Spacious and good customer care
This is one of the best hotel we have stayed in terms of the services. Exceptional service from the staff at every stage The room was large and cosy, all amenities were good. Highly recommended
Highly recommended hotel
Incredible stay from the moment we arrived until we left. Seamless check in, all staff are so kind and polite. Food in their Indian restaurant was amazing and so was their staff.
Beautiful place with immaculate service
Brilliant hotel and the staff are exceptional, well done to the team.
Colonial Charm
Clean old fashioned hotel with colonial charm
Really nice hotel. It felt like a fortress, safe and closed off to the noise and chaos of the city. The staff is really nice and helpful. Hotel is kept clean and the rooms are nice and spacious. Really liked the wooden floors. Nothing icks me the most than hotels with carpet so i’m glad they don’t have that here. The restaurant options inside the hotel are great with great staff, Savila was amazing.
Heritage property with beautiful grounds
Great heritage hotel with good price
Really good hotel. The service was top notch. It carries the Oberoi brand which you can tell due to the service you received. Beginning to end was top notch. Even the manager was very kind to greet and say bye. So definitely recommend it
Excellent place to stay and staff is really helpful.
Hidden gem
A hidden gem in Delhi. Wonderful service and stay. We have been coming for numerous review.
All good except WiFi
Stunning hotel with big clean rooms. The common areas are slightly dowdy but the rooms are gorgeous. The food was tasty and staff are very friendly. It’s a little out of the main part of Delhi which is actually a bonus. The only issue I had was the wifi was terrible. There is a wifi you can pay for that is supposed to be better but I would have hoped that regular wifi was at least manageable. My phone was faster than their wifi. Needs addressing.
Hotel is beautiful food was not up to standard given Hotel is beautiful was on a suite but what was annoying is they had photoshoot and every time you have to walk pass the people are there shooting.
What a fun place to stay with incredible history. Stayed in one of the older rooms and it was spacious, beautiful, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was exceptional in making sure the stay was comfortable and they went beyond expectations.
The perfect end to our honeymoon
We stayed for 3 nights at the end of our honeymoon and couldn’t have asked for more in terms of hospitality. The staff and service was incredible, and they made sure to make our stay special and memorable! The swimming pool area is also a lovely calm oasis despite being in the chaotic city that is Delhi! Perfect place to relax and could not recommend this hotel more
We love this hotel. Do yourself a favor and stay here. Rooms are huge and beautiful. Dining options amazing. The best international food we eat at Indian’s hotel. Super clean. Staff super friendly. Ankita was the best. Thank you maidens’ team for made our stay memorable. We’ll definitely come back many many times
Excellent stay
Great staff and friendly service . Grounds and pool were relaxing and food was excellent . Housekeeping and security staff were very polite and hardworking thanks you
Stunning hotel and friendly staff
Fitness center, beautiful grounds and ornate historic building, 120 years of hospitality with consistently 5 star service and feel.
I spent 2 nights at Maidens Hotel as the first stop on my India trip. The staff at this hotel were absolutely PHENOMENAL, from the security guards to the receptionists to the waiters, every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, nice and cool after the heat of the city. As a solo female traveller it was very important to me that I found accomodation where I felt safe and secure, Maidens Hotel was perfect for this and I can't wait to stay again.
It was close for shopping in Chandni Chowk
This is a remarkable hotel that retains the elegance of the time of the British rule in India. The service is excellent with the staff doing whatever they can to make sure guests have an excellent stay.
Amazing
Perfect in every way
We stayed for a week at Maidens and they looked after us like we were family. The room was impeccable and very spacious. The food in the restaurant was scrumptious and the staff were so kind and helpful. There was not a thing that I think they could have done differently. We’ll be back.
An entirely beautiful colonial hotel, beautifully maintained.
The Maidens Hotel is a great hotel and pays tribute to history in Delhi and India. The staff are very nice and attentive.
All as expected- very helpful staff.
