This is a real gem! Fantastic boutique hotel with beautiful rooms that roomy and quiet. All the amenities you could ever need. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. You really need to stay more than one night to get to see what it has to offer.
Excellent
Excellent service, great food in-house, convenient location, friendly staff and luxury rooms.
2 night stay
The venue is lovely and staff are very attentive. The area is secure but as a European it’s always strange to see neighbouring buildings with high fences and bar windows. The beach is less than 5 minutes away, very nice strands there!
Great boutique hotel
Really nice boutique hotel. The food was amazing and the service of the General Manger was unbelievable.
Great hotel. Beautifully appointed, pity that the dinner wasn't quite up to scratch as everything else was excellent.
Fantastic stay
Amazing luxury weekend getaway.
P.E R&R
A perfect destination for anyone looking for 5 star luxury. Quite a few mosquitoes.... so ask them to spray your room before you arrive, nevertheless a fantastic stay.
Excellent upmarket property in PE; would definitely stay again
Luxury personified
This is the best place to stay in P.E. by far - especially for business. They have a fantastic restaurant, spa and cinema room. To name a few.
Great service- excellent staff. Nic is super :) Beautiful room. Nice Spa. Good breakfast. No complaints.
Surprising gem
Incredible staff, Nick was awesome. Super spacious room 10. Quiet and very good value.
Art Deco hotel, bit pricey, poor housekeeping
Very striking and stylish ArtDeco interiors in this hotel, but we didn’t enjoy ourselves as much as we expected. While the rooms are quite nice, the service was surprisingly poor. We were only staying one night, and after checking into the hotel in the afternoon we were disappointed to discover our bed had no linen on it. This didn’t get resolved until after 9 o’clock at night! We had an early flight the next day so it was pretty inconvenient having to wait for hours for housekeeping into the night. When the maids finally turned up they weren’t even apologetic and just sort of gossiped and giggled between themselves while they made up the bed. Thought it odd that a hotel like this one needed 7 hours or more to scrounge up a set of bedsheets for paying guests.
By far the best value for money in Port Elizabeth. I keep going back and the food is amazing, too.
Short stay, but a sweet one!
Hotel wasn't busy at all when we stayed, it was only for one night but it is during their winter. Beautiful hotel, we treated ourselves to the presidential suite for our honeymoon but it was very well priced! Staff were great and so accommodating.
Wish we had more time! Outstand
Fantastic in every way
The hotel is so beautiful, the rooms are magnificent and the service is so fantastic. This hotel is a true gem and a great find.
Very nice stay in Port Elizabeth at No5 Boutique
We stayed for one night whilst passing through Port Elizabeth. The location was good and out of the busy city centre. Parking was available and the hotel staff were very helpful from the first moment to the last. The hotel and rooms were very clean and well designed. There were swimming pools although we didn't use them. Would definitely go back.
Plush!
Awesome Hotel. Real 5 star
Excellent stay
Beautiful hotel with excellent staff & facilities. Only wish we could have stayed longer than one night!
Two tides in a storm.
Decor great, location excellent. Excellent service from those who knew what they were doing, Ryan, Thembisa, Ntsika and Nomzamo excelled. The decor can never take away the human touch. Laxy daisy, overfamiliar attitude from some which showed by poor service. Dining room uninviting. Cold atmosphere in the dining room, which overshadowed the great decor. Limited choices and poor layout. The stairs on which the waiters stood made me uncomfortable because it felt like someone was standing over me and couldn't relax. All the waiters were excellent and did their best to give us privacy while eating. Overall excellent hotel and just need to put back the human touch in droves.
Great Hotel!
We had a great stay at this hotel. It is totally unique with lots of personal services available. The food was very good and made to order breakfasts were included. The beach is only a block away.
Great hotel and staff
Rooms are great and very clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Located in summer stand near the beach and the boardwalk shopping area. Good breakfast.
Beautiful Art Hotel, feels like home. attention to detail and a relaxing atmosphere.
Wonderful high quality
A most interesting experience. We stayed in the annex with our own little garden.
Cute luxury boutique near the beach
This luxury boutique hotel is located 2 blocks from the beach. There's tons to do and the hotel is also beautiful and worth enjoying. The simple presentation of a fresh lemon in the kitchen area just made me smile. The artwork is amazing and the decor is stunning. There's also a wine cellar where private dinners can be accommodated. There's also a private movie room, gym and spa!
You won't regret staying here!
Gorgeous hotel at a very reasonable price. The room was enormous! Service was wonderful. We also ate in the restaurant and had a delicious meal. Would highly recommend.
Off the Charts!
Our room at No. 5 Boutique Art Hotel was perhaps the nicest and best appointed hotel room in which I have ever stayed. The room was huge, had hardwood floors, a multi-room bathroom suite with soaker tub and huge walk-in shower, a very good desk area, large seating area, king-sized bed, and a large balcony. The room had no real view, but the view was irrelevant -- everything else was spectacular.
Night of Recovery after the 5 day Otter Trail
I thoroughly loved this place. I had just finished the five-day Otter Trail and needed to fly out of PE to catch a flight to the U.S. the next day. I checked in at 3:00 pm and never left until the next morning. the room was really a suite and had a great tub, a generous bed, a cozy area to watch television and a Nespresso machine for morning coffee. Gretchen was the on-duty staff and she rocked it out!! She tried hard to schedule a massage for me, but as I told her when I saw the suite, even if she scheduled a massage, I doubt I would've wanted to leave the room. Just drawing a bath, drinking some wine and watching TV was all I wanted. Gretchen really made me feel incredibly welcome.
