Clean hotel and well situated
Beautiful property right on the riverwalk. Amazing stuff. Very walkable. Great location.
I booked two rooms at the property for October during their Day of the dead event weekend. Upon check in , there was no available parking for us as they were all taken by the visitors that came to see the riverwalk parade. We could not find any parking for about 30 minutes and then had to pay an additional fee for parking away from the property. I was also informed that I had to pay an additional $240 for both nights for both rooms together for an incidental fee. When I called ahead of time was told they did not have any additional fees. During check in the staff informed us we had a $25 attraction fee that could be used for any attraction of our desire. We were given a piece a paper and were told to take it the desired attraction we were going to go to. We chose the riverwalk boats, however were told we had to go back to the hotel and receive our tickets at the front desk. We still had to pay for the tickets. This was my first time staying at the marriott and will not return. The only good thing about this hotel was the fact housekeeping came during our stay and cleaned the room. For the price of this hotel, I would rather spend it somewhere else. Would not recommend.
As Bonvoy Member I received preferred treatment
Good place
Staff service no friendly either helpful, waiters doesn’t know how to serve wines
Overall great experience. Rooms are a little outdated
As for during the weekend convention was a lot convenient for me and overall price was great looking forward to next year
had to change rooms because a/c was not working and the dest fee its not right
Great stay; clean, comfortable, accessible to all.
Right along the world famous Riverwalk!
Everything was in walking distance
Nice property and nice view to the river walk.
Great Hotel on Riverwalk
This was a very nice Hotel. My only complaint is the AC did not get cold enough in our room. The service was great and the staff was excellent.
Proximity to Riverwalk, shops and restaurants.
All personnel was very professional and provided an amazing experience, in the middle of crazy while having various events going on at the same time. Thank you!
Property is clean easy access to Riverwalk and shopcenters perfect location
Everything was excellent and will definitely stay again
Local getaway
This stay was for me and my 12 yr old for his birthday, we were local tourist and decided to enjoy 48hrs, the hotel was a welcomed rest stop with an amazing pool where he played an made new freinds and the restaurant was by far our favorite meal that weekend, the bourbon tres leche is to die for!!
I will be staying here again
Very nice but dated
Close to everything
Everything
Elevator system is insane
Quick weekend getaway. I understand the security measures but the new " secure" elevator feature was EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT. The rest if our group was on a different floor and we had to meet up in the lobby every time. Theres got to be a better way to ensure security and comfort TOGETHER
Enjoyed and appreciated the top notch service and professionalism by Trevor and the crew. Great room with a great view.
Great location for the Convention Center and the Riverwalk
Great stay for conventions
I stayed at the Marriott Hotel which was close by to the Henry B Gonzales Convention Center. We had excellent service and were well pleased
Good
Customer service cannot be better.
Great experience !
Liked amenities, parking was tough.
The location was wonderful
Awesome Celebration. Loved the Riverwalk!!
Amazon staff. Service unlike any other!
.
I love that the property was very well maintained. It was clean and it smelled nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. I love the convenient location to my convention across the street and it's close to the riverwalk. My only critique was the door to the bathroom in my room. It did not close all the way. Other than that, the room was a 10/10.
Great facility
I was in town for a conference, and the location of property was very convenient. I could walk to the Convention Center. Also there were many opportunities for dining and shopping within walking distance. Hotel was clean and neat. I ordered food from the bar and it was very good for a fair price. Overall my stay was comfortable and pleasant.
Only good if your not going to be in your room!
Not so good - Upon arrival they informed us that they had moved us to the Marriott across the street without notice. We had already parked and brought our bags inside and then learned that we had to go to the other hotel. I had booked a room with a balcony - we got a regular room, no balcony and much lower quality than what I booked. Hotel lobby is fine and updated - but the room was in need of an upgrade. Water damage on the ceiling in the bathroom that was breaking off and had just been painted over. The cable went out and we didn't have tv channels. Glad it was a short trip or I would have moved to a different hotel.
Love the hotel from the valet to the check out everything highly recommended
On site valet is expensive, but there is a much more public parking garage right next door. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a great location to experience the river walk area & Alamodome.
Friendly service and great location.
Had an enjoyable stay at the Marriott San Antonio Riverwalk. Centrally located right on the Riverwalk and a shopping mall across the street. The Alamo was just a few blocks away. It was our first time in San Antonio and it suited our needs perfectly. Staff was very courteous. The property, however, could use a refresh as its interior decor is a little dated (rooms have popcorn ceilings).
great hotel. Prepare for nightly noise
The Hotel was clean, staff were helpful and kind. Perfect to the Riverwalk and the Conference Center. Room was great, comfortable. The only negative is the noise from outside. The area is very noisy. I was on the 18th floor and the noise from street level made it extremely difficult to fall asleep - no windows open. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were difficult. Monday was improved, but not gone. The extreme noise I experienced may have been situational. I suggest ear plugs and a sound machine/app.
The property is fine. The rooms are great. The staff and management leave much to be desired
So clean! Great things around us like shopping and dining. Great walking distance to the cheer competition we were attending at the Alamodome
Everything was great!
Amazing customer services, cleaning and food.
