Love the views, love the friendliness of the staff, really love how efficiently it runs.

No electricity when we arrived. Dark hall ways, front desk was a little abrupt. We tried to navigate around in the dark in the bathrooms and bedroom.. they didn’t offer any assistance even though we could t use anything.

Solo Sunset Views

This was a great staycation… from the friendly staff, clean room, ocean views, and yummy food. This was the stay I needed.

I love the location. Reception staff was very helpful. Especially the Young lady at reception. But property needs update and a lot technical issues. During my check in first room I checked in did not have fridge nor remote control. I waited for the engineers but no one showed up. They changed my room but I could not get into second room . )) Third room TV did not work . Fourth room everything seemed to be working and management gave me upgraded to marina view room and gave credited me for 50 usd for food and drink . Which was very nice of them. To Make long story short, check in was disappointing because of technical issues.. I hope that technical issues are sorted soon. And I hope to be back soon. Many thanks

Our Marina Del Rey Stay

It was very nice, went during Christmas holiday, it was decorated beautifully. The staff was very helpful. Only complaint I would make is the bathroom we had was very small and compact. And needed to request a makeup mirror. We managed just fine. Great location

I stay at MDT hotel often, and have really enjoyed this hotel over the last year or so of coming here. Salt is a bonus although I feel they need some type of help w the in room dining option. Often nobody answers the phone and I’ve had quite a few times where the soup was warm not hot, coffee wasn’t brought up within even 20 mins, but overall I have had some great meals from in room dining, just needs some attention I believe. Nancy is my favorite at the hotel, she’s always doing what she can to help the guest. Never disappoints! Also I had a pleasure to meet and be served coffee / breakfast this morning by Brenda. She is a hard worker! Was quick and on top of what she offered. I will continue leaving reviews for updates! Keep it up guys! Will see you soon!

Wonderful hotel, fantastic harborside location

Beautiful, comfortable hotel with a lovely vibe. Rooms are wonderful. Great onsite restaurant (Salt) with harborside dining and awesome view. Friendly staff, excellent customer service. Great location, ditch the car and walk to coffee at Alfred, lots of dining options (vegan, sushi, ShakeShack), Trader Joe’s and shopping.

Fantastic service. Quiet. Definitely worth it! Would absolutely return.

I wish I could say good things about the Hotel. We travel to LA often for family and we found the location perfect for now and future visits. The check in process was painful as we had to wait until 4, after traveling all night. It was 4:20 until they found a room for us. The furniture was pretty beat up, WiFi is awful, and you have to request room cleaning. The bright spot was the valet staff who were courteous and friendly. So disappointed! I wanted to love this place!!

Patio lounge & pool is such a vibe

Staff was friendly and helpful. The vibe of the area is away from the boardwalk business but close enough to everything. Room was well kept. The restaurant was lovely inside and offered poolside meals, great menu. Highlight of the hotel is definitely the patio, pool and the marina view. Safe place to stay if you're a solo traveler. Feels more like a pocket of relaxation than anything else. Would stay here again.

Everyone one at the hotel was great and being on the water is always a good thing.

My stay here was average. Staff not very friendly, especially Valet person. Did not feel welcome.

Hotel marina del Rey

The hotel was nice enough but the room smelled bad/old and it wasn’t very clean. There were marks on the doors and walls that showed that it wasn’t cleaned well. I’d say it definitely wasn’t bad but for the price it was just passable.

Property is aging. Expensive . Fire alarms blasted all morning. Very annoying , no warning of testing prior to or when booked.

They did not explain that it would be very difficult to sleep in the morning because of alarm testing. I would like a refund!!!

