Difficult to get around in the building, layout was confusing

Another terrific stay

Incredibly good set up with the full kitchen and proximity to gondola. Always our favorite place to stay in South Lake Tahoe.

The cleaning staff was amazing. The rooms were cleaned daily and the trash removed daily. The front desk was pleasant and helpful. What a great location to enjoy all that Southern Lake Tahoe has to offer.

Best placed property for skiing at Heavenly.

This property exceeded our expectations. The kitchen area was so well kitted out with everything you could want for a self catering stay. The apartment was really spacious and comfortable. It was so easy to go skiing in the morning as the gondola station is a few steps outside the hotel.

The room itself was nice and had everything we needed. However, the bed and pillows were some of the most uncomfortable that i’ve ever experienced during a stay somewhere. It made it hard to fall and stay asleep during my stay.

This is a great property all year long. Very nice room and lots of places to go within walking or short driving distance. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Was in a handicap room, the shower curtain did not go all the way to floor & bathroom partially flooded everytime I took a shower

Location is prime!!!!

The only reason why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 Is because the bed sinks quite a bit and Is rather uncomfortable but everything else was perfect. Location is prime and some of the best housekeepers I’ve ever encountered. Front desk staff was very sweet. I didn’t smell cigarettes at all like many have said. It’s just an overall great hotel in a great location! Is it over the top fancy? No but who cares when there’s so much to do in heavenly!! Tip: I used the South Lake Tahoe Airporter to get to and from RNO. It dropped me off at Harrah’s which is a 10 minute walk and it’s a beautiful, peaceful walk with a lot to see. Picks up at Harrahs, too! Its $60 round trip which isn’t bad considering how long the ride is.

The hotel rooms were very clean and the location is very beatiful!

Older hotel that smells like cigarette smoke all the rooms and the lobby need to be remodeled. I expected more for having a Marriott on the side of the building. These large hotel chains need to step up their game

The location is great in the middle of shops and restaurants. The property itself does need an upgrade. The mattress sinks in, the pillows are too high and hard. I would recommend bringing your own pillows. The 4th floor smelled like fish 2 days straight. We would go around to avoid the smell. Also one of the jacuzzi’s didn’t work. Overall they need to put some money back into the hotel.

I like the convenience of the location and close to the lake, casino, and shopping areas. Pool, jacuzzi and saunas were clean. I wouls stay at this place again.

Great propert.

Had a studio, large room with a fully supplied kitchen. Very clean with a comfy bed but bring your own pillows if you can. We were in the 5th floor overlooking the pool. It was nice and quiet…overall loved this room. Have stayed here before and this room was bigger and in a better, quieter location. Walkable to everything.

Beautiful area

The property referred us to the on site spa. Was told that they highly recommend the spa. This is not a spa- this is a dirty cheap shop that claims to do massage. Requested the hot stone massage and all the massage therapist did was complain about how hot the stones were and she was unable to touch them. This was such a unprofessional place, they changed the location of our masage 10 minutes before our services the only way I found out was because I called to confirm. Had us fill out paperwork, which the therapist never ever went over with us. the location is in a back room of a store which is loud. I called the marriott and was told they would call me bck which never happend.

I stayed from July 28th to 30th. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. However, the following 3 problems were what I encountered: 1. There is a smell of cigarette smoke in the room. I asked to change rooms but was refused. They said there were no other rooms. 2. The bed is too old. The center of the bed was bent. 3. Only valet parking is allowed, and sometimes you may have to wait 10 to 20 minutes for return/pick-up. As you know, this is not a cheap hotel. Definitely need to improve problems #1 and 2 that I had.

Enjoyed our stay! Staff was great and property was a lot of fun with the events they had. Great location as well!

Staff was very courteous. Completed check in in few minutes followed by valet parking done in few minutes. Suite was clean, everything as expected.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, and allowed us a late check-out which was a life saver. The location can't be beat and the valet parking was very convenient. The view from our room wasn't great, and since the windows were mostly covered by trees the rooms were quite dark our entire stay. This was fine, maybe just not ideal.

10 am checkout put us 2 hours ahead of schedule. Had i known at booking , i would of planned accordingly.

This is our 4th time staying at this resort. We love the location, the pool area and how well maintained the place is. Both mine and my wife’s complaint this time was the bed itself and pillows, we have never slept worse in a hotel then this trip… besides that, everything else was great.

Valet was a little pricey but worth it, we walked to the brewery and got some food and used the discount provided by the property which was nice.

Toilet too low. All else was wonderful!

Location, location, location! You couldnt beat the location at the bottom of the gondola. Base camp pizza is awesome. The price was reasonable considering the location. Overall, a wonderful experience.

