Ms. Faye took care of me and made my experience the best. She was very helpful reassuring and informative about everything and anything I asked. ASK FOR MS. FAYE
Property had flash flood, destroyed my rental car, AIG rental insurance is refusing to cover the cost of the damage of the rental vehicle. Margaritaville refused to acknowledge that they allowed people to park in a flash flood area. 24 vehicles were destroyed. Vacation was ruined, Margaritaville said nothing. Now I am stuck with how to figure out how I am going to pay for the rest of the vehicle since AIG insurance wont cover the full cost. I was there from Nov. 9 to the 13th of 2024. Also the place is located in the slums of St. Thomas. Not safe at all. Roaches in the apartment, Muggy and smells of mold.
Truly the best location in St. Thomas, but pricey!
You're gonna pay *way* more than other hotels/resorts/airbnbs in the area, but you're also gonna feel very safe and have one of the best and more private views on St. Thomas. The private beach isn't as nice as the others in the area you can drive to, but nice for a morning walk. The pools are unheated - beware! - and there is no hot tub which is the only thing that could've made this place better. That said, the room was extremely clean and well appointed, especially with kitchen items you need to cook and eat, and it was in such a good location. Highly recommend staying on this side of the island. They try to sell you a timeshare, but you can turn down the presentation of course. Any time we needed anything (extra blankets, more sugar packets), they would drive it right up. Lots of roosters, chickens, and cats on the property (though I wish they could take better care of the cats and work with the local Humane society). Overall, a great spot and highly recommend.
I’m a huge Jimmy Buffett fan and I absolutely love the place. D pool the lodging the food was awesome.
We really enjoyed our time here. Our only complaint is that there is no beach on site. Fortunately, Coki beach is within walking distance, and there are a couple others available by shuttle from the site. Food, drinks, pools, service all were excellent.
Liked the layout of the room, but saw 2 roaches in room!!!Had to buy everything including water, concierge did not provide information on shuttles! Surcharges on restaurants,no creamer provided for coffee! Niesha was the only one who responded to our concerns! Most of the golf cart drivers were great especially Kbea and Snieder!!!
Staff is very friendly
Very clean staff very helpful with directions
Well kept and clean
Very nice property, easy drive to any location on the island from this resort. Easy access to ferry service over to St. John's. Easy drive to our multiple excursions adventures on St. Thomas. Great staff, well prepared dining options. We really enjoyed our stay at this resort.
Beautiful landscaping. Easy access to Coki beach.
My girlfriend and I just spent 10 days here at Margaritaville and we loved every minute of it. All of the employees were extremely nice and well spoken. We also enjoyed the restaurant/bars that were available. We spent most our time at coki beach which was gorgeous and just walking distance. All and all we had a blast and will be returning in the future.
Great rooms and live entertainment
The property is nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Beach is not swimmable
Best relaxing vacation I have ever had.
Margaritaville - St Thomas
The HVAC didn’t function correctly. Neither of the exhaust fans in the bathrooms worked. No restaurant choices and food was mediocre at best. I won’t go back. Beach was poorest resort beach I have ever experienced.
Loved everything about this property!
Our stay at the resort was top notch. Upon checkin our room wasn't ready so they provided vouchers for the restaurant while we waited. Our condo was on the hilltop so there were stairs but many people used the free golf cart rides. The condo had nice beds and space as well as a full kitchen. The margarita machine in the room was used every day! There was a nice deck overlooking the bay. Wristbands were used as room keys making it very convenient. There was a nice beach on site but not really for swimming. Another restaurant was just a short walk along the water and we went there twice. There are two pools on site. One near the beach that was spacious and with great views. The other was a hilltop view with a swim up bar and we enjoyed 2 for 1 drinks during happy hour. The resort had daily schedules for free shuttles to Coki Beach and Sapphire Beach which we went to each beach twice. Coki Beach is an easy 1 mile walk and leads to Coral World Exhibit where you can do swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, and underwater fish observing. Reasonable prices. Margaritaville also had an onsite coffee shop, beach shop, and game area. They also had daily activities including bingo, sip and paint, bands, karaoke, free drinks. Shopping shuttles had a small $. We did venture down to the main road and went to a convenience store, coffee shop, and Chesters chicken. Not real easy to get around walking with no sidewalk. Do the timeshare presentation and go on the Snorkel Cat day trip.
