The building is getting old, and there is a stench/smell all over the hotel. The carpet in the walk ways needs to be changed as a matter of urgency
There is nice place
Generally and overall the staff are helpful and respectful. Apart from one female receptionist, when we called requesting milk for our 2 year old ( who was very ill), her only concern was the bill. My wife told her we will pay at check out but she insisted we pay cash at 3am! I mean its not like we were running away or avoiding paying 600 rupees!

Great hotel
First off, they have world-class customer service! We stayed in an executive level room, and the service we experienced in the executive lounge with Areej and Faysal is second to none! These two deserve awards! My biggest fear was taking a cab in Karachi. The car rental staff Maaz and Arif eased all of our concerns and provide us with some very reliable drivers and fantastic vehicles! Special shout out to Raheem! The man picked us up from the airport, took us to many and fulfilled all my mom’s wishes even by taking her to her old neighbourhood of Nazimabad! Thank you so much for giving my mom those memories. The restaurant staff, especially at breakfast. These guys fulfilled one of my wishes, including having sheermaal and taftaan for breakfast!! Staying here feels like visiting family. I mean it the hospitality is second to none. The only issue we had was the original room we were provided… Had someone smoking cigarettes on the floor. It was resolved by moving us to a different floor… but it’s concerning that it was a non-smoking floor, and this was allowed to carry on. Having said that, I will definitely stay here again!

All that glitters is not gold
On the surface, the Marriott Karachi seems like a great hotel. However, upon closer scrutiny, there are several issues with this hotel. I had called ahead to request airport shuttle pick up. However, at the airport, I was told by a Marriott representative who ran the shuttle, that reservations had canceled my request for pick up without any explanation. At the hotel, there were several major issues. While the room was clean, the towels were extremely rough -- almost unusable. Two, I requested laundry service but no one was sent to collect clothes from my room. Three, the quality of food at the Nadia cafe for the breakfast buffet leaves much to be desired. Finally, and most significantly, I had explicitly told the front desk when I was checking in that I would be paying the bill in cash. They still used my credit card for a hold, and told me that the hold would be lifted when I was checking out. On the day of checking out, I went to reception to ask for my bill so that I could bring the cash to make the payment. When I arrived with the cash, the reception desk told me that my credit card had already been charged. They then said that a refund had been issued and that there would be no issues. So, I went ahead and paid in cash. It has now been almost 3 weeks and the charge is still on my credit card. I have paid for the hotel stay twice! The hotel needs to be upgraded for better maintenance and needs a more competent staff.
Terrible cleaning
Bathroom were not cleaned properly, toilet bowl yellow, soap on the sink without wrapped, old soap was put in. shower door wouldn’t close. Water from shower would splash on the floor outside. Room safe wouldn’t operate , called front desk 4 times to fix it. Talked to the manager, he said he will look in to it.
This is an okay hotel despite its rankings and ratings. Breakfast is not impressive at all, specially if you stay for more than a couple of days. People are nice and courteous.

They picked me from the airport Staff was polite Front desk need lots of training Not to speak swear words in front of guests. Abstain from socializing and joking among themselves…. Literally heard one front desk guy saying chutia and bahanchood to someone. They should be careful what they talk among themselves Gym was horrible, it’s old and broken. I came back to hotel around 6pm after work and was hungry…. A guy was giving fruits into other rooms ….. I asked and he refused and told me that I have to call front desk to get the fruits in my room. I have stayed in other hotels and have found the staff here rude and crude. Please train them and gym needs overhaul Otherwise experience was OK. Since there price is higher then other nearby hotels was expecting better service
At the time of check-in, they asked credit card for security deposit which is normal, but when checked out they did not withdraw the deposit amount from my credit card. Also it was fully paid reservation, but they attempted the room rates from my credit card again.
Disgustingly dirty!
Filthy, smelly, disgustingly dirty. 2 star hotel. Operated under Italian/German general manager who should resign or must be fired for running this low standard property.
Property is in poor shape. It has rained in Karachi and the whole hotel is leaking, carpets are soaking wet and there is a terrible musty smell all through the hotel. Food is mediocre at best, and same food recycled each day. This hotel is nowhere close to the standard I would expect of Marriott.
Understandable due to the monsoon seasons and heavy rains property water damaged. I believed they should at least entrance road repaired because that was awful
Well the stay wasn’t that great due to lots of untrained employees. The hallway carpets were dirty, lobby carpets were wet due to roof leaking. My online requests from Hotel.Com booking wasn’t full fill. My overall stay was fair not good. Regards

I stayed fir a single day at karachi marriott and found ut the best hotel if comparing with others best like PC, Movenpick etc... Their executive loung food has good variety and pool was also found far better than other hotels in town.

