I liked everything about the mantra pavilion its clean & tidy customer service is really great the staff are really friendly and all the above
Staff helped, could be better.
This stay was part of a longer trip. Driving back from Adelaide to Canberra, The last overnight leg on a family road trip. 2 AD and 2Ch. We booked the 2 Bedroom Suite, it looks exactly the same as the images, it is a reasonable layout, a little strange, but perfectly functional. Check in: was quick and simple, the staff were informative, professional, and helpful. ISSUES: We had a couple of issues with our room that made our stay uncomfortable. There is a sitting area, a mini kitchenette, the two bedrooms, toilet and tucked in with the toilet (like a secret room) is the shower. Room: There are seperate reverse cycle aircon units in each space, all are seriously outdated and are in need of replacing. Our room had one remote control for all three units. None of which worked particularly well. - The sitting area unit mounted towards the roof had a broken thermostat and was stuck on the coldest temperature. The fan function did not work. There was a loud, constant, and regular vibrating noise coming from the unit even when switched off (??), That noise could be heard from aircon unit inext door. -Microwave had been burnt out beforehand. We tried to use and the burnt smell was very offensive and could be smelled down the hall & next mornin. -There are no staff on site after 6 pm if there are any issues. The hotel in a great location there are plenty of choices for somewhere to eat within walking distance, and there is plenty of onsite parking. Recompense occurred.
Room was lovely. Beds were comfortable.
Very tired and smelly. Toilet had not been cleaned in ages. Curtains and furnishings were dirty. Had l known they allowed dogs in rooms would not have booked.
The room was spacious and relatively well equipped. However lighting for the kitchenette / dining area was extremely blunt, one switch for all lights: all or nothing. For the bedroom it was better but one of the lights did not function. The view was towards car parking. Most disappointing was the check-in, which was handled as 'after hours' even though we arrived at 7pm. We were not informed about this, and both the website and the notice at the front entry indicate 'after hours' starting at 9pm. Then we had to go through a lengthy identification process to receive the code for the keys to a side door that looked like an emergency exit. It didn't seem that there was any staff on site, and the dining area/bar were closed.
Centrally located, close to bars and shops which was perfect for a short stay. Very friendly and helpful staff made us and our dog feel right at home. A must for dog owners 😊
There was not mention of the Pet fee of $50 when you book the hotel. The main reason for using this hotel as it the only one that allows pets.. and makes the hotel price over $210 a night very expensive for Wagga
Na
Aircon pissed out water even while turned off, foul musty smell in the room when we got there.
Breakfast staff were very nice
Rooms were clean and tidy.
The room was very dated. Realized only on arrival that the room does not have a stovetop. Wasn’t easy to find this info while booking the hotel.
The room was filthy broken doors broken exhaust fans burnt carpet marks
Needs maintenance, room was shabby, paint missing and chips in door frames, gaps and marks on vinyl flooring, water pressure and plumbing terrible. Toilet leaking and didn’t flush well. There was a razor from the last person in our shower so not sure if the shower had been cleaned. Location was good and worker on the front desk was lovely and did what she could. Wouldn’t stay again. Not the way we wanted to finish our Christmas break with my elderly mother in law.
Dirty shower, mould in shower, pets in rooms
Bit run down from past years
The room was spacious. Reception staff were great. I left an item in my room on departure, they located it and put it aside for me to collect on my return.
Well maintained hotel and great that it was pet friendly. Convenient location and across from a nice and popular Italian restaurant. Within walking distance of Woolies which was handy.
Okay but a little overpriced
The hotel is starting to get a bit old and tired. Was comfortable enough, but was surprised at the cost relative to the quality of the room.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The property was clean but the floor in the room was really average It’s a floating timber floor and someone has either tried to unsuccessfully glue or fill joints or they had tape on them and not cleaned it properly after. Really makes the room look shabby
I wouldn’t stay here again
Booked through Hotels.com, received an email to say reception is manned until 7pm. Arrived at 6.40pm and no one on reception. Rang after hours number twice waited 20mins to get a room, asked for a refund and go elsewhere and was told I would have to sort that out with Hotels.com Hallway carpet thread bare Bed was awful Heard every door close on other rooms
Nice and quiet place to stay
I arrived late at night due to prior appointment. Received SMS with an instruction to get the key from the safe which was nice and easy. The room is spacious with all necessity in place where they should be. The building shows its age and time to refurbish some parts. Good place to stay in Wagga Wagga.
We liked the location of the hotel. It is an easy walk to cafes and restaurants. Our room was fairly spacious but it was unusual to not have a door leading into the bathroom - not the best at night when you want to put the light on but not disturb others.