Loved the condo with free washer and dryer in the building. Golf carts take you from parking lot to your room. Staff very friendly. Great view of mountains and beach from balcony. Both pools beautiful. Beach is pretty but does not have the clear blue water that the other beaches have. Across the street is another beach with the turquoise water. Easy to walk to through the resort.
We thought the property was nice and our view was spectacular. The people that worked for the hotel for the hotel were great. The negative Is the food and restaurant on property is not related to the hotel and it is very lacking of options. Many of the food selection on the menu is not even available and very hard to get any type of fresh food options. We had hoped that the marketplace would have grab-and-go items as advertised and smoothies. Pat, they did not. Definitely wouldn't stay here without stopping at a grocery store prior. We found many off-property restaurants that we had a taxi driver take us to each day. Joseph was the best part of the trip! He would call and confirm our rides. If you need a taxi service, I would highly recommend Kelly's taxi and ask for Joseph.
Great
Can’t wait to stay here again!
Very clean rooms, gorgeous manicured property, very safe and super friendly staff! The only issue we had with our room was the bathroom sink was clogged for our entire 4 night stay.
Clean rooms, prompt services (except for restaurant). Surprising lack of music around property.
Very disappointed to learn of bacteria in water in front of beach, which explains why no one was swimming
Staff was great throughout the stay
Taxi to-from Airport. Bring cash. We prebooked Viator $160, expensive. Return taxi are cash only, we shared a cab with 8x $24 each. ATM on site. Check in/out fast. Its a TimeShare Room are condo type, no services. Since they don't clean floors until you leave there are cockroaches! Small frig. Microwave. plates. forks etc Lots of STAIRS 75 uphill to get up to your room! Pool 2x. None is heated. 70F very cold. A unit owner told me the water heathers were broken for some times. Margaritaville Front BEACH is NOT a beach for swimming. Its a Boat Bay. The water is brown/greenish. No one swim in it. Not much seaweed Jan-12-18, 2025. No smell. Great sail boat tours, a must. Coki Beach 5 min walk uphill-downhill, narrow street with fast coming cars. Beautiful Beach, short, narrow, BUT ... Large Cruise ships Norwegian, Carnival, bring daily over 500 tourists, it gets PACKED! And they drink. Saffire Beach same, 6 min drive, longer, narrow, it gets packed with Cruise ship tourists, daily. They arrive 9am, back to their ship 2h30, 3h30, so around 4PM the beach is quiet. On site facilites. Wihtout car you are pretty much stuck on Margaritaville resort. They have a coffee shop with not much, a restaurant expensive&slow, next to a bar with better service nice staff, and walking Sun & Sea Bar, our favorite, not part of Margaritavile, excellent service. OCEAN-180 expensive not part of Margaritaville but we liked it.
Very nice area. Staff is good but had to wait for the golf carts to go places. Sometimes took awhile. Room was awesome and clean.
Great
We had three rooms in our group in building 14 All the rooms had a damp musty smell that we could not ventilate. The phone in my room did not work. The A/C In my sons room would not shut off and they were cold at night with my grandchildren
The property grounds and pools were beautiful
Great place
The resort reeked of marijuana almost everywhere. We were traveling as a family. Not only was the smell awful, but it was terrible to have to expose our 2-year old son to this horrible smell and explain to him that we were staying with drug addicts. Our fire alarm kept going off in the room too, including at night. We never got any rest. We suspect people were smoking marijuana in their room and kept setting off the smoke alarms. Beautiful beach and views and clean and well maintained rooms. Our son also enjoyed all the cats, chickens, rosters, and lizards on the property and outside our room. Unfortunately, the smell of marijuana everywhere and fire alarms going off every hour really ruined everything though.
It’s ok but not as nice as Riu chain
Rooms are spacious and clean, staff are polite and friendly, facilities are in good condition. But dining and transportation options are limited.
Everything was amazing just wish there was a better beach there. Customer service was awesome. Golf cart drivers were amazing and funny.
The staff looks and acts tense. The restaurant service is terrible slow and uncoordinated. The cart drivers have no consideration for pedestrians. You have to make sure not to be run over by them.
It's a beautiful and well maintained property. All of the staff are friendly and very informative. The room was very clean and had everything you'd ever need. We really enjoyed our visit and the people we met.
The grounds are incredibly beautiful. Most of the staff were provided exceptional customer service. There's only one restaurant and you must take a taxi to get to others.
