. For me, the location wasn’t great as many of my meetings ended up downtown which takes 30+ with traffic. I prefer the hustle and local business vibe downtown and will stay at the Loft next time. The bed at the Melia was hard which is why it didn’t get a good comfort review. I also didn’t like that all the restaurants were so expensive- they have a captive client group with few mid/cheap eats around. The mall has other restaurants that are midrange but I don’t love malls.
Great location that is just beside Myanmar Plaza and Inya Lake.
Great stay!
Location is good
A very great stay indeed. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Hotel is near to Myanmar Plaza and convenient to go around as well.
Good
All good
Rooms are nice and clean .Very good staff .Excellent breakfast buffet .Beautiful pool .
1 of the good hotel in Yangon
Great hotel with a great gym facility that I had tried. Breakfast is great and lots of food to choose from.
A great stay
Great location, spacious room and friendly staff. A good choice.
Clean and Peaceful
Clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staffs.
NICE HOTEL CLOSE TO SHOPPING MALL , AND INYA LAKE
STAY WAS GOOD , WE STAY COMFORTABLY STAFF ALSO GOOD , JUST MISSED THE INDIAN CUISINE
Luxury and great staff, excellent breakfast covering every dietary need and great coffee
Good Comfortable Hotel
Friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast spread. Very good wifi
Nice and clean hotel but pricey
Very nice hotel and cleanliness is good. Price is consider at the high side but you have shopping next to it which is convenient to get foods.
Fabulous hotel!
Stunning brand new hotel. I travel very frequently on business and stay in some of the best hotels around the globe but I must say they offer one of the best breakfasts I have ever came across. Only shame is I spent so little time!
Great experience with Melia Yangon Hotel !
The overall interior design promotes a cozy atmosphere with a touch on both modern and nature elements. The premium room is nicely decorated with high standard of cleanliness and comfort level. Wifi stability and room amenities availability is ideal too. Definitely the first choice for accommodation in Yangon, for both leisure of business purposes.
No complaints at all!
Hotel is really professional. Polite and efficient staff, clean brand-new hotel, super breakfast, good gym, good wifi. The restaurants in the hotel are also excellent (Spanish, Vietnamese, and fancy bar food)
Great service by hotel staffs. The room is nice too.
Best breakfast in Asia
I was skeptical of the hotel due to the hotel being in Yangon, and being so new, but our stay was phenomenal. The room was clean, simple, yet luxurious. The service was top notch, everyone had a smile and always was willing to help. The best part was the breakfast, one of the best buffets I've had when traveling. It is especially delicious when many of the restaurants we tried were...less than palatable. Should cost about 7000kyat to/from airport which is about $5-6. For sightseeing, you really only need 1 day in Yangon to see the general sights and then go to shwegadon for sunset. I'd get there around 5pm and stay till 7pm. The best sights are when you walk around the entrance way towards the locals and away from the barrage of Chinese tourists. Better off going to Bagan then spending more than 1-2 days in Yangon.
Nice Hotel Next to a Mall
Really nice hotel with international standards next to a shopping-mall and across the lake. Spacious, modern rooms with Shower and Bathtub.
Attractive Hotel but disappointing stay
The hotel is nice and in a decent location. Everything is new and decor is good. My only issue with the hotel was that upon check in I was informed the swimming pool was closed for the day. Actually the only reason I chose this specific hotel was to give my six year old a nice chance to swim. And to make matters worse, from our room she could see people and other kids using the pool, even when it was technically closed. The hotel was already far from being good value and unfortunately this left a poor impression on us all
New Hotel nicely situated.
New hotel with huge lobby. No tour groups as far as we could tell which was a huge plus for us. Nice big bathroom as well as large bedroom. All new and up-to-date. Would choose this hotel again!!! Oh and by the way, we did room service and the food was outstanding.
Very clean hotel, comfortable room, and impeccable service from the staff. Would visit again.
Great Hotel in Yangon!
Arrived early and was greeted with warm welcomes. Checked in early as well which was great. Management and staff are always friendly, willing to help when needed and everyone always says hello every time you walk in or out of the hotel. Inya Lake is across the road and Myanmar Plaza is right next to the hotel which has many eateries as well as a supermarket named Market Place HGAL for all your essential needs. Getting around is very easy, taxis are the most commonly used and is extremely cheap only costing a few dollars, but if your adventurous like me I did most of it walking. Shwedagon Pogoda is a must as well as Bogyoke Markets, Sule Pagoda, Maha Bandala Park, Central Station, Chaukhtatgyi Buddha Temple, Kandawgyi Lake as well as many other places to visit. Many street food markets everywhere with great local food is also a must. Overall I had a great experience in Myanmar, Yangon and will definitely come back and stay at Melia Hotel again.
Great location
Great location with good view of Lake Inya if one asked for lake view. Room was clean. Hotel was a new built but I was surprised at stage of wear which seemed out of proportion to the age of the hotel. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
N/A
Overall very pleasant. Large, clean rooms. Good quality beds and amenities. Godo breakfast buffet
An oasis in bustling Yangon
Probably the best in Myanmar. Typical Asian-style luxury hotel: spacious bathroom, big beds, airy lobby, open kitchen dining. Fantastic buffe in main restaurant: at 25USD half-price compared to SIN or Bangkok.
Great location. A bit of a mix up during check-in., but it was sorted.
Great location for a Businness trip
Amazing stay
Good service & atmosphere
A beautiful hotel with an amazing breakfast
Service around the pool was a little slow. After a 20 minute wait for 2 beers we gave up, the waiter met us on the way out by the lift.
Top quality hotel, highly recommended.
A quality, near new hotel. NIce pool area, fairly quiet when we were there. Attentive and courteous staff who were always happy to assist. Taxis were easy to come by. You do need patience with the traffic in Yangon though. It's pretty busy most times.
Very comfortable stay
Very good location and service. Big clean and modern room.
Great new property next to the riverfront. I was offered a free upgrade to riverview room so it was even amazing in the day although in the morning the view is not so great due to stained glasses on the window. There is a mall with Indian restaurant next door. There is a hard rock café next door if you are a late night party animal. Overall good hotel to stay if you don't have work in the center of the city.
Classy new hotel
Comfortable bed, clean brand-new room, excellent buffet breakfast, very good wifi and nice gym. Basically 5 out of 5 for the things I look for in a hotel. My room overlooked an ugly construction site, but I was out of my room all day, so it didn't matter. For a little more money I could have had a room facing Inya Lake, which is very picturesque. I ate at both the vietnamese and Spanish restaurants during my stay. Food is really good at both. Waiters a little overeager, but better that than inattentive.
Very spacious room, staff was polite and friendly. Overall, we are very pleased with the stay and will definitely go back.
Customer service problem
Everything was good except lack of customer service mind. We booked with 2 adult and 1 child, but the bed was only for 2. They want to charge for rollaway bed if we need one. I paid extra money when i booked for 3, but no 3rd bed? I don't understand the logic.
Staff was excellent and accommodating were great.
The staffs were very helpful and spoke English very well. Overall Hotel appearance is good. Wish the hotel has room service for massage. Also wish laundry accessibly would be cheaper. The morning buffet was great with a lot of variation to chose from.
Nice clean hotel in a good location. Convenient to walk to Myanmar Plaza. Good and friendly staff. No complains.
Nice hotel close to shopping mall
Very convenient, walking distance to shopping mall
Good location.
The hotel location is ok easy to get transportation.

Excellent stay. The bed was amazing and the room had all the amenities needed to make the stay more than comfortable. Breakfast buffet is a must!
