The hotel was excellent. All the staff were friendly except for one bellhop, he was a bit sketchy and asked for my personal number and social media. The rest of the staff were helpful and professional. The rooms were beautiful with a nice view.

The room was super clean and river view was really beautiful. Every staff was really kind and helpful. Highlight of the stay was definitely the pool and breakfast buffet with wide selections of international and local food. We loved it so much we have just delay our flight by one day and booked one more night with them

Superb Hotel

Make no mistake, the Melia Vinpearl is faultless. There seems little point in listing all the good things about this hotel, as everything is top notch. Having said that, the best thing about the Melia is the staff. I would love to return to this hotel sometime soon.

Pros: Convenient location (market and restaurants surrounding, Vincom shopping mall next door), lovely views of the city and river from hotel, large size bedrooms, beautiful building (externally and internally) heated indoor pool, comfy bed and 3 pillow selection, in-room mini bar, Cons: service and attitude of some of the staff on duty which we have spoken with management about; food we ordered from room service took a very long time and freshness could be improved, approx 30 kids using the indoor pool for swim practice from 5pm daily which makes the pool area quite busy and noisey, floor to ceiling windows in the bedrooms dirty which affected viewing, some marks on walls and bathroom which could be removed with a deeper clean, must pay to access sauna Overall, to our disappointment, we found the stay didn’t meet our expectations in terms of service. There’s great potential so a note to management that a genuine smile and positive attitude could make an average become a great stay.

Beautiful luxury in Dong Hoi

Really nice luxury hotel and staff were very nice and helpful. Beautiful decor and large rooms. Close to the local markets and the hotel was helpful with tour bookings. Shopping mall next door for any needs. Lovely scenic waterfront too.

Excellent choice for staying in Dong Hỏi

The food and the service at the breakfast were very good. We had the 2 connecting rooms and both were beautifully decorated. We were very happy with this hotel that we extended our stay.

It’s a decent hotel but a bit dated. They struggled to seat people at breakfast which meant we ate in a corridor next to the lifts. It’s nothing f special but then again not a lot of competition.

Booked a 2+1 room. But toiletries only provided for 2 paxs. Requested for water on check out day and it was chargeable. Quite disappointing

Overall wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is well-appointed and clean. Excellent beds - softer than the typical beds we’ve encountered in SE Asia at other hotels or Airbnbs. Hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating, went out of their way to help ensure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was included in our fare and had a wide variety of local and western options, very tasty. Airport pickup was easy and fast. They weren’t able to help us arrange a taxi or other transfer to the train station at the end of our stay, but that day was early during the Lunar New Year. Otherwise they almost certainly would have been able to

Best place we stayed in all of Vietnam!

If you want to feel rich and bougie, stay here! Everything was good about this hotel. The bed was comfortable, the pool and jacuzzi were huge, the staff was very friendly and helpful… I could go on and on.

Beautiful hotel. Definitely 5-star. Cheerful staff throughout, like An, and most are working on their English. Wonderful complimentary breakfast. Not much for a tourist to do in Dong Hoi during the winter.

Wow a wonderful nearly brand new hotel, very comfortable hotel for accommodation and their breakfast was good. Hotel facing ocean. Staff was very helpful. Special mention hotel staff (sorry don’t recall their names) went above and beyond to make our stay very memorable.

Great rooms and location for Dong Hoi

Lovely place to stay in Dong Hoi. Large rooms, beds and great shower. Varied breakfast. Located on top of the vincom mall and right next to the market and a couple of different restaurants. Our Phong nha tour picked us up right outside. If you want to take the local bus it's also a short walk away. The town itself was a bit dead in the evening but it was nice to walk along the riverside.

Room was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bath tub shower was not working. Water pressure was low, not adequate. While taking bath suddenly hot water stops and we frequently got cold shock during bathing and also during shaving. Very very disappointing in such a star hotel. Shame on Vinh pearl group.

Easily the best bang for my buck and experience in hotels in Vietnam. The size for a Deluxe out-compares, so far, the other Deluxe King rooms I’ve been to in Vietnam. The unit is very large with a modern layout. The complimentary ginger tea refreshment when checking in was delicious. The bathroom’s shower, tub, toilet and sink were very clean and the housekeeping was very responsive. The breakfast was very generous and responsive as well. The location is in walking distance to the market, shopping mall and various restaurants and cafe’s. The facility offers free access to an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam and or sauna room. If you’re looking for pure comfort this is the place to go to.

Beautiful hotel let down by the restaurant

The staff at this are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. The swimming pool is brilliant, really big and was always very quiet. The hotel is very beautiful. However, the showers are very temperamental and would randomly burst out scalding hot water, there was no happy temperature. On the first night we ate in the hotel restaurant and it was very expensive with very small portions of really disappointing food. The second night we ordered room service which was good but again small portions.Unfortunately there was no where else in the vicinity to eat at night.

Great hotel. The only downside is that there is no place to chill. The restaurant and the Pool are super noisy, the setup of the sauna and spa are not very relaxing.

The Vinpearl is a beautiful hotel in a good location. I was upgraded to a suite and the views were spectacular. The staff was extremely helpful.

Rooms are large and very quiet and clean. Service was mostly excellent. Good breakfast. Restaurant less inspiring.

New hotel

New hotel. Big rooms. Lots of money has been spent on the building and felt some should also be spent on staff training. For a five star hotel felt staff English proficiency should have been better.

Amazing place and location. Just 9-months old, the staff are super friendly, delicious buffet, very clean, amazing pool, and gym and spa services. The staff go above and beyond. They have folks pressing the elevator button for you! The whole place is very elegant and Royal-like. The view of Nhat Le River was simply beautiful. Located near and across from Cho Dong Hoi and walking distances to lots of eateries and shops. I’d HIGHLY recommend this place and would definitely stay again!! :)