On the first night of our stay our room had 3 roaches. We asked to switch rooms and we were told it was not possible at the time and we were never granted the room change nor given the roach spray we requested. The shelves in the coffee shop were consistently bare. They were also out of items such as coffee, cream cheese, eggs, bacon, bagels and lids from day to day. Breakfast at the main restaurant ended at random times each day. Once we were told 11 and still were not served breakfast at 10:30 because it was “over.” The weekend breakfast buffet was $45 per person which seemed pretty expensive for breakfast. There are no housekeeping options. At one point we waited 10 hours for towels to be provided. Fresh pool towels were also hard to get because sometimes they would run out. When we first got there we were encouraged to sign up for a 1.5 hr timeshare seminar which tried to get us to buy a time share. We were told that our night time kayak would be covered. However the cards that were holding our spot were charged full price. We were granted cash resort vouchers. If you don’t spend the full amount, you cannot save the voucher with the remainder. It gets thrown out or you are told to scrape together some items from the bare shelves. It was advertised as a beach front hotel and it is not. It has an ocean front view with a beach shuttle.
Good for a short stay. Large clean rooms, no housekeeping, nice pools. Shortage of staff and limited food options.
This property is lacking in customer service and just amenities. Food is horrible and there’s no water in any of the areas around the resort. It feels like a basic hotel rather than resort.
No hot water, only luke warm. Could never get new pool towels, the attendant was either not there or they had no towels. Everything else was great. Quiet, safe, fairly conveniently located to other things on the island if you have a car. The hilltop pool area is absolutely beautiful.
Loved it would re turn in a heartbeat
Where do i start? This is a horrible place to stay. 1. We reached at 6 pm and our room was still not ready. We had to wait 2 additional hours to checkin after a 6 hours flight. 2. The room given did not have the phone working so we had to make international calls to the hotel to call for golf carts or report an issue. 3. They started some motor right outside the room on 1st january at 8 am. They knew that people would be partying on new years eve and sleep and wake up late. When i complained the receptionist disconnected the call saying we can't do anything about it. 4. The restaurant did not accept credit card and did not tell us. We had to go withdraw cash and paid additional charges on that. 5. We had to call multiple times for a golf cart and most of the times no one responded to text or call in the main lobby. 6. The service at the restaurant was so bad that we had to get up to get our food or even cutlery and water. This should be removed as a listing from expedia. Worst hotel ever. I have never experienced this kind of bad hospitality. I DESERVE A REFUND
Called maintenance....no hot water...tried to maintain... but there was also mice/rats...this property is just about the name...dont do it!!!
The restaurant on property was always out of a variety of items, on an already limited menu. They were frequently out of pool towels. Pool area and outside bar area often had dirty plates/glasses laying around on tables and grounds. The best thing about the property was the friendly and helpful staff.
They ran out of certain liquors, out of blow dryers, shuttle service was pitiful. Two pools and I restaurant other than that not much. I’ve traveled a lot but would not recommend this place.
Beautiful property!
Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we hoped for, especially considering the cost (no disrespect to Jimmy Buffet!) The biggest disappointment was the beach. You book a beach vacation expecting to enjoy the beach, right? Well, Pineapple Beach, where the hotel is located, is the dirtiest beach on the island (confirmed by a local guide). It’s not suitable for swimming, so you’re forced to walk to Coki Beach (about a 10-minute walk). This adds extra costs for renting chairs and dealing with an unsafe, single-car road that’s unfriendly to pedestrians—definitely not ideal if you have small kids. Adding to the frustration, the beach was littered with trash—plastic cups, motor oil containers, and all sorts of garbage—right in front of the water sports rental shack. Shockingly, no one made any effort to clean it up. I even picked up a few pieces myself to set an example for my kids, but it was disheartening to see such neglect. On top of that, there’s no room cleaning service. We stayed for over a week, and not once was our room cleaned. When we requested housekeeping, they simply messaged back to say that they don’t offer cleaning services but could send clean sheets and towels if needed. This was our first time in St. Thomas, and while the island itself is beautiful and worth visiting, we’ll definitely choose a different hotel next time. Margaritaville simply didn’t deliver on the basic expectations of a relaxing, convenient beach vacation.