Staff smoking outside the FRONT DOOR on more than one occasion... so unprofessional. I will never stay here again.
Getting tired,
Awesome view from toom.
Great lication
No Staff
There was no staff The place was closed you had to ring to get your key like after hours Had the wrong room number on the envelope the room didn’t exist Took about 45 minutes to get thing sorted No txt or phone call Last weekend I stayed there they rang me to find out were I was for I was running late This is the last time I will stay there There are places in Wagga for the same price and are better It time for a makeover
Average accommodation in the CBD of Wagga
Dated, leaking air conditioner, needs refurbishing. Staff were lovely though.
Extremely Disappointed
Upon arrival at 4pm in the afternoon there were signs that said the Reception, Bar & Restaurant would not be opening and that breakfast is unavailable on Mondays and Tuesdays. I booked this Hotel because it had these features for our stay and were givn no prior warning that it would all be closed. You don't want to turn up to this after a 5hr drive. Alot of money to pay for just a room and no service at all.
great room comfy bed and clean great shower It was a quick overnight stay Perfect
Relaxing
Tha staff where all friendly and all where helpful just when thay advertising the accommodation in Australia dollars net American
We loved our stay.
Great friendly staff
The room requires attention and refurbishing. The walls ans carpert were worn and very tired looking. The layout of the room is horrible: with the position of the towel rack inside the shower and toilet in the same room is ridiculous. The shower and toilet need to be separate. Dining options/room service would have been nice. Will i stay here again or recommend to anyone. No.
The weather was hot while we stayed and the building gets really hot if you’re staying on the 3rd floor but the air conditioner in our room worked well. We used the elevator once and were too scared to use it again, definitely needs a reno. A few of the drinks in the mini bar were past their best before date. The price was kind of a rip off considering we didn’t have a kitchen but the location is great for local shopping and the parking is close but small
Dirty and Old
Second time we have stayed here, we booked the spa suite and paid the highest price to find the bath recess was just covered in mould. Not just grout mould but all along the tops of the tiles which meant we definitely didn’t use the spa. The shower head was so corroded it sprayed everywhere and above the paintings you could see dust clumps hanging off the tops. The bed head is peeling and there was a light not working in the room from what I assume was a cracked light switch that was visible. Being an Accor property I would expect so much better…
A whole group of people came back to their rooms above me at 2.00am and partied and slamming doors between rooms and kept me up till my alarm went off at 6.00am, they were still going. I tried to ring for after hours service but the phone was not connected. I travel alot for work and i didnt get any sleep from 2am, the worst motel experience i have ever had, i want my money back!!
On arrival reception closed. Drop room key box did not work, had to wait for staff to drive to mantra to let us in to our room.
We liked that it was convenient for our function we attended that evening, and room was quiet. Didnt like the musty smell as we walked down corridor to our room. The shower was leaking from the ceiling and we were given a free drink when we mentioned to barstaff/checkin staff. We were offered to be moved to another room but we were on our way to a function. The employee seemed to know exactly which room we were speaking about, made me think this had been going on for a while. Disappointing stay as this was a date night and had always wanted to stay at this motel.
the whole facility is showing its age and is simply just tired.
Stains on carpet. Reception staff pretty average. remote control for TV and air conditioner were sticky and gross.
Was happy with the accommodation and the staff were very helpful.
Perfect location, easy to get around, very clean & comfortable. My only negative was that l was in the room next to an exit & the heavy door was left to bang shut at all hours of the day & night.
Comfortable, clean and friendly
Comfortable two bedroom suite, perfect to stay overnight with my daughter while on a business trip. Clean and well furnished. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good location
Bath was slightly dusty but clean room overall
Beautiful and clean
The Mantra Pavilion is very convenient to our son's residence. It is close to restaurants and shopping. It just has a very nice atmosphere.
Whilst the showers look a bit dated, the rooms are roomy, very clean and the kitchenette just fabulous. The beds are comfy, the rooms are serviced daily and the bar/dining area is swoon-worthy with its amazing pavillion roof!
Great convenient clean hotel. Main bed however sags in the middle.
Good to sleep in
Good sized room only problem if it was a problem was check in closing so early
Perfect location friendly staff & nice quiet area
Don't bother
Totally worn out and run down.
Loved our room and the location. Staff were all lovely.
It's really comfy n cosy here and clean and comfy beds but really old TVs... Need smart TVs!
Great for overnight stop Showing its age Pet friendly
No review
Was disappointed as not what we expected from when we have stayed before rooms need to be updated an modernised. Rooms where clean
Easy parking
Good location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Easy parking as well.