This is a lovely property-- the highlight is most definitely the staff and service, which is among the best I have ever experienced. Our family had a wonderful stay here and we highly recommend!
Classic. Lovely pool. Excellent staff
Great stay!
Ambient , quiet and serene place
The old world charm and hospitality was outstanding. I almost felt nostalgic by the aura of the welcoming environment all around. The process of checking in was the easiest I have ever experienced anywhere ever. One cannot help adoring the casual elegance of the front office management and staff - sincerely caring yet unimposing. I shall surely look out for opportunities for a return visit. Thanks !! 👍❤️☺️
Super friendly staff, spacious rooms and bathrooms and great swimming pool. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The room had 4 beds so us and our 2 children could sleep comfortably.
A Historical Gem in North Delhi - Highly Recommend
Nestled in Delhi's serene Civil Lines area, Maidens Hotel is a tranquil retreat with historical charm. During our two-week holiday across India and Dubai, this heritage hotel stood out for its luxurious ambiance and exceptional hospitality. The location is ideal for exploring Delhi, with accessible transport nearby. The peaceful setting offers a welcome escape from the city's hustle. The spacious, elegant rooms were a hit with my wife, her niece, and nephew, and the decor authentically reflects its historical past. Service at Maidens Hotel was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to cater to our needs. The hospitality was exceptional, from the warm welcome to the attentive service throughout our stay. The kitchen staff and chefs at breakfast were especially welcoming, offering fantastic options like the memorable 'Akuri on Toast.' Despite minor suggestions for updates, Maidens Hotel impresses with its historic atmosphere, comprehensive amenities, and cleanliness. It remains a top choice in Delhi for those seeking a blend of luxury and heritage. When we return to Delhi, Maidens Hotel will be our only choice for accommodation.
Staff was extremely good. Spl.mentions: Deepak (dining), Sidharth (housekeeping). Enjoyed our stay to the fullest.
This is one of the most beautiful and well serviced hotels I have ever stayed in. Really colonial and well sustained. Like stepping back in time. Only downside is it is quite far out from everything - so it is a taxi ride into the city to and from here if you stay here. Alongside The Imperial, however, this is one of Delhi's premiere colonial era eatablishments.
Very clean place. Everyone was very attentive.
Maidens hotel is a beautiful period property more than 120 years old. The grounds have beautiful and well maintained gardens. There is a very nice swimming pool with brilliant accessory facilities. The rooms are beautiful with fantastic bed, mattress and pillows to allow a very comfortable sleep. Breakfast is excellent. The staff are extremely pleasant and courteous. My wife and I had an excellent stay and good memories. Thank you for looking after us so well.
Great hotel with very nice staff and amenities. Amazing features and very quiet, calm, and friendly place. Good dining options. The only minor complaint is not many walkable eateries around if you don't want to dine in at the hotel restaurant
Maidens Hotel, New Delhi
We got upgraded, It suited our needs. Really good restaurant, nice staff A bit overpriced on activities and extras.
Be prepared to be treated like royalty
Grand hotel excellently run
Maidens is grand style hotel beautifully run with excellent rooms &staff .. situated close to Civil lines Metro station the perfect position to explore Delhi…
The hotel was very comfortable. We only stayed for one night after we landed in Delhi but wished we were here for longer. The room was spectacular. Breakfast was great and the hotel staff were extremely helpful. They arranged a car to collect us from the airport but there was a communication issue and the car didn't come, the problem was very quickly sorted and a taxi was arranged for us immediately and covered in full by the hotel. The manager even came to find us and apologise personally for the inconvenience. Problems happen occasionally, however it was handled so well and professionally it didn't even matter in the end. Highly recommend this hotel
Must Stay hotel in Delhi
Great heritage hotel with a lot of history , superb service , must stay places in Delhi
I had a lovely stay at Maidens Hotel - I would highly recommend it as a place to stay and I am very grateful for the outstanding service provided by the staff of the hotel.
Great Stay
Warm courteous hospitality by all the staff. We were celebrating my birthday & there was a delicious cake for me in the room with colourful balloons. Everyone was very helpful with all our questions - made a positive difference to our stay.