Overall, it was okay. Even though there wasn't sargassum on the beach when we stayed, the beach was very dirty and unusable with trash and broken glass in the sand. Beach is not maintained. Staff was okay - not a lot of smiles or helpfulness. Rooms were nicely equipped and bed was very comfortable. Roosters, chickens, cats, and dogs roam the property. Bring your own pool/beach towels because the resort was consistently out of towels. Restaurant on property was not very good. We ate there the first night, but didn't go back the rest of the week. Hillside pool and Happy Hour were the best parts of the trip.
The accommodations were nice and well-stocked. Fun organized activities- Bingo, karaoke night. Very small gym and pools. No hot tub or tennis courts or pickleball courts. Sometimes had to wait a while for carts to come by to take you to your room. Parking can be difficult. Cafe was mediocre.
Would love to go again. Wished there was more places to eat.
Don’t waste your money!!
This was the worse place. When we arrived since there was a group of Asian, they already assumed we are with them. Which I told them I am NOT. We asked extra towels since they didn’t cleaning till we leave. We never got our extra towels. When we went to pool, they didn’t have pool towels for hrs. We just didn’t use it. Also when we ordered some coffee and they double charged and ask them to cancel one and they said they can’t do that. We have to call our credit card to cancel. I even asked them then can we get more snacks instead of that and they said no. Last day, we are getting breakfast at 9 Am food didn’t come so I went to front desk and told her that we are checking out but our breakfast didn’t come out yet. That was 9:45 AM. She told me go get our luggage and wait for breakfast. She was very rude. I had really bad experience whole throughout this trip. This place SUCKS! Don’t ever go there!! Waste Money and time!!
It is truly very hilly. The golf cart shuttles were amazingly friendly but hold on tight.
hillside rooms make the check-in and check-out process difficult.
Our stay was great! Just wish they had more restaurant options on property. But overall the room and staff was excellent and helpful. Loved the convince of the transportation to the beach & grocery store.
Staff at restaurants were rude and rooms bedding made me and my wife break out in hives couldn’t wait to get home after waiting 4hrs to find a new room due to cockroach in room
Love it can’t complain about anything maybe the drinks was too strong lol be careful
I loved the iguanas that were roaming around on the property.
Location of resort is good. Staff was super friendly and helpful! Would recommend to others.
IT WAS EXCELLENT
The staff was AMAZING and friendly! That alone made the trip worthwhile.
only one restaurant. wait staff were great .breakfast was great but when we ordered sides with our supper the meal was hot but the sweet potatoes fries and onion rings were cold. small beach and brown water. not enough carts to get to upper apartments. younger staff were not knowledgeable. of some things. And while we were there I slipped on wet floor and cut my big toe. because it slipped into a pce of metal holding down the rug. toe was really bleeding my wife asked for some band aids which they gave her and she went back and got some antiseptic pad and a few more band aids and none of your staff came over to see what happened and it was my wife that used paper towels to clean up the blood that was on the floor in about 6 places including your carpet. this happened at back door looking at the ocean. It happened in your main lobby and no one saw the 4 of us trying to stop my big toe from bleeding. at 9.30 in the morning. We liked your rooms and they were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The property was kept up and we always saw workers doing the landscaping and painting. it needs a lot of work coming out of the ocean to get to the pool or restaurant the transition is eroded away from rain water in a few places. I'm sorry if this review seem negative but we did have a great time you can tell that the resort has great potential its just not there yet.
Slow and bad service in restaurant. Beach was small and water was very murky and not crystal blue as on Coki or sapphire beaches
The resort was great. Lots of activities and games. Free Margaritas and a good happy hour. Not over crowded and easy to move around the property. Only downside was that nothing is walkable from the resort. The roads are too windy and dangerous with cars.
I would definitely be staying there again and I would recommend it to anyone going to St. Thomas.
There was just the one onsite restaurant and nothing near that you could or wanted to walk to. The area around the hotel is a slum according to the locals. the beach is rather dirty in front of the hotel and lots of damage from past storms. We asked for some things from the hotel and one of the requests for more coffee just did not happen. The next day it was oh. we will send it right up.
Not good for people with disabilities ability to get around. Gold car service was excellent. Worst ocean view on the island. Ocean is not swimmable! Not what you would expect from a margaritaville resort!! No market that has things you can buy like sandwiches to make in your room as an example. Would not do a long stay at this resort
Excellent customer service, perfect location for vacation, i will definitely go back.
Horrible stay
Enjoyed my stay with my family for Thanksgiving!
The staff was outstanding.
The area could have more restaurants to choose from and more activities.