Very nice place, especially with a room on marina side and bright morning sun light

The rooms are poorly cleaned. There are stains on the ceiling from the leaking roof. There are dead insects in the shower and on the walls. There is only one robe in the double room. I had to go three times until they brought it. There are no towels near the pool. I also had to ask and wait about 40 minutes, the dirty one got an infection. Good restaurant, bar, view of the yachts $ 400 per night is too expensive for such a place plus paid Parking

Had a couple of issues during our day however they were remedied very quickly staff for very receptive

Hotel was amazing, staff friendly, the area was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Close enough to places to eat, and beautiful views of the ravine. Loved the heated pool, and hot tub, and woke up in the morning to coffee and views of the sea lions on boats. Loved it

Loved our short stay. Enjoyed sitting out by the pool while we waited for our room to be ready. Staff was very accommodating and our harbor view room was lovely and quiet. Enjoyed the balcony with view of the boats

This is a lovely property, with a great restaaurant. The staff was very helpful and kind. I really enjoyed being here and wish I had stayed longer than the one night. Great views, great walking. Not much in the neighborhood, though.

Unsatisfied Night

Booked for one (1) night. Received an upgrade room with Marina view. Had issues with our room. HDMI cable going into the Smart TV was loose and had to resecure the connection to the Smart TV in order to watch TV. Could not pull close the Blackout drapes with pole. Needed to stand on a chair and pull the Blackout drapes closed from the top of the drapes where the railing was. At Midnight, the Smoke Detector started to chirp very loud because the battery was going bad. Had to get on a chair to unplug the Smoke Detector and take the battery out so we could sleep. Batteries should be routinely changed every year so this does not happen. Did not feel like I was on vacation.

Hotel is great! Pool & lounge area are so nice! We got an upgrade to a better view which was lovely, Staff was gracious about holding my bag and allowing me to enjoy the amenities while waiting for my friend to come pick me up. The only negative: required valet service for our car - there just seems to be no reason for this.

Pros: self parking available, good location, good service Cons: shower pressure was too low, blinds were hard to adjust

The front desk personnel were very friendly and one in particular (Ricardo) was very helpful in finding me hotels along the rest of my trip. The room was meticulous and the valet personnel were quick to help you. I loved staying here and booked a night on my return trip.

Great experience with this being our first time traveling to LA

Ended up with a bottom floor.room with.ciews of the parking lot. So nothing special. They were having a pool party with people who were not hotel guests from 1-6pm so we couldnt even get into the pool. When we finally got to go to the pool at 6 it reeked of pee and was filthy. They make you vallet your car for 45$ and give you a qr code to pick your car up when you are ready to leave the property. The qr. Ode didnt work. That is because they were too busy to enter my car into the system. Too busy being just sitting around talking. This happened every time i went to go get my car. They just never bothered to put the car into the system. Just disappointed all aeound with this hotel

Our stay at Marina Del Ray Hotel was amazing! The views, the staff and the surrounding area were great! Will stay here again on our next stay in Cali!

Loved this place; it has all been renovated but still had the old 60's vibe. Room was nice, staff was great and view was spectacular. I would advise though that on Sunday, they have a barbecue (not sure if it's every Sunday) a bit over the top if you are there with family; more of a spring break vibe; saw a lot more than I bargained for! All ended at 6:00 pm and then it all calmed down

This hotel was beautiful! It was central to everywhere we wanted to be in LA! Such a nice place considering it is also not far from the airport! Beautiful setting to have a delicious restaurant downstairs by the marina. It was just gorgeous. Always something fun going on at the hotel like Forks and Film-dining outside while watching a movie! So cool!

Pretty location. Loud pool music and partying kept this old lady up a bit as did the barking seals. I loved seeing the sea lions on the boat docks.

Disappointing

We spent the night after catching the Lila Downs concert in nearby Burton Chace Park. Yes. MDR hotels are expensive due to the location. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this hotel. At 9:30 pm, the film "Ratatouille" was BLARING in the outdoor area right outside our room. We called twice to complain about the volume. The attendant said it would end by 9:45 or 10pm. By 10:30, it was still playing full blast. Other observations: 1. The patio curtains were dirty, stained and frayed, and the hooks seemed broken or off the glider. Patio spaces on the first floor are not private, either. 2. The patio chairs outdoors were rusted. 3. The lower half of the bathroom door had a splash of dark, dried liquid. 4. The pool area looked overcrowded, and the cabana spaces had piles of dirty dishes. If you have a car, know that you are forced to use their valet service at $45 per night. Very inconvenient.

Needs updating but they go a great job with it as is. Staff is great. Food is good. Nice views. Great poolside and fireside spaces to gather a small group outside and hang out.