Lovely Hotel, staff friendly and helpful, grounds and pool immaculate, close to Metro station Civil Lines
Our experience at Maidens exceeded our expectations. The property is beautiful, a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Delhi. The staff are excellent and very helpful. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Delhi.
Beautiful heritage building, very tranquil but the staff were the stars, so kind and helpful . The only negatives( being said with a grain of salt) room was dark, furniture old, carpets worn. Breakfast fantastic and the chef made a custom dinner. We would definitely return, maybe pay more for an upgraded room or suite
This is a nice hotel if you want to get away from the bustle of the city. It also has a heated outdoor swimming pool in pleasant gardens. It is close to the Civil Lines Metro which is easy to navigate. Close to the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk, but quite a journey to tourist sites in the south of Delhi city.
Will be our go to place whenever in Delhi
This is a lovely hotel, with excellent staff, simply designed rooms with super comfortable beds. The swimming pool is perfect and breakfast on the outside terrace is a good start to the day.
Heart of the British Raj this was a great experience. Much better than staying in a newer hotel with less character. Maidens is five star to the hilt. Front desk staff, doormen and suis chef I give my personal thanks to. Spacious spacious rooms. I got upgraded to a suite. Nice swimming pool. Outstanding breakfast. Convenient - easy to grab a took room or taxi to get to Red Fort.
Rooms were very clean but overall need refurbishment to come up to the standard that would match the rest of the hotel. Pool area is lovely. All the staff were extremely courteous and kind.
Excellent. Wonderful staff. Beautiful rooms. Lunch in the restaurant was delicious. Higbly recommended
Absolutely fantastic charming, relaxed, elegant 5*
We had an extra night in Delhi and stayed here. The other 2 nights were at the Imperial. Stay at Maidens! The staff were incredible - when we checked in we were also greeted by the manager. Service in the bar and at breakfast was attentive, friendly and relaxed. The room was extremely comfortable. We didn’t have time to use the large outdoor pool but it looked amazing for laps or relaxing. This is possibly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. We’re already trying to work out another trip that can include this hotel even though this is our seventh trip to India and there are other places to go. We had booked the night last minute as a change of plan over 2 nights at Agra and got a great price from Hotels.com. On arrival we were upgraded to a beautiful suite but I think all the rooms would be great here.
Classy hotel one of the best in the world value wise.
The hotel is situated in a nice area along Civil Lines and I was impressed by the level of security to enter the property. The building appears very grand and well maintained with nice gardens. Our welcome was very warm and it was nice to see the hotel general manager as we checked in. The rooms (2 suites and 1 premier) were really wonderful. Very spacious and tastefully finished. Everything was maintained to a high standard. Housekeeping was very detailed and there was also a turn down service. We do feel that there is an issue at this hotel when it comes to catering which I will explain. It quickly became evident that the hotel hosts very large touring groups on a regular basis. It seems that they often organise for the groups to dine together and lay out a buffet dinner, which completely occupies the dining areas and prevents the staff being able to cope with other guests who wish to dine. On the first night we were unable to get a table at either venue to eat dinner and had to leave the hotel to eat. This was unexpected but we didn’t mind. On our departure we had an early airport taxi booked and enquired at the desk about an early breakfast in our rooms as breakfast starts at 0700. Unfortunately this did not show up at 0600 as requested and when we went downstairs I was shocked to see dozens of members of a touring group eating breakfast at 0615. I can only give the hotel 4 stars because it allows compromised experience to those not in large tour groups.
We loved the stay. The room we booked was spacious, clean, and nice hardwood floors
Beautiful Heritage hotel
Hotel is beautiful and super clean. Highly recommended. Lots of gardens make you forget you are in Delhi .
Excellent property
Perfect place to escape the mayhem of Delhi. Couldnt fault it.