A Unique 5-Star Hotel
This is one of the most beautiful small hotels in the world. The rooms are quiet, spacious and clean. Ours had a lovely private courtyard. The hotel includes a spa and very good restaurant. We ate dinner there one night and enjoyed the lamb and green Thai curry. The staff is first rate. The hotel is one block away from the ocean. And best of all, you are surrounded with very good works of art and furniture. Who ever buys for the hotel has a first-rate eye for art.
IronMan South Africa - Port Elizabeth
Spent several nights at No. 5 Boutique Art Hotel. Great Hotel. Took very good care of us before the race - allowed us to have special breakfast menu on race day and made it available at 3:30am. Everything was excellent. Staff were great and did all the could to make things easy. Highly recommend the executive suite.
Excellent value for money and a splendid property!
Stayed here during our honeymoon in South Africa. Absolutely stunning property in a very convenient location within PE. Amazing pool, outstanding food, and polished service. The private art collection throughout the hotel was also spectacular. Absolutely no complaints with the hotel whatsoever. One frustration with Hotels.com to note: there is an "Executive" room option offered at a premium to the "Business" room option online which we chose to pay an additional $25 per night for, however, as we found out, there is no corresponding "Executive" class of room offered by the hotel. The hotel manager was very accommodating with regards to the confusion caused by Hotels.com and offered us an upgraded room, but had we not been so persistent in pursuing what we believed we had payed for the premium of $25 per night for a room class that does not exist would have been for naught.
True Boutique Hotel
We stayed at the No.5 Art Boutique Hotel on December 6th in the Presidential Suite for 1 night. From the moment we arrived until we left the next morning we felt like we were in a little oasis in Port Elizabeth. It's an amazing hotel. The attention to detail is incredible. All the staff goes above and beyond and nothing was too much for them. The meals we had were top quality. There is not one negative I could come up with if I tried!
Great place to stay
Lovely hotel, lovely food, spa was great and the staff couldnt have been more accommodating. Will definitely be returning in future.
Amazing place - didn't want to leave
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights at the end of a 2 week trip travelling the Garden Route. The hotel is quite simply stunning. Everything is to an exceptionally high standard, the rooms were large and spacious with a private garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I felt nothing was too much or a problem for them. The food in the restaurant was delicious, so much so we ate there both nights. The spa session I had was bliss. And we even took advantage of the private cinema/theatre to watch a movie (while eating our desserts and a bottle of wine). Would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful
Amazing hotel. Perfect in every way and catered beautifully for our family.
Could not fault, perfect for a longer stay.
BEAUTIFULL HOTEL - GREAT ROOMS AND RESTAURANT
This hotel is in a quiet location, close to P.E. city center and P.E. industry, very nice rooms, spacious, with good restaurant. All at very good pricing. Will be staying there again on next trip !!
What an amazing hotel. Huge comfortable rooms with beautiful art déco finishing all for a very reasonable price. Next time that I am in PE I small be staying here for sure.
Very well run and comfortable hotel. Staff was extremely helpful throughout our brief stay. Location was also very useful -- near the heart of the city's night activities and the airport.
A bit pretentious, and let down by technology
The rooms and general areas were very new, nice and arty. However, too much technology which didn't always work caused issues. Firstly the airconditioning did nothing (fixed when I asked for help). However, I couldn't call reception as the "mobile" room phone didn't work. We were in a room over the road from reception, so I had to walk over, to sort out the aircon (at which time fortunately they fixed the phone as well - new battery?) Lucky they did since next morning, we could not get out as the ultra secure doors every where were stuck - electronic key thought it was unlocked, lock didn't! Luckily I could phone recepttion, otherwise we may have been stuck until room service appeared hours later and we could have missed our flight! However, bar and breakfast were good and the bed comfortable.
Beautiful Artsy Hotel
Beautiful boutique style hotel with lovely suites. Air-con could be colder, as the rooms are quite big. Great hotel staff. The hotel is located 1 block from the beach, but there are NO sea view rooms in this hotel. The Breakfast was quite disappointing. But overall a GREAT boutique style hotel. Would definitely go back!
Amazing !
An amazing art deco hotel , if in PE you should stay there
Fanrtasic service
The stay was perfect, except the limited TV Channels ,If they should improve on that
This is a magnificent small hotel. The decor belongs in Architectural Digest. It is amazing. The hotel staff is there to please. We have never stayed in a more beautiful suite. It is over the top. I only wished that we had stayed more than one night. The breakfast is also fabulous. The location is also great.
Great hotel but better service needed
crazy gorgeous rooms, fantastic art collection and a private movie theater which you can rent!!! My dream hotel! Connor in particular was fantastic and so helpful and professional. Negative but was that when we checked out it was raining and we had to go across the street and get our heavy suitcases ourselves. We asked for help but the lady in reception said there was none. She also wanted us to leave the umbrella and walk to our car in the rain instead of someone accompanying us. Not a fun end.
Conforto, espaçoso
Excelente opção em Port Elizabeth. Bem localizado na melhor praia e próximo aos melhores restaurantes. Serviço excelente
Excelente local. Vale a pena conhecer.
Overall cute and safe Boutique hotel. My only concern was ai ddint pay all this money to clwan the toilet from the previous persons un the room. So house keeping needs to do better. Other than this it was a great stay and really nice property.