Dirty, cramped, and inhospitable
Room was not vacuumed properly -- chip particles on the ground. Just felt old and dirty. There were no places to fill our water bottles. The staff laughed at us when we asked what vegan options were available at breakfast. Location is good but that was about it.
Great access to the Riverwalk, plus the "destination fee" provided tickets for a Riverwlak boat tour. Luckily we took the tour the last night before all of the holiday lights disappeared! Good breakfasts in the hotel restaurant, again partially funded by the $25/day destination fee.
No free breakfast bar especially when rooms are $500/night.
Purse was stolen at River Center Shopping. Staff gave different information not consistent. Noisy with construction outside on the 11th floor. Bed was hard and lumpy caused sever backache for both parties in the room. Pillows were not adequately stuffed/filled. Limited dining. Tributary breakfast was excellent.
Check out no service carts available for luggage or person to bring automated system was no help
Need a refund please i cancelled this mo ths ago needed it for th 16th not the 9th
The Lobby bathroom was filthy. A public restroom was cleaner. The Cactus Flower restaurant salmon toast was excellent. Our waitress was not personable and did not tell us about the breakfast buffet as an option nor did she answer my questions about what was served at the buffet. I would have ordered that had I known it was an option.
The elevator situation was weird at first but as soon as someone showed us it was easy but we did have to help others with the touchscreen system
Upon arriving the staff was very polite and attentive. We were greeted and checked in easily. Was able to upgrade our room for an additional fee but well worth it. Room was very clean and didn’t see any issues with it. Pricing on parking was quite pricey so I did end up parking in the public parking right next to it and only paid $10 for a day.
Nice and clean but dated property. Nice location on the river walk. Friendly staff
Very old hotel service was good
My son and I stayed here while in SA for a band competition in the Alamodome. This is an older property, so I was concerned that it might be smoky and run down. Our room still had a popcorn ceiling, but it was very comfortable and looked like it was recently updated. The staff were friendly and professional. We didn’t have time to hunt down restaurants, so we ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The food and service at the bar and in the restaurant were surprisingly good, and the prices were reasonable. The lobby was small given the size of the property, but there are still places to sit and they have a good little coffee shop with breakfast items to go. The location is excellent and we loved being able to walk to the Alamodome and being right on the river walk. It was loud outside on Saturday night, and we could hear some noise from our room, but not enough to prevent a good night’s rest! We would stay here again.
Excellent service. Clean Hotel. Staff was very professional.
Very clean
Lots to walk too
Perfect place for Dia de Los Muertos festivities Never needed the car, all short walk. Many many options for eating and shopping near by.
The front desk receptionist was efficient but not overly friendly. The room was relatively clean but smelled musty. No real extra amenities other than a 7.00 bottle of water.
Marriot Riverwalk could be a great place to stay with a professional renovation.
Our room was very noisy!
The Destination Guide was an above average benefit!
I was disappointed the room wasn’t properly cleaned before I checked. Housekeeping left a previous guests food in the fridge. I was concerned for the rest of the stay about what other items were not properly cleaned. I expected better from this hotel.
This property is dishonest. They hit you with $55 to park. Then a $25 resort fee that I guess you get something for but super confusing what that is. The elevators are the stupidest thing I’ve ever encountered. It’s a nice hotel that gets in its own way by being greedy and overly gimmicky. I will never stay here again.
It was a very comfortable stay and close to all amenities.
Didnt like the fact that reservation was made 2 months in advance and the type of room requested wasnt available. Requested a river view with balcony and it wasnt available even if it was available at time of reservation.
The staff was very friendly and very helpful. It was just enjoyable time just being there.
It was close to everything.
It’s good. But I’m not staying anywhere with “destination fees” anymore.
Very nice place
It was amazing. Location was on spot! Wheelchair accessible. Great view from balcony. Very close to the boat. Will be back for sure.
Great Location
Great location in the riverwalk. The room was clean and nice. We enjoyed our stay.
Overrated
Over everything was great. Some restaurants in area not so good. But over all 4.5 stars
It was right on the river walk and the mall. It had very nice rooms and amenities
You can see the river!
Too much street noise late into the night for sleeping.
Just okay..
Good location but service is poor. Rooms very small and cluttered.
The whole experience was horrible. Could not get into hotel past midnight because the access to hotel was blocked. Could not park on site and spent more than hour outside the room because of the faulty automatic lock
It was great!
Loved how clean everything was just wished we had more tv channels to watch when we were in our room. Other than that loved my room and my view.
Good
I had a great stay with my family. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, everything is so clean and well maintained and you are just atop of the riverwalk. I sure will stay again when I go back to San Antonio.
Great property. I have stayed here and few times and love it every single time.
We had a great stay nice room clean , right in the heart of everything very accommodating
Fine as expected
Fine as expected
Staff is great
Who charges for Wi-Fi?
Hotel stay was good. They let me check in early because of my early flight so I got to spend extra time in the room. Great location. This was my first Marriott stay though and was disappointed that Wi-Fi is no included. And I couldn’t help but stare at the $6 bottle of water in my room.
Beautiful property and excellent service
The room was small ,and the room would not cool down ,felt damp even though the stat read 68
Too much travel
The hotel needs a remodel windows lobby bar area, very dated
The staff very friendly, Live entertainment was good and good food at restaurant.
Room was clean. Close proximity to Riverwalk and other areas of interest.
Great view