Lovely 1903 British Hotel located in Old Delhi. Rooms were very up to date and clean, bathroom were especially nice all with large tubs and modern showers, and plenty of hot water. We had nothing to complaint about, truly a 5 Star Hotel in Delhi. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at the Maidens Hotel.
The Hotel is centrally located in Old Delhi near the Red Fort and other attractions. The rooms are very clean and nice. We stayed at other 5 Star Hotel in India, but the Maidens Hotel stood out as truly 5 Star Hotel. I would rate Dinning and choice of menu, as very exceptional for an hotel, and our overall experience was very enjoyable. I would recommend anyone to stay there while in Old Delhi, you want be disappointed.
The hotel is phenomenal. And it gives you a feeling of being in some old movie. The building is from 1904 but it's been well kept. My room was very spacious and clean. The place is a 3-4 minute walk from the subway, which I found very helpful. The hotel can arrange renting a car and/or a guide for sightseeing purposes including Taj Mahal in Agra. All in all, excellent experience.
This is a heaven in the busy and crowded Delhi. The staff is so welcome and kind to help in any request. This is the best hotel I stayed in India.
The best part about Maidens is that they make you feel so welcome, like family. Every detail is taken care of and they are very kind. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Highly recommended to everyone to experience this hotel.
Lovely property. Amazing staff they were always very helpful. Loved my stay here.
Great property- old colonial. Spacious rooms. Polite and helpful staff.
Six stars
This is truly a great hotel. Honestly, I wish I were still there. The hotel and its extensive grounds are really lovely, and I loved my Heritage room. The staff is truly exceptional, I don’t think I’ve every been treated so well, from the moment I was welcomed at the door until the moment they saw me off. They’re really caring, and willing to go well out of their way to make sure everything is perfect for you. Several times, they suggested things I hadn’t thought of. In my case, they were extremely helpful when my transportation to the next city in my itinerary fell through, far beyond anything I could have expected. As another example, the chef in the breakfast room , at his suggestion, prepared special food for me to deal with a food sensitivity. But there are many more examples. I’m really grateful for all they did for me. They deserve six stars.
Unforgettable, the Maidens Hotel
I had the pleasure of staying at the Maidens Hotel from 9/23-9/27/2023. This is a palatial, quiet, lovely hotel with the best service. I lived in a suite with a confirtalbe living room. I spent a few hours in the living room reading books every day. I still miss that kind of enjoyment. There are four beautiful peacocks in the garden, but unfortunately I didn't see them open their tails. Maybe this regret will prompt me to go to Delhi and stay in the Maidens Hotel again. In the evening of 9/26/2023, I asked a front desk clerk to send 2 postcards to USA for me, but I forgot giving him the postage fee. I received the postcard two days ago and I felt so guilty. Can anyone help me to find him? I sincerely thank him, and please let me know how to contact him and find a way sending the postage back to him? Thank you so much!
Great service, nice pool, rooms comfortable. No complaints!
We enjoyed professional, excellent service. Properly aging but kept very clean. Felt secure.
Nice hotel with an old world charm!
Beautiful property and wonderful service!
Charming and welcoming
I booked Maiden's to experience history and was not dissappointed . It is a beautifully maintained heritage hotel built around 1900 . We are lucky that we get to experience this today. Expansive grounds - huge rooms where every thing is spick and span and works as it should . However the best part is the staff. Always polite , courteous and welcoming . Compliments to management and staff for a wonderfull stay.
Excellent.
Classic old school hotel with staff who bent over backwards to accommodate and serve its guests.
Lovely old colonial style building in a quiet area very close to Civil Lines metro stop. Room was very large and comfortable. Staff attentive and friendly. Saluting men in British police style uniforms was a nice touch! Food really nice if a little expensive. Only downside was we saw rats in the bar area.
Enjoyed
We had a really good time. Both restaurants Staff’s and pool side staff’s was very friendly and Only downside was the swimming pool doesn’t stay open very late.
Very nice property with very friendly staff thank you for awesome service
Family trip
I have stayed in many 5 star hotels both in US and outside. The stay in maidens and the hospitality was the best. The staff have an excellent attitude and are very helpful. I would highly recommend this place to stay.