What a great location. Walkable to everything including the gondola. Restaurants at every corner. Perfect stay and location for a ski getaway weekend. Staff and as super friendly and helpful. The snowshoe excursion was so great and Kristen our guide made it so much fun.

No one at this property is customer centric. The customer service was horrible. Step out to Heavenly property and the customer service is AMAZING. Inside this property and they are short, abrupt, and rude. They aren’t even interested in trying to make the experience one that would be enjoyable. Every conversation was what they couldn’t do or wouldn’t do. This is the second time we’ve been to Tahoe and we wanted to stay near the Gondola but other than proximity, it wasn’t worth it. Marriott should be checking this property, time share or not.

Nice, but likely wouldn't do it again.

The property itself is very nice. That said, not worth what we paid. We were only given a queen bed and for the cost would have thought we'd have a King. We requested it and the property was booked solid. Our room was also not ready when we arrived. The valet service was good and well worth it if you're checking in for a single night or two. Not dealing with the parking zoo of that area is a god send. The phone valet system they use also works really well. That said, our next time will be a VRBO most likely as the value just isn't there from our view

Relax, Recharge, Replay

Location is excellent. Amazing places to shop, eat, and play. Pool and Hot Tubs are spacious and relaxing after a day of skiing. The room was much larger than I had expected, and my friend and I took full advantage of the large living room, kitchen, balcony, double sink with jaccuzi tub bathroom, and on and on. This suite was sweet!

Great place for a ski vacation

Great place to stay when skiing at Heavenly. Clean, comfortable rooms. Nice property. Hot tub was great after skiing. Fun being in the village with all the stores, bars, and restaurants. The gondola is literally just outside the door. Do note that Heavenly is very quick to close the gondola if the winds pick up even a bit. There is a shuttle over to the other base area, but the line for the shuttle gets long very quickly and this because a real pain. The only thing negative about the resort is the $35 per night charge to park your car. Is that really necessary? But we will be back because it's so nice to be right there.

Great cozy stay for family

Beautiful property right in the heart of Heavenly Village with easy access to gondolas if you plan to snowboard/ski. We stayed in a one bedroom which was a great size, and included a full kitchen well stocked. The tub was huge and had great jets. My only two complaints are the bed was a bit too firm for my liking (didn’t feel like a true Marriott heavenly bed) and the fireplaces have a timer on them that go off after 30 mins. We also had an issue with housekeeping not bringing up a pack n play for several hours. It took 4 phone calls for it to finally arrive. Otherwise, great property in a great location and I highly recommend it for families. P.S. the pool is heated and the jacuzzi is running in the winter, even in the snow. Bring your suit to enjoy!

Got studio for handicapped, though I have made reservations for a normal room

It was a really beautiful place. We had the room overlooking the pool but it was amazing for the 2 of us. We had a large bed with a full kitchen with all the kitchenwares provided, even down to a rice cooker I think! 5/5 stars for me on everything. There were a lot of shops on the perimeter of the residence inn. It made our short 2 days 1 night trip a whole lot memorable, thank you Marriott!

Nice hotel-Terrible valet!

The Hotel is great, had a major altercation with the valet as he almost ran over me in the unloading zone. He then told me I should not be unloading under the canopy that I should be unloading in the rain on the sidewalk. Very bad experience with the valet very good experience with the hotel.

Great hotel,and location nice pool saunas and gym big comfortable rooms. Was not a fan of valet parking only they were short staffed and long wait to get and drop your car.

The property is in the perfect location in South Lake Tahoe. There are dining options, shopping and you are walking distance to the lake, skiing and the casinos. The property is clean and our suite has everything we needed. I would highly recommend this Marriott property for anyone visiting South Lake Tahoe.

Heavenly Stay

Lovely property in the heart of Heavenly Village. Many shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The one bedroom unit was comfortable with well equipped kitchen. The large pool area has two jacuzzis. The one downside is there is no view of the Lake from the property.

Amazing hotel - however, the pull down bed had some problems with the door hinge. Excellent otherwise.

the cabin room / suite that we booked was great and very spacious

The room was great but I was very disappointed on no balcony and looks like every room but ours had one. I did wish there was at least a bar or something inside the hotel. Otherwise was great with a great location and loved the 2nd bathroom and like a small apartment. We really enjoyed it.

Friendly staff and rooms are clean and safe. Parking here is a nightmare. Valet only and if they are busy you are waiting 20 mins to check or receive your car.

My husband and I had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Marriott in Heavenly Village. Our Villa was extremely comfortable with the highest quality put into every detail. Each representative of the Marriott was warm and congenial, they really do have the best staff. Our surroundings made us feel as if we were in a quaint little European village with an abundance of restaurants and shops to choose from. We hope to enjoy future stays at this wonderful little paradise .

First Class all the way! Employees were ALL so cheerful & helpful! Can’t wait to return!!!