Our room was extremely old and in need of upgrade. Floorboards coming off, carpet looks old and needs replacing. Batteries in remotes for TV and heaters also hardly working.
Great stay at a solid regional hotel. Clean and comfortable (nothing fancy) but everything you need for a good nights sleep. Staff in particular had that welcoming country attitude
A nice place to stay walkable distance to dining options.
The room was very draughty and cold. The air conditioner was unable to heat the room. The amenities in the room are very dated. The shower over the bath was set-up in a way that caused significant water to pool on the floor. The staff at reception were nice and professional.
Nice clean comfortable room
Has kitchen but very limited plates, cups etc. no tea towel or dishcloth. Laundry in our room no powder or liquid. Leaking taps in bathroom, bathroom light intermittent, one of the aircons had a loud whine. Lift floor didn’t align with hall floor. Weren’t told reception was closing hours earlier at 5pm.
Appalling
Booked two Superior Queen Rooms. Nothing Superior about them and told no other rooms available when request made - carpet nearly empty though. Room 1 (106)- Awful stench on opening door. Shower unusable as something smelt like it was rotting in the shower drain - had to ask for air freshner. No milk provided in this room. Room 2 - (114) freezing - couldn't get the A/C to work on arrival - had to ring after hours and ask for help - new remote provided. Spa tub not working so was unusable, Found a used syringe laying in the garden outside our room, stepped over as we packed the car. Would never stay here again nor will i risk staying at any other Mantra Hotel. Just appalling - hotel is in decay with frayed carpets in the hall and loose fittings. So dissapointed as we visited Wagga Wagga for a funeral and didn't need the stress.
Good value, easy access. Netflix did not work, TV and AC in bedroom was slow. No staff during weekends
Pet friendly was great
Everything we needed - very happy
Thank you for a wonderful stay. We were very happy. Location was good. We had everything that we needed.
The room A/C was not working. My credit card will not work at this motel. I use a work credit card and it is not accepted, it is inconvenient to use my personal card and have to reimbursed for this payment.
Loved our stay.
Check in experience was warm and welcoming. Room dirty
Very dated and run down.
Extremely outdated - none of our appliances worked. No working TV, all 3 reverse cycle air conditioners were broken. Wouldn’t recommend staying there.
Property is clean, spacious and tidy. However overall accommodation is very dated.
Nice big family room, well equipped, comfy beds. Good location. Very low staffing numbers - one person working reception and the breakfast room. No breakfast buffet - we ordered the continental and it comes all or nothing - cereal, toast, yoghurt. We couldn’t decide how much or little we wanted. No second rounds of toast! A giant bowl of yoghurt that my kid was never going to eat - with berries regardless. Hot drinks were charged separately. Its odd for a 4 star hotel.
We stayed here as it was dog friendly and it was AMAZING! A GREAT location close to pubs & restaurant's. Friendly staff & perfect rooms.
Had to change rooms as door would not lock. Staff were fantastic and moved us to another room which was more updated.
A great stop over on our drive to Sydney. Super dog friendly and very convenient.
The property is rundown A shame as it was once the best motel in Wagga
Stinking bathroom - septic drain smell and leaking toilet cistern all night. A disgusting rip off.
Good but not great
Overall the hotel is pretty good. The bed and room were comfortable however there was quite an unpleasant smell in the room when we first entered. The decor in the room is a bit tired.
Excellent service by staff
Good stay
I was happy with my accommodation and service peovide by the staff
Great property and people.
I loved the plants in the foyer. Bathroom s were very clean.
Not enough staff. Happy hour advertised every day but when we were there bar was closed. Breakfast not available on checkout Monday.
The location was great, but the room was very average. The pictures of the room on wotif didn't present a true indication of the room. The bed was awful whilst the room itself was very average.
Property location is good. Room left a lot to be desired. Crickets, spiders & centipedes in the room, the room had an odd smell. Wouldn't choose this property again unless desperate.
The hotel was excellent and the staff were very helpful.
Property needs regular maintenance tv did not work properly blown light globes not changed etc But other than that okay
Didnt like the Spa and shower combination
Did not realise it was pet friendly. Will not stay here again as I do not like the idea of pets having been in the rooms.
Hotel is showing its age. Dissappointed I did not notice that it was pet friendly. So I did not like the idea of being in a room that had been used by a dog. I do not like pets. It is cruel to cart these animals around and expect them to be in a hotel. There was a distinct smell of dogs in the hotel.
Everything was fine except the shower in the Spa, the floor gets wet, felt a little unsafe getting in and out. And the showerhead itself wasnt that good.

When we walked into the room, it had a horrible smell and there was no way we could stay but to the staff's credit they found us another room straight away, no questions asked.
