VERY strong 3 star hotel. Great Customer Service

It is a VERY strong 3 star hotel. Clean spacious room (we were in a suite). Very friendly staff, although only one staff member really spoke English, which was fine. Customer service amazing. For example, there was a foul smell in the room they came up with air freshener right away. Bear in mind, there is only ONE elevator and it stops in between floors, in other words, you'll need to walk up or down a flight of stairs to get to your floor. A bit annoying with luggage of it one has accessibility issues. Overall though, a GREAT stay.

It was great overall. The front desk was very helpful. Alexandria was extraordinary in her service knowledge and friendliness. The rooms were clean and updated. Great overall.

Really great, comfortable place. True 3-4 star hotel. Huge rooms, very comfortable beds. Great free breakfast buffet - really good food, variety, great coffee machine with double espresso, cappuccino, etc. Great WIFI service in all part of the hotel. Great garden with tables and chairs in the front. Just a great place. Stayed in many others in St. Petersburg - for $50 is a really good value! Will definitely stay here again!

Always pleasant

It has always been a pleasure to stay at this lovely and cozy hotel. Matisov Domik is my first choice whenever visiting Saint Petersburg, and it has never disappointed me. If you're looking for a quite place within walking distance (20-30 mins.) from major tourist attractions, you might want to consider this hotel.

Lovely staff, but quirky hotel

The hotel is not as close to the downtown as we would have liked and seems to be on the periphery of the downtown. The staff was lovely and were quite helpful. The breakfast was nice and quickly replenished. However, the layout of the hotel was very strange with two wings that require climbing up and down stairs to get from one part of the hotel to the other. Only one part of the hotel has an elevator and since we stayed at the part of the hotel that did not have an elevator, we had to carry our luggage up and down several flights of stairs.

I arrived on my birthday and was made to feel welcome. Yana was particularly kind and on my return that evening found a plate of fruit and birthday card in my room. It was a really kind gesture and something I will never forget. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and I would love to stay there again

A hidden gem!

I stayed there for a week, which I enjoyed tremendously. The hotel is nicely located along a canal, near the Mariinsky Theatre and St. Nicholas Cathedral. The hotel was well-maintained, and the staff was extremely friendly and highly professional. I visited St Petersburg mainly to see performances at the Mariinsky, and it was a perfect choice. The breakfast was also great, and it was such a joy to sit around the yard full of flowers, drinking tea. I'll definitely come back.

If u dont have a car, it is very far from metro. there is river around the hotel, so it has good scenery.

Nice hotel at a good price

Matisov Domik is located away from the major tourist areas but close to the Mariinski Theater. Hence, it has been a favorite of opera singers and operagoers. It is undergoing a renovation and the newly opened rooms are far superior to the old ones. I hope the renovation of the old rooms bring them up to this standard. Breakfast is included and also has improved. There is complimentary parking. The staff all speak acceptable English. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay this last December.

Comfortable by Russian standards

The room was clean and of good size, the receptionist spoke some English, breakfast was OK and the hotel was only a few blocks from the tourist sights. That was the good side. There was no English channels on the TV, despite the hotel saying daily they would fix it, the security guard yelled at my daughter for playing on the grass (there was no sign saying she couldn't and I've never seen a 7 year old hurting grass) and there was no air conditioning. The lift didn't start from the ground floor but the next floor. Weird. Overall a good hotel that is worth considering.

Great reasonably-priced Russian family hotel

This hotel is a little out of the way but the hotel has a shuttle bus to the nearest metro station. Taxi to the city centre is about 600 rubles. Having said that, it's a quiet location by a canal and only 15 mins walk to the Mariinsky Theatre. It's also very affordable for St. Petersburg. We booked a triple room for myself, my wife and our 14 year-old son. we were given a very large two-room suite. Clean, housekeeping and fresh towels every day. Russian-style breakfast buffet included. The staff had limited English but were friendly and as helpful as they could be given the language. If you're looking for a genuine Russian-style hotel experience at a reasonable rate and are prepared to be a little adventuous, but still safe and comfortable, I would recommend this hotel.

ok just for yourself if don't care about service

I was arrived to the hotel late night but the receptionist says I can't enter because we don't have passports and they can't accept driver licenses. In addition, they requires passport for each guest. That was very strange, because usually driver license or 1 passport is enough for the person booking the room. This is true for any city in Russia, not St-Petersburg only - know it by my own experience. The additional thing - whole conversation was ... (a little) below common politeness standards. It looks like staff only cares about himself (I can't let you in because I afraid of ... -- receptionist) and absolutely don't care about the guests. By the way, while I wait on the reception (after I walk back to the office, get passports and come back) somebody come diown and says there is no light on the floor... May be that person did not know there are moving sensors, may be not - i did not check... I've take standard room, which was ... ok just to fall asleep, wake up early and go out. Very simple, very basic quality. And TV with broken remote control...