Highly recommended for vacation wonderful hospitality staff is friendly taxis will try to overcharge so watch that part but the resort its self ALLL thumbs 👍 up great place to stay
Staff was great, location was amazing (what's not to love about the Caribbean), room smelled and carpeting in the stairwell was black-ish.
Love it
This trip was overall beautiful. We were grateful for the round the clock transportation. Traveling with a one year old isn't easy. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The entertainment was good.
This was our second stay at Margaritaville. We feel the food at Landshark last year was better. The calamari was way overcooked and its replacement was not much better. The wings were tasty and cooked but not exactly hot to the touch. Wish they had a breakfast menu on sunday instead of a $25pp buffet, so the coffee shop on the property was busy. The rooms are spacious, then pools with bars are fun. We always meet fun people on St Thomas. The property feels safe and you can walk to Coki beach. Its not a far drive to Red Hook where you can hop a ferry to St John. Look forward to staying again in the future.
Room was not ready until 5 pm . It smelled strongly like mildew even after running the air the 3 nights we stayed. Room layout and bathroom was good. It was a 5 minute uphill walk to our room. Friendly and welcoming staff.
I would be nice to get a pallet of all the places your transport will take guests, in your advertisement.
Great and relaxing
The staff at the front desk were very nice and friendly and interacting with them was always a pleasure! I booked this vacation through Expedia and they confirmed that it was an all inclusive hotel during the booking process. We were very disappointed to find out that it in fact is not. We spoke with several other guests who were told the same thing. The information seems to be purposely misleading. There is only one restaurant on the property which meant that we had to leave the hotel to get food. Transportation on the island is quite expensive and the food costs quite a bit as well. The misinformation about the hotel being all inclusive affected the quality of our stay.
The bartenders were great Allen ,Kirsten, Billy and the rest I'm sorry I'm bad with names can't remember them all.
Loved the property. Very clean and staff was extremely nice. This is close to everything. I do want to say, if are coming here- please respect the wild life on the island. Keep an EYE ON YOUR KIDS and have them do the same.
They take immaculate care of the grounds, so its absolutely beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly. Amazing food and fun activities planned for the whole week. Highly recommend.
Love the hotel!
The customer service was horrible and the room wasn’t completely clean. Limited places to eat and the market was a joke. Will not return.
Grounds are beautiful. Two very nice pools. Everything you need is there.
All was well
I would not Stay at this property and I don’t recommend it.
Property was kept clean, the people work very hard.
Everything was beautiful. Room, grounds, people. Dining options and snack option's we're few and way too overpriced, that part was irritating actually
Everything was great but food was definitely pricey
This property is beautiful, but that’s about the only good thing I have to say about it. The room was pretty but smelled like mildew. I went to St Thomas to relax, but It is impossible to relax at this resort. It took an hour just to check in. We went to the fromt desk to ask a question the following day and that was another 30 minutes. The rooms are on the top of very high hills. There are no elevators, so after you climb up 4 steep flights of stairs with your luggage to get to your building, you get to climb up more stairs to the fourth floor where our room was unfortunately located. There are golf carts to take you to your room but it’s 20-30 mins to wait for it. There is only one restaurant and the food isn’t very good. I paid $65 for the buffet, which didn’t have the red snapper as advertised and the food was terrible. Make sure you stop at the grocery store on the way there because the coffee shop is about 1/2 mile walk and then 1/2 back up hill. The coffee shop has the only bottled water or snacks and it closes at 8 p.m. The beach has no lounge chairs. The water is dirty and the beach is really small. Plan on traveling to another area to go to the beach. I am an experienced traveler. I have traveled all over the world, and this is the worst place I have ever stayed at. I will never stay at another Margaritaville after this experience.
We had an early morning check out and no one was there
The resort is beautiful with plenty of amenities. Thankfully they had a golf cart concierge for the transportation up the steep hill to our room. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious at the restaurant, bars and coffee shop. The beach was disappointing as it seemed washed away when we were there, but the walk to Coki Beach was about 3 minutes and that beach was nice. We will definitely consider staying there again the next time we go to St. Thomas.
Parking....it flooded. No ohone call to move cars. More than 10 vehicles were ruined
Great stay. Thank you
Great staff

This was our second time staying here, and I will return yet again!! They are so accommodating, I always feel completely safe, and I never get sick of the beautiful views. When I return to St. Thomas, I will return to Margaritaville!