It’s a very nice hotel with a good restaurant and a beautiful setting at the marina. I had a false start by purchasing Early check-in and then my room was not ready when I arrived despite paying for the early check. They found me a room though, and the staff person took the $70 charge for early check off of my bill. Ultimately, I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel and will stay there again.

It was wonderful rest!!!!I’ll be back definitely!!! The only comment - it is expensive parking near the hotel, $ 45 a day - it is expensive, while 100 meters away public parking 7$ a day.

Needs a lot of cleaning , the room was dirty , the AC was super Noisy . We stayed for 2 nights . The guests next to us left some glasses on front door and nobody picked them for 2 days . Check in was 30 seconds they didn’t share any information about the hotel . The housekeeper rushed us at 10 am to leave the room , when check out was until 12 pm . Not going back for sure !

Beautiful view. Rooms comfortable, if pricy. Hotel older but in great condition. Not much in amenities...basic pool, expensive restaurant. Parking and resort fee steep but relaxing and very pleasant.

Air conditioner didn’t work well so it was a bit stuffy in the room. There was a used towel left in the bathroom and the sink didn’t work very well. Bed was super comfy though.

Dinning services are was not good. Slow Slow and slow. I ask 3 server's ask check and doggie box about 25minite later finally I got.

We spent one night in this hotel. It's a nice hotel unfortunately no one saw fit to tell us, as we checked in, that that very evening a special (and very loud) event was taking place just outside our window. So no "peaceful enjoyment" of our evening...

This property needs updating. Rooms are starting to show wear and tear (faucet leaks, tile missing grout). Not sure what cleaning products are being used, but the smell is overwhelming. It feels like they are trying to mask odors (maybe because they are pet friendly now)? Parking fee is ridiculously high.... Stayed here a few times and this will probably be the last.

nice place to stay for a staycatiom

Very quiet comfortable room with friendly staff. Unfortunately there was a very bad strong cleaning fluid odor in the room that made it smell like a truck stop restroom. Other than the odor the room was very nice. The food at the SALT Restaurant was excellent but the service left a lot to be desired

The property is in an ideal location - quiet and can walk to shops, restaurants. Beautiful pool area overlooking marina. The service all around was exceptional - valet, front desk, manager, restaurant, bar, engineer - plenty of friendly, helpful staff around. Highly recommend.

First timers, would come back

We decided last minute to upgrade to a suite for a $120 fee. We weren’t disappointed with the location and size of the room. We were however disappointed with the condition of the room; carpet, furniture, etc. It was pretty beat up and clearly enjoyed a lot. However the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was very large and nice

The property was nice & clean. The staff was great. Food service at the bar was really slow, it was NOT the bartenders fault, her cocktail skills were wonderful!! The cooks took 40 mins to get french fries. The A/C went out in our room, they quickly changed us to an upgraded room since they were almost at capacity. Parking fees are a little high $45 per day. Definitely would stay again.

Lovely location and hotel

Wonderful, clean hotel with lovely rooms overlooking the marina. Nice walk to Venice beach or to just chill in the bar or by the pool. The restaurant is stunning - very expensive - but lovely. Staff very helpful.

This is a good venue for families and pet owners. If you are a couple looking for a weekend getaway, you may not be interested in sharing the hot tub and swimming pool with children.

Did not have the best experience when we got in the room the ac was on 74 I turned it down to 69 wasn’t working called they sent someone to look at it he set it to 65 said wait 15 min we waited a hour and it was still at 74 called 2 more times and they never came to fix

Very clean room, very spacious. It’s right by the docks. They did charge a parking fee of $45 per day which is not bad but I don’t see why they can’t waive that parking fee for hotel guests. Staff was very helpful, nice. Will recommend to anyone to stay there

Great hidden spot in Marina Del Rey. Lovely pool and hottub and great restaurant on site (insider tip, they will serve you restaurant food poolside). Cute room, comfy beds. Expensive valet parking , but that’s pretty common on the westside. Great value for money othervise. We came down from the valley for a mini vacation and would stay here again for sure. Thanks for having us!