Mad house

This hotel used to be a mad house and as you can imagine is located very far from any point of interest. Getting there is not easy and ones you are there you feel isolation. If you are in Petersburg for white nights you should not stay there. No restaurant near by so check in on a full stomach

Мне понравилось, что отель находится в довольно уединенном месте, на небольшом Матисовом острове. К тому же у отеля есть собственный очень милый дворик, в котором растут красивые цветы, а сейчас еще цветет сирень и поют соловьи. Романтика! Правда, поздно вечером пешком возвращаться в отель одной было немного жутко :) Номер в отеле был просторный, чистый. Очень большой шкаф для одежды. Потрясающая кровать, подушка и матрас невероятно удобные. Холодильник, правда, крошечный, но нам хватило места :) Очень жалко, что в стандартных номерах нет чайника - нам его очень не хватало. А в кулере не всегда была вода.

Все было хорошо, прекрасный завтрак. Единственное , что не понравилось, так это расположение... Глухое место, пешком не очень удобно оттуда выбираться.

Siisti hotelli jossa ei mitään huomautettavaa. Hieman syrjässä julkisen liikenteen reiteiltä, mutta ehkä juuri siksi rauhallinen, aamulla ei herännyt liikenteen meluun .

Tolles Mittelklassehotel

Das Matisov Domik ist eines der wenigen Mittelklassehotels in St. Petersburg, ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen zwar, doch dafür zentrumsnah und ruhig. Weitere Pluspunkte: freundlicher Service, gutes Frühstücksbuffet und Leihfahräder.

Отдых в новый год

Очень уютный и красивый отель. Хорошие завтраки.Только желательно приходить до 9.00, иначе много народа, а зал маленький. Номер стандартный ОЧЕНЬ большой. Все удобно и уютно. Кровать большая, матрас отличный. Для тех у кого проблемы со спиной - матрас был самое то. Выспались на целый год.

Sehr ruhiges Hotel etwas abgelegen vom Zentrum

Die etwas abgelegenen Lage wird durch den ausgezeichneten und kostenlosen Shuttle Service wett gemacht. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig geschnitten und verfügen über Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle und Wasserkocher. Die Räume sind überdurchschnittlich gut geheizt und werden sehr sorgfältig gereinigt. Das vielfältige Frühstücksbuffet mit modernem Kaffeeautomat läßt keine Wünsche offen. An der Rezeption wird man kompetent beraten, es ist immer jemand da, der Englisch spricht und mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Der Flughafen-Shuttle ist zwar nicht kostenlos, aber, dank einer ausgezeichnet Englisch-sprechenden Fahrerin sehr informativ und angenehm gewesen.

В отеле все понравилось. Один маленький минус- в ванной не работала батарея "полотенчик", но в номере был дополнительный электрический калорифер. Использовали его.

Останавливались одну ночь в этом отеле.. Все понравилось, и то, что повысили категорию номера, и дали 2комнатный номер, и месторасположение, и наличие собственного дворика, и отличный вкусный завтрак.. Один малюсенький минус- отель староват немного.. Но все чисто

Первый и второй этаж с ремонтом. На четвёртом этаже просто ужасно. Старая, грязная мебель.

Ótimo custo benefício

Ótimo hotel, localizado à 5 quilômetros da Igreja do Sangue Derramado.Bom atendimento; café básico (sala de café pequena para o tamanho do hotel); excelentes quartos. Um pequeno problema é que tem um lance de escada até o elevador. O valor da diária é super interessante.

Ótimo valor das diárias.

Hotel de ótimo padrão, com café da manhã. O hotel esta localizado em um bairro que tem muitas construções - prédios grandes e antigos, sem habitantes. Apesar de ser longe do centro para ir andando, há uma condução que leva os hospedes até o metrô mais próximo.

Ein kleines Hotel, etwas abseits gelegen, aber mit Bus bzw. Mini-Bus vom Zentrum oder von Metro-Stationen gut erreichbar. Außerdem verfügt das Hotel selber über einen Shuttlebus-Service, der die Gäste vormittags bzw. am frühen Abend zur Metro-Station Sadovaya bringt. Das Einzelzimmer war groß und zufriedenstellend. Typisch russisches Frühstücksangebot. Fazit : Angesichts des überaus günstigen Preises empfehlenswert.