Great Hotel
Maidens Hotel is fantastic. Stayed here twice in June 23. The old colonial building and grounds are beautiful, rooms big and comfortable, and the staff are amazing. Definitely recommend and will stay here again if back in Delhi.
.
Maidens exceeded our expectations...and more
We chose Maidens for its great location near old Delhi and for its nice architecture. We got even more: a nice welcome with sparkling wine after our long flight, a nice restaurant and a lovely garden for breakfast.
Overall a great 2-night stay. It’s a lovely, quiet, oasis in a crazy city. The staff were great and the room was very comfortable. But there are a few areas which could be improved. Wi-Fi is very poor. It’s 2023 - hotels of this calibre should not be punishing guests with throttled speed unless they pay for Wi-Fi. This was a thing maybe 15 years ago but it was a surprise to find it still happening here. Buffet breakfast was excellent overall but: Multigrain bread stale both mornings Cheese cut so thinly it was totally shrivelled No one offered us eggs at our first breakfast Dinner in the Curzon Room was great. Calvary Bar was a bit sad. Bland decor/lighting and zero atmosphere. Felt more like a railway waiting room than a bar in a 5-star hotel. Room: Aircon very noisy Bath water not so hot on first night Nescafé and powdered milk is a bit of a poor offering Pool is fantastic. Great size and perfect temperature, but: No Cointreau for cocktails (I wanted a margarita) Drinks service took forever on first day Room service got our order wrong. We were sent veg noodles and chicken with ginger & scallion. We actually ordered chicken noodles and shrimp with ginger & scallion. However, the food was delicious and we were hungry so we didn’t say anything at the time. One final note - I spent half an hour completing an online questionnaire for the hotel but it wouldn’t let me submit it at the end so all the information was lost.
Maidens never fails to deiight, the staff is it's main asset, they are warm, polite and really do go the extra mile to meet guests needs. The food was consistently excellent, breakfast was awesome. The pool area is immaculately clean and the staff there really ensures you are hydrated and comfortable. Thank you to all,we can't wait for our next trip to Delhi, which will of course be to Maidens Hotel
We had a remarkable stay! The staff went above and beyond every single day and we are truly grateful for the experience. The groundskeepers do an amazing job and the outdoor space is incredible. The room was a little musty and a bit outdated decor-wise, but the hotel, grounds, and pool more than made up for it. We had a wonderful stay and we chose the perfect hotel in Delhi!!!!
Lovely heritage property surrounded by beautiful gardens. Fabulous room. Staff were always smiling and helpful. Pool was large and in a beautiful bird filled garden. Our stay felt very peaceful.
Fantastic, world-class hotel
This is a really brilliant hotel in every respect. The service was phenomenal and the staff was outstanding, especially Mehak at the front desk. We told them that it was our honeymoon and we received an upgrade and beautiful room decoration. The room was extremely spacious, with a very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom facilities. The pool is lovely to lounge by and the food options are great. We had a fantastic stay at this world-class hotel and cannot have been more satisfied.
Maidens is a wonderful hotel - highly recommended. It’s a classic building, very well maintained, and the service is impeccable.
Gorgeous hotel, a little outdated which can also be charming. The staff were outstanding, very friendly and helpful.
Special complements to the Chef and his dining and kitchen staff.
Very nice hotel, professional and friendly staff
Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel in colonial style. Servis perfect, personal very helpful and friendly
A wonderful heritage property with large rooms, good location and amazing staff.
By far the best hotel in New Delhi. Proabably in all of India
Property is breathtaking 😍

Unique experience !
It is a historic hotel where you feel the ambiance of the early 20th Century. The staff was extremely friendly and respectful despite the fact that I was absolutely not a high contribution customer. That's the mark of high class institutions. I advice customers to take profit of the huge swimming pool and the beautiful park which is a real oasis of nature within one of the biggest cities of the world.