Absolutely horrible stay with so called 4 star hotel. Terrible checkin process . 20 minutes to get my room key/fob (3/10). Room- 1980’s room, old carpet with stains (2/10) Service - Called AYS (at your service) - was put on hold for 3-4 minutes, no one is there to pick your call, finally when they picked up they had to transfer me to another station, same thing 2-3 minutes hold, call bounced back and I asked them to call me back. Bathroom phone extension doesn’t work ! Overall, below average , no where near 4 star.

I stayed for 8 days and booked through expedia. On check in around mid night i was told that I have to show them email showing my confirmation as they did not have access to online booking at night. So it took some time to get to the room. The hotel and the rooms look dated, clean but dated. There is more than enough staff and often it looked like that there are more employees than actual guests. It appears every employee wants to be tipped for just passing by them. Breakfast was plentiful but same every day. I checked out 1 day early well before the check out time and I was told to contact expedia to have my bill adjusted by the hotel staff. When I contacted expedia I was told they will email the hotel. Till this days more than 10 days out I have not received my refund. Although I had paid for my stay through expedia but they got my credit card on check in and put money hold for an amount more then my entire stay.

Total lack of hygene, I found hairs in the bed, on pillows even on the restaurant table place-mat. Totally not up to Marriot standards anymore.
Excellent serviced. Everyone was so helpful. Morning breakfast was fantastic. Lots of great amenities and we really enjoyed our time . We will always stay at Marriott when ever we will go back to karachi.
There is no environment. Food was a solid average at the very best. People probably like it for very short stays. I usually book the Pearl Continental and will probably go back to that next time.
Almost satisfactory
The hotel staff is extremely courteous and polite. They make your stay great. The hotel property is quite dated. The rooms and washrooms need renovation. The buffet breakfast was great. I had a great experience when it comes to dealing with the staff. Taking care of the property and upgrading would definitely give it 5 stars

Guys watch it , The cleaning guy stole my wallet from the luggage , he was the only guy we allowed to enter the room in our absence - hotel manager was avoiding the interrogation and kept asking us to check the room when the wallet was inside the luggage all the time we never took the wallet with us because it was heavy due to credit cards and stuff so we kept only one credit card and Cash in pocket and left wallet in the luggage . Marriot hotel staff was absolutely doging the responsibility when it was obvious that the cleaning old man was the alone cleaning the room. Be careful
OK hotel to stay
The stay was ok. Did not face any issues except at the check in time.
Terrible staff, hard to track their lies! Not responsing international calls. I needed to cancel one of my reservation. Firstly they accepted, then thet rejected. Playing games with customers. This old and dirty looking hotel is not recommended. Worst customer service ever! Untrustable staff including their managers!

5 star hotel by it more importantly 5 star service. Sama, Taha, Hammad, Danish at the front desk made the stay even more comfortable. They were eager to help whether it was to book a car for local travel or to transfer to airport. Offer complimentary late check out to accommodate my meeting schedule and flight time. Well done
Old carpets and some furniture have strains and looked dirty
Everything was great - especially staff hospitality. In particular Mohammed Iqbal and Mohammed Suhail of housekeeping were fantastic.
When we were trying to check into the hotel after 21 hrs of flight they told us we could not bcuz we were early, our flight got in 5 am, we called the hotel 3 days prior to let them know we will be checking in at 7am and we were told no problem but they harassed us

The stay was just ok. no amazing or not too bad. But the SPA or the Health club is to good to be used.

It was really nice to stay in Marriot, but I service was amazing. All staff were amazing specially in Executive lounge Zeenat and Asif were so helpful. Breakfast was delicious.
The description mentioned bath tub in the deluxe room but there was none. Description needs to be updated.
Incredible service and location. But the hotel is old and it shows. Its the best hotel in Karachi - but I would say it needs a major updating. The room we got had a bathroom door that did not close.
Good business hotel stay
Room was comfortable and clean. Absolutely no complaints. Security was good (fast) and carpark area outside the hotel secured area mean driver/car had a good place to wait. Breakfast and business lounge of good standard. Don’t know about the neighborhood but traffic out was never too bad for the days I stayed there.
3 night business trip to Marriott Karachi
Marriott Hotel is one the best pick for foreign traveller to Karachi. It have 3 dining choices, and the location is great and the rooms are comfortable. Cleanliness of rooms can be improved though but it is decent.

Stay at this property for five nights large family we had eight rooms. All staff at the Restaurant was extremely helpful and polite. They went above and beyond for our satisfaction and made it a pleasant experience.