Чисто, тихо, недорого в центре Санкт-Петербурга

Понравилось, но, признаюсь, у нас были завышенные ожидания от отеля из за большого количества отличных отзывов на сайтах, а также рекомендаций друзей. При заселении возникло сразу несколько негативных моментов. Не понравилось излишне долгое ожидание заполнения анкет, можно наверное ограничиться подписью стандартной формы и копией паспортов - 10 минут - это долго! Кофе в номер предложили взять в одноразовых стаканчиках и почему то взяли по 100 рублей, а в меню американо было по 70. В номере оказалось очень холодно, было забыто открытое окно. Обогреватель оказался неисправен. С горничной порешали, но потеряли ещё минут 30 времени. В душе подтекает вода из за неплотной двери кабинки. Полотенцесушитель абсолютно холодный. Двухспальная кровать на самом деле составлена из двух односпальных. Нет чайного набора - кулер есть где-то внизу, но это спускаться на 4 этажа и обходить полдома. Остальное - сплошные плюсы! Хорошая пешеходная доступность центра - 10 минут до Мариинского театра, 20 до Исаакия и 30 до Дворцовой. Исключительная тишина! Хороший завтрак. Хотелось бы большего выбора выпечки, но и круассаны неплохи. Отличное обслуживание на завтраке. Очень чисто в номерах. Полотенца, кажется, меняли каждый день и их было достаточное количество. И все это за очень приятную цену. Чуть подтянуть обслуживание и лучше следить за терморегуляцией в номерах - будет самым лучшим отелем.

Excelente relación precio/calidad

Excelente hotel según relación precio/calidad. Muy limpio, dormitorios cómodos, buena atención del personal y muy silencioso, ideal para unas vacaciones familiares. El único problema es que está un poco retirado del corazón del centro, aún así tienen un servicio de mini bus que sale a ciertos horarios desde el hotel y te deja en la estación principal de metro, lo cual es bastante útil para ahorrar en transporte.

Hübsches Hotel

Ich kann nur sagen, es ist sehr empfehlenswert,es ist sehr sauber, freundliches Team, die Ausstattung des Zimmers sowie das Frühstücksbuffet ist völlig ausreichend. Es stehen 2 Computer Portals zu verfügung und außerdem ist das Wlan inklusive.

Hotel liegt zentral zur Newa und Marinsky Theater

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, waren viel unterwegs, haben viel gesehen und gut geschlafen! Freundliches Hotel mit großzügigem Zimmer, gut geeignet für Paare die gut zu Fuß sind. Der Nevski-Prospekt , die Newa, das Winterpalais und weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichbar, für Theaterfreunde nur 15 Min. zu Fuß bis zu den Marinsky-Theatern, 15 Min. zu Fuß, wenn man nachts die Brückenöffnungen und das Nachtleben genießen möchte. Stets hilfsbereite Menschen und hauptsächlich junge Menschen.

Отель пытается стать лучше и это видно. Но наш номер, апартаменты, требует ремонта, который, судя по всему, был лет 20 назад.на втором этаже есть отличные номера.

Отель в целом хороший, без заморочек

Мы остановились в отеле на 3 дня. В общем отель нам понравился свои 3 зведы оправдывает. Сначала о плюсах: Персонал очень приветливый и услужливый, завтраки вполне приличные,место положение удачное, не далеко от центра , но нет шума по ночам, общее впечатления отличные. Номер у нас был семейный на 3 - х человек. Постели чистые. Теперь о минусах.1) Когда бронировали номер первым из пожеланий было заселение на первом этоже, но как выяснилось это пожелание не учли.2) Самый большой недостаток то что в выходные дни нет трансфера от отеля к метро,3) По размещению в номер пришлось попросить горничную еще раз вымыть номер (а именно в номере на полу было очень грязно, много волос, пыль на тумбочках, на подоконниках, на телевизоре, очень пыльные светильники, и т.д.),4) в номере на троих было 2 халата и одна пара тапочек, то же пришлось попросить что бы принесли. Все недостатки были быстро устранены. За это огромное спасибо. Отель оставил по большому счету приятные впечатления. Будим в Питере обязательно остановимся снова в это отеле. Друзьям конечно посоветую именно этот отель. Не дорого но достойно.
